Came here last night at midnight to surprise a friend for her birthday. We were the ONLY group here, a table of 7. There were about 2 other tables as well that were only there for drinks. Our waitress comes strolling over. We all ordered a round of beer. The bartender finished our drink orders right away and our beers just sat at the bar table counter for another 10 or so minutes before our waitress noticed and brought them to us. She took everyone's order except one of my friends and started to walk away before we mentioned that she had forgotten to take another order. She rudely turned around and quickly jotted down the order and left. We then proceeded to waiting 50+ minutes for our food. Being the only table there ordering food, who knows why. By the time we were leaving, the restaurant was way over their closing time since they took so long to get us our orders. Not to mention, the food wasn't even hot/warm. My friend also asked for a round of waters and the waitress completely forgot and we had to remind her again and got our waters about 10 minutes before finishing our food. Terrible service, your best bet is finding another BWW.

I've been to other B-dubs, and when people say the service here sucks, they aren't kidding. I've been to other B-dubs and service here is trés slow. One person in our group took too long to order, and the server left to take care of another group, instead of moving on to the next person in our group. Food took an eternity to arrive too. Paying the bill was a pain. Single handedly the worst Buffalo Wild Wings I've ever been to. Definitely avoid it.

  • Jessica L.

The wings are as good as usual but the service can be better. We wait almost 20 mins for our food and when the waitress refill our drinks, she accidentally refill the water.

Stub and Herbs it is not. If you want loud, airy, bright, TV-filled spaces this place is for you. I prefer the crafty neighborhoody types of places like Stub's. Pizza, wings, typical but not standout tap selection. Food served in cardboard holders. It's for sure a "homer" bar so even though there are tons of TVs, don't expect to see much beyond Minnesota sports here.

If this place wasn't right by the Bank and the Barn, I would never step foot in here again. I'm all about re-purposing buildings to become other, more convenient things, but this fire station transformation seems all kinds of wrong when its new purpose isn't the greatest. The proximity to sports arenas should mean that they are staffed appropriately both pre- and post-game, but does that ever happen here? NOPE! The other thing that this place doesn't do right is consistently prepared food. I've had soggy fries, wings without much sauce and flat beer. B-Dubbs (even your nickname is godawful) do better.

The service at this BWWs is consistently poor. Inexperience and inattentive bar tenders make getting a refill a half hour ordeal. Also, every time I request to watch a sporting event that is not hockey I get a lot of pushback from the staff. Came in tonight for the Tuesday night special and my wings were inedible. However, they did not charge me for them which I appreciate.

Like others have said before the service here can be a hit or miss but this last time I went the servers were great and quickly made it right when my order came out wrong. I had ordered part of my order as mild buffalo but instead got hot. Aside from the mild buffalo (which never disappoints) I also had the desert heat dry rub. They were both delicious. The desert heat sounds hotter than it really is, if you haven't tried please do. Keep in mind that this location is right next to the U of M so avoid coming here on game day of any kind because it gets incredibly busy! They have a little parking lot that accommodates about 30 cars, other than that you can pay for parking across the street in any of the stadium lots which is usually about 6 dollars on weekends.

An African american bald waiter with an attitude that works here shorts people change consistently. Observed it 2 times at one stop, both on my table. The food was well put together, but the refills take FOREVER! He also did not give us the correct food either. We did not realize it until the end. All and all, another horrible experience. I have been to 3 different bww and they all have been consistently lacking. I will NEVER go to another bww in my life.

The food was delicious as always, and the setting was unlike any other BWWs I had ever been to! However, the service was incredibly slow - even when there were only a few tables occupied.

Love BW but this place is terrible. Servers are bad, not personable, never smile. Food tastes similar to something cooked in an easy-bake oven... Over processed, plastic ect. Total bummer, was hoping for better. Mc D's has better chicken (not that I would ever eat it sober) and you don't have to deal with staff. BOOM!

