Antiquated, & not in a Good Way Went here on a 1st Date, there almost wasn't a 2nd Date, if this is his idea of Fine Dining. This place needs to come into the 21st Century in it's Menu Offerings, a little too 70's-80's for my tastes. Not very Vegetarian friendly, leading me to question if he was paying attention. He lost a few points on this choice. Thank Goddess they serve Alcohol, cause I needed some so not to be annoyed with the Guy for taking me to such a Granny & Grandpy establishment. After a few of what I refer to as "Sip & Strip" Keir Royales (Champagne with a Shot of Chambord)he was looking pretty "Knight in Shining Armour" to me & me with excess Silver Tarnish Remover Cream ready to help him Re polish the damage we were about to do!!!! Points Added back in, at this point. Lets just say we accidentally got Messed Up like a Mosquito in a Window Fan , but lived to tell about it (Good Times). Don't know what the Chart in "Chart House" stands for (actually it has something to do with Lake Charts, I'm not as dumb as I look)but on my personal 1 to 5 Tiara's Chart, it only ranks a 2 out of 5, & that is me being nice, because really, it was off the Charts Pathetic if you are trying to impress a "Foodie Vegetarian"date. For families, that would be another story

We love the Chart House! They have an awesome menu, and we also found a great happy hour until 6pm. The staff is great and the atmosphere is very nice.

Mediocre food, ok service, and it would an average three star review except for the price. There is no value here.

I was attending the Groom's Dinner here during wedding weekend. I had never heard of a Groom's Dinner before this wedding, and no it wasn't associated with the rehearsal dinner because that was the day before. I suppose that the Groom's Dinner is a Southern tradition since the groom hails from Texas and the bride is from MN. This was the perfect place to hold the dinner. It sits on a lake (1 of 10,000) and it was too bad that it was raining because we probably could have enjoyed the lake more. The back room where the dinner was held is fairly large and homey. They had the fireplace crackling and it was so warm. In the little nook in the corner was the bar where we had open beer and wine. Beer for the Texans and wine for everyone else. Of course I opted for the wine of Cabernet Savignon to go with my prime rib. I am not too much of a Cab fan b/c it can be quite bitter, but the Cab that they were offering was pretty sweet and smooth... more importantly it got me buzzed in a matter of minutes. Maybe because I was dehydrated and maybe because I was starving after a long day flying the friendly skies. I soon get myself seated because I am missing the first course of salad and bread roll. Clearly I was famished because I ate just-thawed salad and a whole herb-bread roll in what seemed like 10 minutes. The salad was tasty with freshly-grated parmesan cheese, croutons, romaine lettuce, red cabbage, one grape tomato, and olives. But it was very watery and cold. The bread was soft and warm. I didn't really need any butter. Next came the main course. I had submitted in my RSVP for the prime rib au jus. Boy was my platter large!!! I must have received an 8-12 oz prime rib cooked too perfection. It wasn't "mooing" too much. And there was some fat it to enjoy. The meat was easy to cut with my knife and I dipped each morsel into some horseradish sauce and then the au jus. I didn't even need any salt or pepper. The flavor of the meat was so good and natural. The baked potato was pretty good, but it lacked the salt flakes that I am used to seeing and eating clung to the outside skin. It came with a side of sour cream with chives. The green beans were also perfect. It retained it's crunch and color and they were buttered. Yummy. The plate was nicely decorated and presented with a purple orchid. I was so stuffed from my portion and the first course that I didn't finish my prime rib and potato. But the best part of the meal was yet to come. The 3rd and final course was dessert. Wow!!! And the servers came out with a platter of desserts to choose from. In the middle was an 8-inch long dish of creme brulee, one of my favorites. There was also Molten Chocolate Cake, Strawberry cheesecake, Turtle cheesecake, and a pie that I can't remember. All of the desserts were huge, but my friend and I both had the same thing on our minds: We would share 2 different desserts. The Creme Brulee and the Strawberry cheesecake. The Creme Brulee was delicious. It wasn't too eggy for a custard or too artificially-flavored with vanilla. In fact, there were real vanilla beans in the creme brulee. You can practically see the specks of vanilla beans with every bit and every scrape of the dish. The caramel-sugar crust on top was hardened to perfection. It wasn't burned or difficult to crack. The strawberry cheesecake was velvety, light, and not too sweet. Just right for my tastebuds. The crust was moist and not loaded with sugar. The strawberries and syrup were also surprisingly sweet and complimented the cheesecake well. I also had coffee to go with dessert but it wasn't anything special. Another aspect to rave about is the bathroom. It was very clean and nicely painted. Most of all it smelled very floral and calming. Whatever they infuse into the air surely makes it a woman's bathroom. Oh and they offer Caldrea handsoap and lotion to treat a woman's hands well. The scent was a Citrus Ginger and believe me I used it and abused it throughout the night. All in all it was a great night and a fun family gathering, full of food, alcohol, and memories.

I don't remember what we were doing in the south metro, but we decided to give Chart House a try. We opted for a table in the bar area because we're classy like that. We sat for twenty minutes. Not even a cursory glance from a server. We put our coats on and left. Boo.

We've been to the Chart House twice now. I have to admit I was a bit skiddish after reading all of the reviews. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised. The first visit we sat in the dining room and had great food and service. The second time we sat on the patio and had drinks and appetizers during happy hour. Very nice! This is a hidden neighborhood gem.
