Outstanding pizza. The best meatball sandwich around, made on their homemade sweet bread. A few spots to sit, but takeout is best. Often times there's a line for the register, even if you call ahead.

Great staff and great food! Everything I have eaten here has been excellent.

Their sandwiches are made with yummy sweet bread. The 16" sandwiches easily feed 2! Pizza is very good.

Trio for 2 was a good deal. It included salads, cheesy bread, alfredo, ravioli and lasagna. Originally they said they didn't have alfredo but they could substitute meat sauce. However, they did end up being able to make alfredo. A noon opening on a Saturday seems kind of late and one of the store hour signs was missing a 1 so it looked like it opened at 2. We got there about 10 minutes before it opened. So did another guy but he didn't end up waiting. I had to use the remaining value on my groupon so we got an order of wings with wrath of fire sauce. Just enough spice so it wasn't overwhelming. Was looking for a bathroom to wash my hands but ended up using the hand sanitizer by the beverage dispenser. Portions were generous. Going to have to try the other location to compare.

It's been a few months since I've eaten here but I couldn't pass up the groupon. $13 for $25 with of food. This is a small family restaurant that has been here for years! It's soooo delicious. I ordered their family feast which used to come with a bucket of spaghetti but now comes in a foil pan. They've changed their menu up a little bit since I've eaten here. The family feast comes with spaghetti, garlic bread, gondola sandwich (tastes amazing hot) and a 2 liter of soda. This will fill up 4 very hungry people. There's plenty of food for the price is $24. I love their homemade meat sauce sooo delicious! Their bread is amazing! A hit of sweetness. They use the same bread for their garlic bread and for their sandwiches. The only thing I do not like is the noodles. They've seem to get a little cheap with their noodles. They used to have regular spaghetti noodles and now it seems like they've switched to angel hair pasta...not my favorite but still delicious. They staff is very friendly they had my to go order ready when I arrived and were welcoming. They've always been this way which is why I love this place. The restaurant has dining inside but I've always done carry out. It only has a few booths and it's tiny but cozy.

Great food. Horrible service. One of the problems with hiring teenagers is lack of experience handling customer service issues. Recently had an issue with a "to go" order, and when I called to get it remedied, I was told I "ordered it wrong" two out of three items were incorrect. Total lack of tact handling the issue equates to losing my business.

I gotta be honest with you, this restaurant has an extensive menu that I have never tried. I can't bring myself to get anything but the Gondola Sandwich when I go to this place, and with good reason. Sweet Italian bread, meat, cheese, lettuce-- this feast beats Subway any day for a scrumptious sandwich that is filling and affordable. For the average appetite, a half sandwich is PLENTY, but for the addict, check them out on their special days, when you can get three subs for the price of two! Give the sandwich a go, and you'll see, it is worth the five stars.

They know their niche: cheap, good & fast. And they do one thing exceptionally well: bread. Is there better garlic bread in the West Metro? We come here for a quick, tasty meal: running to the kids games, family needs a quick meal, etc. and are never disappointed. The meals are big enough to share and there is something for everyone --- but they do American Red Sauce Italian the best.

Damn it, I love this place. I don't come here expecting fine dining, or even authentic Italian. So with that in mind, this place rules. Its a tiny little hole in the wall shop, which adds to the kitchey charm of it. They have a killer deal on All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti, but I have found myself craving their House Special pasta dish. Mmm, so good. Garlic bread is soft and buttery. They have a big menu, complete with pizza and sandwiches, but I vote for anything in their red sauce. Yum.

I've eaten here several times. A few takeout a few dine in. But after a late June dinner when the sun stays up longer it was easy to see the real cleanliness of this place. Or the lack thereof. The dining room is filthy with tons of huge spiderwebs still occupied by their inhabitants. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like.

If your looking for a nice dine in, I wouldn't recommend this place. You have to seat yourself AND you have to go to the front counter to tell them what you want to order. Nobody checks up on you nor do they refill your drinks. You have to manually do it yourself, using their drink machine. Me and my husband order lasagna , and ravioli and they used the same tomato sauce for both dishes. Plus they didn't do a good job at draining my ravioli because it was still wet from when they took it out. Another thing about their tomato sauce they used, it felt warm! It was not even hot, in about a minute or two, the tomato sauce was room temperature.