Crazy spot to stop before Vikings game at TFC! Nothing special here but staff was nice! Bathrooms were a mess! But the beer was cold and the sun was warm!

Tried ordering a drink 4 times, only to find out they either don't have it, or its discontinued, even though it's on the menu... Missed two pieces of the order on a slow day, stuff happens I get it. Still lame. Wings seemed to be missing half the sauce for some reason, and we never did get the appetizers we ordered. Otherwise it's fine. Cozy, music wasn't too loud. It's not a bad spot. Just wish they'd wrote the order down instead of trying to remember it :|

Apocalyptic, does not even begin to describe this place. There was two of us at the bar, 2 servers and the manager just stood around chatting as we waited to be served. We had to pester each of them repeated to be served in any way. I like Bdubs, but my experience makes we want to never come back.

    (1)
  • Jason S.

Dear Bdubs, Oh how I love your wings, I love your sauces too, I didnt care when you raised the prices of your wings, I still came back. I also didnt care whenever your terrible servers gave me terrible service, (I used to serve, bartend, and now manage a bar so trust me I know and teach good service every day), I didnt care that your employees were also rude and bad mouthed customers within hearing distance, I also didnt care that your manager must be terrible for allowing these practices to go on. The best part that i loved is knowing when I am on my way home I can come in for your late night happy hour, grab some wings, a couple apps, and a nice cold beer before going home. OH WAIT I went there yesterday and you didnt have late night happy hour anymore? I heard it hasnt been going on for a while? why oh why would you take away late night happy hour? I dont even need to lecture you on the practices of taking away happy hour from devoted customers, especially late night? do you know what your target market is down there? So after hearing this I gotta say, I will never be back, really, i mean really, you guys know you did the incorrect thing here right?

  • Jennifer Z.

The few times I've been here I was kind of disappointed with the wings. Maybe I chose the wrong sauces/seasoning but I've had better wings. They do have a wide variety of sauces/seasoning to choose from. The spicy ones are REALLY spicy. Their other food menu items are good too. I love coming here to grab a drink quick drink. You can play trivia too and there are many big tv monitors to watch all the sports games going on. Also if you want to do a small fundraising event they are very accommodating to big groups/events. Overall a good place to go to near campus for some beer and some grub.

    (3)
  • Misa S.

This place is not bad. U just need some patience but they will treat u right if ur not a difficult customer. U don't come here for service. U come here to have beer and chill while watching games on their flat screen TV's. so don't be expecting awesome food/service. Come for wings and beers. And just chill.

  • Andrew H.

Come on BWW's, you're better than this. You need a new GM here, really. I'm disgraced that this establishment exists on the campus I pay tuition to and all they care about is robbing people blind. I'll try to recount my experience without sounding too hateful below. I came here three times within the first 5 months of opening here. I loved BWW's and one 5 blocks from my dorm was awesome, even watched the worst team on earth (Packers) win a Superbowl here. I went back with some roomies and family for the first time last night before going to the NIT quarterfinal game and was utterly disgusted. No drink specials on game days. You want a cheap beer? Like the cheapest they have? That'll be around $6 said our server, it was actually $7 on the receipt (they don't list drink prices on the menu so nobody knows them not even the paid servers) They advertise the perfect draft on the back of their menu with "perfect head" and "a thick glass base" what we got was a flat beer in a PLASTIC cup for $7 that was maybe 10oz. and the taste was worse than beer at any college house party. It's not even that their happy hour deals are that good, $3 for a bad beer on a college campus? You gotta do better than that. It took an hour for our food to get to us which left us 10 minutes to eat and make it to the game on time. We missed three minutes of the game and were pissed about it. A different server brought us our food finally and my roomie didn't get the ranch he asked for so he asked that server and she snapped that he better ask his other server about that order because she didn't know about it and can't comply with it. Can't comply with a cup of ranch? What?? My other roomie complained that the beer that came in the plastic cup was not as advertised as the beers in the picture that came in glass mugs and he was shut down harshly. The wings are always ok but 7.99 for 7 tiny boneless wings is robbery. I wish I had enough pull to boycott this restaurant cause they need a message to get to them that there needs to be a change pronto. I understand I'm probably not their demographic, they want rich old alumni to come there to pregame but that shouldn't matter. In an age where social networks hold establishments like this accountable, they need to improve or shut this location down. It's an embarrassing representation of the U.

