Went for the first time, and I was impressed by the spicy sauce and the thin crust. My server was great. Hey, this isn't trying to be Travail. It's a basic pizza place, and a good one at that. $7.99 lunch buffet is nice. I am moving to Robbinsdale this month, and I think that this will be a regular hang out for good, reasonably priced food. Hey, Broadway--do you deliver in town?

When I live in MN in the summers, Broadway is my favorite place for pizza. If you like thin crust, it can't be matched. I noticed that there are reviews on here that say it isn't as good as the "orig" Broadway pizza. Well, that's true because the original was torn down for hwy 94 and was back in the early 60's when I had my first taste and it melted in your mouth. I think some of the reviews that are posted here are from their competitors,,, ;) Just sayin'

Its not gourmet or wood oven quality, but for a thin crust pizza, it is special and brings me back whenever I'm in the area. I love the unique flavor and crust.

Hands down the best thin crust pizza in the area! Love their staff and their food! This location uses all fresh ingredients and you can really taste the difference compared to the others. When we order delivery it always arrives promptly. Love, love, love it! If you haven't been here yet you should go now!

For my money, this place does as good of a thin crust pizza as anywhere else in the cities, if not better. They do have a few other things on their menu as well such as burgers, pasta and sandwiches though I've never tried them. Be aware if you're coming here for pizza, all they do in thin crust, so if that's not you're thing then this isn't the place for you. Most of this place is taken up by the bar. They do have seating in the dining room though in my experience it fills up quickly, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, so come early or expect to wait. I usually just go with carry out. Service has always been quite good. I did once have a problem with a carry out order (they forgot to make the pizza) but they were really nice about the mixup and more than compensated for the trouble.

Comparing this location to the original one, it's pretty below average. We came here because it was closer to us than the original broadway though we like the original location a lot. They offer varieties of things, but the pizza options are limited. We tried the broadway salad, chicken strips, and eddie's extra special pizza. The salad was very meh. The chicken strips were standard. The pizza was ok. If we ever crave broadway pizza again, we would drive just a little further away to the original one.

This place has pretty standard Midwest pizza - not my thing, so I can't say if it's a good example or not. The burgers are pretty great. Pasta dishes.. eh, the lasagna has cottage cheese in it. I won't be ordering that again. Seems like a good place for a few beers and some pub grub.

I like going here with a co-worker for their lunch buffet. It's solid pizza, usually 3-4 types (all thin crust) at the same time. Also, there's a always salad bar and a pasta dish. I didn't care for the Spaghetti but the the Stuffed Shells were awesome.

OK in a pinch, but doesn't hold a candle to the original on West Broadway.

Went for pizza, ordered two, the server was good, but another guy I think the assistant manager decided to run orders out of the kitchen. Bad idea, he gave us someone else's pizza, a sausage with onions instead of just sausage and extra cheese. They had to cook another one after we sent that one back, and the guy never came back to apologize or give us any type of discount or anything. The server was very apologetic and was nice but still doesn't excuse the managers behavior.

Disappointing pizza. Not terrible but not worth a drive. Good beer special at the time and plentiful TV screens.

I was kind of disappointed by the deep dish pizza as it was pretty plain and nothing to write home about. However, the appetizers were great and the root beer on tap was awesome.

We used to have fun in both the bar area (meat raffle, pool) and the restaurant area. Since we live close, sometimes you just want no frills pizza. Unfortunately, we were recently harrassed there by a homophobic bar patron whose wife yelled expletives at our 3-year old son. When I mentioned this harassing patron to the manager, he didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I told him we felt unsafe in the restaurant and he said he had no control of people there, just staff. I guess the restaurant management is homophobic, too? Lots of pink dollars to be had in this area of town. Really, really, sad.

The pizza is tasty, old-school thin crust, but be prepared for a side of red-neck. I'm through going here, mainly because I am grossed out by the "Vikings-pissing-on Packers" kitch and over all lack of professionalism. Seveal times while sitting at the bar in the dining room we were joined by a server who is obviously too tired to be working and had to be sitting down between visits to her tables. Service by the bartender is indifferent. Maybe check if we'd like our empty beers refilled before you go out to smoke with the regulars!

Good pizza .... A bit greasy, but cheap beer specials on Sunday afternoons. Always can catch a game on one of the several screens.

Pretty standard Pizza place, also attached to the eagles nest bar... Which is one of the few places left in Robbinsdale with a pool table... Wish they were regulation size though. I bootleg drink there though so Not too sure about the drink prices, but the food is good and priced well

I love Broadway Pizza and the pizza at the Eagles Nest did not disappoint BUT the service was horrible!!! The server was rude and we didn't even get plates to eat the pizza on. Why do I need to ask for plates??? Only saving grace was the managers listened to my complaints and were very cool. But still will never set foot in the Eagles Nest again...

I typically go here for the lunch buffet with my son. It's cheap and nearby and easy to do on a day where we may be short on groceries.

This place is definitely a greasy-spoon of pizza. The pizza is fantastic with a pitcher of cheap beer and a group of friends. They have the traditional favorites of a pizzeria. Delish thin crust, pizza cut into small squares so it feels like you ate way more than you did. Decent prices. What more can I say?

Best pizza in town. Excellent sauce, toppings are great and the pie is cooked perfectly. Our delivery driver, drives the black Prius is a great guy. Very friendly, always has a good joke. This is how pizza should taste!

I grew up on this pizza and left Robbinsdale in the 80's for So. Cal. Those little square pieces of deliciousness are exactly as I remember. I knew at least three people next door at the Eagle's nest. However, since when does every combo contain shrimp. Give me the freakin' special the way it was. Shrimp??? No thank you!

BEST pizza around, love the crispy thin crust! Regarding Larry's review-this is a pizza joint, not fine dining.. .. & where in the world do you go that a waitress wears hair nets???!

  • Larry K.

Walked in and it looked like a walking billboard for what not to do for personal hygiene. The pizza makers looked as if they have been drunk or stoned for the last 6 weeks. Gal with longer hair and no hairnet waitressing. Thin piZza over priced, scantily topped. If this is the best pizza recipe that has been around for 45 years, I suggest you go save money and go to Domino's instead. At least by the looks of the product, domino's is more appealing!

Messed up my order, didn't get it delivered for over 2 hours- then when it got here it was cold and gross. Just terrible from start to finish.

The best New York style pizza around (thin crust) the pizza is really greasy but is amazing you don't eat pizza to be healthy. They have buffets on weekdays 11-2 which are good they rotate pizzas and have a small pasta bar. Also I like it more because I have gone there my whole life! The cherry coke is added with cherry syrup (yummy) the staff is really nice. The pizza comes out really hot and they do a good job! Watch out though just stick to the pizza or else the it can get pricy here.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
