Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. First things first, this is NOT the best pizza you will ever eat. Before going vegan, we were both pizzavores, but look at the price. (For the record, we weren't Punch fans. Shocker, I know.) I don't really know why they have so many to-go boxes out, because, unless you're seriously dieting, it's a personal pizza with a thinner-than-frozen crust. But for what it is -nouveau fast food- it's awesome. We are both vegan and EVERY experience at this PizzaRev has been AMAZING about cross-contamination. The food prep counter is always clean (or in the process of being cleaned), the employees put fresh gloves on, and people who have touched meat have noticed us not getting cheese and let someone else throw the veggies on for us, meat juice free. Even if you order a hundred vegetable toppings (we do.) no one is weird or meager about portions, and I'm assuming it's the same with meat and cheese. Just ask for extra if you want more? It's all the same price... The manager dude is almost always there when we visit, and everything is better when he is. Although it's somewhat awkward being immediately recognized as the "no-cheese-people," you can tell he really cares about the products being put out, and the shape his restaurant is in. Pizza Rev should be happy to have someone like him running this place. Tip: They offer a punch card which you can fill up pretty fast, but the best deal of all is the the pizza + A FULL CAN OF SURLY (or glass of any beer, wine, etc) for TEN BUCKS. Still counts as a punch on your card, too ;)

We've been to several of these kinds of "subway of pizza" places that are popping up around the cities. Our favorite is the Pizza Studio in the Mall of America. The crust there is great, by the way. I felt like the pizza was pretty good, but the amount of toppings wasn't proportional to what I paid for the pizza. I feel like there should have been a little more sausage on it. Over all it was decent, but I don't think we'd bother going back. If we're up that way, Jason's Deli is a better option.

It's build your own pizza, like subway or chipotle, says the employee behind the counter, and the man was right. Novel concept but what are you really hoping for? It is like subway. It lacks true flavor while giving you Unlimited choices for $7.95. If you want pizza go right ahead. If you enjoy pizza, eat at Punch.

Pretty good pizza. I liked it a lot and will get it again. The variety of ingredients is decent and its great that you can choose as many as you like for the same price.

I have been visiting PizzaRev in Edina since they opened. The food is amazing! $7.95 UNLIMITED TOPPINGS! Anything you want on your pizza. What is not to like about it?! You get your pizza within 10 minutes. And on top of that, the staff is always super positive and energized plus a clean store. I love this place.

Great new place with terrific food, friendly staff and reasonable prices! Walk in, pick your sauce, cheese and toppings and voilà, your customized pizza delivered to your table in about 5 minutes. Options for the gluten free and vegan crowd too!

What I love about PizzaRev compared to Punch Pizza and similar restaurants is the fact that they don't charge per topping. They have a HUGE variety of toppings, and I'm able to create virtually any combination my little heart desires. I've been guilty of going a bit hog wild and piling on the toppings, but there's no harm in that ;) There are options for sauces too, so you can make a white pizza with alfredo instead. I have trouble finishing an entire pizza in one sitting, as have women I've dined with. So it should be enough to satisfy anyone's appetite. Try their oreo dessert pizza! You won't regret it.

"Chipotle of Pizza" is a pretty accurate description. They assemble your pizza in front of you, and cook it within a few minutes. You can load it up with all the toppings you want, and they've got a good selection of choices, and it's all the same price. Ingredients seemed pretty fresh, and the staff was helpful. You can even have them assemble it in whatever order you want, so if you want your sauce on top of your cheese on top of your meat, they can do that. I'd come back.

Great food, friendly staff. Toppings are fresh and you can add whatever you'd like without being nickled & dimed for every little topping. Always a great place to go to. Never disappoints!

Consider this the Chipolte of Pizza. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment I walked into the door. They have some suggested "our way" pizzas to choose from or you can build your own. The pizza is made on a very thin crust. They have most every cheese, sauce, meet topping you can imagine. Price is the same regardless of what you get on your pizza. For around $8, it is a great deal. Pizza is cooked while you wait and only takes about 4 minutes.

First of I should say I am not a fan pizza- in fact I would never order or make it for myself and the would definitely never suggest a pizza place to anyone. That being said...I loved Pizza Rev!! The crust was perfect, it was just the right amount of sauce and cheese! They have a good selection of basic toppings that you can add to your pizza- my own critique would be that I thought they would offer more toppings. Pizza fan or not you should try Pizza Rev!

Great place! Used to eat at one occasionally in California so I was excited to see it open here. The pizza is really good and the concept is great! Freshly rolled dough and unlimited fresh toppings ... how can it be bad?!? A great pizza place that is a nice break from the norm. Highly recommend it ... you won't be disappointed.

Oh Pizza Rev. Let me start with two important observations. First off, as you enter the location you are directed to a wall with menus (similar to Smashburger) although you are so close to the wall that you physically have to lean against the railing and tilt your head as far back as possible to read it. Secondly, there is no "greeting" area or obvious place to start your order. The starting point is 5" tall so you cannot see anyone, you just hope "this is the beginning." Lets move past the schematics now. As i approached what i assumed was the starting point, it was quickly clear that all of the 20 something workers behind the line had just finished smoking a bowl. "heloooooooo, have you, uh, been here before?" "um, its like Subway," and then then silence. Ok then, i think i get the concept. It was uncomfortable most certainly. I had to drive the process. My friend and I stared at each other in confusion watching this all unfold in slow motion, like a movie. Now, for the food. The concept is great- there are a wide variety of choices including gluten free crust. I was excited- but then disappointed. The pizza was very boring. The sauce has no flavor. I should have assumed this seeing the tables riddled with Siracha sauce. Lets be clear, its $7.95, for whatever you want, so i didnt expect miracles, but i can say most certainly, a Jacks frozen pizza wins hands down over this experience. If you dont care about flavor and want a quick "make it how i want it" pizza, then you will find this "fine." I cant imagine going back anytime soon.

Wonder place , nice staff. They offer a wide variety , including vegan soy free cheese !

  • Michelle O.

The customer service and gluten knowledge far outweighs the taste of the pizza and quality of the salad (but I guess what can you expect if it's gluten free). I appreciated the initial question they asked when I said I need a GF pizza. They asked "are you gluten free by choice or an allergy"... based on my answer they changed their gloves and were respectful, accommodating, and appeared genuinely concerned that they were being mindful. The cashier, Mahad, was friendly and pretty freaking awesome. The pizza was pretty standard, nothing to really write home about. If they delivered we might order it again, but we probably won't make it a habit of going their on the regular. Again, the customer service was amaze-balls! Really seemed to enjoy working there and each other!

This place is amazing! I love how it's unique you get to go through a line and put stuff on it and no other restaurants do that. I get a pizza with olive oil, pesto and cheese and it is the best! I also get a Cesar salad and it has amazing dressing. Try it!!
