Okay, this is the strangest review I've every written. I didn't have breakfast or lunch yet today so pulled underground here to run into Sarpino's for a quick slice. HOwever, they didn't have any left at 3:00 p.m. so I ran into this market. (The other choice was a liquid meal from Sorella's but I had to come back to work.) This market not only had a beautiful salad bar and soups but a hot dish special to go! It was pot roast, potatoes and vegetables and suddenly I realized, I haven't had a "home-cooked" style meal in forever so went for the pot roast. It was SUPER GOOD! Tender and juicy but lean, potatoes were the real deal and very reasonably price to boot! My belly is so happy and I feel very comforted by my surprise breakfast/lunch/dinner. Thank you Mill City Market! You'll be seeing a lot more of me now....

Something more than a convenience mart, but less than fully stocked grocery. But for a traveler on a weeknight @ 9 PM, this was one of the very places near downtown to pick up items to stock the mini-fridge. There's Ben and Jerry's in the freezer case. I agree with another reviewer that the man on duty offered service with a smile.

As far as a small scale market goes Mill City is as good as it gets. Extremely friendly service, and a very good selection, you'd be amazed at all the different stuff this small store has got in it. You may even find some things here that will make Mill City a destination for you if you live or work in the area as there are some unique offerings for a store Downtown. They also carry fresh produce, and fresh bakery goods from local bakeries, love the breads from Franklin Street that they carry. My favorite Gelato is carried here too, Gelati - Da, and as of now is still about a quarter cheaper than the larger stores that carry it. Grocers like this are unfortunately hard to find Downtown and most places this size are more like convenience stores in both the stuff the carry and the high prices they charge. This is really a great store!

This market is a blessing in the Mill District. You might not want to do all your shopping here--no fresh meats and limited vegetables, but it is much more than a convenience store with a salad bar, soups, great sandwiches and above average selections of things like frozen deserts, cheeses and specialty items. Fresh rotisserie chickens are great. They sell out fast, so it is good to get in early. Breads and pastries from the Franklin Street Bakery are also there. For a small market, it is far above average.

The Mill City Market is a connivence store with the grocery store feel. You will find me there at least once a week. I'll be the one hoarding the chili. I love the Mill City Market. It is located very close to my office, so I consider myself a regular here. It is located in a neighborhood where there isn't too much for quick lunch time food (the nearest fast-ish food is @least 5 long blocks in either direction). I assume the place is considered an outstanding amenity with those who reside within the Bridgewater. The Mill City Market offers a wide variety of the same sorts of things you might find in the grocery store. They also have a phenom salad bar, a hot entree option every day for lunch and as I sit here I am consuming a large bowl of their award winning chili. I often find myself there if I forget fruit or vegetables in my lunch - they have a pretty great selection for a city store and of course any time a chili craving sets in! It's a little pricey, but not above what I would pay for convenience. The man who usually works there is super nice and personable and is always willing to grab you penny from their jar to be sure to make a convenient amount of change, I also don't think he ever charges me for my salad dressing :)

What a wonderful GEM in this part of town, to have a hometown Grocer feel, with a modern upscale look and vibe to it. This is a great place to stop when your looking for something other than restaurant food. You can stop in here for a Soup & Salad Bar, along with a large selection of fresh made sandwiches, and throw in some fresh produce and a huge variety of drinks to quench your thirst. Once you have decided on what you want you can sit at the window seating area and relax and enjoy your purchases. Better yet it is a block from the Gold Medal Park which is he perfect place to enjoy your lunch and escape some of the busy city for lunch. Everyone that works here has always been super friendly and enjoy a good conversation when they are not busy.

Yay! On my walk back to work I stumbled accross the Mill City Market. Not too many restaurants for a grab and go in this area, so this place was a nice find. Small salad bar, pre- made sandwiches to go and they're good sandwiches. Mine was 4.67 + tax on good flavorful bread and a good amount of meat. Small produce area, deli meats sopressata and the best part being they carry Mendota Springs in the bottle. Lime, lemon and regular. Not many places carry this anymore that I've found. Service was excellent. What a nice guy, not sure if he was the owner or not, but so helpful, genuinely friendly and outgoing. What a nice gentleman and a breath of fresh air when it comes to customer service. Nice little find of a convenient store and a nice alternative for a quick on the go bite to eat.