If your looking for a sweet taste of deliciousness and pasta look no farther! It's a cute little divey restaurant... So if your looking for low key, and affordable with home made taste this place was hand crafted for you!

My unquestioned, never failing go to when I'm craving Italian and don't feel like some over priced joke of a dish that doesn't fill me up. I have had everything on the menu at least a dozen times now and NOTHING is bad. Their lasagna is perfectly done, every single time. Great cheeses, perfect red sauce to go with it and the meats have just the right amount of salty spice to pull it together. The one time they messed an order up, I got cheese ravioli instead of beef, the owner personally came out and apologized and covered the meal - then brought out the correct order. I couldn't have been happier (the inner carnivore was dying when I didn't get the meat ravioli). It's that personal touch from the owner that sealed the place as a go to. And with the groupon that frequently pops up, you can't go wrong with this place. Do yourself a favor and make sure to save room for dessert. Trust me, it's tough, but, you have to. The cannolis are incredible. I mean ridiculously good. Perfect cream filling and a perfect crunch to the outside. A solid Tiramisu with just that perfect hint of coffee-cream to it. Hats off to the staff and chow here.

I have gone to the Crystal location for many years. I always take my order to go, but there is a surprising amount of seating available if you chose to eat in. Yesterday the outdoor temperature was very warm and the interior temperature wasn't much cooler. I tend to like going in on Monday's to enjoy the special on 16" Gondola's, which are 3 for $17. I like the sweeter taste of the bread they use. The sandwiches are very good, as well as all of the pasta dishes I have tried. The red sauce is the red sauce and the white sauce is the white sauce. There are potholes in the parking lot and its appearance hasn't changed much over the past 15 or 20 years. If you are looking for an alternative place to try a sub sandwich, I think this is a very solid option. If you are expecting a gourmet dining experience, this isn't really a great option. If you want to try food at a good family run shop, this could be the place to go.

I also got the $13 for $25 coupon with Groupon and it was my first time there. My friend and I ordered the Trio for two (lasagna, beef ravioli, penne alfredo), cannolis, cinnamon bread and of course the cheese garlic bread that comes with the trio. This was A LOT OF FOOD! Our entire table was filled and it came up to $24 and some change. We could've easily fed at least 4 people. The lasagna was really good and the cheese bread OMG! DELICIOUS. Was sweet and cheesy and garlicy yum! Cannolis and the cinnamon bread were sugary goodness. I definitely want to go back there again. I recommend this place absolutely!

The best italian bread on the planet....nuff said. Seriously though...get the bucket of ravioli or spaghetti and a 16 inch loaf of their bread, and just try dipping the bread in the sauce just one time. You will end up eating that whole 16 inches of bread yourself if you have an addictive personality. It's soooooo good. I used to go here when I was a kid after a soccer game or hockey game or practice. The whole team would come in and we would chow down! The family that own's it now seems really cool. That dude that works the counter is the best. Always friendly and looking to have a chat or a joke. Ummm..the bread.

I love this place. It's a little restaurant that doesn't even have a bathroom for the cutstomers... However, I asked and was able to use the one in the basement for employees. The food is delicious. I usually order the spaghetti with garlic bread, and keep coming back for more. Food is abundant and cheap. One of the best kept secrets in town.

  • Bryan R.

The food here is just awesome! I'm in town from Chicago and love to find little local joints to chow down. This was a diamond. It's hard to believe when you drive up and see it, then order from a window and take a seat, but the people were great and the sauce was just amazing. On top of that the daily special is all-you-can-eat spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, garlic bread, and a salad for only $6.95! You have to try it!

Honestly we should ship this place over to Africa so the starving kids can have some, and can afford it. This little hole in the wall is on 42nd Ave. and my family has gotten their delicious spaghetti and honey bread...I am seriously salivating while thinking about it right now for like $20...that's for 4 people with some left over. They also have all you can eat spaghetti, bread and salad for $7.50 all the time. The only complaint is the service isn't the greatest, but it is easily overlooked by the quality and price of their food.

I was unfortunately very disappointed after ordering the Trio for Two as my first meal experience at Sweet Taste of Italy. I had read mixed Yelp reviews but wanted to make my own decision based on experience. When I arrived to pick up my food another customer had returned to request that her incorrect order be corrected (she was given wrong items and was missing some) but the kitchen staff persisted to argue with her- very unprofessional and uncomfortable for other customers. My order was correct but my lasagna was very cold in the middle are barely warm at all on the edges. The sweet bread had been wrapped in foul for too long and was soggy. The food was fairly unremarkable in flavors as well. I don't think I will be giving them a second go at this point.

