Hands down the best burger in town! Get the BOM (Burger of the Month) with cajun fries ($.50 extra, but totally worth it). Follow their social media for specials and bonuses. You can also get Surly for $1 on Sundays.

First time I've tried My Burger. It was awesome I can't wait to try some other burgers. The Cajun fries were worth the extra 50 cents. It was really clean and the music wasn't blasting to loud. Will be back again for sure.

The decor and layout is very well done! In a time where we flip through menu's that have 5+ pages, I can fully appreciate a simple but great menu. The "Burger of the Month" concept is a creative idea to keep things fresh and always changing. The quality of their burgers is very tasty. The extras like FF and onion rings are near perfect when served and hold their presentation and flavor throughout the meal. Finally, the shakes and malts won't let you down!! I was pleasantly surprised that the staff brings out your food, as well as cleans up after you when you're finished. Well done!!!

4 for the fries, 2 for the burgers. Gives them 3 stars from me..

I went there with a hangover because a burger and fries always makes me feel better. Not this time. The fries were slightly above average, but the burger was bland. I only had two or three little bites and threw the rest away. Probably won't go back.

I was hungry, not sure for what but I knew I did not want fast food. I wanted a satisfying meal in a casual environment. I saw "My Burger" on Excelsior. Since I enjoy a good burger I decided to give it a try. I was impressed right away by the inviting atmosphere and took my time looking at the menu on the wall and decided on a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, mayo, ketchup, mustard, cheddar cheese and fried onions. This was my first visit to My Burger and the employee behind the counter took the time to answer my questions. I chose fries as my side along with a small strawberry shake. I also added a fried egg to my burger at the recommendation of the employee, which is also a first for me. I was given a card with a number. Insead of a table, I sat on a stool at the counter which was facing the grill area behind a large window so I was able to see the prep and cooking process, which is a nice reassurance. The food was made fresh to order. My wait time was under 5 minutes and brought to me in an oblong-square metal pan. Overall food satisfaction: The 1/4 lb bugers are juicy and taste fresh, bun is soft and toasted. They are not skimpy with the toppings. The shake was pretty good, comparable to a malt shop/burger restaurant. The fries were fresh but like the shake, average. The burger is what stood out as above my expectatios. The fried egg topping was surprisingly a tasty addition also. I recommend My Burger for anyone who wants a larger, made to order, fresh, juicy, tasty burger with a wide variety of optional toppings. The prices are a few bucks more than fast food, I paid about $10 for my entire meal. But, you get what you pay for. Now I know where to go when I'm in the mood for a great burger.

If you thought Jucy Lucy was overrated, this place is for you. Clean and pleasant atmosphere with prompt service, no need to wait for 40 minutes to get your food... Got the original with cheese + fries and paid less than $8, which makes it a great deal. Burger tasted very fresh and not greasy, and the french fries were perfectly fried. Surly on tap is also a plus. Good place compared to other burger place near uptown (burger Jones, random pub, etc.)

I'm sure the My Burger fans won't agree with this review but I was really disappointed. I have driven by My Burger a zillion times and I love burgers so one day recently I decided to treat myself to a My Burger. The place is super clean and the colors and decorating style, very appealing. The atmosphere is really cool and it's a desirable place to hang out with a friend, your computer, a magazine or your phone. I got a California burger and fries. I bit into the burger and thought.."oh... nothing to write home about and I thought the same about the fries. I was not impressed. The food reminded me a lot of Wendy's. I have nothing against Wendy's, I just was expecting MORE of a surge of hamburger delight! Now I love Five Guys and I REALLY love Matt's Juicy Lucy, so maybe I was setting my sights too high but honestly, I didn't think I would go back. Friends of mine seem to like it, maybe it's a palate thing but I wasn't in over-the-moon-eyes-rolled-back-into-my-head-hamburger-heaven. That's kind of my criteria...I like to bite into a burger and say, "OMG! This is SOOOO good!" For instance, at Barker's in Hudson, Wi., every time I go there with a girlfriend, we bite into our burgers and both go "MMMMMMMMMM" and our mutual eye contact at that moment shows taste-bud bliss is happening! I like a burger that requires a napkin swipe or two after each bite.

Bomb diggity!! Got the classic bacon cheese burger with fries and since it was Surely Sunday I got a beer all for less than $10. Food was great and the staff was friendly!

If you want a review from a person that has been here once, skip this review. There is a reason I've been here just shy of 30 times in the last 2 years. I'll tell you why: -The food is great. Fries are delicious, the onion rings are handed down from God himself, the cole slaw is just right, and the burgers...well, the burgers are fantastic. -The BOM (Burger of the Month) is why I come here. The creativity is what keeps me coming back. Sometimes the the BOM misses the mark, but you're not going to love everything everytime. You can also get the punch card, eat there once a month, turn it in after 12 months, and get your free BOM and tshirt. A little kitchy, but a fun perk to reward your gluttony. -Service has been great each time. -Surly Sundays: $1 Surly taps with a burger. Even if you didn't enjoy your meal, which is pretty difficult, you just got a $1 Furious. If you find something wrong with that, stay in your basement and pet your 8 cats.

