So fresh. So delicious. Crust. Sauce. Mozzarella. #onpoint Quick and easy. Comparable to NY/NJ grandma styled pizza. I didn't feel bloated or guilty after eating this. It's enough to split between two people (that might be debatable if it's two football players) xo and enjoy!

My favorite spot to grab a quick lunch or dinner to go! I love that their food is not only delicious but also made with real and super fresh ingredients. My favorite pizza is the Vesuvio, but I usually get the Greco or Italian Chopped salad when I stop in--which is incredibly often seeing as I live 50 feet from this place. Best place for a bite on East Bank for sure.

This is probably my favorite pizzeria ever. It's as authentic as it gets: dough rolled and tossed fresh, add red sauce, mozzarella, fresh basil, and then it goes straight to the wood burning oven for 90 seconds. The result: a wet juicy limp pizza (in the best sense possible) that's absolutely to die for. I've been eating the margherita pizza here for years, and it never gets old! This is a timeless product that has stayed true to tradition yet remains accessible to the masses. Bonus points - the prices at the Stadium Village location are actually cheaper than the other locations. A standard pie is $5.50 so it's a really good deal. The staff is always friendly, the atmosphere cool, and they even have beer & wine. One time I saw JP sitting by the pizza oven (he's the owner of Punch and also the founder of Caribou Coffee) so you know the ownership is very hands-on and cares about the quality of its operations. Seriously, don't even bother with the other pizza places on campus. Punch is the real deal!

"Punch Pizza for lunch!" is what we tell our relatives every time we visit Minneapolis. Friendly staff, service is pretty quick even when it gets noisy and crowded (it's a college town after all) We enjoy the setting and it's nice to sit around a real wooden table and eat with real silverware. More than that, the pizza crust is perfectly thin and crispy, (love the pizza filled with house salad), and lots of choices for both vegetarians and carnivores in the group

I am not the biggest pizza fan and so I hardly give pizzerias super high ratings. But this one surpasses expectations in so many aspects. I was in town this weekend visiting a friend and to be perfectly honest I was the most thrilled when she suggested a pizza place for our first meal here together. But it all changed when we stepped into the restaurant. The waitress learnt that it was my first time there, and patiently proceeded to explain to me the types of pizza they offer, making recommendations to the types and number of toppings for their make your own pizzas. So I went to create my own, looking forward to my fav of eggplant, mushrooms, prosciutto and garlic combo. There are so many options for customizations you can make your pizza as simple or as elaborate as you like. My friend had the pizza with fresh greens on top, which was a first fir me and I totally loved the taste and the concept. They make your pizza to order, and cook it in an 800 degree wood burning oven. The crust is thin so it fills you up less quickly. Our orders came quickly, but they made mine without the mushrooms the first time. I didn't even realize that, but they did. So they brought out the first pizza, told me they are doing a new one, and gave us one whole pizza for free. Their attention to detail and level of customer service really impressed me. To be honest I would have gone ahead even the pizza came without mushrooms. Which was why I was so amazed. Most places would have talked to you first before going ahead to make a new order. My experience here has been unsurpassed and positive in so many ways that I will recommend my friends who are in Minneapolis and also visit again on my next trip to town.

When I think of getting some pizza, I think of this place due to the close proximity to my office as well as home (we frequent the Northeast Punch Pizza when closer to home). My very first experience with Punch was at their Grand Avenue location in St. Paul, on a very warm and lovely Friday evening in August 2012. Life was good, it was summer and I was happy! Punch Neapolitan Pizza is probably my favorite pizza outside of Chicago's famous deep dish pizzas. (Oh and Crescent Moon. Another favorite pizza choice!) There is something so magnificent about a freshly made wood-fired pizza, made just for you to enjoy all by yourself. The one size is ideal for one person, or if you want to share you can order two different pizzas and have a party with a variety of taste sensations. Their salads are also not to be missed. A large salad can easily fill two people, and it comes with 4 slices of thin and crispy sea-salt and rosemary Focaccia bread. The Chopped Italian salad is great, and so is their Caesar and Gorgonzola / Walnut salad. I haven't tried any others, but I've been making my way around their menu since the summer of 2012. And I'm not done yet! The Margherita is the archetype of great pizza. It all starts here, but you can build up from the Margherita (with basil) or even the Napoli (with oregano). Their extra toppings cost between $1-$2, depending on vegetables or meat choices. Everything is good. My other favorites from the Classic Pizza menu are the Toto (Prosciutto, red pepper, garlic, goat cheese) and the Siciliana (Artichokes, olives and prosciutto). This is not Pizza Hut or Domino's. You cannot compare Punch to anything you may have eaten at the chain pizza places. This is real Italian wood-fired pizza at its finest. Since we are in Minnesota, this is the closest we can get to Italy, so let's appreciate it for what it is. And enjoy it all! The brick oven fire smells, the look and feel of the fire-burnt crust, the wonderfully fresh and simple ingredients, the olive oil and balsamic vinegar that you dip your crusts in. The cold and crisp salads paired with the hot and cheesy pizza. It's almost a religious experience, every single time.

