I kinda love IHOP. I can't say that I've ever had anything more than pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns but with that said, it is always consistent. I do love their pancakes- especially with the strawberries on top. Nom, nom! My girlies and I went there the other night only to discover that they were giving away free stacks of three pancakes for National Pancake Day. None of us took advantage but I thought it was nice. The service was, as it always seems to be, busy but satisfactory. They get drinks, bring the food pretty quickly and take care of the bill to get you in and out. Gotta say, I kinda love that. Now if I could just get my little girls to stop asking if we can go back to IHOP everyday...

Classic ihop breakfasts. Having the Berry Berry Brioche French Toast combo. Though ihop isn't viewed as a great food place, the breakfast is easy, inexpensive, and lots of choices. And not bad. The Burnsville location is always busy on the weekend. But the service, sad to say....just isn't there. The staff is always super nice but either they don't train well, don't have a good system in place, or are always understaffed. Also, they don't clean the tables, chairs, and floor very well, as we had to swipe them clean before we sat. We've only been to this location twice but both times it was 10 minutes before someone came by to say "hi" and bring coffee and take our order. The Bloomington location by MOA seems to have their act a bit better together. Sorry ihop....you're an old childhood favorite but not sure I'll be back too soon.

Not sure why I keep coming back, I think its because of the convenient location near my office. I've been to this location 4 times and 3 out of the 4 were not a pleasant experience with below par food. The 4th and most recent visit I played it safe with the pancakes and they were ok, but nothing to name your restaurant after. I think my problem is they mix pancake batter into the eggs and they taste awful here. Also, last time we ate here there was a dead fly in my girlfriends stack of pancakes (Gross). You can get a much better breakfast from a number of area restaurants including Ernie's or Maple Tree Cafe (or even Dennys or Perkins, although I can't say they are anything special).

Excellent food!! Bit pricey. But was worth it. Very likely to eat here again. Clean facility and friendly staff.

Why? Why do we go back each time? Do we enjoy torture generally, or just when it's served with butter and syrup? This IHOP location should have been closed a long time ago. The busiest day of the year is National Pancake Day when they give them away free...so, how do they keep their doors open the remainder of the calendar days?! Very loud music coming from the kitchen, food served at less than piping hot temperatures, and over-priced breakfasts that lost their overall glamour long ago. Too bad, so sad. American breakfasts are getting an overhaul and IHOP better get on board with quality, consistency, and marketing for a new generation or they will be left with only crumbs.

Coming here is just a headache. I don't usually go to I hop, but it happened to be the closest breakfast place at the time. They seldom have any good specials. Over stuffing myself with unlimited cooked flour smutherd in syurp is not my idea of a good breakfast, but it seems that is the only deal they ever have to offer. The coupons they give out are worthless because to save $5 off two meals you have to buy two beverages, in which the worlds smallest glass of orange juice cost $2.50? Rip off. Service is even more ridiculous. You get free refills with coffee, so server I expect you to swing by every so often to fill my mothers cup. Also when I ask for ketchup I somewhat expect that she would go grab it like, NOW? But, instead she disapeared, so I took a bottle from another table. Also, how cheap are you I hop when my mother can not share her unlimited pancake breakfast with her 1 year old grandson. How much could he possibly eat? Tacky. But thanks I hop, I now remember why I prefer Perkins and Denny's.

We go to IHOP a couple times a month. We have not had the problems others have mentioned. The only thing I agree with is that it has been a little loud in the past, but not lately. We have not had problems with the food. I am particular on how I get my eggs, and they do them right, basted soft. I do miss their blintzes they removed from the menu. That was my favorite. Kids eat free on Tuesday. Seniors have BOGO everyday between 2 and 5. Give them a try. I live in the area and personally have not heard any complaints from anyone. My only negative is that sometimes they seem a little understaffed, but that has not slowed down their service. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating to us. They are quite busy on Sunday's with the after church crowd.

Pretty crowded here on Labor Day when my friend and I drove back to Des Moines. Service was pretty decent and food was not bad. Serving size is a bit large for me. The crepes were not bad and chose to go with the chicken and spinach rather than strawberries. It was first time and actually it was okay. Can't say that I have a dying need to come back here, but if it came up, I wouldn't be against it.

The food here was fine. Absolutely the worst service I've ever had in a restaurant. Our server was terrible. She didn't bring silverware out when we got our food. We had to ask for it and when we did, she pretty much ignored us. After about a minute of sitting there with no food, I got up and asked another server for silverware. Her response was simply to yell back into the kitchen for our server. My mother-in-law ordered a diet coke and since our server was pretty much ignoring us, she sat there with an empty glass for probably fifteen minutes before our server was even near enough to request a refill. When she returned, she told us that the diet coke was out and that she would have to have something else to drink (she asked for water). When we received our bill, the soda was still charged and when we asked about being removed, but our request was denied. Will not return.

So-so food, TERRIBLE service. Kitchen staff plays Mexican radio station in too loud, long wait for service. Wife said "I haven't been to an IHOP in a long time." so we went in for lunch. Now she remembers why its been a long time. The one in Bloomington is much better.