I initially gave this place 5-stars. The last few visits have been atrocious. Criticisms: * You could need more training on the shake machine--the last malt I had was barely stirred with a spoon. CHUNKS of malt. GROSS. * Consistency of burgers? Meh. Did you lose all your good cooks? Everything is either under or overcooked now. My patty today was great, but the bun was stale--ugh. * I don't want your promotional materials shoved in with my order number, I just recycle them anyway. Praise: * The place is usually clean. * The staff is friendly, even if unskilled or inept.

I visited My Burger in uptown today (Sunday afternoon) We ordered 2 veggie burgers, one original and one burger of the month. All the burgers were juicy, tasty and way better than BK and McD. The service was prompt and courteous.

This place hits the spot. Very tasty place if you want to grab a fast bite to eat. Pretty simple burger, but definitely good. I really like the cajun fries. Place to sit outside as well if it is nice out.

Wow, this is really a great place to eat! Not only is the food cooked fresh, the portion size is great, and the staff is super friendly! My husband and I had the burger of the month, I believe was called a bourbon burger, and got it with fries. I would definitely say if your craving a great burger, (with great fries) in a relaxed atmosphere, this is a place to go! We will definitely hit this place up next time we go through minneapolis.

OK everyone, you're thinking, "it's just ANOTHER place to get a burger"; it's not just another place to get a burger. I've had plenty of burgers in my time (that made me sound OLD) and this place has something going for it. You'd expect to get a greasy pile of meat, cheese and bun, but this place has their own style. The style starts with the interior decor to the shirts that the team wears. "Does this bun make my patty look fat?", excellent way to get people laughing. The decor is not boring at all. You can stand in front of a large glass window and watch the team make burgers (don't drool on the glass though...) or look at the pictures and cool widgets they have hanging around the dining area. Even the wood beams on the ceiling have local street names carved into them. I got the Cajun Bacon Cheese (with everything), a California Burger (no bun) and a small chocolate shake. Now, I was expecting a greasy mess over a sheet of paper in a basket; instead, I got a very appealing, neatly built burger over a sheet of paper in a metal tray. The Cajun Bacon was a great choice, you can actually taste the meat and the seasoning that goes with it. It wasn't a greasy mess, in fact, it didn't drip a greasy mess when I ate it. It came with two slices of bacon, nicely melted cheese and lettuce/tomato. Great flavor and wonderful presentation. The California Burger (without the bun) came in the same great presentation. Again, not a greasy mess and had the same great flavor as the Cajun Bacon. Now the fries, the fries were amazing. Lightly salted, crispy when you bite into it and soft/flaky on the inside. No ketchup needed! The malt we got was nothing super special; just your typical malt; however, I'm not sure how you can mess up a malt (that might take real talent). Finally, the service was wonderful. We got there around 2PM on a warm, sunny Saturday afternoon around Lake Calhoun. The place was a little over half full and we still had someone stop by after we got our food to ask how everything was. Also, after you place your order, you get a number and someone brings you your order. Not exactly waiter service, but when you only pay $6 for a burger and they bring it out, you really can't complain. Great place to grab a great burger (not the greasy mess like Five Guys), excellent service at very affordable prices.

Excellent french fries and onion rings. Crisp, hot, and fresh out of the fryer. A regular American Cheese Burger was easily forgettable, flavorless. Would not eat one again. Atmosphere seems to call (no scream) out for loudness, which is what you'll encounter since there's nothing on the floor, walls or ceiling to absorb noise. And you'll get plenty of that, each and every time someone pulls out their chair or pulls it back under themselves at a table.

You probably wouldn't be able to tell from my previous reviews but I try to eat a relatively healthy diet. However, there are times when everyone needs to feast on greasy goodness and burgers are definitely my guilty pleasure. I'd heard mixed reviews about My Burger from friends that live in the area and work downtown (the other location) but decided to check it out for myself. As other Yelpers have said, this place has a cool mod vibe and design. The grill area is visible from the front of the restaurant and you also watch your burger being grilled up from the dining room through the glass divider. The burger choices are pretty standard and all come with fries but you have the option to substitute other items for a minimal up charge. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger which I thought was really good. The meat was perfectly seasoned and everything on the burger tasted fantastic. My fries were also fresh, crispy and lightly salted. The service was also friendly during my visit which is always an added plus at fast service restaurants. I noticed that they also had Summit and Grain Belt on tap as well as a few other adult beverage options. Maybe on my next trip I'll up the ante and throw in a few brews while I'm on the fried food train.

So pleasantly surprised with My Burger. I had the bacon and bleu burger and it was delicious! Having this place around gives me no reason to venture into Five Guys because it's more delicious, less greasy and a local business. I love! The decor is adorable. Colorful, and there are signs with local street names hanging from the ceiling. Awesome touch. Whoever did the branding and design for this place is very talented. Service is great, too. Only complaint - I ordered fruit instead of fries - a 75 cent upgrade - and the fruit dish was a little lame. But I guess that's what I get for ordering fruit. :)

Great burger! Better than Smashburger or Five Guys. Really neat place with a nice little outdoor patio. Fries and onion rings were both good! Plenty of options for burgers including turkey and chicken. A lot of toppings to choose from. Great place for a relatively inexpensive burger that is packed with flavor! Highly recommend this joint!