Definitely a must when visiting U of M. Great pizza, fast service, casual atmosphere.

Great casual date spot or a good spot to bring the family. Definitely a different kind of feel for the university environment, but more than worth checking out. I've also brought some study groups here and it's been a good spot for brainstorming. The food itself is pretty tasty. They just started a "build-your-own" pizza option, and the staff is always really helpful with what to put together. I also highly recommend mixing some of the vinegar and olive oil to dip your crust into after eating the actual pizza. So delicious! Not to forget, the food only takes a couple minutes to cook, but tastes like something that takes a lot longer to create.

Love this pizza place. The chewiest dough I have found. Pizza is freshly made as you order. Definitely my favorite pizza.

This is a pizza place really close to campus. They have really thin crust pizza that is always freshly made when you place the order. We got 2 pizzas, the Toscano and the Siciliana. I ordered the Tuscano which has sausage, roasted red peppter and cracked red pepper and basil. It was really good and not too heavy, which was great after my birthday. Aries ordered the Siciliana which has prosciutto, artichokes, picholine olives and basil. I don't really like olives, but they way they roasted them and along with the baking of the pizza, made them really delicious.

We ate here yesterday for lunch. We are in town visiting the University and this was the first place we visited. The staff was very friendly and explained the different options. My husband and I got two different pizzas and split them. Both were very good. I definitely recommend this place.

Punch is five star experience, but the best part of the campus location is the large high top that seats 12 and is next to a garage door that when opens creates perhaps the best experience you could ever hope for on campus. It seems I'm often here after a rain storm, so imagine that warm night where the smells of rain and Punch compete with a view of the McNamara Center and the energy of college...perfection.

This is the best lunch to be had on the East Bank. I am a fan of the Buffalina Pizza and the oh-so delicious Punch Salad. I have moved away from the area recently and still crave food from Punch.

Recommended by some local. The service was incredible, the lady was willing to explain the entire menu, what's popular and her favorite. I got the TOTO, and it was incredible! Prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula, basil, amongst other things. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Highly recommend!

This place reminds me of the pizza I'd get during my semester in Italy at a little place called Pizza Cristian in Milan... #nostalgia. Their brick oven fired pizzas are perfection, as you can read from the previous reviews- they certify all their chefs in Italy, so you know the stuff is authentically made. The pizzas are crispy and cheesy and perfectly cooked, every time. Bufalina mozarella is just so tasty. One of my favorite things though there is their Chopped Italian salad. Greens, tons of different meats and cheeses cubed, pepperoncini, carrots, white beans, pine nuts, prosciutto and tomato in some type of vinaigrette. This makes a good meal if you're not feeling the pizza- and it comes with some tasty wood-fired bread on the side. Follow them on Facebook for free pizza deals for things like Vikings wins and just because. As this is a college campus, this obviously gets out of hand, fast. Think lines a block long in the middle of February. Is it worth it? Free food is free food... It gets busy at lunch, too, so prepare yourself. Also, random, but they have ginger ale. I love ginger ale. And Pellegrino Limonata, which also reminds me of Italy. This is the best taste of Italy you'll get on campus, for sure.

I really love the original Punch Pizza in Highland park. The Dinkytown branch just isn't as good. I don't know whether it's the food or the fact that it's always insanely busy or what, but I just can't love it as much. Having said that, it's still a decent place if you like this style of za (hand tossed crust, simple ingredients, flash cooked in a really hot over so that it's often a bit charred on the edges.) The salads are good and it's nice that they have beer and wine. There are often coupons and specials around, in which case it becomes a viable alternative to fast food for the budget minded.

