I found out they had a mongolian BBQ so gave them a try, the mongolian BBQ was pretty good, but standard to what you find at chinese buffet. The buffet itself, I didn't trust as it was really slow when I came and god knows how long that food has been sitting out. I had sweet roll that was cold and stale and decided that was enough food for me. Cook at the BBQ was friendly and waitress always made sure my coke was full. Most of the dishes looked to be standard fare. Ok place for me for a saturday lunch when I crave mongolian BBQ, but not much more than that.

My first time here and my last time here. The server was mean and rude! She pushed my hubby out if the way when he was trying to calm down baby so she can grab or played that we were still eating! She always asked in a man fine "you done you done? " and took my plate before i Daud anything! When we left she came back and stopped me and led at the table literally sideways and up and down and looks at me and says "you left me a mess and no tip"! I was paying with a credit card had no cash on me and even with her nasty attitude i was still going to leave a tip but after that nope! I shouldn't even had to pay with that kind of service! No dint go here!

Thank god it close. Not even compare new king buffet across the street. First time I went during grand opening and I was treated bad already and walked out.

Just blah. They have your standard Chinese buffet items with a few different things thrown in. For $9.99 Sunday dinner it was exactly as I expected. I would return when craving cheap salty food, but would definitely not honour of my way to find this place.

Really like this place. Food is always hot. Larger choice of sushi than similar types of places. Friendly and clean.

C1 is pretty decent considering other buffets near the area. Price is right at $7 for lunch. Most of their dishes are tasty (not bland). Selection is about average. However, they need more healthy choices like steamed or boiled veggies, & dim sum dishes. Lunch, definitely. Dinner, Maybe.

Of all the Asian buffets I've eaten at in the Twin Cities area, this is one of my favorites. Even on Saturdays you can have lunch here for $7. C1 Buffet has a decent selection of sushi, a Mongolian grill, different flavors of ice cream (besides the usual chocolate and vanilla), and even a chocolate fondue/fountain to dip marshmallows in. It's also much quieter than Hibachi in Spring Lake Park, which tends to be very noisy and crowded.

Meat products were fatty and rubbery, wontons were dry, crab legs watery and the rice was cold. Receptionist was too busy playing games on her phone and goofing off with other employees to discuss anything with. Would not recommend to anyone!

If you are looking for quantity & quality, this is definitely a place to try out. It just might suit your tastes. It's conveniently located right next to the Target on SCP (if you're having friends meet you there). There is a large waiting area when you enter, should you be so unfortunate as to arrive during their peak business hours (we got there at 6 PM, there was no one waiting). There are about 3-4 separate seating areas & about 5 or 6 twin rows of buffets, one long dessert/salad buffet & a round Sushi buffet. There is also one of those make your own stations (which we did not partake of) with what seemed like a good selection of ingredients to pick from. Items that stood out: Shrimp (I forget the names, but one was in this white sauce & another was deep fried. The seafood in general was quite good) Baby Octopus Broccoli & Beef (The broccoli especially) Cream Puff Service was quick & efficient. The server had our check & fortune cookies at the table within 30 seconds of us returning with our dessert. No trying to wave down the waiter and get him to take your money. I think I've said about all I thought I wanted to on the drive home & I am now ready to drift into my weekend ending coma..

I would actually give this place 3.5 stars. Chinese food, sushi, and a wok all built into one buffet. Aside from the sushi being utterly avoidable at all costs, the rest of the food here is pretty decent. There is a wide variety of dishes so you're sure to find at least one dish that'll make you want a second helping. The mussels are the really good, my parents both crave them. There are also enough options so that you don't have to eat breaded food coated in an unhealthy glaze as your entire meal (although who can really say no to a little orange chicken?). I prefer the wok, it doesn't cost any extra and the guy doing the cooking knows how to cook everything just about right. They also have a takeout option so you can load up a dish and pay for it based on weight I think. I've never done it, but it might be an option if you feel the need to load up on a certain dish and bring it home to the family.

The food is ok nothing to like scream about the mangolian stir fry is great though. The wait staff is really good about making sure you have enough to eat. I would go there again if nothing else was open or I was close.

If this is the buffet next to target then it sucks...mashed potatoes (watered down) at a chinese restaurant enough said...if this isn't the one next to target then my bad :)

I don't know why people continue to go to C1 Buffet, the food there is so bland and it doesn't taste like anything.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
