They have great daily specials ranging from roasted chicken, gyro, stromboli to burritos. Some of the daily specials or regular meals you can get for under $5.00 with tax. Try their roasted chicken or their chicken gyro plate. I usually have enough food for at least two people and leave happy and full.

Yes, I will start with the cliche as well, because it's true. It's a hidden gem in the DT Mpls. lunch scene.Easily missed in part because it's located down the escalator from Dave's Downtown in the corner of the main level, Valentino's is definitely worth the escalator ride down and occasional missed trip to Dave's.. Lucky for me some co-workers discovered this and we ended up heading there 3 times a week. After a couple of weeks if I was straggling and made it in after my friends they'd tell me, "oh! Your friends were just here!". It was the same staff every day and they were very customer friendly, and they remembered my standard order quickly. Without going into the gory details, I am, to my chagrin, not able to eat a lot of food at one time. Not usually a problem when I'm able to go straight home and bring leftovers, but my workplace was not set up to easily do that. The great thing about Valentino's is that they let you order just one taco, a la carte, and it's around $2. Much better than the $4 for a single taco at Chipotle, and better tasting too. My personal favorite was the shredded chicken, with some onion, cheese, an sour cream. As is my weakness, I love to ask for extra of the bad stuff and with generous helpings of cheese and cream, and between this and the juice from the chicken marinade, this taco was a delicious mess. I made sure my desk was stuffed with extra napkins just in case. They also sell canned pop (I hate pop in plastic bottles for whatever reason). It was pretty awesome to get an awesome taco and 2 cans of pop for less than $5. Even if you go for the heartier food options, it's still a great deal and from what my friends say it's all good. Many of them were especially fond of a gyro meat burrito. They have a decent selection of items and combos for the small size of the place, and I haven't heard a complaint about any of it as of yet. If you are in the area try and remember this place, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I was introduced to this place by a friend who was a 25 minute walk from his office.. that effort alone intrigued me. He pitched this place as "Chipotle on crack" I took his advice and was pleased with getting a burrito. However, I started to hear murmurs in line about the gyros and ended up trying the Gyro Plate with a side of fried rice another day. You are probably thinking... "Gyros and Fried rice?" But hear me out - the gyros are good - thinly sliced but sometimes the edges are frayed, which actually adds texture to it. That doesn't stop me though.. because the fried rice is really good. The rice is not too greasy and is actually a great complement to the gyros as well as the cucumber sauce that's provided. This is my "go to" meal downtown when I don't know what I want - because its always a solid eat. The chicken tacos were really good too but they didn't fill me up as well as the Gyro plate did. And generally everything is kept at a good price, usually under $6.50. I always try to pay cash to help them keep the prices low.. and to support them. They are always friendly. Its an interesting deli, as they sell gyros, fried rice, chicken tacos, burritos. and some other stuff that is probably good too.. its just been hard to deviate because i enjoy my comfort food.

Great lunch place! I stopped here because of other positive reviews on Yelp, and I was not disappointed! EXCELLENT food! Fast service and reasonable prices. I had the shredded chicken soft tacos and they were outstanding. The only downside was that it has very limited seating. So if you go during the lunch rush, you may want to take it to go. I'll definitely be back the next time I am downtown.

This place is the truth when it comes to price and great food! Hidden within the AT&T tower, downtown Minneapolis, lies Valentino's. When it comes to service, they always seem extremely friendly and leaves a positive mood around the restaurant. Burritos can easily compete with Chipotle. They also have other foods to choose from which is pretty good for the price. If you're looking for some good ole' burritos, fried rice, gyros, or even some salad, Valentino's is the spot!

Generally just going to echo what William said. This place is a somewhat hidden gem. Hidden in it's location, not hidden in that there are virtually always people in there. For what it is, it's perfect. Cheap, quick, good food. And lots of it. Specials including meal, side, and drink under 7 bucks. A variety of items to choose from for the burritos/tacos. I generally go with a buffalo chicken burrito but have gotten others and always been quite happy. Also, the employees are very friendly and not in an disingenuous way... Just nice people. If I'm alone, I'm in and out within 25 minutes. If you're with others or just want to sit for longer than that, you can. There's also seating space in the lobby outside for when it's really busy. I don't see any reason to not give this place five stars--again, for what it is, it's pretty perfect.
