Had the philly cheese hoagie last night. It was delish! Service was decent. Good happy hour! Would go again!

Well if you have a gluten allergy I would avoid this place. They just removed all of their gluten free items from the menu.

Management in the front of the house is a joke. The general manager does not support or help his staff one bit, seems more interested in meeting girls than running the bar. Consistently out of product at the bar, changing beer selection to much without any clue what actually tastes good. The food is phenomenal and the only saving grace for this place. Someone noted that this is a black owned business in the Twin Cities not sure what that has to do with running a bar but maybe finding a qualified general manager would be a start to becoming a legitimate bar.

The food is great here and the best part about the place. The rum cured salmon and the buffalo chips are wonderful appetizers! The service can be inconsistent which can be frustrating at times. The crowd can be hit or miss as well, but they are trying to bring in fun entertainment as well.

While the bar and grill is still trying to find it's "sea legs", they would defiantly achieve more gains, by partnering with someone whom knows the restaurant industry from the inside, and not just a patron. Granted, it's very nice looking spot, the challenges I've experienced the several time I've gone, continue to sour my desire to return. My experiences to date: 1) Bartenders, not skilled, and are working with a limited or NO product to service the customer. How a bar runs out of cranberry juices, or does not have the items listed on their beverage menu available is not good. 2) In my observed the severs are not supported by the management, as it appeared more important for them to flaunt about verse offering assist with washing glasses, clearing tables, stock, etc. John Taffer may need to visit SBG. 3) What I've sample of the food, has been tasty and consistent, running out of a primary offering, chicken wings. Disturbing!! SBG has great potential to attract and maintain, a mature, stable client base, but the adjustment noted above, in my opinion must be addressed.