I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!!!!!!! RUDE STAFF!!!!!!!!! Me and a group of friends went here to celebrate a promotion and I called ahead to ask about parking. I was told that all we needed to do was drive up to the gate and they would let us In.WELLLLL.. When we arrive to the busy location the gate was blocked off! 3/25/2014. I was told by the rude Staff that they would not be opening the gate due to the game playing that evening. I said we are paying patrons. We had no idea there was a "game" and we were just interested in parking and getting some wings. PERIOD. The rude waitress said that her Managers are not make ANY exceptions to open the gate to paying CUSTOMERS!!!! WTF!!! I asked for the Manager .. this Blonde causally walks out and says were not opening the gate and walks off. We took our Large party over to Rose-ville and tipped our waitress VERY well! YOU WILL NEVER EVER GET MY BUSINESS AGAIN TRUST ME !!! I recommend some MANAGER AND STAFF TRAINING !!!!!

Service was really slow. The waitress could not handle the 6 tables she had. Our burgers and wrap were dry. The wings were good as usual.

Ahh Buffalo Wild Wings. Serving up the most average of chicken wings since the 1980s. Haven't noticed anything bad about the service here as far as BWW's goes. I don't think it's taken me longer to get my orders here than at any other location. And to those who complain about the small selection of beers, I mean what do you expect? It's BWW's. If you come here, don't come in a car however. The parking lot is not the greatest, especially during the winter. Most of the time, it's completely full. Even when it's not, it is so small and cramped that you'll be hard-pressed to get your car into and out of a parking spot.

It's BWW. it's a brand. We always get to-go orders from this place. Small resturant and ambiance is not good as other BWW. We went once for dine In and later on we are getting only to-go from this place. Best part is they have parking place

  • Satie Q.

we went here during the Vikings game going on right across the street at TCF stadium. despite being busy, service was fast. the wings were among the better ones from the various BWW chains, and the TVs were meant to be watched. (some BWWs have the TVs so high up in the ceiling as the rooms set up like a warehouse that they are hard to see - not this one!). pretty cool to be sitting watching the game while hearing the cheering across the street - while I was warm. would have been nice to have beer in a real glass rather than plastic cup, however, given it was right after the tailgating outside pre-game so understandable why no real glasses left. this was one of the best BWWs I have been to.

I like this Bdubs alot for exactly what their aiming for - wings, beer & sports. If that's what your looking for, then this is it. From my many visits, the food has always been consistant & service has always been polite! The only major issue I have with this particular location is, parking is awful! Its a very small parking lot & you can't park on the street anywhere surrounding the restaurant. You would have to go nearly a block a more away to look for some street spots... which it's not the end of the world - but if there's more than 10 - 15 patrons in that place, you can guarantee the lot's already full!

I used to go here in college. I think the quality has declined. The boneless wings are disapointing.

