We are always on the look-out for greek/lebanese food in the Twin Cities, and a Groupon-type object brought this place into existence for us. We visited on a Saturday for lunch; I had the gyros and my husband had the Jerusalem plate. The meat was tender, perfectly spiced and delish tzatziki sauce. The Jerusalem plate (which is actually an appetizer) was perfect--a sampler plate full of gyros, hummus, rice, falafal and one or two other items. The falafal was perfectly done: crispy on the outside and seasoned on the inside. We will be back and we will both order the Jerusalem plate--really delicious. It was so tasty, that my 15-month son was all about this place. As soon as we can teach him to say, "Opa!" we will be back.

I love this place. Great mid-east food, small hard to find grocery section(they sell tahini sauce), olive bar, etc. Great menu, gotta try the hummus. Great Gyro's. Nice people. Ambiance, none really, good food, good prices.

My wife and I are always pleased with the food and service here. I always get gyros here and my wife would be a little more adventurous and get the philly cheese steak. She would share some with me and the taste was out of this world!!!! We also love the fries here, we never had fries as good as the seasoned fries here. I am a devoted fan of gyros grill!!!! Go here and enjoy yourself!!

I tried them because of Crowd Cut, while the food was really good - the guy was trying to yank me around saying me and my guest couldn't each use a coupon for our meals. Even if we sat at different tables. I told him and showed him the details and how it never mentioned anything like that - but he insisted. SO BE CAUTIOUS ABOUT COUPONS with them. We had ours made to go. While I'm a fan of the food, I'm not sure I'd go back just because of the experience.

Gyros are expensive and very mediocre. The rice was dry. For the price, this place is a total rip off. I went out to lunch with my friend and we each had a Groupon and were going to pay separately. The owner would not let each of us use our own Groupon, stating that only one could be used per party. Apparently if we had pretended not to know each other we each could have used out Groupon but since we knew each other only one of us could, Groupon debacle or not, this place was sub-par. A "skip" in my book.

I gave this place a try today and found it to be excellent. Gyros was outstanding, I had lamb. It was my first visit and I came here to try the gyros, but the menu is very interesting and I will be coming for future visits to check other things out. The guys that work there were pretty friendly and the vibe here was really inviting. Count me as a new fan.

The food was average or just a bit above average. Not a great value. The service (?) is not good. It reminded me of the old SNL/Belushi skit at the cheesburger/cheeseburger no coke - pepsi restaurant.

Small place but the food is good. You order and pay first at the counter and then they'll bring you your food. My wife has tried gyros from different places and this one tops it. The hummus is tasty unlike other places where it's too dry, too chunky or has no flavor. We tried their Turkish hot coffee and it was just the way I like it. The people are friendly and prices are reasonable.

Recently moved to about a block away from this place and being a big fan of gyro's, it was among the first places I tried. I will say, that it isn't the most appealing building or area, but those are the best places right? The food is excellent, as I've had both the gyro sandwich and gyro combination plate. The fries are average: thick cut, starchy and a little on the drier side, but I'm not gonna dock a Mediterranean place on American fries. For $2 more, forget the fries and get the plate, as you get a bunch more food, with way more meat, lots of rice and hummus, in addition to the pita, lettuce, tomato and tzitki sauce (which is great by the way). Employees and owners are very nice and polite, and I've been there about 7 or 8 times! Glad it's so close to my place! Will be back often.

The owner is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I usually get a combination plate with chicken kebab, falafel, and gyro meat. The hummus and hot sauce is out of this world!

Visited this place with colleagues/Friends for lunch. Place is very small but we can get the best Mediterranean food and they have good deals to choose with. Every one of us ordered a different item and everything tasted good and became heavy to our appetite. They have different kind of soft drinks to choose with including colas that you haven't heard of.

This review is for delivery that I get through Diningin.com . I always love me a good gyro, and this place does not disappoint. I always get the gyro special for a group, which costs about $26. You get a ton of gyro meat (1&1/2 lbs), and you get some pitas and all the gyro fixings. They are really generous with their portion sizes. I usually have enough gyro meat to make about ten gyros. I usually go to the store and get more pita, onion, and tomato for tall the extra meat I have. I, also, like to use my own tzatziki sauce. Theirs isn't bad, but I just like mine better.

Arrived on Monday at 6:05 and found they were closed. Double checked the website and they were supposed to be open until 8. Called and was told that they close early on Monday. I mentioned their website and was assured the website was correct because he does it himself. Well, it still says they are open until 8 pm. Customer service sucks!

I stopped her and grabbed some take out the other day. To tell you the truth without my crowd cut I would have never stopped in at a place like this. They have the end unit at a small outdated strip mall, but after I tried their food looks can be deceiving. I never have had felafel's, so for sure I got some to try and what can I say I am in love. The crunchiness and the mild flavor, they sure where tasty. I also got a grilled chicken gyro which was also great. I have never ordered food where they have given me so much meat that I wish I had more tomatoes and lettuce! You definitely get your moneys worth. The owners were friendly and food was made very quickly. I will be coming here more often.

