Went here a month ago. Had good service and great food. My parents never been here so we ordered more than we could finish. We had ordered the piña colada and Bahama mama virgin, and liked it very much. For apps: had the lobster pizza it is perfect every time. We also ordered the mussels in a white wine butter sauce. Sauce was good, dipped bread with it, but the mussels were over cooked. And of course their famous cheddar bay biscuits, yummy nice and crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. We all had Cesar salad which had too much dressing to our liking. We ordered steak and turf (lobster tail). The steak (ny) surprisingly good. Lobster tail was sweet. We also ordered a trio that had grilled salmon, lobster and shrimp which was okay. Lastly had the lobster linguine and that was tasty, the sauce was a lemon butter! No room left over for sweets!

Came here for some quality frozen seafood and microwaved sides. Love Love LOVE the Bisquik biscuits with shredded cheese mixed in. I think my favorite item on the menu is the baked potato. If possible make sure to get butter and sour cream on it. Avoid the cucumbers! #SalmonellaThings

Didn't get to eat (imagine it's like any other red lobster in the chain in terms of food), but the service was so terrible I ended up leaving ... and had to post a review. It took 20+ minutes to sit me in an almost empty restaurant. 19 of which the hostess (who saw me walk in and waiting) spent kidding around with a co-worker. Sat for another 10+ mins with no waiter, got frustrated and left...

Worst food ever! Lobster was salt-soaked and food was cold - manager seemed indifferent -run as fast as u can to any other dining establishment...

Well... we started off the evening sitting at the bar waiting for a table (normal) and the bartender was complaining about another employee and how he should get fired (not so normal, yet entertaining). The house merlot costs as much as a bottle of merlot (overpriced). Our server, Carrie, was awesome. Super nice and accommodating for my gluten free needs. The experience would have been better if I didn't have to sort through a 3 ring binder of janky paper to find what is and is not gluten free. The food was covered in butter, but I loved it and what is what I expected. If people expect to come to Red Lobster and not have their food covered in butter that is on them, they shouldn't complain, it's inevitable.

The quality of food has steadily progressed in a downward spiral at The Red Lobster overall. We had sworn off coming back here, but since we had been given a gift card, we had to go. I usually order the soup and salad. A long time ago, it was bottomless, and then they stopped that. I always had to ask for shrimp on my salad even though the menu says it comes with shrimp. Today I was told that the soup no longer comes in a bread bowl, even though the menu has a picture of the soup in a bread bowl. You can bet Red Lobster will be getting some feedback about that. Pretty soon you'll have to catch your own fish if they keep making cuts like this.

Shirmp linguini is delicious, but too many become boring. Crab is salty outside but inside is just nice. Service is just nice. Price a bit expensive.

This is a fancy restaurant...... If you look at the expensive prices! Haha sorry but I haven't been to a red lobster since I was little. When I was little it seemed like a big deal to go there but now it just is not that good especially for the price. We got there and waited at the bar because there was a wait. Apparently the bartender wasn't happy with her co-worker bc we got to hear her complain to her other co-worker about him...not ideal but whatever. Drinks were very expensive like $6 a drink, FYI we are not downtown... We then were seated. The highlight of the restaurant was def our waitress Carrie. Very nice very helpful. Well done Carrie! We ordered food, first was Caesar salad Cesar dressing soup with salad in it...then our seafood, lots of butter, some seafood, and a high price. Not ideal. Food was average at best. Overall poor food for the price. Drinks were overpriced. I'm not one to complain but the only thing good here is Carrie our waitress. Go butter heaven!

it's my first time going to red lobster near Minneapolis. I was suprised with the price difference like 5 bucks less on each dish from the different red lobsters in different city. Food is OK. Ambiance is Nice. Biscuits are awesome, warm and soft.

I find the other reviews that mention thinking Red Lobster was a fancy restaurant when they were a kid very interesting because I used to think that too. Is it just that we didn't know better or was it truly better at one time? I just went there today for the second time this year and only because I had to. The customer service and cheddar bay biscuits are really the only things that stand out. I had salad each time and both times the lettuce was old and wilted. Now it wasn't so old that it was inedible but if that was in my fridge, I would never consider serving it to other people. I would be too embarrassed. I had salad from Wendy's recently and their lettuce was way better than this. I realize it is just lettuce, but if that isn't even fresh...yikes.

Cheddar Biscuits! Sorry got distracted, as in some of my other reviews this is a chain, if you've been to one location you know what to expect from this one. I have not had a bad meal or mistake come from the kitchen. The food is as advertised. The Cheddar Biscuits are a shameful addiction of mine and the price is right if you just want to go out and have some shrimp. I've had most things on the menu and don't have any recommendations for anything to steer away from. Just order what sounds good to you, If not I've found asking the wait staff usually is beneficial as they can inform you of their favorites or even some modifications that may not be listed on the menu.

Terrible service. I sat there for 10 mins and not one of the servers cared to approach my table. I took my $ and my hungry belly somewhere else!

Red Lobster is not especially good but I like to go once in awhile during their Shrimpfest. The shrimp is a bit salty and not very flavorful (that is, the shrimp tastes more like butter or breading, not shrimp) but hey, sometimes it's fun to eat a ton of shrimp. This particular Red Lobster is fine. The staff is fairly friendly and the building seems clean and well-maintained. Service was a bit slow but we were there on a busy night so I don't hold that against them. Parking is ample.

Review on the new Habanero shrimp on the four course deal for $14 99. It has a great kick, made my nose run, but it was good. The four course is good but tell them not to bring the entree until you're ready. I never ate all my salad. I felt a little rushed. It was lunch, maybe she thought I was in a hurry. I wasn't. But overall great taste and of course cheese biscuits.