My Burger is a decent burger stop in the Twin cities. I stopped by on Super bowl Sunday to pick up lunch and grab a few burgers for the game later in the day. They offer the basic, the California, a few specialty burgers, and the monthly burger. The standard toppings also come free. I got two California burgers with grilled onions. The meat is seasoned well! That is usually my biggest gripe and they took care of that. The French fries were crunchy and fresh and well seasoned. Best of all - it was Surly Sunday. I got a Pint of Surly Furious with my burger for $1.00. Décor is modern and fresh and the service was great! Not exactly date night but great for anyone that wants a decently priced burger that is not McDonalds and not 5 Star sit down.

It's okay. Everything is just plain. The fries and onion rings are not great. The milkshake was pretty good. The burger didn't taste anything special

Best veggie burgers around. I like my veggie burgers to behave as much like a regular burger as possible, and so many local places make their veggie burgers into sloppy piles of curry-flavored bean paste (cough-Burger Jones-cough). My Burger's veggie burgers are a perfect combo of ingredients that lead to the right consistency (firm enough to not fall apart, squishy enough to feel like a burger patty), and the right flavor (basically just a vehicle for the taste of something having been grilled). EXCELLENT chocolate milk shakes (real ice cream). Service is fantastic. Good prices. Took off a star because I don't like their fries much. Don't get me wrong, I still eat them. They're just not my favorite type of fry, not very flavorful. Good onion rings though.

My Burger is solid in my book. No, it is not a gourmet burger joint. No, it doesn't hold a candle to Burger Jones right across the street. But...it just wasn't designed to. Here's the deal: If you are looking for a decent burger at a cheap price, in a timely manner, My Burger delivers the goods. You get fries with your burger, and can sub them out for onion rings or fruit for a small fee. Your to-go order comes in a cute little fold-able box. The counter staff are really friendly, really helpful, and really patient. The space is cute, airy, roomy, and clean. They offer typical burgers, turkey burgers (my usual choice) with all sorts of options and add-ons, and BOM, or Burger of the Month. The BOM is usually something delicious and creative. My personal favorite from the past is the Thanksgiving burger. It was a turkey patty with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and a side of gravy. The fries are primo, always fresh and hot, and hardly ever over-salted. Their shakes/malts are also very good, and come in a nice small size because let's face it, we don't always want a gigantic shake that we can't finish. So basically, if I want a delicious, huge, gourmet burger, you can find me at The Liffey...If I want a quick to-go dinner or a casual, solid burger and fries, come join me at My Burger!

Stopped in for dinner last night...as this place came up on my search for Small Business Saturday! I ordered the Cajon Bacon Cheese... A bacon burger with pepperjack cheese.... Mmmmm It was fantastic! It came with a side of fries, not a ton of fries, about half as much as you'd get at a restaurant, but I felt it was plenty! Loved that they had three beers on tap and some in cans! I ordered a Surly Hell. They also had milk shake offerings... I was too cold to partake though. I was very satisfied with the burger! And the prices. The beer was $4, I think an average establishment price. The burger was $7.25, again fair. The only bummer I had was when after I ate my birger I left the table to use the bathroom...leaving my 3/4 full beer on the table... When I came out, my table had been cleared. Kind of bummed...I knew I wouldn't finish it but may have had a little bit more. If that's the worst of my experience....I can deal with that. I'll be back, My Burger!

I love My Burger! I'm on a gluten free diet and they use shredded lettuce. It's nice because I'll order with no bun and it's almost like a salad. I love their fries as well. Everything is just so flavorful! This location also has an amazing staff. Everyone is so nice! I have absolutely no complaints. One of my favorite places for a gluten free burger.

Hey! This place was great! I had the Burger of the Month, which was...well I don't remember the cutesy name for it. It was really hot and spicy. The fries were fantastic. Very crisp out and fluffy in. My companion got a mushroom Swiss burger, which was also really good. The patties are very flavorful, well-seasoned. Ambience was good: Loudish music, big windows, would have liked more tables inside and out (maybe get rid of the unused high-tops by the front of the store and put in regular height tables there). The only thing I guess I'd recommend for the food is to take a page out of Burger Jones's playbook and offer some unique and creative toppings. Peanut butter would have taken my burger over the top tonight.

  • Mercedes M.

Their veggie burgers are so, so good. Most restaurants veggie burgers fall apart and are just plain ol sloppy. But not here, my burger was flavorful and easy to handle. The fries are fresh, hot and very good. Check them out for yourself you won't be disappointed I swear.

Quick, cheap, and really good burger. Fries is ok, onion ring is so so

I like this location even better than downtown because they have tap beer. Bright, plenty of parking, speedy, priced between McDonalds and Burger Jones, this is a great choice for a burger and fries with toppings galore (for a price). Sub the cole slaw for the fries for a healthy crispy option.

Great food, service, atmosphere, location and design! The staff is fun and really engages with their customers- even allowing them to suggest ideas for their burger of the month. You can't go wrong with a classic California burger, fries and a chocolate shake. Can't wait until they get their liquor license!

I walked in and was immediately sucked into its atmosphere. The street signs moving me towards the front counter. Staff greeting me like I was an old friend. The menu was overwhelming but I figured its a burger place, it can't be too complicated so I moved toward the counter to order. The staff there did a great job of welcoming and guiding me through everything. I got the mushroom swiss with fried onions! It came out quick and it came out delicious. If my experience so far wasn't great. The FOOD would have made up for it. Nothing but just wonderful thoughts fill my thoughts as I enjoy this delicious burger and the fries THE FRIES!!

