Caribou Coffee

For me this is where it all started. Caribou Coffee Edina Byerly's is a place that is a cut above the rest of the Caribou's in Minneapolis. For 6 years I spent 5 mornings a week there and met some of the greatest customers and friends ever. Over the years some of the well known names included Andrea Hirsch, Sarah Strom, Andrea Lawson, Becky Williams, Courtney Comb, Don Eatom, Rachael Rubin, Teo, Dave, Sharon (the mom), Dimitri, Angie, Abby Thatcher, Liesl, Kelly, and many others. The shop is small compared to the one across the street and the staff has changed over the years, but it is still a place where everyone knows your name (especially on Sunday mornings), where a perfect 16 oz latte still comes to .94 oz., and where you will always find a great conversation with someone who has something to say. For many of the customers who frequent this particular Caribou - it is what a coffeeshop has always been sold to us as being (a home away from home where your drink will be ready when you walk in and your favorite chair will be waiting).

Spicy Pepperoni!!! Seriously it is great pizza and makes for a quick, delicious, and affordable lunch!
So check this out- a nice slice of spicy chicken/pepperoni pizza, and a chicken taco, and a can of soda for six and a half bucks. Not bad at all. Pizza was OK, yes a little greasy buy tasted great. The taco was on a soft flour tortilla with a good amount of spicy diced chicken, lettuce and cheese. The guy behind the counter was a cool gent. Friendly service with no attitude. Dining room is L-Shaped with plastic booths. I walked over frmo the Doubletree for lunch and they had a pretty steady stream of take-out and dine-in customers. Great value, pretty good food and the cool mix of tacos and pizza. That's a winner in my book any day.

The gal that sprayed me was very professional and friendly. I was definitely pleased with the outcome. Although I wish I didn't have to wait 10 hours before I could shower! ;)
The Glow Lounge is such an amazing place for a heated, airbrushed spray tan. The owner is professional, intelligent, and accomodating. The product and application is flawless. I honestly looked 15 years younger, and my skin feels terrific! Thank you Mollie;)).
I would consider myself quite the expert when it comes to sunless tanning. I have fair skin, hence have tried it ALL; spray, lotions, mystic, versa spa, manual airbrush, etc. I found The Glow Lounge on theknot.com when I was searching for the best airbrush tan for my upcoming wedding. Believe me when I say...THIS IS THE BEST. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Small and quaint studio located off of France Ave. These tans are worth every penny. Missy does an amazing job! I purchased the "Blushing Bride" package which includes 2 tans. They have a ton of options allowing you to really customize what you need/want. They even allow you to come in the week of your wedding for any touch-ups that may be needed! This is the place to go. Don't bother wasting your time searching for another. This is it.

Nakamori Japanese Bistro

Reviews:
Fake Japanese Restaurant! Food I lived in NYC for years and enjoyed the city's diversity. Among all the cuisines, I found I love Japanese the most! So when I checked out this restaurant's menu online, I was thrilled! They are claiming to some famous dishes same as the most popular celebrity Japanese restaurant in the states -- nobu! Tried their tuna sashimi salad with so claimed famous nobu Matsuhisa dressing, not even close! The sushi quality is average. Just copying couple Nobu restaurant's nice pictures and dish names does NOT make you a Japanese restaurant! Just a fake J Japanese restaurant try to fool the rich people in Edina! Service It's a fake Japanese restaurant. The sushi chef does NOT speak Japanese, does NOT even speak English. The service was ok since I am the only two guests in the empty restaurant. I enjoyed the Japanese culture when you dine in a real Japanese restaurant, for example, I loved the gesture of showing generosity when the staff in ORIGAMI over pours the sake and makes it overflow. I really doubt my waitress understands any English other than the name of the dishes! Atmosphere Not the place for a nice sushi dinning! This place is pretty tiny, the sushi bar takes up almost half of their spaces. Price This place is overpriced for fake Japanese food. The average price is high! This is NOT the place for "high price, high quality Japanese food", neither the place for "low price and all you can eat sushi"! It's pretty awkward for some crappy Japanese food with high price tag!
Best sushi and hibachi grill in the Twin Cities! The food was phenomenal. I would certainly recommend no 9 roll and the nakamori roll and hibachi steak and chicken were great too! It was so good our 2 and 3 year olds loved it! We also really liked the tempura banana and tempura green tea ice cream. Service was fantastic! Ambience was great! Parking was easy and close unlike many other good sushi hibachi restaurants in the area.
Great food and service. It may not be "authentic" Japanese, but this is Minnesota. 90% of any ethnic food here is nowhere near authentic. That being said, presentation was awesome and the rolls.... Delicious! Definitely will be back.