Man, this pizza is amazing! I can't even begin to describe how much I love Punch. If it weren't for how burnt the dough can get, I'd say I've always had a perfect experience every time. But seriously, neapolitan pizza is a godsend. I usually came here with some sort of coupon or promotion in hand since it's a little out of my usual budget. I say this because I love my toppings. So, I've really only tried the pizza. Have yet to taste the salads, focaccia, etc. Having said that, I think it's time I gave in to my craving again. The Napoli + mushroom + onion + ham/sausage = HEAVEN. The way the oregano, tomato, and every other ingredient simply harmonize and result in a creamy, chewy pile of goodness is just a work of art. Plus, I can easily eat a whole pizza and it doesn't go right through me afterwards, which must mean that it is at least a bit healthier than other chain pizzas. I can't quite recall if I've tried the margherita here, since I'm not too big a fan of basil. If you've ever been to Cafe Latte on Grand Avenue though, try their margherita. It is delicious, along with pretty much everything else they make there (hello, desserts!). I could go on and on about their food, but I must digress. Punch Pizza is to die for. If you haven't been, I suggest you go now.

Great, oven fired, hand tossed pizzas. Fresh, flavorful salads with quality ingredients (especially enjoy the Italian chopped). Nice wine & beer selection. Reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Quick service even when we come in prior to Gopher hockey games.

Good stuff, especially for quick work lunches. They have a new menu, which I appreciate. Simple: $5 pizza with $1 toppings. Salads are OK, I'd defer to pizza if you can, though their rosemary flatbread/focaccia (comes with every salad) is to die for.

I ordered the Siciliana which has prosciutto, artichoke, picholine olive, basil for 10.80. It's a thin crust pizza with a lot of toppings so the middle of the pizza inevitably became soggy and hard to eat. The crust was crunchy and tasty especially with the table side evoo and balsamic vinegar (maybe this is a Minnesota thing but it was great! better than papa johns garlic sauce).

Pretty authentic Italian pizzas, good service, and spacious space. Due to the current construction in the surrounding area, though, Punch at UMN needs to try harder than usual to draw in customers, who have trouble getting to the premises.

I absolutely love this place! The pizza is authentic Neapolitan style with variety of super fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Toto with Arugula, prosciutto, goat cheese, cracked red pepper, garlic. Oh My! I love the giant slices of garlic on this pie, just be sure to bring a breath mint :) The service at both the Stadium Village and Lake Calhoun locations are spot on! The staff takes the time to help understand the menu and are quick to help you to make a pie to fit your taste buds. This has become my go to pizza place in Minneapolis!

Yum, Yum, Yum...cheap lunch? Heck yeah! Margarita Pizza wood fired, covered a whole plate and filled me up for only 6.39 Can beat that. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the seating. Long table should be like 5 smaller ones, I don't really want to sit next to random people as if I was in a cafeteria.

Another 5 stars goes to Punch Pizza for being awesome again. 1) Cans for free pizza? This past Wednesday, Punch was able to get people to donate a can of food (or a bag if you pleased to) in exchange for a free pizza or a $5.95 credit towards a specialty pizza. They were able to donate over 6 tons of food (10,000 meals), doubling the donations from last year. YAY for Second Harvest and Punch's great promos to help others. 2) My new favorite thing. Punch offers their "Dead" pizzas all the time, you just need to ask for them, as they are no longer on the menu! My favorite is the Alla Panna, made with cream sauce, onion, parmesan, and prosciutto. Here is a listing of other "Dead" pizzas if you choose to opt for an oldie: punchpizza.com/food/mimi… Note: The cream sauce featured on a few of the oldies, is only offered at specific locations. Stadium Village is one of the locations where it is not offered.

food: 5 stars! yum yum yum! Love the pizza and the starters. They are aaaaamazingly fast. Super efficient and friendly! atmosphere: 1 star. Booo. There were so many children there. Loud, screaming children. If I had kids, I would take them there too, I am sure. Great food, pretty cheap, and super fast service. But as a young adult no where near that stage of my life, it was pretty off-putting to hear babies screaming from end to end of the restaurant. I would probably recommend take-out instead.

There is really only one BIG reason I go to Punch, their insane offers! I like Punch's pizza, but not enough to pay between $6 and $11 for a personal size. Luckily for me, Punch is an avid user of Facebook and Twitter. These guys (along with the other locations) are always posting good deals and giveaways. Just this week Punch gave away a free margherita or napoli pizza with a drink purchase. That's right, I got a pizza and drink for $1.65! Peal yourselves away from Yelp for a second to 'Like' Punch Pizza. You will be likely to get a few cheap, but very good pizzas out of the deal.