Great service. Decent prices. It's scandinavian italian fare. everything is sweeter, hence the name. The spaghetti is just like the kind they served in school lunches in Minneapolis in the 1970's. It's good if you don't mind added sweetness, and I would go here over Noodles and Co. anyday. Good solid cheap eats if all you can eat school lunch style spaghetti is your bag.

I have been going here for years and have followed the restaurant through several ownership changes. They have remained good through the changes. They are friendly have a nice selection of Italian dishes and a fantastic red sauce for their pasta dishes. My favorite is their ravioli but I have had the spaghetti, mostoccioli, lasagna and their pizza as well. All are very good and worth a return trip. The only thing that I have had their which I am not a fan is their homemade dressings for their salads. I find them to be a little weak and the Caesar to not be creamy enough. The dining room is small and most people do carry out orders and they do deliver. If you are looking for a good deal check out their all you can eat in specials.

Awful experience. I just ordered online. When I arrived at the store, I told the girl at the counter "I'm here to pick up an online Pizza order." She they fiddled around and said "Sorry our computer is off today." She never said I'm sorry. She never said Can I make that for you? She said nothing as she sat there with a stupid look on her face. Huge loss Sweet Taste, I just moved to the neighborhood and would have been a great customer. I understand mistakes, but not horrible customer service on top of it. I wish I could have given 0 Stars as I never got any food, had awful customer service, and wasted my time and gas driving to the restaurant.

We have eaten here a number of times and never had a bad experience. We usually get the Jumbo Worx pizza and the thin crust is amazing. I saw a previous post that stated that the pizza was greasy; that is definitely not our experience after ordering pizza at least 4 times. The garlic bread is good, it is sweeter than most garlic breads and that may take you by surprise the first time you taste it, but it is really good! Also the "Carry Out Specials" are a great bargain if you are feeding a lot of people. Yes. The décor is a little quirky, I wonder why they don't just get the crap out of the way and have a clutter free area while waiting for your food? The price is good, the food is great and it's always ready when they say it will be.

My wife and I had a $25 Groupon to get some lunch. This place is small! There are about 8 booths around the corner from where you order. I ordered from a very nice lady who took our voucher no problem. I think there was only one cook in the back. I ordered the Philly Beef, 16 inch, which is basically 2 huge hoagies. My wife got a loaf of their famous Fresh Italian Sweet Bread, (2 of them, making sandwiches this weekend with it! Pulled chicken from the crock pot...Mouth watering...I digress.) She ordered a 6oz dipping meatless sauce, AMAZING! We ordered 2 tossed salads on the side with Caesar. A lot of food for $26 bucks with two sodas. Great value for yummy food. There was a rush of take out orders that showed up, so there was a 20 minute wait for our food, but they were both apologetic. Nice touch! The salads came out with packaged dressings and croutons, not the best presentation, but the fresh shredded mozzarella on top was a welcome addition. A solid value for $2.50 Then came the sandwich, tons of beef, it was huge, for $12 it was a meal for 2. Perfect size. The beef was thinly sliced, lovely sauteed peppers and onions. The bread was their sweet Italian. The little sweet flavor is like one step away from sourdough, but not too sour. Very nice. The cheese was liberally melted on top. I added some of the tomato dipping sauce. Amazing! My wife finished off a whole loaf of the sweet bread. She is a huge carbo freak, so she was in heaven, plus meatless dipping sauce made her as happy as a snail that missed the salt pile. She was smiling for a solid 20 minutes. She loved the sweet tinge of the fresh bread. The refillable pop was awesome as well. There were some drawbacks, It was a COLD Minneapolis day and their heater was not working or something. I was wearing my winter coat while eating, as well as my wife. NOT GOOD. When we left, I think it was turned on, but eating lunch in a winter coat is a bummer. Second, the bathroom was in a basement, where you had to go outside on a 10 degree day, around the corner and down into the restaurant bathroom. Other than these, it seems like an old family style joint, with great people running it. Again, I liked the apology for the wait. (See people in restaurants, it isn't tough.) I was going to give it 3 stars, but the food was really good, I wouldn't eat-in at the place again, but it looks like it is a really popular take-out place, which I would recommend over eating in. Looking forward to the leftovers.

