Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

My wife and I were so excited to come here, but our expectations were too high I guess. I was not happy with the taste of fried chiecken, but enjoyed the BBQ chicken more.... We were very upset that my wife was not able to take here left over sit down menu home. My wife and I will not be going back. I would rather go to KFC!

A lot of people are complaining of the lines and having to stand and wait for the fresh pizza. Here's a tip. When you walk in, request your favorite kind of pizza from any of the helpful servers. Meanwhile grab a salad, grab some chicken, mashed potatoes, etc. They actually then bring the pizza hot and ready right to your table for you to take the first slices. Then they walk the pizza to the buffet and serve everybody else. It's awesome. What other buffet does that? I recommend the BLT pizza. It's very good! Also the salad bar is top notch for me, and the dessert pizzas are really good. I especially like the peach one with a little ice cream on top. It's cheaper for my family to eat here than most places factoring in all the drinks and tip. Also, not many places has a basketball court to send the kids to when they're done eating.

Very crowded. We asked to have a gluten free pizza made as a request for the buffet, and someone took the order and then a lady came over (an owner I think) and said that you have to order a full one separately from the menu. She asked if there was anything else that she could get us (yes, how about something else to eat since I could only have the salad bar) and quickly scurried away. I guess plates are more important than people there. 4th visit, disappointed again. Sorry pizza ranch, I will not be back.

The pizza was mediocre and tasteless. The Tuscan Something pizza was utterly devoid of taste. I saw the paper thin slices of tomato but there was no taste. Glad we arrived early; the place was pretty busy by 6:15 when we were leaving. The fried chicken was juicy. I'm glad I went -- a coupon was the draw. Now I don't have to go back.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, I mean the negative reviews. It's a buffet, it's not gourmet but it is very tasty. I love that it's set up like a real restaurant with partitioned areas so it's not just a huge super loud place. The buffets are small but very fresh and tasty. My husband noticed that the pizzas are small so they could keep them fresh and offer a variety. I love their flavors and I LOVE that they have ice cream and coffee!!!! It's so nice to have a cup of coffee after dinner. The salad bar is delicious with interesting flavors....loved it!!! Oh and you can also order a flavor that you enjoy and they will bring some to your table and put some on the buffet...jalepeno and pepperoni is a good one to try ;) What I didn't like is that their buffet hours are different than their operational hours so you have to watch that because you can also just order off their menu. I would not go to order off the menu because they will not let you take home your leftovers which is nutty and if that happened to me i would be really ticked.

I struggle to write this post. I'm a pizza snob and I know good pizza (my opinion).... I hate chicken so I can't judge it. I take our 3 kids here for dinner 1-2 times a year only on special occasions (last day of school). They beg to go here?!?! They eat this stuff like they get a prize at the end of the meal. All 3 of them will actually eat the food. Enough variety to cater to all of them and they don't go home hungry. I think it's because of lack of flavor :) The good- if you want something special they do it and they did it fast last Friday night. One wants pepperoni the other wants garlic something with cheese... The 3rd wants apple sauce and chicken legs. They always have food coming out the door and they are always walking by and removing old plates. Service seems pretty fast here. The bad- Fresh pizza that is lack luster, every weird flavor pizza you can think of is on the buffet. Then the cost... $47 for 5 of us and that's 3 kids 9 and younger. My wife always gives me the stink eye when I tell the kids we can go... It's always my idea... I do it for the kids! Adults search elsewhere unless you're like my dad who can eat 3 full pizzas and dessert and laugh at the manager as they lose money on Dale!! I'm not kidding.... He's a twig with a empty left leg.

Went from 3 to 4 to 5 on this place. I really liked the chicken, but the pizza took a bit of figuring out. Certainly not rocket science, but try and get the pizza right out of the kitchen to guarantee freshness. A nice mixture of choices should easily make this place enjoyable. Frozen yogurt was pretty good as were the few choices of desert pizza; cactus, blueberry & peach. Nice atmosphere and even a room to shot some hoops.

Not worth the price. The buffet is small, the pizza is bland, the chicken is so so, the mashed potatoes are meh, the price is too high. The staff was friendly and quick and the restaurant was clean and new. While I enjoyed my time at Pizza Ranch, I did not take advantage of this being a buffet, instead I left disappointed after sampling what they offer.

I've been going here for a few years now and can say the food and service are consistent. The establishment is clean, the food is hot as well as fresh and you can count on the owner being present every 9 out of 10 visits. The owner is hard working and friendly always thanking patrons for coming in. The pricing is a bit high for what you get however they regularly send out coupons and offer a rewards program as well. Unlike a few of the reviewers on here I happen to like the old west or cowboy theme, I do agree however that the isles are cramped which can be annoying on busy nights or weekends. That being said, it's a great place to bring the kids and get a decent meal for the whole family. Tip: Restaurant has an indoor basketball court to keep the kids busy.

This is the most expensive pizza buffet I've ever been to. It's $12.50 for weekend lunch or dinner buffet! I didn't notice any prime rib or lobster toppings on the pizzas, neither. Pizza and the other buffet items taste fine -- about what you'd expect at a buffet. But it's far too expensive for what you get. Lots of locals say they don't go there for that reason ... I think it mainly attracts unsuspecting people traveling through the area on I-35.

