Giving 1 star is high... I got take out on night. I was over charged, and got wrong food and had food missing when I got home. After reading all the great reviews I thought it would be great, very dissatisfied.

I was here recently looking for good Egg Foo Young. When I walked in around 5pm on a Saturday, there was no one there. I was greeted by a nice middle-aged woman. I told her I was looking to order Egg Foo Young and maybe another dish. She told me that their Szechuan dish was quite popular so I ordered their Chicken Egg Foo Young, Szechuan Chicken and Beef, Tomato, Green Pepper Onion dishes to go. My bill came to just over $30.00. When I got home I found the Szechuan dish to be nothing special. It was not hot and important to note, I was not asked how hot I wanted it. The colors of the vegetables were pale, no vibrancy that would suggest "Fresh". My husband tried his beef dish and said there wasn't any flavor. I tried it and it was just ok, and the vegetables were cut very small. Again, nothing jumping out at you saying "I'm fresh". The Egg Foo Young was very disappointing. Heavy brown gravy which did not taste that good, the pancakes had green onions and bean sprouts and that it about it. I have been looking everywhere for the perfect Egg Foo Young made the traditional way with Napa cabbage, bean sprouts, green onions and mushrooms swimming in a gravy tasting of oyster sauce, onion and soy. If anyone knows of great Egg Foo Young, please send me a message to recommend.

I was really skeptical because the location is horrid. It's on a backroad away from a main freeway. As an Asian American, I find that I'm treated poorly in Asian restaurants. Owners and wait staff have the expectation that I am cheap and I have the expectation that their service will suck. As I entered, I noticed it was empty. I took it as a sign of despair. You know a good Asian restaurant if there are Asian diners. This place had no one. But of course, we came at a time between lunch a dinner. The owner was extremely nice. She was a cute middle-aged lady that reminds me of my mother on a good day. Turns out her sons are just a few years younger than me starting their freshmen year in college soon. The food took a bit longer than expected, but it turned out to be pretty good. The food was steaming hot (GF is a food scientist, she'll tell you cold food means bacteria), vegetables tasted fresh, and above all, the dishes were good. I'm not a picky eater, so my reviews are based on service and food in that order. The curry was fantastic smelling and tasting. The empty restaurant worked well for me, it was nice to sit there with my girlfriend and chat with no one around us. You can actually hear the chef preparing your food, a great sign that it isn't some microwaved crap. The menu is definitely aimed towards more American interpretations of Chinese food. The owners are definitely friendly and aren't going to treat you crappy. They seemed very sincere and nice. I found that even the fortune cookie had a great taste. I will definitely go back. I tend not to write reviews unless I feel strongly about a place!

I have eaten here many times. The food is excellent and the restaurant is very clean. My brother and his Chinese wife joined me here for dinner. They live in Shanghai and were skeptical, but became converts. They raved about the soups and entrees and ended up ordering a lot of food! This restaurant does a lively carry-out business and brings in large parties, but I have never had to wait for a table. I recommend the egg rolls and hot mustard, the beef-tomato-green peppers, and the special item shrimp and asparagus stir fry.

Very good service at a strange time of day (around 4 pm I think). Good traditional Chinese fare. Food was hot and freshly prepared. A bit heavy if any criticism.

Great service and food! Family owned business so it's nice, friendly, and cozy. Lunch buffet fills my stomach and keeps my wallet full. The owners are so friendly they're practically family! 5/5

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
