This place has been here for as long as I can remember. I've driven by it a million times and always meant to try it, but for some reason never had. When driving by the outside reminds me of the restraunt in the movie, "A Christmas Story". There were no cars in the lot, so we figured what the heck, there was nothing listed on yelp, so we decided to add it. We were in no rush and figured we should get good service being the only ones here. What a delightful surprise. The inside was really clean, and the waitress very friendly, and checked on us often. We were having too much fun taking pics of the stereotypical Chineese decor, as seen from the outside sign, to the interior Buddha, and arched red take out window. In a matter of minutes several tables had filled up. I guess it only takes one car in the lot to draw a crowd. I had ordered the crab rangoon, egg drop soup, and per the waitress I should try the hunan chicken. My friend had an egg roll, wonton soup, and garlic chicken. Everything came out hot, and tasted quite good. Even though there were a few tables, the waitress was also prepping the food, which she never missed a beat. Refills on drinks, asked for soy sauce, ( was surprised none were on any of the tables) and bringing of the check was all done expeditiously, and everyone in the room looked as though they were also getting her attention as well. We sat and lingered a bit, and watched with awe the little waitress that could do everything and did so with speed and a smile. The food was really good in quality, much to my hesitation. We walked out $30 bucks including tip, and will definitely be trying takeout on next drive by. Inexpensive, good food and good service.

Still have not found a Asian food place in GR that blows me away. The best I have found at this point would be blue ginger. My first experience with take out at Chiken n Egroll I would rate the following: General Tso Chicken (ordered with white meat) 4 out of 5, Rice- 4 out of 5 (kinda small quantity), egg roll- 3 out of 5, crab ragoon- 2 out of 5

This is the third time that I have been here. It is a very good restaurant. My sister-in-law and her husband have been coming here for years and have become very friendly with the owners. Very personable people who will remember you when you return. Excellent food and not ridiculously huge portions. My brother-in-law is one of the pickiest diners I know, and he loves this place. Absolutely the best eggrolls anywhere. In fact, for alight supper, I may come back just to get a couple of eggrolls. The Beef and Pea Pods had a lot more veggies than just pea pods. It also had bok choy, celery, mushrooms, bamboo sticks, and water chestnuts. The waitress/owner let me know this when I ordered it, so it was not a surprise. But it was a welcome one anyway. It was delicious and was not swimming in sauce. It was not that candy-sweet stuff that is so popular these days. I loved it! For me, the only black marks (besides the usual-don't use the bathroom in a Chinese restaurant!) would be that their air conditioner either does not work, or they like it on a warm setting. Both this time, and the last time was here about two years ago, it was very hot inside, even on a cool day. They have a couple of fans set up, but they really should cool the place down. Also, the place is very small and not good for a large group. I know I will be returning, sooner than later.

I have been eating here for 25+ years, and it always used to be good... my last visit, not so much. The fried rice was always fantastic, but this chicken fried rice was bland, the rice was mushy and there was barely any chicken in it. Chicken with broccoli was BLAND, washed out looking, sauce was water and there were 3 small pcs of chicken in it. I guess they are cutting back on expenses. Steamed dumplings were nothing special at all. At least the egg rolls are still good. If you're dining in, DON'T... floors are dirty, no AC on so it's hot and gross inside the dining area. If this is the new norm, I will give up on them. SAD

Fantastic sweet and sour chicken. Staff was polite and helpful. They have great options for takeout. I will be sure to return :)

I have ate here three times now. The very first time I was treated to a very good chicken fried rice, so every visit I got the same thing. In my opinion it's best to get it after lunch is over or at dinner time. It seems to be much better. It's not the best I have had but it's not pricey.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
