I would give this place a 5 except one time I ordered CASHEW chicken and it was chicken with a bunch of peanuts on it? lol.... We regularly order from here. Fried pork dumplings, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken are our favorites. Plus, they deliver. One time the guy delivered to us in a polar vortex and got his Focus stuck in the street outside of our house. That night, he forgot our orange chicken and came back just as pleasant as he had been in the first place despite having to return after digging out his car. Don't know why people claim the service is bad... Bonus: One of my favorite things about Lucky Dragon is that when you call you are speaking to a person with an accent but you can always understand what they are asking. Can't shake a stick at that.

Great sesame tofu. Great spring rolls. Decent vegetable lo mein. Reasonable prices for a large servings. Quick service. Online ordering is available which is awesome for an introvert like myself.

Average to good American-Chinese food. Fast and efficient service. Decent prices. We order from them often for convenience. Good sweet and sour chicken and moo goo Gai pan. Eggrolls not so great. Tasty soups. Crab Rangoon is tasty but contains no crab or krab meat. Just sweet cram cheese in a deep fried shell. Fried rice is good. Overall a decent place. One middle aged woman who works there is particularly nasty. She is very rude and seems irritated every time I've been there. She's the one who wear the strange visors/hats. But it's all a part of the experience. Ha ha.

I've been getting food here ever since I moved downriver 3 years ago, and I have never had a problem. Their sweet and sour chicken is crunchy and not too greasy, their rice is always cooked properly and fresh, and their vegetables always seem crunchy and fresh as well. I would recommend their S&S chicken, sesame chicken, or their Happy Family special. I wouldn't recommend dining inside since it isn't too clean and their drink options aren't great. They are always courteous on the phone and polite in person. They do deliver in the area as well as have online ordering, which are pluses as well.

Not so good...where to begin? Stay away from the wonton soup, the wontons are hard. Stay away from the bathroom not so good in there either. I ordered almond chicken which was pretty good same with the rice and egg roll. The service was horrible! My waiter much rather sit in the corner booth playing on his Nintendo DS than ask me if I need anything. I ended up going to the counter to get my own take out box and check. I would not recommend eating leftovers a day after...I ended up throwing away half my meal.

Good, standard Chinese food. The best part? They deliver!!! I had Moo Goo Gai Pan and it was yummy.

Excellent food ,good prices . One dinner can feed two to three people. Not a pleasant dining area . There's like 3booths and a table. Kinda messy. On the positive side the take-out is always tasty. I recommend the crab Rangoon as a appetizer, and general tso's chicken as a meal. Personal favorites

The quality of the food and portions has nosedived in the past couple of years. This used to be my go to place for Chinese food. Not any longer. After several visits now of disappointing food, I will be going elsewhere. The Chicken Fried rice was an insult. Hard burnt rice with microdots of chicken imbedded here and there. The General Tso's chicken was bland. The egg rolls were good, but who goes to a place just for the eggrolls? I think they may have changed owners in the last couple of years because this place used to be excellent. It is NOT now.

This is my favorite place to order Chinese food. I've ordered delivery from them about a dozen times and each time have been pleased with their service and food. My favorite dish is the Happy Family Dinner which is Lobster, jumbo shrimp, sliced beef, chicken and pork served with mixed veg. in delicious brown sauce. They deliver quick, the person taking orders on the phone is clear and friendly and the prices are cheap. Bonus points for online ordering.

I love going here for Chinese. I have gone here for over 10 years and I have never had a bad experience! The good is great and the service is okay. I don't always dine in, I usually do carry out, but when I do done in, it's nice and quiet. Mind you I go when it's night time, so there isn't a lot of people.

Right. I haven't lived downriver in quite a long time but this was definitely my go-to takeaway joint when I was kicking around there. It's your archetypical local Chinese place, with a spare showing of tables inside that you basically ignore and order it to-go. The parking lot has one way in and out, which is a bit of a pain, but inconveniences are irrelevant with respect to Chinese takeaway. This is a great hidden stop for herbivores downriver. Unlike most of the Chinese joints in the area that feature a very exciting combination of Mixed Vegetables and Vegetable Fried Rice as options, Lucky Dragon offers a variety of tofu dishes for your pleasure. I was always quite partial to the Sesame Tofu and Szechuan Bean Curd. Also, they have chopsticks on hand, which is pretty much essential to be taken seriously as a Chinese place. If I ever drop into the area, I'll definitely visit again.

I miss this place! Now that I've moved to Canton I'm been looking for a place like Lucky Dragon. They have great crab ragoons, lo mein, lemon chicken, dragon and phoenix, and king of the sea. The usual standards, sweet and sour chicken and almond chicken aren't so hot, but the rest is yummy!

Lucky Dragon is the best Chinese place in the area. My friends and I try to hit up any Chinese restaurants we come across. The nearest restaurant of comparable quality is Ann Arbor. The food is definitely better than anything else downriver. I'm a 6'2" 20something who eats like a machine. The portions for the dinner were enough to satisfy me. A typical eater would have trouble finishing the meal. Best of all, dinners are under $10. Sometimes the older staff can be unfriendly, but the younger workers who tend to work the cashier/wait are very pleasant. I have never received a messed up order since 2007 dining-in or carrying out. Not a place to take a date, but recommended for a casual dine-in or for carry out.

Pretty much the worst. Food & Service both get 2 thumbs way down.

FIRST OFF, lemme just say they DELIVER - that's awesome as is. My total (including delivery) was only $16.42 and I ordered a feast that could easily feed three people. I'm not even really a fan of Chinese food all that much, but everything was really good. Especially the spring rolls, which are very cheap. They even hooked me up with a plethora of sauces, even though I wasn't asking for that much. Their hot&sour soup is different, yet amazing, consisting of tofo, mushrooms, and sprouts. Very good. However, not a huge fan of their fried rice, for there is very little chicken in it and seemed lightly seasoned with soy sauce. But that's okay, because you get, like, two pounds of it with a dinner special. I ordered a shrimp dinner special - shrimp was largein size. And of course, the man who delivered it to me was very happy/friendly. First time eating there tonight and probably won't be the last. :)

Food is good, no complaints, but customer service in person and especially on the phone is far lacking; however it's so close to my house they'll continue to get my business regardless. :(

Pretty good Chinese, sweet and sour chicken sauce tastes plastic-y? But garlic chicken is really good. Awesome that they deliver.

From a menu prospective, Lucky Dragon is a typical Chinese take-out place. However, I think there food is the better than any of the other local Chinese places. So if you're in the mood for Chinese and you're in the area, Lucky Dragon's a good choice. It's worth mentioning that Lucky Dragon is mostly take-out, although there are a couple tables if you want to eat in.

Food is good and would earn them a 4 for generic americaniized chinese food. However, quality of service has gone way down hill. Staff acts like your imposing on them when you order and i waited for 25 minutes for soup and bbq ribs which they just reheat in the microwave (still good though). Honestly, the disinterested pissed off attitude was so off putting I'm going to switch to China Star.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