First things first, this is NOT the best pizza you will ever eat. Before going vegan, we were both pizzavores, but look at the price. (For the record, we weren't Punch fans. Shocker, I know.) I don't really know why they have so many to-go boxes out, because, unless you're seriously dieting, it's a personal pizza with a thinner-than-frozen crust. But for what it is -nouveau fast food- it's awesome. We are both vegan and EVERY experience at this PizzaRev has been AMAZING about cross-contamination. The food prep counter is always clean (or in the process of being cleaned), the employees put fresh gloves on, and people who have touched meat have noticed us not getting cheese and let someone else throw the veggies on for us, meat juice free. Even if you order a hundred vegetable toppings (we do.) no one is weird or meager about portions, and I'm assuming it's the same with meat and cheese. Just ask for extra if you want more? It's all the same price... The manager dude is almost always there when we visit, and everything is better when he is. Although it's somewhat awkward being immediately recognized as the "no-cheese-people," you can tell he really cares about the products being put out, and the shape his restaurant is in. Pizza Rev should be happy to have someone like him running this place. Tip: They offer a punch card which you can fill up pretty fast, but the best deal of all is the the pizza + A FULL CAN OF SURLY (or glass of any beer, wine, etc) for TEN BUCKS. Still counts as a punch on your card, too ;)
We've been to several of these kinds of "subway of pizza" places that are popping up around the cities. Our favorite is the Pizza Studio in the Mall of America. The crust there is great, by the way. I felt like the pizza was pretty good, but the amount of toppings wasn't proportional to what I paid for the pizza. I feel like there should have been a little more sausage on it. Over all it was decent, but I don't think we'd bother going back. If we're up that way, Jason's Deli is a better option.
It's build your own pizza, like subway or chipotle, says the employee behind the counter, and the man was right. Novel concept but what are you really hoping for? It is like subway. It lacks true flavor while giving you Unlimited choices for $7.95. If you want pizza go right ahead. If you enjoy pizza, eat at Punch.

Chocolate Babka! As in Seinfeld. As in addictively good. I am not talented or motivated enough to make my own so I will be coming back here for more.
After enjoying a line of coke, you likely have seen (in movies or life), the participant collecting remaining powder on a finger and rubbing it on their gums..... After eating a piece of Breadsmith's cinnamon bun, I did the same with the remaining sticky goodness on my finger (Yes, it was from the cinnamon bun) Oh, their normal bread is damn addictive too.
Chocolate babka was just ok. I guess for dairy free, it's as good as it gets. I was hoping for the Zabar's version. I sampled the lavash and it was very good.

When I heard Tin Fish was at Braemar I got so excited. I am at Calhoun weekly and can't deal with the lines. Went here for lunch thinking this is too good to be true. It wasn't! Ordered my favorite calamari tacos and the sweet potato fries. Tacos were as good as always. Never had the fries before and they could be the top five sweet potato fries ever. I work a mile from here and I now have a new favorite lunch spot. YAHOO!

This place is great we came here on a Saturday night and surprisingly we were seated within 10 minutes. Our server was attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty, I had the fish sandwich with a basket of fries mmmm so good.
I like the burgers and malts. Fun malt shop atmosphere. The service is so-so, but I've definitely had worse. The malts are really good.
