Our visit was okay -- nothing too spectacular. We had the fried pickles for an appetizer. They were good -- I think they were better than the entrees. To tell you the truth, I don't even remember our entrees... I guess they were that lackluster. The bar did help though -- we enjoyed a nice glass of Pinot Grigio. The service was great - drink refills came on a regular basis.

Have been there before. Food is ok. Went on Mothers day. Everything was fine until we were almost finished eating. Our server was fine, but another one kept hurrying us. We were NOT those kind of people who like to linger. But rushing us was too much. After a couple hints (4, or 5), she even asked us to sit at another table. How rude, and disgusting. We will not be back, but we will tell all to avoid this place.

Usually get the breakfast specials regardless of the time of the day. So far I have tried the Original Breakfast Skillet and the Italian Skillet. Both were very much to my liking and the quantity was well worth the price. Great to see a diner-type atmosphere in a suburban area. Will definitely look forward to trying out other items on the menu.

I like this place. Honestly my best description is a high class Coney Island. I don't mean to demean the place because it's great but that's how I think of it. The same foods as Coney except your coleslaw is fresh made instead of coming out of a 5 gallon bucket. Your Hani comes with romaine instead of iceberg. Your server is happy to be there. Theres a nice little bar area where you can buy liquor and probably some higher quality beer. The place is clean and doesn't look like 10,000 teenagers ran through it. In fact you probably won't see many teenagers in there. I was very impressed with the food and service. When I was there they had servers and then there was a lady there going table to table just making sure everything was okay and actually helping the servers. They really got it together. Go there!

A very attractive and relaxing atmosphere. There was a wide variety of items on the menu and all were priced fairly. The service was excellent. I had a gyro and onion rings. Everything was served fresh and hot. The gyro was a bit on the plain side...kinda 'Americanized' but it still tasted good. the onion rings were thin but were cooked very nicely. I'll be back for breakfast.

I recently discovered this diner and came back in the next week with my husband. I'm very familiar with many of the diner type restaurants in the Troy and Rochester area. Both my meals and service were great! I'm not sure what the other reviewers on this site had but I will definitely be back. The tuna melt was excellent and those with me had breakfast. They were very pleased with their meals. On my second visit we had the gyro sandwiches. Very good. My server both times was attentive, our food arrived very fast, everything was great!

I went to the diner on a Sunday morning for brunch. It was busy, and asking for a table for two took about 15 minutes. There was no list to seat customers, so my party of two got seated after a party of four that arrived after us. After the wait we were seated, and our order immediately taken by a polite waitress. Our drinks and food came out very quickly, and were high quality and yummy. However, after we were done eating, but still chatting a the greeter who took a long time to seat us, asked us to either go to the bar a talk, or leave the restaurant because he needed the table for other customers, so I ended up leaving.

I've been here five times and have only gotten one thing -- the western omelette. I wouldn't know about the other menu options, but I can tell you the omelettes are the best I've ever had. They also have raisin toast, which is a treat when compared with other breakfast places that don't offer it. My friend had the pancakes, and she was not impressed. The atmosphere is lovely and it's really a place you'll feel comfortable in.

I love this place! I have celiac, so every time I eat out it its like playing Russian Roulette. Will I be violently sick soon after? But I refuse to give up! The cooks in the back seem to be well educated on handling gluten problems, as I have eaten here several times and tried several different meals and have never gotten sick! More than can be said for a couple places in the area that even advertise as having good gluten free options. The waitresses are hit and miss. Some understand what "I can't eat gluten" means and are very pleasant, while one waitress made a face at me and said, "ew" when I asked her to make a suggestion. Umm, I'm sorry my autoimmune disease is unpleasant for you? For that reason I can't give full stars. Just make sure you tell the waitress to let the folks in the back know what you need, and they accommodate wonderfully. (:

I've only been here for breakfast, but I've been a few times now. It is always busy, which I think is a good thing. They have a large menu with many choices. The service is fast, friendly and efficient. One thing I was impressed with was their corned beef hash. This isn't the typical out-of-the-can crap, it's got a real, home-cooked quality to it. I'll definitely be returning.

Must update menu. It's been the same since ever!!! It must be more rich. Food there is okay. If your hungry it'll do. Usually and older crowd hangs out there.

We had dinner here recently. I'd heard from friends how good the food was, especially the perch. The waitress was V-E-R-Y slow, she took forever to get our drinks. The diner was only 25% full, so there was absolutely no excuse. We received our food and it was subpar. The perch my son ordered was hard as a rock and just plain awful. The rest, not much better. Will not be returning!

