i LOVE food trucks. sometimes i wish that i had a shitty, soul-sucking corporate cubicle office job downtown if for no other reason than to have easy access to food trucks. this being said, i make special ventures downtown to food trucks as necessary. this usually results in me driving around downtown for 10 minutes trying to find a metered spot available so i can walk to my truck of choice. the turkey sandwich is just as amazing as everyone else has already said. super juicy, seasoned but not too salty, truly delicious with no need for additional condiments. YUM! totally worth the special trip. :)

Turkey bombwich! Juicy as hell and tasty as heaven. Avoid Thursdays as the line is crazy with the farmer's market going on. Do get their Rocky Road Cookie. It's double chocolate, caramel gooeys and marshmallows in a shape of a cookie! I don't want summer/fall to end just so we have these trucks staying around! Or somebody enlighten me, do they stick around during our hell hole of a winter?

If one can have turkey fantasies, they will all be fulfilled here. Amazingly tasty turkey sandwiches~ moist, perfectly flavored, and quite fab with a dash o' Ken Davis. I just enjoyed the down-home feeling I got from the warm turkiness in my belly. It made me think of family parties in my mom's garage, with all the love that goes into that sort of food. Which might sound a little silly, but for me, this place epitomizes what a turkey sandwich is and means to a Midwestern kid. God damn. I would have given the full five if my cookie hadn't been so damn hard...

Awesome turkey sandwich - a great value for very tasty, juicy, turkey sandwiches! By far my favorite food truck downtown...and when it gets cold out, love that they have a restaurant in the skyway.

Arguably my favorite booth at the Fair is now possibly my favorite food truck on the Mall. After much waiting, I was finally able to venture over. On a Farmers Market day, no less. There almost no line at the booth on 6th but I opted for the 8th Street truck for its more convenient proximity. The line moved quickly and, as reviewers have noted, there is no wait time. You order and the food is in your hands in moments. I decided on the turkey sandwich with brie and cranberry sauce. the turkey is juicy, and the toppings are both delightfully present without overwhelming the meat. the whole thing practically melts in your mouth. I am pleased, and i'll be back again to try more toppings: bleu cheese with buffalo sauce.

This was the best turkey sandwich eveh!!!!!! OMG ... why did it take me so long to come here. I was stuck in a meeting that over ran (some people talk waaaaay too much and about nothing). I had about 15 minutes until my next meeting so I ran out to find something for lunch. The lines were long everywhere so I decided to try another food cart. They served it up quick and hot. Then I took it back to my desk. The first bite made me want to hide in a conference room and not let anyone know I was eating the sandwich in a Homer Simpson fashion. YES it was that good. Basically my drooling and noises would have made my co workers say "I'll have what she is having." I think it is fair to say I will be going back.

I love this sandwich! So moist. So juicy. So...juicy turkey sandwich heaven! You'll lick the wrapper clean, it's that good. You'll drive into Minneapolis from the 'burbs just to get this sandwich, it's that good. It's the only thing you'll eat at the Statefair, it's that good. Can't wait for Skyway locations to open in time for winter. Then I can get my tukey sandwich fix on, year round!

Allow me to reinterpret a classic tune by The 504 Boyz: You ain't gotta say too much from the look in your eyes I can tell you want the truck and you ain't gotta call me your boo just as bad as you want the truck, I want the truck too... I remember the dude in Trading Places advising, "It ain't cool bein' no jive turkey so close to Thanksgiving." Well, The Turkey To Go Cart damn sure IS cool, all day every day. You wouldn't expect a janky looking mini-truck to serve up a moist, succulent sandwich, but Turkey To Go delivers all that and then some. The brie and cranberry topping... *croons in ecstatic, orgasmic D'Angelo falsetto* I suggest getting the large version of this sandwich (it can be confusing at first, because the regular size is called "giant"), rushing to a very private nook of your office or home, and slipping gently into turkey nirvana. First time I tasted this tender turkey treat I reacted exactly like this: replygif.net/i/1049.gif As far as food trucks go, this is a 5 Star gem.

