This place is great! Definetly the best pool hall i have been to. 64 beautiful slate tables with a great setup. This place has everything, a pro shop, video games, and even the lottery. The staff is great, nice, and knowledable. The full bar is nice, serving great deals to keep everyone happy. The food is pretty much standard munchable bar food . The pool is a little pricey but worth it. Go here for a great experience!

Great place! Lots of tables, great food, and they take care of the tables. Clean place, good atmosphere! Didn't try the food, but saw several folks wolfing it down.

I went to shooters for the first time this past weekend and I must say I'm a fan. The atmosphere is great, the prices are decent, and it's pool so everyone always has a good time!! I went with a group of about 15 people and there was no wait, and no problems. I believe it was around 4-5$ an hour to play unlimited pool, the beer selection wasn't huge but if I wanted a great selection I'd go to the bar across the street. I'd say this place is best if you're looking for an activity for a group or even a couple that is fairly inexpensive and alot of fun!!

Another in my list of pool halls with pizza. Shooters really stands above the rest of the "pool joints" in the Twin Cities. They have expertly maintained tables and plenty of them. I can't say that I've ever had to wait for a table and I've been going for years. In this review though, I'd like to talk food. Mostly because their food is always well above what you would expect. Soups - They make their own soups. I'm not a chili person so I can't speak to it but the rest of the selection is quite good. I always go for their chicken & wild rice if it's available. Chicken - They have a variety of American food made out of chicken and it's far and away the best set of choices on the menu. Last time in I had the grilled teriyaki chicken sandwich and it was fantastic. A real chicken breast, split in half and grilled. It came out juicy and flavorful. The chicken wraps tend to be quality and the wings are rock solid if you are looking to get messy. It's a good place to go play a little pool (regardless of your ability) and have a bite to eat. You get your own table so you won't have to worry about some "shark" bugging you for a game. Play along at your pace and have fun.

Shooters in theory could be a really great place to hang out. However, our first time there I would say we were less than impressed. The burgers were burnt, the roast beef sandwich was incredibly under stuffed and the sandwich itself was very thin and underwhelming. The waitress, upon smelling my wife's perfume replied, "I like your perfume, it's like an orgasm in my mouth (what?)." She proceeded to refuse getting us a pitcher of beer (twice) insisting we wanted individual beers because it was cheaper. If it's cheaper, great. Give me the option, don't tell me what I want. The cheese fries were really good, but before we ordered dinner, the waitress took our menus. She apparently assumed we were only eating fries (3 of us) and drinking one round of beers, because after the first round, our glasses went dry until we got our bill. After I told her we were going to order dinner, she dropped (literally) a single menu in front of my wife and walked away. We got our dinner (thin and sickly looking roast beef sub and char-burnt jalapeño burger) and without asking whether we had everything we needed, she just walked away. Another waitress, apparently noting how poorly we were being tested, came over and brought us napkins and silverware, since we had none. Honestly, it was an incredibly strange experience. I'm not sure if this girl thought this was good waitressing or not...but we were one good basket of cheese fries away from walking out. We paid and decided to play a game or two of pool. It turns out, you don't pay for your pool games up front, nor do they give you play options. We said we wanted to play pool. He gave us some balls and off we went. To out dismay, we had the same waitress who brought us one round of beers in the hour we played pool together. We went back up to the billiard checkout and found out we could have paid per game (a few bucks), but instead, the guy assumed we wanted more games and automatically billed us for $6 worth (many games). We paid, but were incredibly unhappy that the staff was so presumptuous and rude. I would have voted this location as one star, had it not been for the waitress who noticed we had no napkins or silverware and brought us some. Alas, I don't think we will be going back. $65 for two underwhelming meals (we didn't eat more than half of either) 4 cheap beers and two games of pool with a side of terrible service...I think I'll pass, if for no other reason than because I can get a better burger and service at Burger King for 1/4 the price.

This was my first time here and was impressed by the size. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and there were plenty of open tables. Staff was very nice and accommodating, servers were on point with checking in without being overbearing. I could see where service may struggle if the place gets fuller, but we had no problems. Good drink specials...A Sierra Nevada Beer Camp for $3? Keep 'em coming! We played a few hours with a couple drinks each and spent around $27. Not bad, not great. Fun atmosphere.

Minneapolis-St. Paul does not have much to offer to pool players. There are no dedicated pool halls in the city proper, just a few bars which have one, two or three poorly-maintained, small-sized tables in cramped, impossible to play well in positions, and with crooked house sticks. The only place that approaches respectability is Rock Bottom Brewery on Hennepin downtown, where the three or four tables are at least decent. So, if you really like to play pool, you either must drive fifteen minutes north to Columbia Heights or Fridley, or twenty minutes south to Burnsville. I have not tried the northern places yet, but I doubt the five minutes saved will be worth it - Shooters is about as perfect a pool hall one could ever imagine. Sixty-four tables are spread out in orderly fashion (they assign you so that you are spaced out). Almost all are 9' (full-sized regulation) tables, all in great condition. A waitress comes frequently to take orders for food and drinks, all reasonably priced, and at the end you bring the balls back to the front desk and the food, drink, and pool are all automatically put on one check, payable with credit card. Many house sticks, all the gadgets you could imagine for holding your cue between turns and keeping score. The decor is what you would expect in a late-1980s-era strip-mall casino or bowling alley type of place - mesmerizingly ugly floral-patterned carpet, light wood and maroon vinyl seating, drop ceiling tiles - but, very clean - no bad smells, not too dark nor too bright. Music is decent, on the Saturday night I was there it was all 1980s, from pop hits like A-Ha and Billy Idol to locals the Replacements and Prince. Clientele is fairly diverse - not at all heavy on the rednecky crowd that it seems would be predominant at the northern pool halls. There were many people both young and old, white, asian, and latino, women and men on the Saturday night I was there. There is a populated smoking area in front with table and chairs; and a few doors down another large bar was packed with a live blues-rock band playing and an older crowd dancing and eating. Pool cost is around $5 per hour, per person. Less before 7 pm, where you can play all-day (until 7 pm) for $10/person. Monday is ladies night and females play free. They only have 1 or 2 macro beers on tap but they have about 30 types of cans and bottles including craft beer such as Surly Furious and Hell. For serious players, there is a pro shop which sells and works on cues, lockers for regulars to keep their cues, and two special roped-off tables with seating arranged around for, I assume, league or tournament games. They also have darts and some arcade games. Of course, I wish it was more centrally located, but it is worth the drive knowing that you can walk in and play pool in an ideal situation with no annoyances.

This is a great place. Pool hall is clean and food is great. The manager Angela is great and so friendly. Stop by if you get a chance.

Went here on a Saturday night with friends and we all bought drinks and food. We were there for a couple hours playing games and having a fun time. the owner himself came up to us and asked us to not loiter and that we needed to pay for things in order to be in the establishment. My friends and I were shocked at the owners attitude and demeanor. we decided to take our business else where....someplace where the owner wouldn't harass my friends and I.

This place is pretty great. I was surprised. So many tables, all seemed to be in real good condition. It was nice to be able to choose the size of your table too, I prefer playing on a 9', they have plenty. I also liked this place because it has food and beer, there surprisingly aren't many pool halls that have those things. Its great to go there with a friend or several, share a bucket of beers (only domestics) and grab some food, which was good! and they have tots! Only bad things I could say about this place are that their beer selection isn't too good, mainly the basic domestics, and I wish it wasn't all the way out in Burnsville. Still, the best overall place I have found around the twin cities for a pool night with a buddy.