The salad the salad the salad!! The pizza the pizza the pizza!!! Boo on the focaccia...... Went here immediately after the IA-MN football game. Got there just in time because after us was a HUGE line...ordered the make our own pizza with sausage and shrooms, the chopped Italian salad, whole order of focaccia, and TWO bottles of wine to go (bottle of red, bottle of white--aaahh Billy Joel--but I digress). Guess how much this all cost? $68! WOW, compare and contrast to my room service experience at The Commons....great food great value. The chopped Italian salad was AWESOME. I could eat just that--it was so fresh, bursting with flavors, I cannot tell you how good it was. Perfect size. The pizza--and they were churning and burning (not literally) through pizzas due to the demand--was perfect. Nice thin crust, good ingredients, right amount of cheese (as in not too much). The focaccia was awful. The bread itself was marvelous and the herbs on it tasty too--but my God was it salty. Basically inedibly salty--and you couldn't shake it off, it was embedded....we both ate one bite and threw it away....:( Normally this would cause me to downgrade them, but everything else was sooooo good that I don't care. And the staff were wonderful. Friendly despite the crowd and helpful in choosing the bottles--BTW nice selections for a pizza place. Would go here all the time if I could.....

I love this place - flatbread pizza with fresh ingredients all baked to perfection in a traditional brick oven. It doesn't get much better than that! I'm a huge fan of the margherita pizza with balsamic. Service is fast, so I know I can come here when I have a craving and it will be satisfied without an excruciating wait. Parking is a trick with it being in St Anthony Main, but don't let that keep you from enjoying a bite here!

Great quality from a great local business. Punch has a limited menu of pizzas, but its easy to choose your ingredients and build your own so you can try something new every time. Not only are the pizzas amazing, but the salads are always fresh and flavorful, plus they come with yummy focaccia bread. Great place to bring out-of-towners!

They've been open for less than a week and I've already been here 3 times. I think I have a problem. I love that slightly charred taste from their oven. The crust is a little bit chewy, not too thick, not to thin - just perfect ... and their salads are wonderful, too. The salads are large and filling. As a bonus, you get focaccia topped with rosemary with your salad. So good! If you are used to getting a ton of toppings and lots of cheese, you may not like this place. It's pizza, but unlike pizza from the big chains, I don't feel like I've just eaten a big bowl of grease after eating Punch pizza. The toppings taste so fresh and light, but the pizza is enough to fill me up. Punch can get pricey if you get something other than the basic margherita or napoli pizza. However, they offer nice coupon deals so just sign up to be on their mailing list. On the downside, I tried eating in one time and that was a big mistake. The place was PACKED so the only place to sit was at the long table in the middle. It was so noisy that I had to practically shout to be heard by my lunchmate. It might have been better in a booth, but I've noticed that even when I'm just standing in line to get an order to go, it's loud. Must be something with the acoustics in the place. Minus one star for the deafening noise.

I love that they have balsamic and evvo available for my use at my table. The management is pretty awesome too. My artichoke dip was a little too salty and the manager comp'd me with a $20 gift card and a free ice cream. Excellent customer service!

I really feel like I'm the kid saying the emperor has no clothes, but Punch just isn't that great. I've been there twice. The first time I got a margarita pizza and was super pumped. It came super quick, which is what they advertise, so that's good. Really though, four small leaves of Basil? Not nearly enough and it made me sad. The outer crust tasted like burnt and that's understandable (You sit in 800 degrees and tell me you don't burn) but the inside portion of the pizza was sloppy and wet. In every slice you get first a rain fall of moisture, then a really tasty bite, then a dry, burnt crust. I went to this location wary of what had happened before, but it was long ago that I hoped that it was just a fluke and tried it again. Unfortunately, it was the same thing. They were out of their Bufala Mozzarella, but I doubt that it would have swayed me all that much. If they could cut out and serve just the middle ring of pizza, that would be what I would expect for the hype. The place looks really neat, and it's fun to see the pizzas sit so close to the fire every camping instinct screams "NO!! IT'S GONNA BURST INTO FLAMES!!!" I get it. It can be really tasty, uses great ingredients, and gives it to you quick. I just don't think it's worth the hype.

Love this place!! The pizza is incredibly and the punch salad is truly delicious. The dressing is so well balanced with the pine nuts, cheese, and Rosemary flatbread they serve it with will knock your socks off!

