Oh yeah! I like this place. Amazing meat restaurant. I went 3 times during my 5 day stay in Minneapolis. The pastrami burger had to be my favorite. The deserts were delicious, the service superb. I think that I ordered about a third of the menu while I was there. When I go back to MN, this will be one of my first stops. I felt like I was part of the family. If, like me, you are from out of town and want to feel at home, this is the place to go! If you are a local, you already know its great hometown feel and flavor.

Mediocre. The good. The decor is simple and clean cut which is something I actually like. The service was great. The server was attentive and our waters got refilled promptly. The bad. The food itself was meh. I had the chicken wrapped in pastrami. It's was salty, very salty. No other way to describe it. It came with a side of mashed potatoes which was okay. My dinner mate had the pasta special with chicken which was a little better but still I was not impressed. The presentation was nice and I think they are trying. Maybe I should have ordered the burger. That seems to be the most popular dish around.

I took a yoga class around the corner from here and trusted Yelp to find me a great place for lunch. Being Jewish and new in town, I knew I had to try it. I had matzo ball soup- it's like mother's milk to me (and I'm not proud to say, my only cheat in an otherwise vegetarian diet). It was good soup but it does come with quite a pile of dark meat. I would have asked for more broth, less meat, had I known. Good flavor though. Then I had these genius falafel sliders! You actually get a bite of falafel with every bite of bun instead of chasing them around a pita. Why don't more places do falafel burgers??? Moist inside, crispy outside. Well-executed. I took rugelach to go because I already boxed up a slider and I was so full. The server told me my car was going to smell amazing because they heat them up and always smell great coming out of the kitchen. She was pretty sure that at least one of the 3 rugelach would not make it all the way home. That was all the encouragement I needed. Being a pretty indulgent person with very little willpower, I opened the box in the car. At this point in my life, I consider myself pretty familiar with the rugelach spectrum. They are the most popular Jewish cookie so of course I've been eating them (sometimes baking them) my whole life. Well, imagine my surprise when I bit into a decadently warm, chocolate rugelach that crunches just enough on the outside, slowly revealing a melt-in-your-mouth gooey center. I was so enthralled by the flavors and how perfectly they were cooked that I ate all 3 before driving away. I even forgot to take a picture. Go see for yourself! Wow. I'm inspired by this expert baking. There were many other things on the menu I would like to try so I will go back. Everyone was also very helpful and friendly.

Great food and great customer service in a nice setting. I ordered the "mad Russian" with fries. It may have been the best Reuben I've ever had. The fries were very good too. I really enjoyed my meal and interacting with the staff.

A couple day ago I was talking to a guy that was eating a shawarma sandwich and is smelled divine, me being me I asked where he got it and he told me about this place. Told me to order a mad Russian. I love pastrami and that's why I came here. This place makes their own pastrami. This is a long and time consuming task to do right and this place nails it. What a beautiful meal. Do yourself a favor and come here. What an exceptional lunch. Great food and excellent service. I will most definitely be back here. I wish I could give it more than a five star review.

Having only experienced the Jewish delis of Baltimore and NYC, my standards were fairly high walking into Prime. When people first think of kosher restaurants, they shed a tear for the loss of bacon as well as the separation between dairy and meat, and for the most part, they expect tastelessness. Well, I'm here to tell you just how wrong they are. As a non-kosher Jew, I don't, for the most part, seek out restrictive dining (Mama loves her all-pork-everything with a block of cheese on the side). However, with Prime's burger deluxe, I felt anything but deprived. They substitute fried pastrami for the usual bacon, and throw a fried egg on it to make you forget cheese was ever a burger staple. I'm a big fan of obscure condiments, and this burger didn't fail on this front in the slightest: onion marmalade and a horseradish spread so good, you'll be feigning for more the entire drive home. As for the rest of the menu, I dare you to have a pastrami sandwich at any non-Jewish deli and tell me it's superior to what Prime can offer. It may not convert you, religiously, but it'll exemplify the holiness which kosher food can provide.