I've been to BWW quite frequently over the past couple of years, but it's always a little bit of a drive from where I live. So I am ECSTATIC when I heard this location was opening right across the street from TCF Bank Stadium (in the historic Station 19 firehouse building). Of course, whenever I have high hopes about a place, my dreams are usually crushed and I have a less than pleasant experience. But not this time! I don't think I can say one bad thing about this place. The BF and I had just flown home from vacation last Wednesday and we were starving. Late at night, it's not a jetlagger's dream to stay up and cook, so we jumped online to find the nearest Buffalo Wild Wings. Up pops this location, and then I remembered an introductory coupon for 6 free wings that I'd plastered to the refrigerator weeks earlier--SCORE! So we called this location to find out how late they were open, and more importantly how busy they were and if they had parking available (because it can be a royal pain in the *** to find parking around campus sometimes). The guy that answered the phone was super helpful: he answered all of our questions, plus went into detail about the parking situation. For all of you future patrons: They have a parking lot that you can use on non-game days. You pull up to the entrance, and type in the code that is listed on the security gate, or more than likely they will just push a button from inside to gain you entrance after they see you drive up (that's what happened for us anyway). The parking lot's not real big, so on busy nights, I wouldn't bank on getting a spot, but there was plenty of room the night we went. Since they weren't real busy, we were seated right away. Like I said, I've been to a variety of BWW locations, so when I walked into this one I was thoroughly impressed. The bar is located sort of in the middle of the large space, and it's huge--this place is also a lot more brightly lit than most of the BWWs I've been to, so it makes it appear much more spacious. There were plenty of TVs for viewing, including a gigantic one behind the bartender. We made it there just past 10pm, so when our friendly waitress (Madison) came over, she rattled off their happy hour specials from 10pm-Midnight. We had no idea it would be happy hour, so it was very helpful that she took it upon herself to inform us. We started out with a $3 order of mini corn dogs, and they were delicious! I've never had anything other than boneless wings and potato wedges at BWW before, so this was a treat. After we scarfed them down, we proceeded to devour our boneless wings. They were hands-down the BEST wings I've ever had from a BWW anywhere. Most of them were very big, well-heated so they didn't cool off while we were eating, and they had the best sauce coverage I've ever gotten. We had both traditional sauce and their 'desert heat' rub, and both were perfect for our taste! I know it sounds silly, but even the celery tasted better here than other restaurants :P But seriously, if you live, work or go to school around here, and you love your chicken wings...you gotta check this place out. You shouldn't be disappointed--we sure weren't!

All these positive reviews are written by the staff...this place is the pits... We went there after a Gopher hockey game... 1. It is setup like a club in that you cant seat yourself...theres an entrance way....ummkay?! We get seated after a ten min. wait...there was maybe ten people there...yet at least 20 staff... 2. While we were there, a mouse ran thru the restaurant...time to play "how many blonde college girls does it take to catch a mouse?!" 3. A friend ordered a beer...they have ZERO craft beers on tap...hope you like Budweiser...on top of it, we sked the waitress what their best German type beer was and she got confused and had to go ask...really?? 4. The Wild game started at 9...the manly bartender said, no it starts at 930...now mind you his is the STATE OF HOCKEY...we missed the whole first period because the manager/bartender was a moron! Crappy sports bar!

I don't know how the service here is always so slow. It's never busy when I'm here and I'm not ordering crazy menu items Traditional wings. Caribbean jerk. It's really not that difficult. The food is generally ok too. The wings are usually hot and well seasoned. But the last time I stopped by on a boneless Thursday, my wings were barely warm. And saying "barely warm" is being pretty damn generous. I'm pretty sure those wings were sitting for about an hour underneath a burnt out heating lamp. And I have to ask for celery about half the time I'm here. This company may be headquartered in Minneapolis, but they get no free pass on providing quality food. Sometimes I'm not really sure why I keep coming back. :-/

Bad, bad, bad. Slow service from being seated to being served. Long wait period for condiments not brought with meal. Food cold burger tough and dry. Only good comment the beer was cold. Manager has a bad attitude.

Please train your staff on what the rotating beers are that are not printed on your menu. Your bartenders and wait staff never seem to know what those are. Cant you just print an additional list??

