Had breakfast here 3 times. Food was good each time, service was great, price was fair.
My boyfriend and I stopped in there last Sunday to grab a snack and have a couple beers at the bar. There were 2 other people at the bar when we sat down. The bartender, Keri A. , was so rude and treated us as though we were a nuisance to her. We had to flag her down to get anything. She would not make eye contact or check to see how we were doing. She set our food down and walked away. The appetizers we ordered came out cold and tasteless. The manager was good about removing it from our bill but I haven't experienced such awful service like we had in quite some time.
Kale salad was surprisingly yummy. This is especially a compliment considering what I really wanted was the pot pie but decided to go the healthy route. Worth a try. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

White Castle

This tiny white castle is located inside a gas station way back in the corner. They serve the full menu and the place is very well staffed for being so small. The highlight is the older lady at the cashier counter. she was SO polite! and not the fake sweet because the boss says you have to be like that but genuinely VERY nice. Not to mention she knew the entire menu in her head and ran the cash register with ease. The coolest part is while sitting waiting very patiently for my large order the lady gave me a cup and told me to get a free glass of pop while i was waiting. That was totally unexpected and i thought that was VERY impressive customer service.
Probably the cleanest and well-staffed White Castle I have been to. It is inside of a gas station, so the only seating is just 5 stools at a counter, but they still have a full menu. I grew up outside of Chicago, so we HAD to stop when we saw this location. Mozzarella sticks are the best here and I prefer my sliders with cheese :) The new chicken and waffles sandwich was actually pretty good. I couldn't eat White Castle every day, or even every season, but man, still so good!
The last White Castle before hitting the Great Northwoods! Located in a gas station, its perfect for stockpiling a case of burgers and topping off your tank before a weekend of fishing up north.

Hardee’s

Reviews:
I love Hardees! I was very disappointed to have this chain disappear from the Twin Cities. I remember my Dad always taking us to the Hardees just outside Taylor's Falls on the way to WI. So obviously when I was going on vacation and we had to stop, I made every effort to stop here for breakfast. I ordered my childhood usual, which was the biscuits and gravy. The recipe hasn't changed much at all. It is still delicious and I love it. I was expecting a hash brown when I ordered, I didn't know that they were hash"rounds" instead. It was still good however. The service was great and the food was fast. So no complaints there. Come for break
So after a 66 mile peddle bike ride,I looked forward to eating here, standing inline, two groups of four walked out,two people complaint there order was wrong, I asked for ketchup to find out they ran out of ketchup, than finally to get my order which they messed up on,next time I will just go to dairy queen to get chicken strips, it's a lot cleaner also.
Halfway stop between Minneapolis and Duluth on I-35. I think their breakfast biscuit is no question the best fast-food breakfast offering out there.

Hinckley Dairy Queen

Reviews:
This place is definitely understaffed, but while noticeable under pressure, the drive through folks were still very nice and friendly. Hinckley in general seems pretty dated and a bit dumpy, so I wouldn't call this DQ anything special regarding appearance, but the food was good and even with a major line in the drive through, the folks inside kept things moving.
This place has gone downhill a lot in the past few years. I've seen several complaints from people on Facebook about the cleanliness and workers here. Also, in several cases, they have been out of ice cream. My family and I have stopped going to this Dairy Queen due to these things. We still visit other Dairy Queen restaurants however.
The SLOWEST Dairy Queen/any fast food place I've ever been to. More like negative-speed slow food. Don't waste your time...