  • Ben D.

I think I actually like this location more than I like the one in the Skyway! It's not the people, they are friendly and fun as usual... and it's not the food because it is the exact same at both locations... I think what I like the most about this one is sitting outside on it's patio! The people watching while you enjoy a delicious and juicy burger with your own creation of fixings... The fries that are crisp and delicious. Mmmmmm, I need to stop myself because I am going to bust my own diet and go there for dinner if I'm not careful! It certainly is nice to finally have a decent burger place in St. Louis Park!~ Especially since Burger Jones sucks.

It's one of those order at a counter from a menu with a few choices about your burger, bun, condiments, cheese, and side order. Your burger comes with fries but you can upgrade to onion rings, etc. You then pay and get a number to stick on your table and you fill your beverage and wait for your food. I opted for the mushroom swiss burger with fries. It took a bit for the food to arrive but it was near noon, so not too bad. One suggestion, when you fill your drink, grab napkins, as none are given to you when your food is delivered. On to the food - the burger is good, nice char/crust, seasoned well. The bun is average white bread bun, slightly toasted. The grilled onions that I had ordered were nice, just the way I like them. The mushrooms were unique - I honestly had a hard time telling if they were fresh button mushrooms that were sliced and sauteed or if they were canned mushrooms that were thrown on the flat top, there was a kind of sponginess to them that made me suspect the latter. The cheese was more like processed "swiss" than real swiss, little of the distinctive flavor that a good swiss cheese has. The fries were good, nice crispy exterior and fluffy interior and properly seasoned. The molden arches could learn much from the fry cook at MB. For this visit (the end of June) they had Summit and Surly on tap - which I did not sample. All in all, an ok experience, but not one I would go out of my way for.

I am going to get to the long short of this. I purchased a really great Groupon for MyBurger (4 beers, 4 burgers with fries FOR 20.00, are you kidding me!) I had low expectations based on the ridiculously good deal of the Groupon, but this place is AWESOME. The look is cool, the food is good, the service amazing, and the price (with or without Groupon) is great. My plan is to make this part of my daily routine since I work out in St. Louis Park. The only problem will be the extra purchasing of bigger pants that comes from eating too much My Burger.

We give it a five on Sunday when they are having $1 Surly night! Fries and onion rings are excellent and the burgers are good and the fiixings really good... nice people, good value, what else can we say? You should try it if you like burgers and fries.

Yummy! Great well seasoned veggie burger and crisp delicious fries. What could be better-- except child's hands reaching over to my tray to steal my stuff. That needs work. "Back off.. daddy's fries are MINE."

This place was such a pleasant surprise that it catapulted my rating into the coveted 5-star stratosphere! My Burger is the best example of the "fast casual" style eatery. The field is full of Five Guys and SmashBurgers that have become a dime a dozen. My Burger edges out both in style and experience. I absolutely agree with Annie's praise and exaltation. Simply put, My Burger is fun! The quality of the food and the friendly staff make it well worth the trip. My wife and I each got a burger, fries and an adult beverage for less than twenty bucks! The meal satisfied as well as any at a true sit-down establishment. We'll be back.

My Burger surprised me, quite pleasantly. First, my friends, I must acknowledge something. It's so, so, SO cool in here. On the walls, you'll see whimsical, colorful murals and retro shake makers. Above, there are big beams with names of local streets on them. It's bright, it's relatively spacious and it's not really what I was expecting at all. They have shirts that say "Does this bun make my patty look fat?" Whoever is responsible for their image/branding/social media, cue applause. Second, the service. It's done counter-to-table style where you order up front, they give you a number and then bring your food to you. The service was great and it was all in the little things. The guy at the counter was very friendly, the woman who brought out my food grabbed napkins for me when they brought my food even though it's self-service and the guy at the counter came out from behind the counter to ask me how my food was after I had taken a few bites. Granted, they were pretty slow since I came late afternoon, but it was like real sit-down service aside from ordering at a counter, so go ahead and tip them a buck or two. It's the nice thing to do. Third, the food. Obviously, it's a burger place so I went with a burger. They have other options too though, like a chicken burger, fish burger, turkey burger and a burger of the month. I ordered a pepperjack cheeseburger with no ketchup (because ew, ketchup). It comes with caramelized onions, sweet pickles and mustard/ketchup as a rule (different toppings with the California-style), so make sure to let them know if any of it doesn't jive with you. The single burgers aren't huge, but they come with a generous side of fries and I think my total was about $6-7. It was all tasty, but I'm not sure that my own burger alone would compel me to come back ASAP. The rest of the menu does though. I think I know what I'll order next time though: blue cheese and bacon burger with just caramelized onion. That's the way to do it. And seriously, I was lamenting the fact that I had no room for a malt in my belly. I also think I'll eat the malt first before the burger next time...

Very clean location and nice outdoor seating area. The burgers are always excellent. However, I do find that the fries are consistently over salted/seasoned esp the Cajun fries.

