What's up with using Beijing as name of the restaurant when nothing here is anything close to the real deal Beijng food? Better watch Tony Bourdain to get educated on the vast style of cuisine in China. Really a shame to see how the pride of capital city of China and its food get completely misrepresented.

Seriously bad. There are so many storefront type Chinese places....try a different one!

This has been my family's Chinese restaurant for a long time. Their General Chicken is my favorite and their egg rolls are the best that I've ever had. I measure all other egg rolls against theirs.

Looking for delicious Americanized Chinese? Look no more! My family and I have been frequenting Beijing as our go-to Chinese restaurant for over twenty years, and in that time we've kept coming back on a near-monthly basis. Why? Their food is second-to-none in the area! Those looking for authentic Beijing food in Minnesota, much less the suburbs, are sadly misguided. They'd be better off looking in Minneapolis, and leaving this delicious spot for those who can appreciate the hard work Beijing puts into its craft. Our favorites have been consistently fantastic over the years--Tiger Pork (crispy spicy fried pork), Mongolian Beef (savory cuts of beef), and their Pork Fried rice continue to delight us year after year. The owner, Paul, is accommodating and amicable. Be sure to pay in cash for a discount!

I feel an absurd loyalty to the Chinese restaurant I grew up with. For me, that's Leo's Chow Mein. For my friend Andrew, it is Beijing... and he suggested we have lunch there when we were roaming around Minnetonka a couple weeks ago. It's your typical strip mall Chinese eatery with the horoscope placemats and everything. There's something on the menu called "Buddles Paradise," and that made me laugh exceptionally hard... but there's really nothing exceptional about the restaurant. One huge, huge plus for me was that they actually have a note on the menu that they'll make dishes gluten free as long as you're spending at least $5 total. There's no extra charge for it. The service was friendly and fast (we were the only customers at the time), they offer tea right away, splitting the bill was no problem since you pay at the counter, and the prices were normal. I ended up ordering a garlic stir-fry with veggies, chicken, shrimp and scallops. I didn't eat any of my scallops (after the first one) and wouldn't recommend ordering seafood here. The rest of the dish was fine though, but predictably generic. If this were the most convenient Chinese restaurant for me, I might feel a loyalty to it, but it's not and I don't. It's just OK.

We just moved into the neighborhood and really hoped that Beijing would be a regular joint for us. Mmm not Very much Americanized Chinese and a bit overpriced for the quantity. Short ribs were fair, about 8 pieces? Mapo tofu - no spice and made w frozen peas and carrots . We got some boba but they were out of bubbles so replaced w jellies. I give one star for the effort. If we want Americanized Chinese, I'll go to one of those joints that deliver. What I found extremely funny was their claim to fame on the to-go menu - best Szechuan by Star Tribune ... Back in 1986!!! Ok- really folks?? Really?!

We have enjoyed Beijing for many years. Love the hong kong shrimp and the beef lo mein. Our kids thinks this is the best Chinese in the area.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