I'm happy to have given this spot a second chance! The food was good, and they have obviously made some major improvements since the last time I was here (I used to live across the street and eat here a lot until some bad dinner and worse attitudes soured me on it severely). It's tiny but cute, and fairly quick and affordable. $4.50-$9 for subs, $10-$16 for pizzas and several lunch options under $10. I have always liked the sweet bread they use and can't resist their garlic bread or turkey torpedo sub because of it.

Hole in the wall is the perfect description of Sweet Taste of Italy. I had never been here before yesterday, but have driven by many times. The recent Groupon deal encouraged me to give it a go. I ordered the Mega Meal for takeout, and when I arrived to pick it up, I was almost knocked out with the wonderful aroma of fresh baked bread and home made tomato/garlic sauce. There was also a nice treat when checking in on Yelp - a free soda! Five minutes later I was out the door with an arm-load of bags. It smelled even better close up. The desire to kill the protein rich diet that I have been trying to maintain was overwhelming. I raced home to dig in with my family. The salad was the typical food service iceberg/shredded carrot/shredded red cabbage mix with packaged croutons and dressing. Nothing special, but not bad either - at least the lettuce mix was fresh and crunchy. I love sub sandwiches and the 16" Gondola was pretty good. There wasn't a thick layer of meat and cheese on it, but at 16" long, it's still a large amount of food. The bread was nice and soft with a very sweet flavor. My teenage son loved it, and thankfully left some for me and my wife. The garlic bread and cinnamon bread were also very good. Both were made with the same sweet bread that the Gondola sandwich was on. By the time we got to the spaghetti and meatballs, we were all pretty stuffed on bread... but that didn't stop us all from taking multiple helpings. I was impressed with the meatballs. Just enough spice to cut the flavor of all the sweet bread. The sauce was also fantastic - nice garlic flavor - but also quite sweet as well. The Mega Meal was slated as enough food for five people... I'd say five REALLY hungry people. All of the sweet bread and pasta resulted in a sublime carb coma. My young daughter and I spent a good three hours after the meal rubbing our full belly's and moaning "ooooh ... that was sooo good". So much for the protein diet. I should probably bulk up for the long Minnesota winter anyway.

Got mega deal to take out. It is Saturday night at the end of dinner time and they said 20 minutes. It is a very small place. I won't think you want to dine-in if you didn't have to.. After reading other yelpers reviews I set high expectation for them in the term quantity and quality. First quantity, the spaghetti is plenty but mostly are noodles and I think it is overcooked although my family think just fine. And the sauce hardly I see or taste any meat there. The gondola sandwich look big but kinda flat but tasty good, their sandwich bread is sweet. Salad fresh but the color is unappetizing because it mostly consist of pale romaine and iceberg lettuces.. The hit are garlic and cinnamon bread I don't except they add some cream almost like condensed milk on the top of their fresh baked cinnamon bread, their garlic bread is fresh and not too garlicky but buttery. Also good is their meatballs, they put some like peppercorn? to add kick to it. They are yummy. I give 4 stars because I like their taste of the food which is important to me, the other thing the front staff is friendly. But the looks of the food knock the star one off.

First of all you should know there are tables at the restaurant, however it is really best to get takeout. The portions are generous, the flavor is incredible, the food has been consistent - every time we have ordered the food has been great! At first we only tried their pizza - fantastic! Then we stopped by and they have a couple meal deal for a couple entree's, salads and breadsticks - great value - and we tried a couple pastas (which at first I was a bit nervous as I didn't have high expectations for the price and a small takeout place). I was blown away - the sauces were flavorful, the pasta was cooked perfectly and I will have them again. But my favorite sandwich by far is the Italian Supreme... If you haven't tried this place and you are reading this - you should do it. Just know this isn't the romantic dinner for two as you order at the counter and they will bring you your order to the table. This is a great place for - I don't feel like cooking and I want some great food for a very reasonable price. Or to impress even the pickiest of Italians... ;-).