My friend lives a few blocks away and we saw this place driving past. I've never seen or heard of it before, but I looked up the menu and it seemed yummy, and I was right! The atmosphere is different than your every day fast food restaurant, they have a window where you can watch them make the food and it's very entertaining while you wait for the food! The burger and fries were simply delicious and the price was great! I love the fact that they serve beer! Great place, definitely worth a try!

I love burgers. I'm always on the lookout for a good burger. I've driven past My Burger on the way to and from work dozens of times, and always wanted to stop and check it out. So last night my wife and kids and I stopped in for a bite. Prices are higher than what I'm used to paying, but I normally eat garbage burgers, so that doesn't mean much. You can expect to pay around $7 for a bacon-cheese or mushroom and Swiss, and it comes with fries. They ask you what you want as far as lettuce, tomato, etc. So we ordered up some kids burgers (each one unique to the orderer's picky tastes), a bacon cheeseburger, and a mushroom and swiss. We sat at the counter in tall orange chairs, and were able to watch the kitchen crew putting our meals together. We also admired the trendy/utilitarian decor (jars upon jars of generic ketchup and mustard lined the walls in some areas). The food arrived about five minutes later, and everyone happily dug in. The food was excellent, definitely on par with Johnny Rocket's in MoA and Five Guys. The fries were hot and just crispy enough to not be limp in your fingers (something I don't like about Culvers' fries). I would definitely eat there again. Great food, the staff was really friendly, and the price seems pretty average for what you're getting.

Went here today with expectations of a good burger, especially considering all of the good reviews here on yelp. Unfortunately I was not impressed one bit. The service and atmosphere were fine, nothing super special. The burger is what really got me, the meat was bland, and very spongy-like. It reminded me of a Wendy's burger, or a cafeteria burger, or one of those burgers you get in a box from the frozen section at the grocery store. I am a hard-core burger fan, and I know a good burger when I taste one, but I had trouble even finishing my burger here it was so distasteful. I felt sick to my stomach for a bit afterwards just the fact that I ate such a low-quality burger. I would've rather had mcdonalds for much cheaper. My fries were ok, but I could taste a slight fish-flavor in them, which verifies that they do not use separate fryers for different product-yuck! I will stick to my smashburgers next time, as I find Smashburger and burger jones to be much tastier than my burger.

I like the art deco-ish decor, right down to Andy Warhol style giant mustard jars of art. I've been twice. It's nice to have a choice of being out in the open, at a counter, or hide in a corner. The burgers and fries are pretty good, cole slaw is lousy. This fits in well with the new generation of fast food burgers. After the founders die the old big 3 chains went in the shit and left it wide open for new concepts. It's got its own parking lot so it's convenient. There's a manager who likes to show off his Spanish speaking skills to the guy doing the cooking, who seems to be laughing at him. So you can get some entertainment as well. The narrow yogurt shoppe next door would serve as a good drive thru, oh well.

I bought a Groupon coupon for this. I bike Calhoun area a lot during summer so I bought it and it was cheap for the amount they had to offer. With the price, I was expecting very little sized burger. I like to try out burger from place to place. This was definitely shocking for me. It's delicious, of standard size, juicy and perfect. It's yet again great Groupon discovery for me and I'm definitely going back :)

Yum yum yum! I love burgers. I'm pretty sure I start all my burger posts with professions of my love of burgers...But I digress. I'd never seen My Burger before despite frequent trips to Uptown in high school, so I was super excited by the name itself. (Because obviously burgers would ensue) My vegetarian friend and I popped in just before the place closed for some fries and burgers. I just got the standard My Burger, which comes with a healthy portion of fries. The guys who worked there were super friendly and awesome. One offered some Cajun seasoning for our fries. Not bad, though I think I just prefer ketchup. :) (I also love putting on ketchup on everything) The burger was juicy and delicious, and the fries were pretty awesome as well. My vegetarian friend claimed that he would make the drive here to get at more of those delicious fries. He's pretty thrifty and anti-meat, so his adoration for the fries is pretty significant. Just sayin. One of the employees said that this place is relatively new and that there's one (or two?) other locations around the twin cities. :) I think it's family owned, too!

In Minnesota we are spoiled with all the great burger places, and My Burger is another welcome additon. Nice thin flat top cooked burgers, the california with grilled onions is a good choice, served with above average fries. It is quick, clean, good for kids and at price about the same as your run of the mill fast food places.

oh nom nom. I came here with a co-worker, expecting it to be busy. For sure it was but they make incredible burgers at blazing speed. I got the burger of the day, which had pork belly and onion. It was really good, although when I think of pork belly, I think thick braised belly. This tasted like bacon..which I guess is pork belly. They've also got crispy fries (although no ranch. fail!). I would came here if I wanted a quick burger down town. It's in gavidae if you're nut sure where it is.

Really fun little shop right on the shores of Lake Calhoun. Very simple menu which is actually really refreshing. I had the Bleu Cheese & Bacon Burger and was super tasty. Friendly staff, beers if you want 'em...all in all worth the stop.

