this is by far my favorite White castle on this end of town. They give you fresh burgers, just the way you like them, with out the wait. The soda machines are stocked, and the ketchup dispenser is never empty. Yum...

I've eaten the frozen version of sliders infrequently for years, and had to try freshly made ones since I was in an area where I could find some. I don't particularity like them as much as regular burgers, (seems like I just taste onions) so I had high hopes that these would be better. I arrived around lunchtime, and they were busy, assuring me that my sliders weren't sitting around. After about five minutes they called out my name to pick up the order. I selected the original slider combo (four sliders, fries and a Coke). They tasted exactly the same. I won't be back anytime soon for fresh or frozen.

We get cravings for either White Castle or Krystals (depending on the region we're in) and we'll drive any distance for a case or sack-full. Once we even drove a really long distance so that we could eat both at the same time to make a comparison (Krystals sliders and fries won btw). Typically, these places are in scary neighborhoods, aren't particularly clean, and have pretty rude employees. More than often, we'll just grab our food and go. However, the Bloomington location is clean and inviting. Plus, they have some extremely friendly and hard working employees. I forgot to write down her name, but Team Member #428 (from our receipt) was a Rockstar. She took orders, helped cook them, stacked the sliders (see picture) to prevent them from getting chilly, and then walked the floors talking to customers and making sure they enjoyed their meals. She was kind enough to even bring our table some extra napkins. We'll easily drive up to the Cities and visit this location when we get a craving.

Never been to a White Castle prior. This location is a typical fast food spot. Small. Sort of dirty. Yet at the same time, has that good ole crummy fast food feel that warms your heart. The employee taking orders seemed a bit angry. Not rude, not mean...just a general lack of happiness in his life. The other guy in the back was a little more chipper. Apparently this place serves chicken rings. Chicken rings! Brings me back to my elementary school cafeteria days. So I had to order them. I also got mozzarella sticks. The chicken rings were exactly how I remembered. Bland, sorta...ordinary, borderline flavorless....AND I LOVED IT! Mozzarella sticks were surprisingly good too. Little slider burgers get smashed into these tiny little boxes. Everything served in cute little boxes! Meal was fairly priced. I dig it. Not a top fast food choice, but reasonably solid. Why not?!

The only reason I am giving them 1star is the employees Went thru the drive thru and they were kind of rude. I was actually told no when I asked for cheese on the hamburgers we ordered. Then another voice said they were just kidding then another voice told me so and so (can't remember the persons name ) won't be taking my order any more. Then when I got to the window to pay and I was asked if I wanted to contribute to a charity. When I said no I got even more attitude and he even rolled his eyes Can't justify going back to this place to be treated like this.

I love White Castle!! But that's not why I'm writing this review. I ordered the wrong combo meal by mistake. When I got my order I realized my mistake and the manager quickly and happily corrected my order and at no additional charge. I forgot his name but Thank You.

There are, frankly, two reasons only that I drove out of my way, attempting to hunt one of these down before driving up to Minneapolis downtown. 1. I thought that Harold and Kumar go to White Castle was a total hoot... i was ROTF most of the movie (hard to believe that Kai Penn is with the Obama admin. now, eh?). So wanted to pay homage to the flick 2. My friend's boyfriend insisted that I just go, try it for the 'cultural experience' when I was visiting Chi-town last month, as it was in the Windy City that this chain started. I ran out of time, never got to go, and so making up for it. I bought one slider for 69 cents, just for the 'experience'. Feeling rather impish about my order, I shyly crawled up, and last minute, ordered an unsweetened iced tea because I felt so silly about an order less than $1. What do I say about a little 2.5 inch slider that is microwaved (if it isn't, then it certainly tastes as if it was). It had taste, yes, but why do I keep feeling that the frozen ones I have purchased in the past @ grocery markets tasted even better than these? Cult following.... cute. Minced onions are a nice touch on the very discolored square patty (shrinky dink Wendy's?). So I came, and I went...thinking, "holy cow, i've eaten fast food (which I'm not a big fan of)!". As a corollary, I then drove myself over to Penn Lake to walk it off.

Holy crap its the first White Castle Ive been too. After seeing Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, I could only imagine what those little burgers taste like. (all we have are the frozen ones and I'm sure those cant compare to what a fresh one tastes like.) So on 5/20/09 I had my first ever WC burger! They are good, small and tasty. I just thought it was odd that someone can down like 10 of them in 1 sitting. I had 2 and one of those bbq pork sliders (which are too very good) Though I will miss these little burgers when I go back home to CA :( Just maybe one day a White Castle will pop up in my neighborhood.

Okay...okay... I will admit I have a weakness for WCB, half a dozen to go, went to my niece's soccer game and killed them in twelve bites! Simple good! Always a favorite.

I'm sure most people would classify White Castle as drunk food or just for late-night. Not me. I went in around 4 p.m. the other day - stone-cold sober. I went there on purpose - not just because it was nearby. I sought it out. Like Harold and Kumar, I traveled far (from Maryland! Though not just for White Castle) to taste these scrumptious morsels. But really, what's not to love? Greasy, little sliders that taste mostly like onions and pickles (especially when you add extra pickles). Crinkle cut fries that aren't totally mushy. Quick service. Cheap prices. I grew up on these babies and they will always have a special place in my heart. I go back every chance I get.

I had never had a white castle that wasnt previously frozen since im from the southwest. Got word of a white castle being in the area while i was in Minnesota for business. Took a 8 mile drive and plowed through 10 burgers and an order of fries. I think i prefer Kystal burger over white castle but they are very similar. Was nice to just cross White Castle off my list.

Perfect cheap eats (although the prices are getting up there). Great for a late night post bar eats. They recently remodeled the restaurant; which is great as it was getting run down. It seems that the service has dropped off a little.

Lyndale@ Bloomington Newly rebuilt and more room inside for customers. Better staff in place to handle customers. Same old great food with better service and atmosphere.

Home of the 'Slyder', a classic. I never review mass marketed nationwide chain fast food joints but, I thought I would make an exception. This place is conveniently located just a few blocks away from my interstate on-ramp that takes me places. The classic little sandwiches of goodness and joy are served here 24x7 available from a drive-thru. Sometimes if I have a minute to kill I will stop in and order just one 'White Castle' just for the reactions. But, more recently I have been going for breakfast, if I have a tough night and long day ahead of me what's better than a 64oz jug of iced tea and 10 white castle's to start the day. I always toy with bringing a crave case to work for breakfast when we have people in from out of town. More recently I have been getting the breakfast sandwiches, a sausage patty, scrambled egg, with a slice of cheese on that classic White Castle bun, also served on toast, and it's actually pretty good. Our White Castle also has Slyders with a dab of A-1 available, I am not sure if I am a fan or not. The un-sweated iced tea is barely passable but, better than nothing. The cool thing here is the 64oz jug they have available and it is a 'jug' it's not going to fit in any drink holders.

First white castle visit. Food is cheap and fairly tasty. I guess it's as good as any other fast food chain.
