I have been here twice now. Both times were very underwhelming. I have yet to find anything on the menu that is great that I can't get anywhere else. The servers have been subpar at best (but I'm noticing a lot of servers around here are starting to slack). Expensive for what you get.

Oh the irony, the 'hurricane' grill... Well if time is on your side then this is probably the place for you. Decor is reminiscent of a beach side establishment, quite surreal in the mid winter Bemidji environment. However the menu choice appeared reasonable for the typical American diner. Service was incredibly slow. I was thinking that they actually went to the store to pick up the ingredients prior to preparing them. Food was just ok, perhaps this place is better in the evening.

I heard this place wasn't very good but we decided to check it out anyway. The appetizers were pretty good but how can you screw up deep fried with garlic butter? And when it came to our main meals we were very disappointed. My BF ordered a steak medium and it came out well done. My salmon and my side dishes had very little taste to them. The pop came out watered down and we had to wait 10-15 min to get refills. Even the celery was old and dry! Our pigs will eat good tonight with all our leftovers!

We have been to hurricane 3 times now always ordering something different and I have to say we always leave happy. We have tried the wings which are meaty and the various sauces have good flavor. The steak is a good price and very tender and delicious. I LOVE the firecracker shrimp tacos just delicious!! The reason why we didn't give 5 stars is because of the fries being soggy. We have had the parmesan fries crispy and they are awesome however if you get a soggy batch they are nothing to write home about. The same goes for the sweet potato fries they served mine with a spicy maple sauce however that was super yummy. The prices are good and the servers have always done a really nice job. We can't wait to sit on the patio for supper this summer!

I have taken my family there twice. We have ordered many different Items, and we liked them all. The fish tacos, lettuce wraps, and wings are a must. Good service both times.

Didn't realize it was going to be a chain until we pulled up. Got wings and beer and was not disappointed. Probably on par with BWW but there are different wing flavors so it's nice to have another option in Bemidji Tried the habanero coconut and sweet chili sauces and enjoyed them both. Parm fries and onion rings were both good as well. Fulton and Surly beers on tap (CynicALE!) so I was happy. Everyone enjoyed their meals, we'll be back.

Summary: Want to like this place but it is really just ok. Decor/Location = Cute, huge, fun place Service = Good Services Food/Drinks = Lots of creative sauces but too salty. :( Kid Friendly = Yes

Been here two times now. The first time we came was the day they opened. They had everything well organized for the hectic first day. Had fried pickles, (fried in cornmeal, you can't find that in the far north)(coming from Texas I appreciate that) conch fritters and their bone in wings in four different sauces. Very good, only complaint the fritters were fried to long making them a bit dry and over dark. Went again today and had build a burger with sautéed mushrooms and caso cheese.. was to die for!!!!! We will be coming back for sure..

So so..... had firecracker shrimp tacos, they had good flavor but there wasn't much shrimp, they use popcorn breaded shrimp so it mostly breading, fries were room temp, price seemed fair while reading the menu but after the food arived i felt ripped off. I ordered a draft beer only to find out later it was $7.50 for a pint, given it was a craft beer (lucid foto ipa) I would have expected it to be in the 4-5$ range, it was good but I would not order it again just because of the price. I might return another day but order something different and I won't be getting a beer.

This is the go to spot for my roommates and I. Great wings (get the firecracker boneless), great service, Jesse the bartender and Engrus our server were excellent. Great atmosphere, like a tropical buffalo wild wings without the noise. We go here once a week or so. Definitely recommended.

The place is pleasant and clean with the usual motif trying to make it look like a place near the ocean. If you get a seat by the window you can see Lake Bemidji across the street. The service was a little slow but everyone seemed friendly. They have wings and a long list of sauces to choose from so kudos to them for stepping outside the box with some of them. I ordered wings with hot buffalo style sauce since mango habanero is not on the list of sauces. The wings are describes as jumbo on the menu but they are smallish. The sauce was okay and the wings were very good. I also ordered the crispy grouper fish tacos and they had way too much salt on them for my taste. The meal was okay and the prices were a little high for the quality of food. I gave three stars because the wings were good, if I had ordered the fish taco on it's own I would have given 2 stars. I don't think I will be returning to et here again.

We had the traditional buffalo wings. They were delicious!! Good service. Great wings. Just a little bright lighting for a Saturday night!!!

Very solid place. Good food, good service, good prices. Bright and coastal decor. Had the Mahi Tacos, good for non southern border state. Onion rings were pretty solid. Good stuff. Good stop.