Went here with a co-worker after we had been discussing Turkish food (his wife is from Turkey). We just searched for the closest place that we could get a gyro at and decided to give it a go. I see that other reviews have mentioned some customer service issues. We didn't experience any of that. The guy at the counter was friendly. The cook was just a bit slow, otherwise they seemed fine to me. The place was pretty easy to find, even if we did take the ridiculous side road back way. It's a small storefront in a small strip mall. Inside, they have a small grocery area and then they have the counter to order food. When we went in on a weekday at lunch time, there was only 1 other person in there eating. One man was working the counter and another was cooking. We both ordered Gyros. I got the combo that included fries and a soda as well. It took them a while to make the Gyros, even though there wasn't anyone else there. Maybe 10 minutes. Longer than I would have though. The fries I got were lukewarm and soggy. They had just been sitting in a warmer drawer. Not sure how long they had been there. The gyro was pretty solid. Good bread. Great seasoned meat. The tzaiki sauce was a little mild. Not as bold and flavorful as I would have like. But still sort of tame and tangy. Good sandwich overall. Would have given them another star if the fries would have been fresh. My co-worker who routinely eats this sort of food at home also gave the sandwich a thumbs-up. We'll probably stop back here again sometime for lunch, since Dino's off France in Edina is just a tad bit too far to reach for our lunch break.

Visited summer of 2010, can't believe I did not a review before. Gyros was absolutely wonderful. Great food, reasonably priced, and friendly service.Very conveniently located next to the MOA and hotels.

Great gyros & falafel! The gyro meat is thicker than most places. Delicious! You can get mid-eastern groceries here as well. I tried the yogurt soda, it reminded me of a salt lassi. The place is a bit of a dive so don't expect anything fancy.

I have passed by this piece of bad word strip mall 1,000 times over 17 years in the Twin Cities. I finally had a reason to head into it because I had an $8 voucher for Gyros Grille. I read reviews and had heard that the owner is a real bad word over people using their coupons. The place was nice enough, but when he saw I had a Crowd Cut, it was like I was a piece of bad word. Anyway, I ordered the Saturday special, which was like 8 bucks. He said "No go," you can't use a Groupon for that. "I was like seriously?" It's $4 dude, like I really want to bad word you out of $4. Then I started to look at the cool pictures of the Mediterranean food on the menu above the counter. I chose the kabob sandwich. (Chicken) He kept trying to push the $12 plate on me. Dude,if you don't want to treat Groupon customers like normal patrons, then don't offer them. I thought the reason for coupons was to try to get people in your establishment, not piss them off. Another complaint, my $8 sandwich was supposed to come with fries, (I looked up my order on the printed menu and it said sandwich with fries) My order did not come with fries, I would have thrown them away anyway because I don't eat fries normally, but it was the principle. He tried to save money because fries aren't on the picture above the counter. Another guy came in after me without a voucher and the owner was all Mr. Nice Guy with him, chatting him up and everything, like a normal proprietor should do. Strange. I brought the sandwich home and the bread/pita was delicious though. I could have used some more chicken chunks, but every kabob chunk was really good. The sauce was fantastic and the fresh tomatoes and onions were awesome. The meal was perfect for a lunch time sandwich. Overall, won't come back here, but the chicken kabob sandwich was plenty good though. I am a pretty easy going guy, but nickel and diming me doesn't sit easy with me. Now instead of recommending the place to friends like they wanted with the voucher, I have to tell my story of the cheapness of the ownership.

Operated by a very affable Turkish couple in a small strip mall, I had the Lamb Shank combo (lamb, Greek salad, subbed humus for rice); also ordered a Turkish coffee. I enjoyed everything & its authenticity. Simple ambiance, reasonable prices, proximity to airport, delectable ethnic food!

We split the chicken gyro meal and a greek salad. The gyro was good, the fries were VERY average, and the salad was good, but could have used more veggies. The salad also wasn't worth the price for the large size. The main comment I would have about this place would be the atmosphere. It's completely silent and kind of depressing in there. The guy cooking was friendly, the guy taking the order seemed more interested in getting back to his own meal with a friend, and the place just gave me an all around kind of 'bummer' feeling. Like wah, waaaah. The place is in a crappy strip mall, but maybe if they played some fun cultural music and acted a little happier or more friendly, they wouldn't have been so dead during lunchtime on a weekday. I'll go back because it's close to where I now work, but I wouldn't go out of my way. The food is good, but not 'out of the way' good.

Just had lunch for the second time at this little hidden gem. The best gyros I ever had. I believe the person who served me was the owner, but really nice guy, friendly atmosphere and good prices. After we were served the owner's family and himself sat down and had lunch at the table next to us (a vote of confidence for the food when the owners can eat it daily). I'm a little disheartened not many people have discovered this great family establishment in Bloomington and I hope more people go in the future to ensure it's survival!