Been here recently, what a terrible meal I had. That is why the two stars. The server was very pleasant. Not a rating for her, or any of them ! Or for the actual place it's self. This is for the cooks, not chef, I will not call them that ! Ordering early afternoon, I still expect fresh food, eggs done well, thank you, but that is All your getting from me! Bacon ? How long ago was that cooked ? It was crisp , yes, but cooked many hours ago, the hash browns ? Sorry, had to spit those out, Cook ....have you tasted them ? YUCK ! Horrible ! Asked for crispy, were they cooked prior to my arrival ? I think so. Now on to my main gripe. I only eat the Egg Yellow's, I think a lot of people actually have a preference to what part of the Egg they like best, I've never done a survey, granted, but I do know many people who eat whites or yellows of the Egg only. Now your Eggs Were Perfect, like I said, I had asked for White TOAST. In my dictionary: TOAST, reads, 1: TO BROWN THE SURFACE OF ( bread, cheese, etc) BY HEATING 2 TO WARM THOROUGHLY, to BECOME TOASTED - n. - SLICED BREAD MADE BROWN AND CRISP BY HEAT --TOASTER n. In comes my toast after receiving my plate, I am hungry, can't wait to Eat. My toast is set on the table. I look down, and it is the color of WHITE BREAD, but is slightly, Crisp. So I ask my server, oh wait I look inside, maybe it's done right in there. AND WHAT DO YOU THINK I SEE ? Enough Butter? Or whatever you use, to butter Six pieces of bread not TWO. Very unappetizing. So I ask politely if I could have my bread toasted Please, " No Problem" I think she said. Just a few minutes later, my ""TOAST" reappears. Same bread, ( with all that frickin butter crap) BUT. BURNT LINES ON BOTH SIDES, UN-EDIBLE ! She politely ask, will this do? NO !#*!#- NOT REALLY, ....But I can't say anything because, I am in tears, because, my partner has already scolded me for sending back my WHITE BREAD ( UN-TOASTED) So for my lunch, when I was so desperately hungry, I ate, Egg yellows, with NO dipping toast, a bite of bacon that was cooked hours ago, and NO Hash-browns, that looked good to the eye, but were deceiving to my taste buds. THE OWNER probably won't keep this yelp on as a review, which is a shame. Because I have eaten here many times and been SUCH A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER. Next time I try your Restarunt, "AND I WILL", because, I am a "TRUE YELPER" , I will try and mix it up, to see if there is any improvement. You won't know me, as I use others photos GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE I know many YELPERS, that do read my Yelps. I eat out twice a day. If I Owned this diner, I would be sure to send in my friends as spy's once in a while, see what happens. If you need a new Toaster BUY ONE. EVERYBODY LOVES TOAST

I agree with previous posters that this is like a high class coney. I would pick this place over a National any day. Reasonable prices. We have had the burgers and breakfast so far and all has been good. We have had good service every time and all the food looks great. I am excited to try more. I would recommend this place for casual dining to anyone in the area!

Great place to get a satisfying, tasty breakfast. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. Will definitely be coming back here to try their Lunch and Dinner items. This is a true winner in my opinion.

I realllllly want to give this place more stars. First of all, it is gorgeous inside. Like not even remotely diner-like. It's more of a modern bar type feel, really...and something I did not expect with its strip mall location. We went for breakfast with my in-laws, so there was a fairly large group of us. We had no problem sitting, and was even able to get a clean high-chair for my little one. We all ordered different items and some definitely looked better than others. I got the breakfast quesadilla (one of the specials for the day) and would NOT recommend it. It didn't even look like it had been grilled and was flavorless. Everyone else in our party seemed reasonably pleased with their omelets...but these are also people that don't complain about anything (and omelets are pretty impossible to screw-up, right?). Our waitress was OK...not the most attentive, but was pleasant enough. I will definitely give it a shot again. Loved the atmosphere and the food concept - they just need to work on presentation and perfecting the flavors.

Went back again after awhile. Homemade bean soup with a "small" Greek salad. The salad contained fresh romaine, ripe tomatoes, peppers, olives, sweet onions, feta, beets, and slices of English cukes. Service was attentive at lunch. True the crowd was "mature" but that doesn't mean they don't know good food at a good price. I took away a star because they no longer use cloth napkins. A nice touch in a nice place.

Went there for breakfast. Nice atmosphere and good service. Breakfast was not good! Ordered the blueberry pancakes thinking they would be homemade. Made with a mix (as least used fresh blueberries). The pancakes were flat, and raw, I could still taste the batter. This place is a Diner. How can you not have good pancakes?? Will not go back for breakfast. Try The Hills City Grille or Recipes - both have great breakfasts and exceptional pancakes.

Just finished lunch here! The chicken lon rice soup was amazing, and the tuna wrap didn't disappoint except that it was too big to finish. I wanted to keep eating it! Service was good and the decor was really nice. It's hidden away from rochester road, but worth finding.

Wife had chicken piccante - very good - she really liked the garlic potatoes too. I had fish and chips. It was cooked in oil that was not hot enough. By the time the batter was browned the fish was over cooked and greasy. We went back for breakfast. The filet mignon was very good and rare just like I asked. Eggs were cooked exactly to spec too. Really - very little problems for a brand new place.

First time getting a carry out and a bit disappointed. Food pricey, lemon garlic chicken was like solid breast of chicken dropped into a bowl of lemon rice soup. Have to give them some credit. Kids got the burger on pretzel bun and it was unique. Probably will not go back.