The boyfriend and I went here for lunch on 3/9/13 because we had a Groupon. There were no cars in the parking lot and it smelled delicious in there. There were so many menu options and everything seemed delicious. We ordered the trio for two which included: meat ravioli, alredo, lasagna, and an order for cheese bread. We also ordered a Gondola sandwich to use all our Groupon money. When the food came out, we were in shock. It was an enormous amount of food for two people. We immediately boxed up the sandwich to eat it for leftovers. The cheese bread was like eight pieces which was a pleasant surprise. It could have used a bit more marinara sauce for dipping, but there was plenty of sauce with the lasagna and ravioli. The alfredo was nothing special, but it was still alright. The ravioli was so yummy. The lasagna was my favorite part. It was just a really great flavor, a nice size, and was perfectly cooked. The next day for lunch, we at the Gondola sandwich. There was really nothing special about the sandwich. It was basically just meat with lettuce and cheese on bread. You could get that anywhere. But the hot foods were to die for. I'll definitely be back. My only real complaint was that it was dang cold in there! There are about eight tables/booths to sit in and we tried a couple but they were both equally cold. Long story short: inexpensive, delicious, low price. And most importantly, it's a mom and pop shop, so it's nice to help out the local businesses.

Now, here's a place I visited based on Yelp reviews...I've always drove past it, but never went in...well, until I found it on Yelp. Wow! I ordered spaghetti dinner for one on a snowy night on my way home from work and it lasted for four good meals. It came with the most delicious sweet garlic bread. I ordered a dessert, the cannoli, which was pretty good, too. The restaurant is run by a family - it's a super friendly mom and pop place. Super fast, delicious, and at a good price and it lasted me 4 meals...it's a great deal...what can I say? I'll be back!

I want to love this place because it's so affordable (they always have promotions, groupons, etc), and so close to my house but every time I've eaten here I've been completely underwhelmed. Service: The staff is very nice, and service has always been prompt and efficient. Food: It's just not that great. Everything is very greasy, the sauce, the noodles, the bread, the pizza. The sauce is way too sweet for me personally. It becomes uncomfortable to eat by the middle of your meal. The pizza is ok, it's a legitimate thin crust and they cook it perfectly but it's way too greasy. There's literally a thin layer of oil on everything I've ever gotten there. There is also no beer/wine served at this location. Ambiance: It has it's own charm. There's not a lot of room to sit as most of their business is take out but you could go in and grab a sandwich and watch some TV and be comfortable. I'll eat here occasionally because of it's proximity to where I live but I won't make any special trips.

This is one of the few Italian restaurants that actually serves italian desserts! A meal for two under $20 is a pretty sweet deal. However, I really feel that the food could have been seasoned better. The alfredo sauce tasted like it came from a jar. More oregano, more garlic, please!

I have driven by this place a bunch of times, but hadn't tried it. They were offering a Groupon, which gave me the kick to try it. I did takeout. While it took a little longer than the promised 20 minutes, service was very polite and helpful. Food was a mixed bag. The Penne Alfredo (I added chicken) and the Lasagne were quite tasty--nothing unusual, but good solid versions. The Spaghetti and meatballs and beef ravioli were ok--decent sauce, but the beef in both were not seasoned to my liking (not sure I can really put my finger on that--let's just say I've had a lot better). Salad was just iceberg with cheese, although I wasn't really expecting anything more, so that was fine. The garlic bread and cheese bread were meh--they tasted ok, but were a little too chewy. They might be better if eaten in the restaurant; I wouln't order them again for takeout. The cheese bread was just the garlic bread with melted slices of (I think) provolone; it didn't have that delicious broiled-taste taht I want from this kind of bread. Portions were a good size--not huge, but manageable. We got four entrees for two people (to get ebnough to make the groupon worth it), two salads, garlic bread and cheese bread. We were both quite full (and we're big eaters), with enough left over for three lunches. While I'm not rushing to try this place again, I might. I would like to try the pizza.

We came here with high expectations based on previous reviews. We weren't disappointed but the food was just alright. The place is in an obscure spot just outside of Minneapolis but friendly service. The place is so small that from the outside it is hard to believe there is seating inside, but there is a cute little area that can seat about 20 people. Luke had the lasagna with garlic bread. We thought because it was taking so long that the lasagna was made fresh, but that would sort of be ridiculous. It was homemade for sure, it was just heated up some other way. The garlic bread was really interesting and delicious. You can definitely tell it is homemade! I had the pizza sub with onions and peppers. I guess i didn't really know what to expect, and when it came out i had to eat it with a fork. I was thinking more of a hot, melty sandwich, but it was still decent nonetheless. The name of the establishment is "Sweet Taste of Italy" and it is definitely that. The bread and sauce were a little sweet for my taste, but I can see why many other people would like it. We probably won't be back just because it is out of our way. If we lived in the area though we would definitely take advantage of the good deals they have!