WAY better than the St. Paul location! My boyfriend wandered in on a beautiful March afternoon (you know, a few weeks ago when it was 80 degrees) after a hike around Lake Calhoun. We got around all of the construction and managed to get in which wasn't hard because all the doors were wide open! This location undoubtedly has a much more open, airy feel than the St. Paul location with the same delicious pizza! I love the inside/outside feel and super nice staff!

Punch pizza never fails to please. With bright sauces, fresh mozzarella, perfectly crafted doughs and a plethora of customer appreciation deals, Punch serves up some of the best--if not THE best--pizza in the twin cities areas. One word of advice, though: this place may not be for the uninitiated to true neapolitan-style pizza; if you're a bigger fan of deep dish pizzas, crispy thin crust pizzas or pizzas that pile on the hamburger meat and pineapples, try going somewhere like Black Sheep first to get a feel for how pizza from a wood-burning fire is supposed to taste. For those who enjoy trying new sensations, order the Margherita d.o.c, uncut. The extra olive oil and mozzarella di' bufala will never be a let-down.

I really like this location. Pizza is awesome as usual and the shop is pretty cool with all those posters from Italy (by the way I can assure they are authentic, I am actually wondering how they got a hold of those...). I like that you can eat at the "bar" as I don't like eating alone at the table. I also like the big central table for when I come here with a lot of friends. I like that in summer you can sit close to the open windows and feel like you are eating outside, and in winter the windows are closed but still big enough that you can feel like you are on a porch. Love it, only problem is as far away from the west bank as you can be while still being on campus.....

I moved up North from Chicago. In Chicago, we know great pizza. I am still looking for that awesome pizza that I'm used to. Still haven't found it but Punch is really good Neopolitan pizza. Not the deep dish or stuffed pie I'm used to, but I thought it was good and the best pizza I've tried up here so far.The chopped salad came with flatbread and was absolutely delicious. Cute restaurant. My kids and I came around 2pm during Winter Break so it wasn't crowded at all. I'm a fan!

Great neapolitan pizza. If you're looking for something with a little more distinct style than your traditional American pizza than this the place. The emphasize of Punch pizza is on flavor and simplicity. I love how simple their basic margherita pizza is, just sauce, basil, and spots of cheese, and you can get it for just $6. Stepping up in price you can get pizzas with roasted red peppers, salami, eggplant as well as a variety of cheeses too. The distinct flavor of Punch also comes from the fact that the use a wood-fired oven to cook. I love the smokey taste it gives the crust. The pizzas come in and out so quickly, and it's a plus that you can watch your order being made and baked from your seat too. The sauce is also wonderful as well, it's a feature of a pizza that could make or break it.

Came through after the Huskers beat the Gophers (no surprise there) before the rush. The two guy behind the counter were very helpful in pizza and beer selection. I ended up getting the Toto and a beer recommended by the guy working. We sat, took a sip of the tasty beers, and pizzas were out within minutes. So quick. The Toto was a good recommendation and the crust was thing and crispy, which I took as a go ahead to eat the entire pizza. And I did. It was that good.

I've always had a special place for new stuff - new shoes, new purses, and new locations of my favorite restaurants. This one is located next to the Chipotle on Oak and Washington by the U of M; you can't miss the amazing window and dark, wooden, external decor. I'm sure you've read other reviews about Punch on how great the food is. And nothing new here but the location... so visit while things are still bright, unbroken, clean, etc. I've always been a fan of the thick wooden seating and, especially, the communal table in the middle of the restaurant and this one is even more amazing-er (only because it's new and shiny... like my new shoes). So yeah, there's a Papa Johns across the street, but why settle for a plate o' grease (and a 45 minute wait) when you've got Punch Pizza? Oh, and the parking sucks. Street parking, but it's packed most of the time.

So the deal with Punch is they cook your pizzas at 800 degrees for 90 seconds. And they're not your ordinary pizzas either. I'm not sure what kind of sauce they use, but it isn't plain old marinara. Their pizzas come in a fairly large personal size. Not quite big enough for two hungry people, but more than enough for one. And that's kind of the way I like it. I've been here a half dozen times or so, and I have to say that I've never been disappointed with the quality of my food. The menu prices are really high though. You're talking about $10 for a pizza if you want any toppings on it. They do have special offers and coupons available very regularly though, so if your on the look out you can find a good deal.

