Hmm...well these are my thoughts on Firehouse. I ordered the under 500 calorie sriracha beef sandwich and a cup of chili. The chili was okay, however wouldn't order it again at almost 4 bucks a cup, it was not worth it. I would much rather have Wendy's Chili way better and way cheaper. The sandwich was good, the beef tasted very similar to Arby's roast beef. The sandwich served on a whole wheat hoagie type roll with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sriracha sauce, along with mayo, which I got on side The sandwich was good, however way over priced at 6 bucks a pop, sorry not worth it. I doubt I would return.

Kinda' surprised by all the mediocre reviews. My husband and I both agreed after the first bite that this place is WAY better than subway and one of the best subs we have had. The meat was warm and full of rich flavor while the bread was warm with a slight crisp. I hate how subway 'toasts' their sub and the bread is hard and flakey; this place toasted it just right. We will definitely be going backs. Kids eat for $.99 on Monday and Tuesday and get a fire hat. Total bill for one medium sub and one medium sub meal: $16 (which included a donation to a fire academy). Worth the money. Also, the facility and tables were very clean and the music wasn't blasting.

I had heard a lot about this place and decided to give it a try. First and foremost upon entering the I was pleased at how clean it was, anyone who knows me, knows that this is my pet peeve! Another thing that caught me was the ambiance, I love the firefighters theme, I think it's really cool. The menu wasn't that big, but everything on it looked delicious! I ordered the signature firehouse sub and it was great! This ain't your traditional subway sub! You definitely get your money's worth, and the subs are moderately priced. If you're tired of of the blah when it comes to subs, shake it up and try firehouse!

We decided to give it a shot. 7:40pm on a Thursday night. Plenty of employees but the line to order was extremely long. I stood in the line for a few minutes and watched the employees just stand around. I will give it another chance but that may take 6 months.

Been hearing so much about how great the subs are that I decided to stop in. I got the New York Steamer, corned beef and pastrami, and was offered a sample of their chili. Chili was good and tasted homemade. The sub was good but was small. I was offered to double it in size for $2.50 which I declined, but seems that would have been the best bet. The best thing I discovered here was that they had a variety of hot sauces for your sandwich. I noticed the "Bone Sucking Sauce" which I have seen in gourmet stores and had been wanting to try. I have to tell you it was the best all purpose/barbecue sauce that I have ever had. I went out the next day and bought 2 jars of it. Overall a good experience here but I think Penn Station and a couple of local owned does as good a job or better and gives you more for your money.

This place is ok. I would eat there again but wouldn't go out of my way. It's comparable to a jimmy johns sub. They do serve the subs warm at firehouse which I liked. I guess I was just expecting a little bit more of a gourmet touch to the sub.

Liked the sub I had, but in second half of sub seen a long blond hair- definately not mine. So I showed them what I found, was very polite (would never be rude to someone making my food lol). They said they'd make a new one. Took it home as I already had eaten half, when I pulled apart long blonde hair in it. Unless someone there has severe hair loss problems, all I can think is they stuck it back in there out of spite. Won't go back.

Tasty subs. Not anything special compared to any other sub shop, but is a nice change from Subway. The place is clean. The staff is young but on point and the fact that you can give your change to a local fire department is also a plus.

very good subs! much better than a $5 footlong. they are however a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for. glad they finally opened one of these in the area.

Had this for lunch last week and I will go back. Loved all the choices and menu offering subs under 500 calories.

We ordered the smokehouse brisket and new york steamer. Never again - both sandwiches were slathered with mayo. My husband said the smokehouse almost tasted gooey. The new york steamer was very, very bland. Sandwiches from here again? No thanks.

Long line for a tiny sub. There was hardly any meat on it, and the "smoked" brisket had no smoke flavor to speak of. Bread was nothing special. They advertise how filling, and piled high the subs are....They need to do their homework!

Expensive, rude, and gross. Sub is toasted with veggies and dressing on. So horrible warm lettuce dripping with hot mayo, dressing, mustard. Waste of money.
