Absolutely delightful experience! From the outside, it is a small, unassuming building. Step foot in the door and you are in Italy :-) Excellent waitstaff (thanks Carlo! ), cozy atmosphere and quality home-made cuisine. I'm surprised that this is the first review, but it is my honor to give them their first 5 star rating. Be sure to check out this little neighborhood treasure!

Very good chicken parmigian. First time eating here and I'll be back! I recommend this new Italian restaurant in Warren.

I went here for dinner a few weeks ago with my family. Here is the breakdown: The good: the atmosphere was cute. They've done a total remodel from when it was NY Deli (one of my old favorites). The food was good - not amazing, but definitely solid. I ordered a cajun chicken pasta dish. It was nicely spiced (not too hot though), and came with a yummy creamy sauce. My mom ordered the chicken parmesan - I swiped a bite of hers, and it was good, too. My daughter ordered the fettucini alfredo - her absolute favorite -and cleaned her plate. The staff was friendly and efficient. The best thing about Bucatini? The price!!! None of the dishes were over $15, with most of their entrees in the $8-$10 range. Always nice when you're trying to dine out on a budget. The bad: their salads were nothing to write home about. Bland, boring, bagged salad mix. Dressing didn't taste homemade. The breadbasket had hard, Stella Doro style breadsticks. The bread wasn't warm, either - just some boring old bagged bread thrown into a basket. Still for the price and the entrees, I'd definitely go back.

I'm very happy with this place! Really I am. I went in a little scared as there was very few reviews but the place was defiantly better than average and leaps above the commercial world. The bolognese sauce was nice. I was hoping for something more chunky but it was good. My friend had the chicken creamose (pardon the spelling) and he said it was wonderful! It was a breaded chicken on a bed of pasta and with a lemon cream sauce. The prize was the homemade tiramisu! Oh my word was it wonderful! I'll be back just for that any day of the week!

We've been wanting to try this restaurant because of a recommendation from a friend so we gave it a shot this past weekend. The decor and atmosphere were OK, I'm not seeing being shot thru a time/space continuum and falling into Italy like others have raved about! Think more, Pizza Hut meets Home Goods. Upon entering we waited a few minutes to be seated, I'm not sure why there were three people eating inside. Finally seated and given menus we watched two other tables get seated, given menus and asked a drink order before we even spoke to the waitress. Finally after what seemed like ten minutes we ordered drinks and our food at the same time thinking if we didn't we'd be waiting again to order our dinner. We were served breadsticks and fresh bread, nothing special to us (Stella Doro, hard breadsticks not the soft variety). Our soup and salads arrived in a timely manner however one salad brought to us was not what was ordered so we had to ask for the correct salad. The chicken something or other soup to me was very bland, I added salt and pepper to get some flavor. Finally the dinner...We ordered a pasta dish and two lasagna dinners, one with an order of Italian sausage on the side. The food arrived in a timely manner but the Italian sausage that was ordered wasn't present. Again another order flubbed. The waitress kindly apologized and brought a small saucer with approximately 8-10 thin and I mean THIN slices of sausage. Really? Picture two pieces of pepperoni together. The pasta dish, bucatini I believe is what it was called was decent according to the person eating it. The lasagna was not anything close to what I would expect from an "Italian" restaurant. Two of us ordered this and both had the same feeling. While palatable it wasn't anything better than I could order from the local pizza carry out on the corner. I wasn't impressed at all. In fact my mother, a polish woman can make better lasagna than this "Italian" restaurant. Overall I'm thinking the service needs a lot of work, the ambiance could be better although it was clean and neat but nothing to write home about. The food... Well let's just say we won't be back. Not based on the food alone but the entire experience as a whole. There's plenty other Italian restaurants in the area that have much better food than this and service to match. I don't think this place will be around long.....

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