I love Buffalo Wild Wings and I was excited when BWW's opened up on campus. However I am not impressed with this particular BWW's service. It often takes a long time to get food, even when it's not very busy. The waiters often forget things or mix up orders and my food is often not as warm as it should be. If you are looking for parking, the small lot that they have is usually full, so get ready to pay for parking in a ramp or surface lot, sometimes you can find meters nearby if it is a non-game day, which means that in the summer time, parking should not be as much of an issue because there are not many University sports going on at this time. When there are many events going on at the same time, such as a hockey and basketball, they seem to never be properly staffed to handle all of the people. They really need to sync their staffing schedule with all of the events on campus (especially games). At least three or more times that I have been at this particular location, my friends and I have gotten up from our tables to track down the waiter to get the bill and or have them take our payment for the bill! I have had great service when I am waited on by a friend....clearly that doesn't help much, but its something! This is often after we have already asked another waiter nearby to track down our waiter for us! events on campus. All in all, I love Buffalo Wild Wings but I have started driving to the Roseville location because of how bad the service is at this particular Buffalo Wild Wings. This is coming from a person who lives and works on campus and if I wanted to, I could easily take a 10 minute walk to go and get wings at this location, but prefer the 15 minute drive to the Roseville location.

Racist and crappy service. I'm normally a good tipper but I was ignored so much here I decided they didn't deserve it. I ordered a ton of food for two people and they didn't even come to check on me once. i ended up getting up and walking to the server to ask for my tab and my friend ended up being late for his class since they ignored us for over 30 minutes. Also our food took forever to come out!

I used to love BW3's when they first starting springing up, but I see now that it doesn't matter if you have 20 styles of sauce when none of them are better than a standard buffalo sauce. With that said, this is more a review of the bar, and what makes this bar different than a typical BW3. Given it's location, steps away from TCF, Williams and Mariucci, it provides a great service to those looking for traffic to die down after a game. The bar has multiple levels and is much bigger than it looks on the outside. After the game there was a wait for the restaurant portion of the establishment, but lots of room in the bar. I like that the two areas are on separate floors because when you are at the bar, it feels like a bar and not the generic bar/restaurant vibe at the typical location. After a game the place will be packed, but it accommodates well. It was well staffed, so getting a drink was not difficult. Even if you don't get a seat, there are many places to stand. That makes this location feel less like the typical suburban chain, where if there are no places to sit, people drive to the Joe Sensor's on the other side of the parking lot. In general, it is just more lively and younger than other locations. There are about a million flat screen televisions on the wall. Nearly every square inch of wall space is covered by one. Pro - no matter where you are situated, there is a TV directly in front of you and you don't have to turn your head to watch. Con - I got a little motion sick because there is so much movement on your periphery, particularly when the camera is jerky.

I have been an occasional customer at various BWWs locations around Minnesota, and I have never been happy with their customer service. My visit to the BWW on campus was the last straw. I ordered the 3 pulled pork sliders, and a side salad. The place was busy, but that was to be expected. The waitress brought out both my side salad and meal at the same time, so I ate the salad first out of habit. It took me about 5 minutes until I moved onto my sliders, and I quickly realized that they were cold. Because the restaurant was so busy, the waitress did not come back by our table for about 10 minutes. When she finally made it over, I waived her down, and asked if she could bring me one fresh slider because they were cold. I explained that I ate my salad first and by the time I got to the sliders, they were too cold to consume. She went to talk to her manager, and then told me that she could not give me a new slider because she "cannot control how fast the customers eat their food." I was taken aback by her response, and just frowned at her. I had never complained about my food before, and was unsure how to respond to that. I now realize that I should've asked to talk to her manager because she still charged me for the sliders. The waitress offered to heat up my sliders, and I denied her suggestion because that would just make the sliders soggy. She then asked if I wanted a box. I was livid. IF I DON'T WANT THIS FOOD NOW, WHY WOULD I WANT IT IN THE FUTURE?! I will never be returning to a Buffalo Wild Wings. They do not deserve to be paid for poor service, and average food.