Have never seen one of these before and I didn't know that Cowboys ate pizza.. When I look at all the MN locations, it makes sense that they seem to be in smaller towns. Not that Lakeville is small, they just seem like they would be in smaller towns or tourist towns or located right by a hotel. It 's a pizza buffett. The pizza itself is kind of booty. Very dry and not a lot of cheese or "pizazz". Different flavors, but none that I found that appealing. The best part for me was the salad bar. They had a wonderful lettuce blend witn bacon both sliced and crumbled mixed in with cherry tomatoes. There was also an arugala mix. -beets -black olives -eggs -pickles -cucumbers -carrots and other fresh vegetables And really good chunky bleu cheese dressing. The buffett also had fried chicken which was ok, but now that I've experienced broasted chicken, everything else just kind of pales... -Potato Wedges -Mashed potato/ gravy -BBQ chicken -Dessert Pizza and Ice Cream Golden Peak Ice Tea options They western motif...ok..... Kind of a Cracker Barrel meets a Fazzolis. They had a little basket ball area for little cowpokes called the Outhouse.. Staff was friendly and helpful and mentioned that if there was any pizza we didn't see but wanted, all we had to do was ask which I thought was nice. Reasonably priced. You can also order pizza's from their menu.

I love pizza ranch! I can eat pizza, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and salad. Their pizza isn't gourmet, but it's definitely delicious. I love that you can order any pizza with any toppings and they'll bring it right to your table, at no extra cost! I've never had any problem with their customer service, and I'm always looking forward to swing by!

Right when I walked into Pizza Ranch I thought this is a weird concept western style? but hey it worked. After paying for the buffet you seat yourself and get your own food. They have tables and booths while searching for a table I noticed that it wasn't the cleanest joint around crumbs all over the floor like chunks of food one good side of it is that they were trying to clean up the tables as fast as they could. If you've ever been to a KFC buffet and a Cicis pizza buffet think of putting it together and you will get pizza ranch for a few dollars more (12 a person) They offer both pizza and chicken I wasn't to fond of the pizza nothing special there but the chicken was pretty good not dry and had good flavor. For sides mash potatoes, mac n cheese which were both ok. The corn and green beans on the other hand tasted straight from a can with no salt or butter for flavor I would pass on that next time around. - They also offer a very small salad bar and about 4different dressings but again nothing special from it. I would come back if I was in the area, plus a coupon other wise skip it and find somewhere else to eat. p.s there are kids running everywhere (its .75 times their age for price) maybe because its so cheap? if you're a kid hater stay away.

We were here tonight and we were impressed. Again. We went to the buffet, which was well stocked with pizza. The staff was friendly, and someone was always cleaning something. They were momentarily out of fried chicken, but it couldn't have been a minute before it was restocked. The staff watched over the food and quickly replaced anything that was empty. Lots of variety, and tasty food. We'll be back again!

Annoying moment #1: I spent an extra couple minutes at the register because they were unable to run my credit card. Not because it was declined, but because the credit card machine shares the same line connection as the phone. Which someone was currently on, so I had to wait for them to hang up. Annoying moment #2 The restaurant is overly decorated and cramped. Only one person can walk down an isle at a time. So I found myself and many others trying to stand off to the side and wait for others to get by. Terrible set up for a buffet restaurant. Annoying moment #3 First time I have ever seen such dumb way to stock the buffet. Any buffet I have ever gone to just swaps out the whole pan. Not here, they bring the chicken and potato wedges out mixed together in a huge ass pan and slowly take it out piece by piece and place it in the empty pan in the buffet table. I really wanted to say " Hey dingbat, did you know there is a better way to do that?" Talk about a long line for chicken... The food... " Huh! They charge 12 bucks for that? No thanks, I will go to Old Country Buffet where they offer 3x more food, including fried chicken." I know I sound a little bitter, but I was just completely unimpressed.

If you just remember you are going to a pizza buffet, keep that in perspective, you will probably be pleased with this joint. No, it isn't some trendy high end pizza that makes you feel like "you're somebody!!" while you take out a bank loan to eat it and be seen. No, the chicken and fixings aren't prepared by Tim Mckee. This is buffet pizza. It is better than CiCi's, which is good because we all know what happened to CiCi' in Mn at least. It is about the same level as papa john or domino's. The chicken was good. It was a lot better than the dry stuff you get at Cub or X grocery store deli counter. The salad was surprising. Not just some iceberg lettuce with a few topping choices. It ws actually mixed greens and quite a few topping choices. The ice cream was very good. I immediately place it above every other buffet I've been to that has ice cream. It was smooth, didn't melt into soup right away, and tasted good. Dairy Queen might be looking over their shoulder?! Haha well at least Culver's. Workers quickly cleared empty dishes before you return from round 2,3,4 etc. The price of this buffet is in line with pretty much any other buffet. Maybe Old Country is slightly cheaper, but if you like Old Country buffet....go there instead..more power to you lol. I actually like the pizza, tried several kinds. I got some extra pizza sauce at the breadstick area. If your pizza seems dry or whatever, dip in some sauce, it works wonders. makes blah acceptable. I would come here again if in the area. I was actually pleasantly surprised about this place. I expected it to be bad.

Stopped by with my granddaughters for lunch. It is a pizza buffet with fried chicken and their fixins. We found the place clean and the food good. Servers were attentive. The kids loved the place and I found the chicken to be very good.

Why would anybody waste $12 a person on this place ? The pizza is horrible, the decor is hokey, cheesy and stupid. I can get a pretty decent meal at any number of other nicer restaurants for the same price. NO THANKS !

Food is good. Pizza, chicken, desert, salad bar. If the price was a dollar or two less I would be here a few times per month.