Vegetarians, rejoice! Meat lovers, you'll probably like this place too but won't appreciate it quite as much. I'm not a burger person and wasn't too keen to try out My Burger. It's possibly because I'm a vegetarian and veggie burgers on menus are always the Morningstar Farm Chipotle Bean Burger. Ugh. Morningstar Farm must have gotten in with Sysco. But, My Burger's veggie burger was actually good, really good (and not Morningstar Farm)! Last time I was in a fast food place and was able to 'fit in' with my meat-eating brethren was a looong time ago. I'm so excited to be able to have the experience of a quick burger, albeit veggie, at a fast food place again! I didn't realize how affordable My Burger was either. $5.75 for veggie burger and fries. It's a great location, clean atmosphere, great tasting, and is the opposite of what you usually associate with a fast food restaurant.

I don't get to fast food places anymore, but I always loved their burgers. For some reason, probably eating way more McDonalds cheeseburgers as a kid than fancy gourmet burgers caused this preference. The best way to describe this burger is a really good fast food style of burger. Think a bit fancier version of Five Guys. They also server beer at this place. Which can be quite excellent on a hot day. Which is also good because you can eat outside if you wish. Oh yeah. The staff is super friendly.

Burgers aren't really my thing, but I can appreciate a good one. Luckily, My Burger delivers (not literally though, that would be even worse for my arteries!) I first came here for Yelp's Family Feud, and it's a nice place to stop after biking around the lakes when the weather is nice. There are plenty of tables, and the staff has always been friendly. The menu is simple and straightforward, with a variety of toppings to choose from. This location offers turkey burgers, which the downtown skyway location does not have. I like to order a turkey burger with swiss cheese, fried onions, lettuce, and teriyaki sauce. If you are feeling adventurous there is always an intriguing burger of the month as well. If you don't want fries you can substitute fruit, cole slaw or onion rings, though fruit and onion rings cost more. The fries are decent but as I'm not a fan of them in general, I usually skip them altogether, saving a dollar. My Burger, keep doing what you're doing. I'll be back again soon, after I exercise.

A selection of very tasty, non-greasy burgers all served on a toasted bun. Fries and onion rings that are quite respectable. Decent malts. Friendly, engaged service. Clean, attractive space. Lower prices than Smashburger or Five Guys. What's not to like? This has become my go to place when I must urgently satisfy my burger jones.

I finally tried this place on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Was lucky enough to nab one of the few tables outside, which was nice. The food came out quickly. I order just a plain burger and coleslaw. I was a bit nervous because I have cut all greasy/deep fried/etc food completely out of my diet. I was worried the burger would be greasy, but surprisingly, it wasn't! It was really good! The bun, which in my opinion is almost as important as the burger, was super yummy too!! The only thing I would of changed is I would of gotten the double- and will next time, as the burger was pretty thin. Over all, I was pretty impressed, and I will be back!

Great fries!! My whole family loves this place. Plus, they serve Surly so my husband is delighted. I get the turkey burger regularly and it is moist (without being scary). Like the friendly service and the fact it is next to YogurtLab!

Dear MyBurger, I'm not sure what you put in your burgers, but based on how addictive they are I'm guessing crack or something else in the methamphetamine-family. The bun is always just a little toasted and the idea of throwing on bacon or caramelized onion is just gratuitous - although maybe that's how you want to roll. The fries are tender and nicely browned; I usually leave the fries in the bottom of the basket but yours are so good that I make a point to come hungry and eat every last one of them. The feeling I'm left with falls somewhere between shame and unapologetically satiated. MyBurger, luckily for my waistline, it's too cold to go to you for lunch everyday since I work across the parking lot from you. Come spring, this could get to be a real liability. I love you and am so glad you're no longer a figment of my husband's imagination in the Skyway. :) xoxo, ES

If you are in uptown this is by far the best burger value! First of all they get 5 stars for variety. I do not eat red meat and really enjoyed their turkey burger (they also have fish, chicken, and veggie options). My husband got a cheeseburger and fries while I opted for onion rings. The fries were good but the onion rings were way to crispy for my liking. I'm not sure if they left them in the fryer too long or if they always come out that way. Either way it was only around $15 for the two of us - steal! I by far prefer their options to other uptown burger joints (couch, burger jones). I didn't try any of their dessert options because there is a froyo place nearly right next door. The only downside is the parking. Super annoying lot that's tough to get out of. Other than that, I will be back.

I am not much of a red meat person, but every now and then all I want is a delcious cheeseburger. After avoiding my craving on Tuesday, I decided Wednesday I would finally fill the void of delicious ground beef in my soul. Bunnys has been my typical go-to for an affordable and delicious burger, but after seeing My Burger the other day when avoiding the Lake St. traffic, I figured I'd give it a try. Lucky for me I was either just before or just after the dinner bum rush, and was in and out relatively quick. Simple and straightforward menu. I am also a fan of a place that has made the decision not to elaborate on their menu. You dont go to a place called My Burger for some caesar salad. Original.. America + fried onions + kecthup + NO MUSTARD + dill pickles = success. Anywhere that offers both dill and sweet pickles clearly knows how to pull at my NYC heartstrings. There were loads of kids who were obsessed with looking through the window into the kitchen watching the burgers being made. It's funny how something as simple as that will drive loads of families coming back for more, but got a smile out of me. Oh and they offer cans of Crispin. and boxed wine. SCORE I will be back, when the next burger craving comes along.