Loved the food here. Came in from Rhode Island and looked up kosher restaurants. This is the fleshing one...I had the grilled salmon and it was delicious! Would highly recommend eating here.

Excellent. Stopped by Prime Deli because Yum was too busy. Very thankful for that now. Tried the special - Jamaican jerk glazed salmon over a bed of hash with sautéed vegetables. Excellent. My SO had the pan seared walleye. Excellent. Both were cooked perfectly. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I will be going back to try their sandwiches - which looked epic.

The prime burger is serious eats. It's served without ketchup or mustard, which you can add, but I never do. The onion relish, dripping egg yolk, and pastrami more than make up for missing cheap condiments. Far and away, the best burger I've ever eaten -kosher or non. I've also had the pulled beef which is a sweet, rich, too-huge-to-fit-in-the-mouth masterpiece covered in cole slaw and demanding you eat every last bite although you are stuffed to bursting. Both sandwiches are well worth the high cost ($16) even if you don't keep kosher. This place is a little gem.

Very good food on our first visit. We shared a cup of Matzo Ball soup and the Prime Schnitzel with a side of fries. It was a bit unexpected to find an actual sit down restaurant when we were expecting a deli but the service was very attentive and fast.

Food was tasty. Service was pleasant. Prices are fair. The steak was done perfectly. For an out of town restaurant Prime is a keeper. Strongly recommended. I ubered from my downtown hotel.

A new place (as of Dec. 2014 CE) offering kosher food in a casual environment. I had the Mad Russian sandwish (a Reuben variant with pastrami and turkey) with a cup of the matzoh ball soup. Both were about as good as you can get this side of New York City. I'll be back to explore the menu.

Awful ambience, good food. With all hard surfaces and no baffling, screaming babies, crashing dishes, and scraping chairs were unbearable. Service was slow and server was rushed to the point of absurdity. Pulled meat sandwich was great, Israel salad was tasty. Might consider take out but will never subject ourselves to dine in again.

We loved our meal at Prime Deli. Everything was delicious, and even though they were in the middle of a very busy dinner rush the service was top notch. We tried the knish, matzo ball soup, pasta with chicken schnitzel and the Prime burger. Loved everything we had. Will definitely be visiting again.

Good but not great. Israeli salad and pastrami are high points but turkey not so great and any Bubbe would disavow any claim to the horrible mashed potatoes. Attentive service.

I love Prime Deli (although I would prefer to keep it a secret..lol)!!! I have been there a number of times and have not had anything that I wouldn't rave over. Where to begin....good service....great sandwiches (love the Mad Russian with pastrami and turkey)...great burgers....best humus in the TC....the best falafel this side of Israel (I'm not kidding).....perfect potato salad.....tasty roasted beets. Oh, and I almost forgot that the fries are also perfectly done. That said, I'm working on the rest of the menu. And Kosher too???? Wow!

First time diner to Prime. Food was excellent!!! You can tell the chef is passionate and talented. Very high quality. I was very happy to discover they serve sake. I highly recommend the knishes, matzo ball soup and chicken schnitzel pasta. So good, ordered some to go too! Can't wait to return and try the spring rolls and nosh platter. Our server Nicole was exceptional!! She was very, very busy but so attentive and friendly you didn't even notice. Whole experience was Amazing!!

So we decided to try Primedeli based on the Yelp reviews. Service was a bit slow, but what's the rush. We ordered knishs and beet salad for appetizers, both very good. I ordered the shentzel sandwich. Somehow our waitress didn't get my order in, a shanda, but not the end of the world. She was very apologetic and the owner was accommodating. The food was good and the next time we visit from Chicago we will go back.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at the good food and pleasant service at Prime. I had the Prime burger which was exceptional with the onion marmalade and fried Pastrami slice. The fries were excellent, crisp and hot. The nosh platter was awesome. The matzoh ball soup was just what the doctor ordered. I would pass on the Israeli merlot though. We will definitely go back!
