Lunch rush downtown and all the food trucks are lined up its hard to pick which one and since the sushi truck was not long of a line I head there praying that I won't get sick because that's all I can think to myself "sushi from a food truck?!" a choice for that day I won't regret!! They take cash and credit! Which is a plus because some food trucks don't offer the credit option! I've since been there twice and plan to go back for more. The sushi is extremely fresh even fresher than the sushi I've eaten at notable sushi restaurants in the Twin Cities. I've tried the spicy tuna and the mexican roll both are delicious and loaded with fish. They make it fresh in front of you right when they receive your order and you are on your way to munching on it less than 5min from the time you order, pay, and receive the goods. They offer sparkling water and plain water only for beverages no soda here. One thing I would like to mention though is the sushi pieces are HUGE like unless you like to stuff your mouth of sushi and unable to talk every time you scarf it down. I suggest you take it easy with two bites. They add a lot of rice but its so soft and yummy you end up not minding because they don't skimp on the fish in the process. Overall 5 stars for sushi-tastic-ness and super friendly sushi chiefs win win for everyone!

Try this place out quick! It's going to be huge :) The guys working this truck are soo friendly and awesome. The guy taking care of the customers on the street saw me looking at their menu and immediately asked me what kind of sushi I liked. He made a great recommendation of the 14-2 maki roll and I decided to go with that. It was a 10-piece roll and it was a perfect lunch that left me satisfied and happy! A 10-piece roll for $14 that was fresh, beautifully prepared right before me and was accompanied with wasabi and ginger. They even have napkins rolled with chopsticks and little containers of soy sauce. Seriously, a lot of thought and talent has gone into this little truck! The sushi was quality and worth my $14 (yes a bit of a splurge on a lunch but c'mon it's sushi...this can easily be spent sitting down at a mediocre lunch spot). The line wasn't long (but I will expect it to grow very soon...) and it took a matter of 10 minutes to make my decision, order and have it right before me. I will definitely be back to try the Mexican Roll! Great first experience.

Was expecting better... I originally wanted to order something safer for my first time at a sushi food truck, but they had already run out of crab at 11:30am. I tried the spicy tuna, which was OK. It had a peppery aftertaste that was too overpowering for the roll. I like spicy, just not a teaspoon of table pepper. I really wish I had liked this place more because I heart sushi. :(

Sushi Fix serves the best sushi in the Twin Cities. I have yet to visit the restaurant, but they serve excellent sushi from their food truck. The price is very good for the high quality. The owner is friendly and will answer questions. This fish is purchased each morning. It's the real deal, so don't be afraid to give it a try just because it's from a food truck.

Sushi from a truck sounds a little wonky right? Wrong! The skyway has quite a few sushi options but they are all pre-rolled boxed supermarket style sushi (as far as I know anyways). Today, as in a real sushi place, I got to watch my sushi be cut and hand rolled to order. I got the sushi fix (4 piece nigiri with a spicy tuna roll -there are other options too) for $15. Not too shabby considering the quality, which I was impressed with for a sushi truck. I can eat a lot of sushi esp since it's kind of a luxury for me. This was actually the perfect amount for lunch. I was sitting pretty and right at satisfied. You can choose what you want for the nigiri but I let the chef pick and ended up with salmon, tuna, yellowtail and white tuna. The white tuna was a new experience for me, one which I enjoyed but in the future will stick to my salmon and tuna which are my favs. With the roll you can choose between spicy tuna, blazin california and sushicado. I chose the spicy tuna, which I thought could've been spicier but then again I put siracha on almost everything that goes into my gullet. It wasn't some tiny little 6 nugget sized bites either. I easily could have cut each slice in half for two bites if it wasn't for the difficulty of slicing through seaweed with chopsticks. I also thought the quality of the fish was pretty good as well. It's not Masu but it's on par, I think, with some of the not as wallet raping places in the twin cities. Their other more creative rolls sound delish and though I'm not a fan I am impressed with rice paper being on the menu. I'm no MSP sushi expert but it's not something I see a lot on menus here so to see it tells me these guys know their sushi. All in all I was impressed. For a quick, quality lunch stop for sushi I can't imagine it gets any better. Take it back to your desk though. This is not a very freindly food for walking and eating. The people running the truck are super nice too...kind of trend I've noticed in the food trucks of the cities. Sushi fix if you read this could you consider using those tiny plastic cups (like for jello shots) for soy sauce? It's a tad difficult to put soy on the nigiri and mix wasabi into soy without a little bowl like area to do so.

Absolutely love, love, love their sushi! This is the only place in downtown Minneapolis that doesn't serve pre-made sushi for lunch. Great service and food - the best combo ever!

Simply the best sushi you'll find in downtown minneapolis. His specials, whether the Lomi Lomi or Ceviche or just a specialty roll are well worth the trip and I promise you, you will go back.