This location opened in the Station 19 building across from the Gopher Football stadium. Either you like wings or you don't. I do! We try to visit Dinkytown a couple times a month; WOW it keeps getting cooler. Anyways, we came here last night to get dinner & play trivia. Since it's new, it's NICE. It's a large space; really bright & clean. Big patio facing University. Free parking in the connected lot! We opted to sit in the dining room area in a big, comfy booth. The food was obviously good. And, it was 60¢ boneless wings night, so we got out for pretty cheap. So, why am I writing this review on a chain restaurant? Because the staff was AWESOME. The hostess was SO nice & our waitress Amanda was equally great. Not only will we come back for the food, we'll come back for the staff!

I have been to many Buffalo Wild Wings, but this location takes the prize as my favorite! Not only is it conveniently located on campus, but the inside is so cool! There are flat screen tv's everywhere you look, exposed brick, high ceilings, and an overall unique atmosphere. I usually go for the 60 cent boneless wing Thursdays, and am never let down. The service is always great and the waiters/waitresses are always very friendly! If you're not a boneless wing fan, there is a 45 cent wing deal on Tuesdays or happy hour with $3 appetizers and drink specials. This is the perfect location if you are looking for a place to drink before a Gopher game or get dinner with friends. Parking is a little frustrating though. When there are events going on, parking isn't allowed in their little lot. However, on slower nights, I've been able to park in the lot, which was very convenient.

Great location near campus for Gopher hoops or football games. Too bad this place is run by someone who has no understanding whatsoever of customer service. Came here after a basketball game when there were maybe 15 open tables in the dining room and thirty people in the bar. Put our name on the list for a table and was given a pager. There were a bunch of open tables, so it shouldn't have taken long. Ten minutes later, the pager goes off as the crowd pours in from the game. Great, we get a table right? Wrong. The manager declared open seating when everyone poured in, and the place is now packed. The hostess asked us if we "had a question" as we handed her the buzzing pager, and looked at me like she'd never seen me before when she was the one who put our name on the list. Yes, I DO have a question! Why the F did you give me a pager and write my name on a list? And another question....what is it like to have amnesia? Nice management. We had to get in line to tell the manager how peeved we were behind the other 15 groups on the "list." Won't be going back.

I've been to BWW many times before, and it has always been a pretty good experience. However, after ordering take out from this location 3 different times, I don't think I'll be coming back. The first time we ordered wings to go, they gave us an approximation of 10-15 minutes. So we arrived in this time frame but still had to wait another 10-15 to get our food. Okay, not a big deal the first time. We love the wings so we will come back (and it's the closet location to us). We ordered a second time after shopping in the quarry. We were told about 15-20 min this time. So we drove straight over there and it took about 23 min with traffic. We still had to wait another 10-15 min to get our food. WHAT? All we ordered were wings. Wings take about 3 minutes to make. We decided to try again tonight. It is wing tuesday and that is all we ordered with a side of bleu cheese and celery. They told us 15-20 min again, so we waited this time so they would be ready when we got there. I went in and paid, and yet again had to wait around. There was a group of guys sitting there for [presumably] awhile before we got there. The staff member brought their food out after I had been standing there for about 10 minutes and I heard her say "because you had to wait so long we gave you 6 wings for free". I'm thinking, 'okay, this is the 3rd time we've ordered take out and had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for wings where the heck is our free food'... I waited another 5 minutes after there was some confusion with the guy who took my payment and she went to go get my wings downstairs. really?! 35 minutes to wait for wings? oh, and our side of celery only included 5 small slices.. with an order of 30 wings. All the other BWW I have been to you can walk up to the counter for take out orders and the wings will be ready within 5-10 minutes, usually the former. Needless to say, I'll be making the trip to Roseville for my BWW fix next time.

I had the traditional wings hot style. They were mediocre. The fries were lame too. Beer list ok I guess. There are a lot better places to go for wings and beer in my opinion.