Love this Red Lobster. It's clean, the people are nice, and no one judges me for eating alone (I'm on a long-term project in Bloomington). Also, it doesn't have that aquarium Red Lobster smell. Bravo!

I don't understand why people eat here when you can have seafood that's more fresh and tastes way better for the same price at one of the local restaurants. I feel bad for lobsters in the tank, they don't even get to go out gracefully (as a delicious meal). Overall, if you've had any seafood besides filet-o-fish from McDonald's, you will be disappointed.

Disgusting! I threw up my meal in the parking lot and although it was a huge waste of $$$$ at least I felt better leaving it on the ground may have saved me a trip to the hospital.

I must say, Red Lobster is not a good chain. I really don't like paying extreme amounts for farm raised seafood that tastes like licking an aquarium. It just doesn't make sense to me. I've been to this location a couple times now, and it has never impressed me, in fact none of the Red Lobsters have impressed me. I should point out, though, I did find the one in Duluth to be good, but at the same time, that was before I was exposed to fresh, delicious seafood.. even Bubba Gumps.. that place is better! The best thing about this restaurant are the Cheddar Bay Biscuits.. Everything else is really not that good. I would not recommend this place to anyone, except those of you who have not ever had fresh shrimp or fish. I feel like you could live your whole life eating farm raised seafood, and that would be OK for most.. But until you've been exposed that is! Once you've had fresh, wild caught shrimp, it ruins the whole shrimp experience... take me word for it! I guess you cannot hate on a chain restaurant that doesn't serve fresh food.. it comes with the territory, it's just.. for the price, I feel, well.. I feel they should just slash all the prices and it would make up for some of the lackluster food and service you get here!

Went here for my sister's birthday and the service can be pretty sluggish depending on which waiter or waitress is assigned to your table. My sister ordered a daiquiri and it took over 10 minutes to come back from the bar. The calamari appetizer has deep fried vegetables with it which makes it seem like there's more of what you ordered when only about half of it is actually calamari. I ordered the Ultimate Surf and Turf. The lobster tail was just a little overcooked but not to the point of it being inedible. The waitress left the tray next to our table a few times so that she could pile dishes on it, which seems a little awkward. As always, though, the cheddar biscuits were the A+ part of the meal.

Our waitress Francie did not realize when she asked us if we were celebrating something special that she would have a family celebrating two big milestones that was causing big tears. She was amazing and made our special dinner even more special.

Go for "Live Maine Lobster" then you will never regret your visit if you like steamed lobster. Food awesome, service still awesome even though it's crowded.

My family and I had a wonderful time at red lobster. We were just there cause we didn't want to cook. There was only about a ten minute wait and we were seated within almost exactly ten minutes after we arrived. When we were seated we had a wonderful server named Jordan. He was very helpful and gave us very good recommendations (peach ice tea and crispy red potatoes). We ordered crab legs coconut shrimp (with very good piña colada sauce) Shrimp linguini Alfredo New England lobster kettle and the admirals feast. All of the above were delicious. We overall had a great experience.

Is it just me, or do the other reviews seem overly harsh? Yea, it's not a cheap meal, but properly cooked fish generally isn't. Will you pay less for the same quality of burger/chicken, of course, it's fish (think steak). Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's the best fish in town, but you'll probably end up paying even more for that. The meal starts with the amazing/addictive cheddar biscuits. Yes, they are salty and yes, I've probably eaten something like 5 of them in one sitting. I know there is probably no natural cheese in them, but thanks to the garlic salt, I'm OK with that. My order came with a salad, I went with a Caesar. The cheese is real and the romaine was fresh, but the dressing and crutons are manufactured. Come for the fish, not the salad. Tonight, I had the "market" salmon, which I ordered blackened. As usual, the fish was perfectly cooked. Truth be told, no matter how I feel about a paricular fish preperation here, it is always cooked to proper temperature. It had a nice herb crust, but was nice and moist. The salmon is clearly farmed, but the crust makes up for it. For the price, I don't expect wild. The mashed potatoes were tasty, as usual. Sadly, the broccoli was overcooked, as usual, as well, but nicely seasoned. I ordered the Apple Crostada for desert (I rarely have room for desert here). I would not encourage anybody to order this. The crust was soggy and the apples were overly sweet and reminiscent of canned pie filling. I've been here before, and I'll probably be back the next time I'm in mood to eat fish out.

Went for Fall 2014 Endless Shrimp promotion. The Darden Group recently sold Red Lobster to a new investment group who vowed improved food experience. First experience I noticed is endless shrimp price increased to 17.99 from last years 15.99 although the food choice quality slipped: Added Sirachi shrimp which is like the no longer available (but better) skewered shrimp with sirachi sauce squirted on it. Poor. They added another scampi selection -still have garlic scampi which is good. The new ones called Parmesan scampi which is a cheap way to knock out a more costly selection without dropping the number of selections. Hand breaded shrimp are still my favorite and served hot. The worst addition is coconut shrimp bites- breaded, tiny, tail-off no-doubt frozen and not fresh. Terrible piña colada dipping sauce accompanies and the shrimp was mushy, tiny and over breaded. Still have shrimp linguini which is good. Looked at broad menu and see a definite 5-10 percent across the board price hike from the new ownership group. Good Luck. Bottom line for us: We eat here 4 times per year only. They won't miss us likely. Not impressed with the lower quality of choices for the increased price point. The pricing increases justify looking at non chain seafood offerings in the area. Service was very good as is par for the Burnsville location.

Ten years ago I swore I'd never eat at Red Lobster again. I went back tonight as a favor to a friend only to find that it was even more disgusting than I remember. This place is just the worst.

Delicious crab and lobster! Great deal for lots of food. Sometimes the waitresses linger too long though. Very nice though!
