We will definitely never be going to this Green Mill again, which is sad because we live in town. We've had not so great experiences here in the past but this just took the cake. Our server, who was the bartender, took ten minutes (I'm not even kidding) to bring us our drinks. She stood at the bar chatting with the other bartender and two patrons sitting at the bar, while laughing uproariously. Sure, we "only" had waters, but I am a nursing mother so there is no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to only drink water. My boyfriend was going to order a beer but changed his mind when the water took 10 minutes to arrive. After staring at her for a while she finally remembered about us and brought us our drinks. She started to walk away and we had to call her back to place our order. We had a grab-happy 5 month old at the table so I was looking forward to having the menus taken away, but she just walked away after we placed our order without so much as a mention to collect them. When she brought out plates she placed them right in front me as I was holding the baby, so of course he dove for it. She just said "oopsie!" and laughed as if it were the funniest thing in the world. When she brought a refill she again placed it right in front of the baby who was then in the high chair but I was fortunately able to grab it out of the way of his reach before he knocked it over. We arrived at 4:40 and didn't get our appetizers until 5:30. Even accounting for the fact that we didn't order our food until after 5:50, that's still an unbelievably long ticket time, especially when they weren't even busy. When we finally got our food everything was cold, except the wings which were kinda warm. She checked back on us once right after we got our food, but didn't come back for a very long time. When she came back my boyfriend had to ask for wet naps (they used to come with the wings, and since they're meant to be eaten by hand it only makes sense). She brought one for him and walked away before I could ask for one for myself. I instead went and used the restroom to wash my hands. While we waited for our bill she stood at the OS kiosk at the bar chatting it up with one of the managers and they were very obviously flirting with each other. That's the kind of professionalism that is encouraged at this restaurant, apparently. I worked in the service industry for years, and I have learned a lot of patience being a mother, so I understand when it's busy or when a restaurant is short staffed. There was no excuse other than the fact that our server was lazy, unprofessional, and totally not customer service oriented. We usually tip 20% every time, but I absolutely felt it was not justified in this case so we simply left the change because we didn't want to wait around another 5-10 minutes for the server to eventually remember about us and come back. Management, please hold your servers accountable for their service, and make table visits instead of wandering around chatting with the servers, and make sure your long-haired waitstaff tie their hair back while working. Ours did not and she kept messing with her hair the whole time. We were lucky another server brought out food out for us for that reason alone. We will not be going back to this location.

I like Green Mill food. I love their Diablo wing sauce, I like their salads, and i adore their chicken nachos. But EVERY time we are at a Green Mill, the service is borderline awful. At this particular location, the host/hostess is never by the hostess stand, and will finally meander over a minute or two later, looking like you've interrupted them. Servers are generally fine, but the service is slow. Take a while for drinks to come out, and there are long delays between getting your drink and putting in your order. And don't be in a hurry to get your bill, either. This last visit, I had a server that insisted on calling me Sweetheart or Hon the entire time. This chick was my age. And she didn't just do it once or twice. At the end of every sentence it was "ok sweetheart?" "be right back Hon." Once or twice is friendly, more than that is annoying and condescending. Food is pretty good for a chain. Seems fresh, and has very good flavor. The chicken nachos come with generous scoops of sour cream and guac, which makes me happy! The Diablo sauce is the best, followed by the Jim Beam, if you like sweet/spicy or sweet/salty.

Horrendous service from the bar where we ate. Cannot remember the name of the gal.

Not the best. Great nice people create a very friendly atmosphere but we keep giving it a try every few months and the food, while edible, is so below average we've finally given up. A place for locals who rarely get out and experience good dining I'm afraid. Need a chef or cooks who know how to reduce and control menu quality.

This green mill honestly does not deserve....1 star. I have never had a good meal from this place. Also very high prices.

On our way home from Hastings' new Toyriffic location, my dear friend Tony and I dropped in for some lunch at Green Mill. Our hostess took our drink orders and delivered them immediately (huge plus). Minutes later our waitress took our orders. Less than half an hour later our delicious food arrived. My chicken nachos were decent/above average. The pizza was tasty. Our drinks were refilled at the proper times. Above average experience.

After working a few hours at a coffee shop (Dunn Bros Coffee), the stomach started to let me know it was time to eat. I strolled down to Green Mill and found a seat at the bar. The hostess and the bartender were very friendly. On the Big Screen was a twins game, and other screens around had various stations illuminating from it's screen. The light chicken pizza was exactly what I wanted. I nice hand tossed wheat dough, large chunks of chicken, and instead of sauce this pizza had a bruschetta topping. This specialty pizza was also only 7", a nice option other than the 10" small for 1 people dining parties. Along with a Berry Weiss my lunch. People in Minnesota complain that Green Mill, along with Davannis and Cabone's, that they're chains. I would give my left foot if I could find chains like these in Colorado. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth... uhmmm... don't take local options forgranted peeps.

