I dont know what it is but I've been coming here 2-3 times a week. I'm trying to try everything on the menu but I keep getting my "old reliable" Spicy Dijon sirloin sandwich. Ok, its not that spicy at all but the Dijon does have a good bite to it. The sandwich for some reason is the best of everything. Bread; flaky and moist, meat; unbelievable, just a delicious sandwich. And once and a while I splurge and get the Big Sack, sandwich, chips, drink and wait for it a GIANT warm chocolate chip cookie! Favorite lunch on the minneapolis skyway!

One of the best places to grab lunch in DT Saint Paul. The food is very fresh and taste delicious. Reasonable pricing. There is a sandwich for everyone here, I got the buffalo chicken and it was definitely worth my money. Definitely get a chocolate chip cookie, you won't regret it. Also the staff here are very friendly, big plus.

This place is the BOMB for lunch. I go here at least once per week because I am addicted to the friendly staff and delicious food. The curry butternut squash soup is super tasty, and you can pair it with 1/2 salad or 1/2 sandwich for just $7! Um, hello good value for great food!! I've had the carribean mango and strawberry goat cheese salads, and the greek chicken and ranch chicken club sandwiches, and they have all been satisfying and yummy. Just a warning that their full-size salads are massive (esp. if you add chicken) - it took me like an hour to eat one. And this girl can EAT! I've never ordered a full sandwich because I assume they would be massive as well. It is take-out only, so I just bring it back to work or find somewhere else to chow down. The only thing I would change about the place would be to put a big, fat TIP jar out for the awesome people who work there!

Perfect job for my corporate lunch meeting. Delivered 15 minutes before promised. Food was fresh, cold and delicious. All implements were included. No hassles, no worries! I will use again next time I am in downtown Minneapolis!

I am always looking for a big, satisfying salad place downtown and I've finally found it! I ordered the salad with mango, greens, and goat cheese and added chicken. It was fantastic! I will definitely be back here again soon. Also, salad, a drink, and a roll were only $9!

Healthier sandwiches with a cheaper price... Perfect place for people who count on calories and diet things... various choices to choose with and people serve here with a smile and that matters a lot... will go for sure

I had a Cobb salad and it was great. I added a chicken breast and it seemed like 2 since there was so much meat. It came with fresh bread and butter. The dressing was very good and the salad was quite large. That's coming from a big guy who can eat a lot. Great place to grab a healthy lunch quick.

After deciding I didn't want the same old lunch I normally grab in the skyway, I searched for something I hadn't tried before. Real Meal popped up and the menu looked good. I ordered the Bacon Bleu Sirloin sandwich and a small cup of the Curry Butternut Squash soup. The woman at the register asked if I wanted to go with the Soup & Sandwich Sack combo for only 25 cents more and I could get a pop and a cookie. I said sure and was appreciative of the fact that she offered this. The sandwich was DELICIOUS! The ingredients were fresh, big large flavorful tomato slices, crisp romaine lettuce, crunchy real bacon bits and a large portion of sirloin. The bleu cheese was present but not overpowering, just the right amount as to not make the sandwich soggy. Sirloin was cooked thoroughly but was soft and flavorful, which is something I like as sometimes at other places it seems to be a bit pink which makes me worried in a fast food joint. The small soup was just the right size, flavorful and hot. The texture was smooth, not too watery and not too thick where you had to slurp it up. I would order both again, but will definitely be back for the sandwiches as they had so many interesting looking items on the menu! Definitely a great value, sandwich, small soup, cookie and 12oz pop for $9.05+ tax. I couldn't even eat everything so part was saved for later. Thinking this will be my new go-to spot for lunch in the skyway!

I really like this place for lunch. The lunch sack option (sandwich or salad with chips, drink, cookie for $9) is a good deal considering the amount of food you get. However, I prefer the downtown Mpls location in the TriTech building over the location in the Baker building. The TriTech location is a little less busy and much roomier with lots of seating. They have a good variety or sandwiches and salads that are all very tasty. If you're looking for a variety of soups to choose from, I would go elsewhere. While they have soup, there's not much variety. It's also worth branching out and having the daily lunch special which tend to be a different type of food outside what is traditionally considered "deli". I had the Roast Beef/mashed potatoes and it was excellent. All-in-all, very tasty and I would recommend.

This skyway location recently opened up and I happened to stroll by and notice their offerings since I am always on the lookout for new downtown lunch options, particularly sandwiches. For some reason I could not get their website to work properly so a week or so later I stopped in and just ordered something. I got the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich, which had nicely sized slices of chicken and your typical toppings, along with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos and a chipotle dressing. I got the Country White roll as the bread. The sandwich was very robust and fresh, and the bread was tasty and hearty. The chipotle sauce was about what you'd expect and the sandwich was large enough to be a meal on its own. I also got a cup of the Chicken Wild Rice soup, which was very good and appeared to be made from scratch, as advertised. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and from what I can tell this location is an extension of an establishment in St Paul. The only thing that's a bit of a downer with this place is that they have no seating, and it's a bit too expensive considering there are other options nearby that are cheaper. A full sandwich and cup of soup came to $10 even, which is well over what I would prefer to pay. Still, it came with a choice of 2 'extras', which included a drink and a very large cookie (the other option was chips, although there may be others). Overall it was very filling and tasty and I will certainly come back again, perhaps with a downsized cap on spending in mind. They have enough sandwich and soup options to keep me interested for a while, if only on a half-sandwich/soup combo at a time.

Yum :) Great Sandwich. I had the Josie's Club which was big enough to eat for two days.

I've been to Real Meal two days in a row now for lunch -- the Baker Center location. It is a counter only location (no seating), but that doesn't matter to me as I eat lunch at my desk (sad, I know). Yesterday I had the turkey and goat cheese sandwich. Everything about the sandwich was great but the one thing that could have been better was the turkey itself -- it was deli thin turkey, and I think if there was actually sliced turkey breast in here it would be better. Very generous with the goat cheese and the fruity compote on top though and the bread is fabulous. Today I had the Greek chicken sandwich -- wow. SO GOOD. Just great flavors all over the place. The chicken is actual sliced chicken breast, and the feta, olives, and tzaziki are all so good. The bread is also still great. And a huge sandwich for $6? A bargain downtown, especially given the great flavors. A definite recommend.

Pros: Haven't had anything there that I didn't love. Their Italian Chicken and Greek Chicken sandwiches are my favorite. And the Buffalo Chicken does have some zing, if that's your thing. The buns are awesome, and the dressings are tasty. Cons: Not anywhere close to me, and no seating. Not their fault, but still a con (the seating part, I guess). I don't think it's too expensive. They always have a reasonable daily special, and if you order a sandwich (which I usually do), it's an even $6. You'd pay that for a footlong at Subway and it wouldn't be half as good.

Working downtown, I have to confess that the lunch spots can get pretty boring after many years of eating out every single day; even the food trucks all blend together after awhile. A few new places opened up recently but none really stuck out for me (I give the sushi place by Target HQ a few more months and I prefer Potbelly's over Which Wich any day). I was about to give up hope on the food scene when I stumbled up this gem of a sandwich shop located in the Baker Square building last week. They've been around for a few years now and i am so happy to have found them. On my first visit i had the chicken ranch club (LOVED it!) and a cup of homemade curry butternut squash soup (delicious!). Add a cookie and drink and my meal came out to only $10. For the quality and amount of food you get, this is a GREAT deal! Real Meal is known for their on-site roasted chicken breasts and sirloin steaks so I am determined to come back and try everything on the menu. The guys working there are so friendly that i would come back just for them alone! As for not having seating, please don't let that stop you from going!