After driving by here a number of times I finally made a plan to check My Burger out. I took a friend here for dinner after a movie and will be frequenting this place whenever I'm craving a good burger. The staff is really friendly, a very good start. The menu is simple but has variety so you can create almost any kind of burger you're in the mood for with all the sides and topping they have to offer. They also have veggie burgers, fish and chicken. My excitement at the menu and all of it's options caused me to order a double burger which I probably wouldn't usually need unless I had just walked around the lake. The California burger was what I went with and added sweet pickles, sauteed onions, cheddar cheese and a side of jalepenos. It was juicy and delicious and the fries that came with it were perfectly cooked = hot and crispy, crunchy on the outside. They do have onion rings too which I'll try on my next visit. Two employees came up to our table to see if we were happy with everything and others checked to see if they could clear anything away. As we were finishing our food I couldn't stop thinking about how nice a shake would be to wrap up this experience. So I got a chocolate shake (lite on the chocolate) made to order and chatted with the man who took our order about how pleased we were with this new gem. My friend really liked that fact that the trays the burgers and fries come in are reusable metal lined with paper so it reduces the amount of waste. Then he told us that they were designed and made in Minnesota and hand welded just for the My Burger stores. Lot's of really nice touches like this throughout the place. There are so many potential combinations that I'm looking forward to building that this will be a favorite haunt for a long time to come. 5 stars might seem like pretty high praise but when you start with this quality and service and can build skyward from there, for me it's as good as a burger gets!

I came for dinner this week & the place was buzzing! Walking in, the space looks like it was designed by Bob & Cortney from 'Home By Novogratz' on HGTV; bright & vibrant with quirky touches. The menu includes basic burgers as well as specialty ones like a bacon bleu cheese burger. From what I recall, they ranged between $5-7. All burgers come with fries, but have the option to sub out for coleslaw (free), onion rings or fruit ($.75). I ordered a cheeseburger with everything on it (sweet pickles, fried onions, ketchup, mustard...). It was delicious! Everything was really fresh & the bun was perfect. The thick-cut fries were also really good & they didn't skimp out on them either; my basket was completely full! I overheard one of the employees say they're still waiting for their license to clear; once it does they'll be serving (local) beer & wine. Ample free parking, awesome interior & good, quality food that's reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back!

I WISH I could give this place five stars. The atmosphere was punchy and colorful and the service was some of the friendliest and most attentive I've EVER experienced. But the burgers are just average and the fries are just plain bad. The chocolate malt was tasty enough, but not a reason to go back.

Ya know what? I think I will be returning to this place quite frequently. That might be because I pass it twice a day, but also because the prices are legit and it's a decently tasty burger. Bacon Cheese Burger: I mean, it's your average burger. But the bacon was tasty, it comes fully loaded (mayo, lettuce, tomato) and comes with a basket of fries. For $7, I'd do it again...and again. The kid behind the counter wasn't like I've seen at some of these other burger places (too good to work there) he actually seemed to enjoy his job and excited for what is to come from the place. Though it is still relatively new, I already feel this place is better then Burger Jones (cost wise as well as service wise) and has more on the menu then Five Guys Burgers. Try it out. It's your typical burger joint, but worth it.

All I gotta say is "My Burger" is my only burger place from now on. Well... here are some more juice: Once upon a time, I got hungry and had burgers gravin, so mcdonals, burger king, and what not went through my mind but were all negative thoughts (greesy, precooked, sodium, etc...), kind of lost my apetise then, but My Burger brought it all back. It was the catchie name/sign and unusual design that cought my attention when I drove by. Once I walked in, the place was dead, 5 employees stood around, some spaced out, some stared out the winddows. The interior design was too much, i didn't know what to look at. So i thought to my self that this's just another creative but wacko business model. I ordered anyway, Food took longer than the usual fast food place, but I noticed that burger patties and fries were fresh/unfrozen. Price was reasonable, customer service was decent, and most importantly the food tasted just as good as any other burger places except that everything was fresh. My buddy tummy loves me much better when i go eat at My Burger. ps the second time i stoped in at My Burger was at dinner time, and boyyy, it was Packed.

While visiting Minnesota, my husband and I wanted some burgers. We didn't want to go to a fast food joint but then we didn't want to just go to an Applebee's or something either. So I busted out Yelp, and found My Burger. I am so glad I did. The burger was delicious. They have some add ons that cost you, but the basic burger is just perfect. I recommend it highly. The price was good. For just a couple of dollars more than McDonalds I had a great meal that didn't send me to the toilet within 20 minutes of consumption. My husband and I both had burgers that came with fries, and I got mine with onion rings. The onion rings were simply delicious. The staff were friendly, and gregarious. So nice! Of course I am not sure if i am saying this because it was Minnesota, and not California or what. I just know the staff was crazy friendly. I am giving 4 stars because the beverage bar was sticky, and got my hand sticky. Other than that, great experience.

As a burger lover I was excited to drive by and see this place open up on excelsior. I stopped in for lunch today to try it out. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with fries and a chocolate malt. The Burger itself was decent. The Bun was soft and lightly toasted. The patty looked to be hand formed rather than frozen, and the bacon was crisp but not over done. I made a mistake by not getting a different cheese. the American was rather meh. The malt was good, thick and chocolaty, and best of all they offer a small size, so you aren't stuck with one that's a meal in itself. The fries were where I had a problem. They were cooked perfectly. Golden and crispy outside, and soft and steaming hot inside, but they were over salted. I'm talking enough salt to give a grazing cow cardiac arrest. I like salt, but I was forced to scrap it off so they were edible. Some of them looked like a sugared donut. I think next time I'll pay for the fresh fruit upgrade.