Quick, tasty pizza that rivals what I got when I spent a semester abroad in Rome. Not your place if you're looking for cheesy, topping-covered pizza, but a great imitation of true Italian pizza.

I feel sorry for anyone that watches me eat while I'm here. I inhale this pizza because it's so damn delicious. If it was socially acceptable for me to order two at a time, I would. You walk in, order, and it's in front of you within five minutes. This is why I'll always be fat.

Besides Davanni's I would have to say this is right up there. The service and food were both great. The only down side to the restaurant was the crowed room. If you try to go during dinner times expect to stand for awhile.

If you're going to have Punch Pizza, please have it at the Northeast location on Hennepin or the Calhoun location and not this one. The pizza, salad, everything at this location and the Highland Park location is just NOT as good. And trust me I used to be the biggest punch pizza advocate. "NOT as good" as in NE is so much better that this is actually bad. And their salad portions are much smaller.

  • Dennis L.

Punch pizza is easily one of my favorite pizzas in town. There's something about eating fresh pizza coming out of a wood-fired oven that gives it a unique taste. Toss in some fresh mozzarella and some basil or oregano and now we're talking some good grub. Even better is that you can consume these personal pizzas and not feel bloated afterwards. It hits the spot just right, which is perfect for lunch. They do have some other menu items that I have not tried yet. A buddy of mine did dig into a salad, which was quite massive, and some artichoke dip which looked really good. Now that I think about it, I eventually did try some of the dip after I did my best puppy dog impression. It was worth it!

I would eat a Vesuvio from Punch every day of my life if I had an extra 10 bucks to spend each day. Delectable, very authentic (as my Italian professors and friends that have visited Italy have informed me), choice ingredients, fast service, and nothing short of perfection. However, I am aware that some people are used to American "pizza" that is basically a bread bowl filled with processed cheese, meats, sauce and grease. Such people will probably not like Punch as much as I do. One cannot go into punch expecting an American pizza, but if one expects a light, fresh meal they most likely enjoy the pizza immensely. Check it out! I recommend the Vesuvio, but a simple Margherita or Napoli will be just as delicious (and much cheaper--$5.95).

Being a lover of wood/stone oven pizza, I was excited to try this place. Unfortunately I went away disappointed. Our first pizza came out lukewarm and so soggy you couldn't pick it up. Being a cook, I was worried that the meat hadn't been brought to proper temperature, so we politely asked for a redo. I don't know if it was poor cooking or retaliation, but the second pizza came out completely burned around the edges and -still- soggy in about 2" of the middle. Our other items, a salad and a bread plate, were good but not exceptional. The ingredient quality was fine but was not pleased otherwise...won't be back.

In my review of another Punch location, I emphasized the decent taste and insufficient portion size. This day, I ate at Punch having just destroyed an undersized sandwich at a nearby eatery. This gave me an opportunity to fairly evaluate the food. For $6, you can get a basic pizza with cheese and either basil or oregano. The basil was 4 pathetic leaves. I think I can generalize and say that their use of toppings is rather stingy. The pizza tasted OK. Each of the six slices provides about two bites in the cheese area and three or four bites of crust. The dough is pretty good, kinda "rustic" with patches of saltiness throughout. Still, I don't get why people go crazy for this pizza. It's small. If you have $6.41 and an appetite, hate to say it but you might as well go to Chipotle. If this place offered a slightly larger pizza for $9, I might shell out but as it stands it's either "$6 and starve" or "$12 and pig out"

Newest addition to the Punch family, and I really like what they did with the space. They have a cute little bar where you can sit and watch the pizzas being made. Went on Saturday, they had free pizzas, as well as beer and wine ;) in lieu of their grand opening. Their pizza never fails to be the best ever. Have to get it Doppio, (extra olive oil, tomatoes and extra extra Bufala Mozz.)Toppings are really irrelevant past that point as they are all amazing. I usually go with eggplant, onion, spicy salami, pepperoncini, or artichoke. Sometimes a mix of sed toppings. Then sprinkle with parmesan and the heavenly balsamic that they have. Of course their salads are also divine, gotta love em all.

I am really glad we were nearby and ran across this place. While walking by it smelled sooooo good we decided to try it. I love pizza and am happy to say this is one of the best ones I have had. Its great to find a place that is close to the original from Italy. Both the pizzas and salads were amazing! The people working were awesome too, helpful and courteous...we told them to move to California so we can have it more often! :)

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
