The Golden Wok is a small strip mall hole-in the wall Chinese Restaurant. They have all the standard Chinese menu options and provide good combination meals. For 8 bucks or so, you get your entree, rice, egg roll, wantons, and a can of soda. I have never had a bad meal here, so I keep going back. There are tables set up in the restaurant, however most people just use them to wait for there take-out, but in theory you could eat in here. So, if you can look past the "We Delivery" signs on their delivery cars, it is a good place to check out if you have an urge for some Chinese.

Order take-out and I was disappointed as food was bland and too greasy. The delivery was fast and they take online order but the food was not that good.

Hot and Sour soup is fantastic. Hunan shrimp has the nice jumbo shrimp you might like. Everything else is just OK.

NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! How is it possible to have a website ,where you can place your order online and then have to call an hour and 30 minutes later only for them to tell you that they never received the order. I also have proof of my order in an email confirmation from their website!!!WTF???This is the 2nd time this restaurant has the dropped the ball. My family and I are done!!!Don't have online ordering if your not gonna bother to actually follow through!!! Because of this, my six kids and husband will be eating dinner late.

Ordered my food an hour and a half ago and they had the nerve to keep telling me it was five minutes away every time I called to ask where it was. I finally had to cancel and order from a different Chinese place that it it to me in 20 min. I wish I could give this place a 0

Good food, fast delivery, and correct order. Dumplings are a must. Kung Pow Chicken is ok along with the fried rice.

Food always arrives very hot and the delivery person has always been very nice. The fried dumplings are very good. Our usual order is simple dishes and its consistently pretty good. Online ordering is nice, the website could use a little work though. The draw back is that it always takes about an hour for delivery even though we are pretty close.

We ordered our food a little after 8pm tonight. It did not reach our home until over and hour and half later. We live 15 minutes from the restaurant. After and hour went by, we called the store to find out why it was taking so long only to discover that the driver had car trouble. We understand that things like that can happen. A courtesy call to let us know that when it happened would have been appreciated and responsible. When our food did finally reach us it was cold and the sauce was coagulated. The main dish had seafood in it, so temperature is more than a little important. The egg rolls were soft and wet. It was inedible. When we spend on average 25 to 40 dollars on our meals ordered from this establishment, we expect to be able to actually eat the meal. We called and spoke to someone who claimed to be the manager to complain about the quality of our meal. He offered us three dollars off our next order. That didn't even come close to being a solution to the problem. Finally, he said that the driver would be by to pick up the order since we had not eaten any of it. Forty five minutes goes by and no driver had shown up. I called the store back, and there was no answer. It's now 10:26pm, and no one has shown up. I will be by their restaurant tomorrow to drop off the food that we could not eat. If I see that our order has been charged to our credit card, I will be contacting our bank to have it reversed as it should have been already. I am very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and good customer service demonstrated by Golden Wok tonight. We will not be ordering again.

There is a golden wok in Bloomington too and that location is definitely the better one. We were happy to know that there was a golden wok closer to home, but I was just not overly impressed with this location. This is a definite take out place, I do not recommend eating in. They have been around for a long time and apparently they had some awards hanging in the dining area, but those had to have been from at least a decade ago. I really think they need to invest a couple hundred dollars and paint the walls and clean their windows. Most times I'm not overly picky about the inside of places that tend to be outdated, but this location was just kind of icky. The food here was just okay. They always get thumbs up for your money's worth, but I felt the stuff we ordered lacked in flavor. Overall, I have a couple other places in the area that I would prefer and I don't think I'll be coming back here.

When I walked in , the first thing I saw was the dust. It was everywhere and inches thick. Also it looked like a run down place , dirty tables ( old furniture ) walls not painted you can see the black marks on it . And it smelled ! Hmm so would you want to eat in this place or from this place ? If their resturant is kept this way , how will their food taste ? Well I tried it and oh my nasty . Tasted old rice and meat. Meat is way too over cooker and they use alot of frozen stuff . Never again I go there .

This place had the food pre-cooked al when you walked in or ordered they just took it from a pot and dumped it in a container for you..... I got sweet m sour chicken for the wife and General Tso Chicken for me.... Wife and I both threw it up and hour after eating it... Not worth the stomach pain!

Pretty yucky. Most Chinese take out has at least a decent tasting beef or chicken entree. Tried both chicken with vegetables and beef with vegetables and both the meat And veggies were not very tasty. Lacking flavor and veggies didn't seem fresh. Fried rice was average. Also tried potstickers that were good, but for all the places around, there is much better to be found.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