I've had several bad experiences w/them, some worse than other's, but that's what I get for trying to give them a chance again. The 1st time we had the most horrible service. We were ignored by our server as she visited/chitchatted w/a couple behind us for quite some time. Took her 15mins or so to take our drink orders and we were already ready to order...but she made us wait. Having several small HUNGRY children w/us made it seem longer. We still hadn't gotten our drinks when I went up to talk to the hostess and let her know how unhappy we were. She said something to our server, who, then when she brought our drinks out, slammed mine on the table and spilled over 1/2 of it. No apology and never came back to clean it up. My husband and youngest son had to go in search of napkins to take care of her mess. Our food had been sitting there waiting, so was lukewarm when we got it. Never got refills from our server, but had to flag down someone else. When it came time to pay, I handed over my BRAND NEW bankcard that had never been used. She intentionally broke it over the machine. (I took it back to my credit union, showed them and spoke w/the man in charge of the credit/bank cards, who was nice enough to give me a demonstration of how she had to have done it. It was NOT just from swiping it) I complained to the on-duty manager and showed her my card. I was told this was one of their "best" servers and that they couldn't imagine she'd do something like that, but as an "apology", she offered me 6 free wings for my family of 6. Really?? That was a slap in the face. I emailed the GM multiple times and he never responded to me. As a fluke, it turns out his son was in scouts w/1 of mine and I had the chance to talk to him. Nothing was resolved, I felt he was very condescending in the discussion and left me w/an even worse view of him and the restaurant. I tried going back several months ago, so give them another chance. We still had poor service, I was redeeming a free drink that ended up so watered down and disgusting, that I couldn't even drink it. We had to flag another server down for drink refills again as well. We saw our server for the initial drink order, when those were brought to us, when our food was delivered and then for the bill. My kids and I have had bad experiences w/when they "cater" some of their sporting events and we have been nothing but disappointed w/them. I will NEVER set foot in that restaurant again and will continue to tell anyone, when it comes up, what a horrible restaurant it is as well as management staff.

Go somewhere else! If I could give this place negative stars I would. First the wait staff and hostess could care less about doing their job. They were more worried about texting on their phones and eating lunch. Next we ordered garlic cheese toast that came out burnt when we sent it back the staff acted like it was out fault. When we got the bill we were charged for the burnt cheese toast we sent back. This has to be the worst service I have ever experienced. So disappointed being the Green Mill near where we are from is stellar.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Burnsville and ordered delivery from the Green Mill. The food didn't show up so we called after an hour and a half and they said there was a mix up. They redid the order and it arrived within half an hour. The chicken wings were supposed to be hot but we got a sweet teryiaki flavor. They put the celery in with the wings so it was limp. The garlic cheese bread was okay - nothing special. Ceaser salad was worth the $4.99 and the trio of mini burgers while over done were pretty good. I wouldn't do carry out again but might try eating in.

They really do have good food here, every time I've been I don't have any complaints. The service is a little on the slow side but very accommodating. I've tried -Walleye fingers app - hot, crispy but not too much breading, and nice size pieces of walleye. The chipotle mayo dip is weird with it though so I just drizzle with lemon juice. -Margherita pizza- great flavors!! But I'm a sucker for fresh tomato and basil. I got the pescara crust, it was recommended by the waitress and I'm glad she did!! -Chicken diablo wings- they're pretty good, meaty but something is missing. The sauce is awesome! -chicken diablo flatbread pizza app- awesome! This is what has me coming back, especially for happy hour prices. I usually don't drink anymore but I have ordered a margarita and it was not worth the money. The ultimate iced tea (not an alcoholic drink) is really good however!

I am a firm believer in "if you plant corn, you get corn". I have been going to this Green Mill for years. How about since it opened. Hundreds of visits lunch, dinner, parties etc. I have always had outstanding servers and the food has always been great. Sometimes I order something that I say I wont order again but that is my taste issues not the chef's. Tim the owner leaves his heart on the floor of this establishment. He is always open to ways of improving his service and food. Thank me for the fish taco's. That was my idea and they were yummy like everything else. Ask to sit in Jackie's section. She will take care of you as long as you aren't one of these entitled "serve me and give me an eighth place trophy types. You people can stay home and let the adults eat and be merry.

The staff are great. The Marinara sauce was old smelled like mold. I enjoyed it in the past orders but the last one I couldnt eat. I did take out and after working a long week I was looking foreward to a good meal. So disapointing. I wont return.

Decent food in a chain-like atmosphere. Service can be slow, especially at lunch when it is hard for them to plan staffing levels. I especially enjoy the coconut chicken salad but the pizza is always a good choice too.