The food is pretty straightforward Italian, most of it slathered in a red meat sauce. The prices are great, so for about $30 we can get enough food to feed my husband and I for dinner with leftovers for lunch the next day. The service is always fast when we go, so don't worry if there's a line when you get there; it will move fast.

This is a great original location, family run and operated business. (They also have a location in Brooklyn Center.) The daily dine in special is only $6.95 for all you can eat Spaghetti!!! They also have an awesome Lasagna for about 7 bucks!!! The Bread is worth the trip all by itself !!! The Sauce is wonderful. I do not know about their Pizza or Sandwiches but I will try them someday I am sure. OK...The food is great, The Prices are cheap, here is the bad part... The Parking lot is not lit so watch your step. The restaurant was a little cool, it was -2 out, but still. They have no rest rooms. I don't go to restaurants to use the rest room so, not a big deal for me. I go to two Italian restaurants in Minneapolis, Maggiano's Little Italy and Sweet Taste of Italy. Maggiano's Little Italy is the best in the Twin Cities by far, but for the everyday dining experience it is a little pricey for my budget. The Sweet Taste of Italy for convenience, price and near my home, is where I go.

This hole in the wall restaurant is amazing. Great Italian food and very reasonable prices. Even with the low pricing you get lots of food, you will not leave hungry. There is a big variety of food and the garlic bread is tremendous. I have eaten here for many years and keep coming back. Very happy they opened a second location in Brooklyn Park.

Went to the Crystal location twice now and have had great food. My last visit I got the House Special which had a layer of noodles then cheese then came a whole lot of toppings green peppers, onions, mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni, its was amazing. The garlic bread is probably the best I had anywhere and the salad is iceberg but the french dressing is so good. Got the turkey sandwich to go and it was awesome with the honey mustard dressing they put on it.

i tried the one off noble so i don't know if their recipes differ. there's a reason why it's called "Sweet" taste of Italy. their food is definitely too sweet for my taste buds as well as my dining partner. we were intrigued by the prices so we had to check it out. prices are low, portions are generous, and the all you can eat: too sweet to handle eating anymore

This one of those best kept secrets in the Twin Cities. They have the absolute best sweet garlic bread - Its like a party in my mouth! I haven't found anything in the area that even compares with this awesome bread. The prices are very reasonable and the food has that home-cooking taste. I'm a big fan of the lasagna and the sweet cinnamon bread. You just have to try this place - you won't be disappointed.

Amazing little family Italian restaurant - you have to try it. First, the place is practically dirt cheap - $6.95 for salad, practically a whole loaf of incredible garlic bread, and spaghetti. The house french is on a par with Cosetta's in St. Paul for quality (not quite as spicy). I'd go back just for the dressing. The red meat sauce is excellent. Downers- the spaghetti noodles were wet which detracted from the sauce and the place was about 50 degrees. Please folks, turn on the heat!!! My friend and I saw the gondola sandwich and it was about the size used in Venice! It looked great. We talked with the manager and she said that the restaurant is about 35% of the business - the rest catering. With the price and quality of this place you should run down there. It can't be beat. (Bring a coat, and gloves).

Great take out. Exactly what you want it to be. Helps that it's very close to my house, and that they have takeout.

I stopped in to Sweet Taste of Italy for the first time yesterday and I love it. I put off trying this place for years because someone once told me it was "Americanized Italian" and so I assumed it must not be very good. What a fool I was! I am so glad I finally tried it for myself. Delicious spaghetti, great prices, and friendly employees. I ordered the "Big Deal" take-out special which came with a large salad and dressing, a huge pan of spaghetti and meat sauce, four meatballs, and four pieces of the best french bread I ever had. My daughter and I ate until we were stuffed and there was still plenty left for the next day. All in all I found this shabby little spaghetti shack a more enjoyable experience than some of the fanciest candlelit noodle rooms.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
