I would definitely classify this one as a bar that serves food so, my rating is a little more lenient with the food. We got in before the Karaoke (also, we don't Karaoke) so I can't comment on it. Strolled in around 7:30 on a Friday and the bar was set up with regulars and there was plenty of seating to be had in the non-smoking section. Here's the thing, it doesn't really matter if you sit in the non-smoking section or not because the smell of cigarette smoke pervades the establishment. Despite the generally clean appearance inside, you can't help but feel sticky from all the accumulated years of bar life that has transpired here. It didn't help that I wound up surreptitiously squashing a gnat while ordering my Angus steak with Gorgonzola and grilled onions. My 8 oz. steak special was made to specification; medium rare. For $12, I wasn't too surprised that it wasn't the most tender cut I've had. The side of green beans with tomatoes was fresh and well-seasoned. Although, they could have been prepped better; I had to remove several inedible stems. The Amber Bock on tap I had was a little on the flat side. BTW, for whatever reason, the men's room was at least 85 degrees Fahrenheit. With little to choose from in this area of Warren, Crash Landing provides a reasonably inexpensive meal with an obliging staff. P.S.: Please bring back the crashed plane that used to occupy the façade of the roof here!

In 09 and 2010 crash landing was one of the best places around the area. Don't know if they changed owners or chefs but the food sucks and so does the service. Gave it three more tries but nothing changed. Well try one more time this summer because u gotta support local resteraunts and I used to love there pork chops.

My family and I ate here, party of 7. I would like to point out that I worked in a restaurant as a waitress for a couple of years so I know the business of working at a restaurant. I WILL NOT EAT HERE EVER AGAIN. First, there were either Gnats or Fruit Flies flying around the dining room and we were not the only table to ask what that was all about. My boyfriend and I ordered steak fajitas, when they brought them out and placed them on the table I immediately noticed a fried up mixed in bunch of dust/hair ball in the fajita meat! I KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS, IT MEANS THEY DROPPED OUR FOOD ON THE FLOOR AND SCRAPED IT UP AND PUT IT BACK ON THE FAJITA PAN AND BROUGHT IT OUT TO THE TABLE!!! FRICKEN DISGUSTING! I will not be back, and will make sure I let anyone in the neighborhood know about this incident.

I went there with my girlfriend about a month ago with a group of about 10 friends for a birthday. The karaoke selection was pretty large, which isn't much different from most karaoke places I've been to. We were sat right in front of the stage, and I went nearly deaf sitting there in a matter of minutes. The volume was constantly adjusted, and one singer in particular had the privilege of giving everyone an instant headache as the monitor was kicked up to "make your ears bleed" volume. I'm no wuss when it comes to loud music, but it was unnecessary and completely amateur of the DJ. This made the rest of the night a chore to sit through. To add insult to injury, we waited a half hour for our first order of drinks and weren't waited on for the duration of the night. My girlfriend's margarita literally tasted like saltwater with lime in it. It was one of the worst drinks I've ever had. One of my friends who managed to pull off getting a food order in didn't seem too thrilled with the food either. He was starving and didn't even eat half his burger, which is odd for a 6'-something 300lb guy. I recommend eating before you go, sitting far away from the karaoke speakers (bring a pair of earplugs just in case you can't), holding your breath on your way in as you walk past everyone smoking at the entrance, and if you actually want a drink, sit close to the bar. Other than that, I've got no complaints.

Not really liking the Landing, and I've been here more than one time. The bartenders aren't exactly the friendly type when I've sat at the bar in the past, but I think it's the patrons that are a bit more annoying. Can't fault the restaurant for their clientele I suppose. The food has never been spectacular. Today though, I went off the special menu. Don't do that. Being in restaurants, I've never worked in one that ACTUALLY DID put things on special because they were old. The Lake Superior Whitefish was. It definately had a shady smell to it when it was brought out. The french fries served with it were shiny from grease. The clam chowder, also had a funky aftertaste to it. I'm a big fan of seafood, just not of rank smelling seafood. My server, maybe I was a bit standoffish since I had my laptop with me and was sitting alone, she was timely, she did her job. In her defense, I didn't have to wait for anything. That's about it. (I'm a server, so I guess I have higher standards)

Enjoyed the fun atmosphere of this place. The Karaoke host was lively and kept the crowd from choosing those 'dismally bleak' slow songs...well there may have been one thrown in there. Most parties were large and for couples or single patrons they sat along the bar. They have an extremely long restaurant menu for a bar. I laughed at a couple of friends who decided they wanted to try the fettucine alfredo. Don't touch this one...In general stick to the bar foods you know when they're playing karaoke. The fried shrimp plate was good, nice size shrimp in satisfying fried breading. They make a nice blended pina colada or ice cream drink if you're into those. Plenty of happy guests with beer pitchers so when you get up the nerve to sing you will get a hearty clap at the end of your song. Star for five minutes!

First time here...didn't eat any food...don't know that I will... However, karoke Friday and Saturday nights are a blast. Awesome song selections, and the DJ is great. We had a large group for a birthday, which was I am sure was somewhat annoying to the other guests, but everyone was really nice-especially once we gave them some extra cake! Drinks...awesome...5 beers cost me under 10 bucks...the inside is a lot nicer than it looks from the outside. Different than what we are typically used to, but a good time overall!

Friendly patrons and bartenders. Really good vibes from this place. I've been here for the Karaoke nights, it's a great time. It's not overly crowded like any bar in Royal Oak during the weekend is; you can actually get a seat and the drinks are cheap. The food specials for 3 dollars from 4-6 PM and 10 pm until close are very generous, very good and a really good deal. I also had the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken off the menu for 12 dollars on one occasion, it was very good except that I felt that the grilled chicken could have been cut in slightly smaller sections but that's just nit-picking. You can get a coupon for this place from Restaurant.com but that isn't needed with the great specials on food.