Fair warning, this review is based off of *one bite* of a friend's sandwich, but hey, that's all I needed to know I was in love. This turkey is so *(&@^#$@# moist and flavorful. It doesn't need any sauce (which surprises the heck outta me...) and the bun isn't anything fancy. In all honesty, you don't even need the bun when the turkey is the star of this show. I seriously need to get back and order my own sandwich sooner rather than later.

As we were waiting in line, I was thinking about how funny it would be to get a turkey leg. Everybody would be all, "Did you see that neanderthal woman on Nicollet Mall. That was messed up." And I'd be like, "SUCKAAAHS!" [chomp]. Seriously though, turkey legs are super delicious, but during the lunch hour they are a little strange unless you are King Arthur or Mel Gibson or something. I went for the other menu item at Turkey To Go (they only have the two): the turkey sandwich. Sweet mother of poultry... it's amazing. I'll give thanks for this turkey sandwich whenever I get the opportunity. It's shredded turkey on a standard white bun. It looks so boring when you get it. It's not boring when you eat it though. The turkey juice soaks into the bun so by the time you're finishing your last precious mouthfuls, you're basically eating a meaty, spongy mess that tastes even better than the first bite. Another nice thing about this truck is that line moves quickly because they don't have to cook anything as you order, unlike some of the other trucks where you might have to wait another 10 minutes after you order to get your food. They hand you your sandwich as soon as they have your $5.50 in hand. The sole reason I didn't give it a full five-stars is because I wish they had more varieties of sauces. They had some cajun seasoning and BBQ sauce (and maybe one other), but that was pretty much it. Granted, this turkey needs no dressing, but it would also go well with just about anything spicy, sweet, tangy, whatever. They could get pretty creative with it.

The turkey sandwich with BBQ sauce was pretty fabulous and similar to a pulled pork sandwich. I kept adding sauce as I ate since we downed our food right beside the cart. It's conveniently located on Nicollet mall right outside the US Bancorp center so you can't miss it! Honestly, I could have eaten two of their turkey sandwiches. It is a decent size but you'll be hungry again in a few hours...Fast service, good food, I'm a fan!

Honestly? Not my favorite. I can definitely see why people like the place, though. It's nice to have a chance to substitute the typical BBQ pulled pork sandwich for turkey. It's the kind of thing I would have loved had it been provided at a grad party or something, but I finished up my lunch wishing I had gone elsewhere.

Had the huge 1/2 pounder! It cost $9, but it was well worth it! Warning, eating this during the day may make you drowsy! Tryptophan overdose!

I've had three sandwiches from Turkey to Go now and all three have been ridiculously good. The dude running the trailer noticed I was going to be throwing it in my backpack and cycling away so he threw it in an extra bag for me. I didn't think it was necessary, but when they say "juicy" it is the kind of juicy that will find its way through a number of foil sheets and out into your bag. It would have leaked juice all over the inside of my backpack had I not taken his suggestion. Next time I go there (AKA Today!) I'll have to try the half pounder, for buying and consuming two of them a day might be too much. Then again it might be just the right amount. I suggest we all give this cart a try. I hear tell that he spends weekends in Uptown. So he is never far away.

I LOVE going to the LA County Fair and getting a turkey leg. So when I found this truck on the Nicollet mall--I was there! This truck apparently is a crowd pleasure at the local Minneapolis fair--I can see why. The turkey is dark meat, juicy and tasty. Asked for the add on cranberry and brie. Brie quantity a little light in quantity but flavor still evident, Cranberries were abundant. Bread is a hamburger bun--this is the only disappointment-- it became soggy. I would have preferred a denser roll to soak up the juices. Cost wise--it is $8.00 for the above.

If you love meat. Then this is it! If you have to have something else in your burger, then it may not be a fit :) But I have to admit, their turkey meat is increadibly juicy for me!!!
