Accidentally stopped at Big Apple when we couldn't find another restaurant we had been searching out. This is what I would call a perfect mistake. You will become a regular here. I promise you will. First thing that makes it so perfect - you choose your seat. Anywhere in the restaurant. They have a counter with stools, and two other rooms which include booths or tables. They don't care where you sit, they'll find you and find you quick. We have never had to wait more than a minute to be greeted and asked for a drink order. The staff is friendly and they don't miss a beat. My child loves this place. They have coloring books and crayons available, although you won't need them. As quickly as your order is taken, your food is heading to the table. During our last visit, we were "recognized". I have to admit we've been repeat visitors in the last month, but the server and cashier both remembered our family and even a little bit about us, just from a quick gab the previous visit. I paid attention during our last visit to the interaction between the other guests and the staff. Guests were asking about servers that weren't there that particular day, another asked one server about her daughter and college. Like I said, you will become a regular here. It's just that kind of place. As for the food, they have a huge menu with a list of daily specials. I highly recommend the Hawaiian Burger. And even though it's not on the menu, the staff quickly accommodated my little guy with Mickey Mouse pancakes. Everything about this place is an A+. Try it once, and you'll be planning out your next visit. Oh, and they are open 24 hours so it shouldn't be hard to find time to fit them into your schedule.

We went today for breakfast and when we came it in said seat yourself. The front area was full, we started walking to the back when a waitress coming out of that area said the back is reserved very rudely. She did not said sorry the back is reserved it you can wait a second we will find a seat for you, nothing. We left without eating. This was not the first time this waitress was rude. This was the first time we left because of it. I am not sure we will go back and we have been going there for decades.

Daughter and I went here cause it was late and nothing really open. Went in sat down waited and waited. And no-one came over to serve us. Seen two waitresses and nothing so we got up and went to the royal diner down the street. There loss and royals gain will never go here again. Bad customer service.

Great diner. My wife and I had dinner. Great chicken noodle soup. Large side salad. Turkey was great with stuffing. Veal dinner was also great. I would recommend this restaurant. Great portions and prices.

I had a delicious meal tonight, roast beef was tender and smothered in gravy. My husband had chicken fried steak smothered in sausage gravy. Both meals sated our hunger with no need for dessert! Definitely will go back for more.

For some reason, I love diners. It was the end of a long night and we were starving. I was so excited to eat at Big Apple. That's where the excitement ended. I know the server saw us. There were only two other tables with people in the entire place. She walked by us and assisted them twice. We waited over 10 minutes and no one stopped by to even ask for our drink order. We left.

Lived down the street from this gem since I was a baby. I love the sense of community at the restaurant, the awesome wait staff, and the good, fair pricing of the food. The food's not spectacular, but it's good comfort food with a large menu. Plus the breakfast specials are super cheap, which is hard to beat.

Excellent service, great food. I have been going there for many years, long before they moved to their current location and have never had bad service. I moved away and had not been back in years but was still recognized by the waitresses. I am mostly there at breakfast and they keep coming around to refill my coffee or water (always a strong positive) and I never have a long wait for my food, which is plentiful and cooked as ordered. Love their pies too. The slices are large and tasty. I often get a piece to take home.