Had the California for lunch - it's actually a really good burger, especially in comparison to other fast food joints that you may hit at lunch time. Great price with fries (a little over $5). The buns are nicely toasted and fluffy, and the meat seems to be formed by hand. Good sized as well - that's what helped it get pushed to 4 stars. You get plenty of options to customize your burger as well. Kind of a "Designer" burger feel to it. I've had burgers at the My Burger in DT Mpls, and this one seems to be a lot better than that. More spacious, and probably a little too new still (there wasn't much traffic for lunch - which is nice for me). A bigger burger selection compared to DT. It's just a little bit off the beaten path - a bit tucked away. It is definitely in my lunch rotation. If they keep up with the quality that they currently have, I think this place will be very successful.

As a person who generally doesn't eat cow or anything fried- you can guess I didn't go here on my own accord. I went in with an open mind and was overtaken with the crisp, clean atmosphere and menu. I went up and asked if I could get fruit instead of fries and without thinking ordered the chicken burger. The eloquently spoken burger kid behind the counter (wait those words can go together? WHAT?) immediately prompted me that the chicken was battered and deep fried and i should check out the turkey burger or veggie burger. UHH THANKS YO! It was cool you can see their pristine kitchen as they make your food and the owners are always present helping out in the kitchen. The turkey was really decent at a really good price. The friendly employees buss your table graciously - MAN they must pay them GOOD because they all seem to love their jobs. This place has everything going for it. Good prices, good food, good service. It takes a lot for a non-burger eater to dish out 5 stars for a burger place.

I liked it better than Smashburger, not quite as much as Five Guys. They had a great bun, decent burger, fresh toppings but the fries were just ok. What My Burger has over the other two places I mentioned is, malts and $1 Surly Sunday. We'll be back.

Our experience at My Burger was wonderful. Their staff is very friendly and the manager on duty took the time to come out and asked everyone how their meal tasted. This place is just fantastic. First offs...the food is delicious. I always get the regular my burger with all of the toppings. I have to say that I am VERY picky with my burgers and this one is my go to for a quick burger. It's like they tapped into my brain and picked all of the things I like most on a burger: grilled onions, pickles, ketchup and mustard. You can also get it "California style" if you like gross toppings on your burger: lettuce, tomato and mayo. I'm not sure why that makes it from California but whatevs. The fries that come with the burger are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and salty on the inside. My husband goes for the mushroom swiss burger and he adds bacon which he says is also a fantastic choice. Way better than "Five Guys" which I want to like but just don't. Second offs...the people there are not ass holes. Every time I have been in there they are nice to everyone in the restaurant! It is a genuine feeling and you can tell they are just a good group of people who want to give their customers a great experience. Last offs...it is very affordable. All in all...a great place and I look forward to eating there often.

We stopped in on a late night, on our way home from activities in uptown. the service was fast, the food not really out of the ordinary, but it was good. The number of toppings for burgers was great however, so couldn't complain there, just didn't feel any different than any other burger place we've been to

Pretty good, I think the idea of simple menu may have been taken too literally. Simple menu works for IN n OUT but I want just a tad bit of choices when I spend $8.00. I would love to see some different sauces and some options with the fries. Love the beer and Box wine:) like the burger patty, Take notice Burger Jones. Like the building and the service was good... I love the place and will be back, but if I win the Lotto I will show you what a burger Joint should be, Until then, I will have 12 more Cali style burgers so put me down for $13 bucks a month.

This place nails everything required of a great burger place: The food is top notch...the burgers are the right size (not too big, not too wimpy) and never over/under cooked. You can get a double burger for relatively cheap (my move) if you want to go big. Burgers come with a solid amount of fries. Secondly, the menu is streamlined enough so that making an order isn't overwhelming, but there's plenty of variation for you to get a little wild if you're feeling adventurous. I got the burger of the month a while back that had a spicy mayo type sauce and a fried egg on top. Made my day. The fact that myburger serves beer nets it a fifth star. Key ingredient for a solid neighborhood burger joint. The staff and manager are friendly and helpful as well. Overall totally worth the trip.

Excited to see a new burger joint in the hood, as that is sorely lacking in the Lakes area. Checked it out with the lady tonight and neither of us were impressed. I wanted to be. They are going after the Five Guys concept: Simple menu (although a few more options like Fish Sandwich, fruit substitute for fries, onion rings, etc). There is an extra charge for cheese and some other "premium" toppings. The difference is that Five Guys has better burgers and fries, quite simply. The My Burger was rather bland. Bun was good and fresh, but meat and ingredients were no better than fast food quality. Fries were even more disappointing. Standard poured-from-the-bag frozen fries. Fresh-cut are so much better! Staff was nice, and good concept for the area. I hear they are going to begin serving beers, but I don't know why. It's not at all a bar-like atmosphere...bright lights and small space. Disappointing is a good word. I'm not a big Burger Jones fan either, but it's a much better choice for a burger and beer. What this area really needs is a good sports bar with a greasy ole' burger and wings menu for a reasonable price (like the Nook or Shamrock's in St. Paul).
