Stopped in here after a trip to Somerset mall. We were the only customers in the place. They essentially have three types of dishes. An Italian style wrap, a pasta bowl, and salad, all of which you customize a la Subway, but with better toppings. I had the wrap and my fiancé had a pasta bowl. The wrap was fine. The sausage was dry and overcooked. Make sure you get extra sauce if you like a normal amount because they are skimpy with it. The person who took our order was very nice and explained everything to us. Service was downhill after that. The people who made our dishes and cashed us out didn't say a word to us and didn't smile at all. The price of the meal was exceptionally high relative to what we got. I would say skip this place and go to a full service Italian restaurant...where they have wine.

Calamari piada was really good. Liked the hot peppers and spicy sauce with it. I got my mom a grilled rosemary chicken spinach bowl, she liked it. I got My 2 year old a crispy chicken piada (like chicken parmigiana) and a cheese and pepperoni piada stick, he liked that better. I took it to go, so the calamari was a little soggy. I'll reevaluate next time I go when I eat there. Debating between 3-4 stars. Service was good, friendly and fast. 3 stars for now...

I was in the area on business and was looking for a quick lunch. The staff here is ridiculously friendly and assisted me with customizing a chicken pasta with diavola sauce and side salad. Everything was good. I thought this was a nice addition to the fast casual dining scene.

As much as I like Piada, I have to give this particular location 3 stars. Every time I get the same salad & they never fill the bowl. For almost $9, you would think they would. If you go to the Lakeside/Hall Rd location, you'll definitely get your money's worth. Not here.

Ehhh, I was not that impressed. I really like the concept of these types of fast-casual, make-it-in-front-of-you restaurants, but sometimes the execution is lacking. To be quite honest, nothing was remarkable or nothing stood out as extraordinary. The pasta was fine, not overcooked, and the pesto I got with it was lacking sort of herbaceous zing that you get from freshly made pesto. Their piada bread with pepperoni was salty and cold. I did however like the peach italian soda. But that is not redeeming enough for me to want to come back. Womp womp.

LOVE this place. With a small menu they pack in a lot of flavor. It's right next to my nail salon and I usually can't stop from getting something. My newest thing is the Farm Fresh Salad.... Chicken, strawberries, avocado, roasted corn, nuts. It is phenomenal and should be a part of the regular menu. Great for kids but enough to choose from for adults. Try the calamari, chicken Diavlo and lobster bisque! YUM!

Think of Piada as a Chipolte for Italian food. This place is AMAZING. So affordable, the portion sizes are huge, and the service is very quick. Defiantly a place to check out before a visit to Somerset mall. As I mentioned earlier- the portion sizes are large. I usually order a small size if I am ordering a salad or pasta, and still end up with leftovers! My favorite salad is their calamari salad- served with romaine lettuce, spicy peppers, cucumbers and a light vinaigrette. Along with my salad I always get the piada sticks with the cheese inside of them. If I could I would make a meal out of them! I still have yet to check out their desserts, but I am sure I will be back soon!

My friend suggested I go here, and I wasn't disappointed! The food was delicious, service was okay, but it was great because we don't have anything like Piada in my hometown. It was a refreshing change! I would definitely go back!

This was my second time coming into this place in two days. The idea of an Italian Chipotle gets me pretty excited. The staff here are exceptionally nice and go out of their way to explain everything, albeit this could be by design. It is convenient pretty good quality food. The only complaints I have of this place are the pasta bowl didn't have that much meat in it. Also, they cook the pasta in the pasta bowl first then add the ingredients but don't heat it all together. The result is luke warm food. My girlfriend had the same problem with her piada, as it wasn't very hot. Also the alfredo sauce is very generic and bland. I would recommend the divolo sauce if you like spicy. They have a good mix of Italian foods to add to your pasta bowls, piadas, etc so you can make it to your tastes. Also beware, the Italian sodas are not like real Italian sodas and are essentially super sweet teas.

I am taking away a star because I've been to Italy. Outside of the pasta and calamari, this place didn't resemble anything Italian. That said, I got a sandwich and it was really good. Your choice is sandwich (wrap), pasta or salad, then choice of meat, then toppings. My selection ended up being quite good. Seemingly if you don't like your meal, you picked the wrong toppings. I didn't see what people were saying about confusion on where to order. The first guy (who I think was the owner) could have been more forthcoming with the process, but otherwise the process was like an assembly line. There isn't confusion.

You know what? I kind of dig this place. I am so tired of the same ol' same ol' when it comes to quick service restaurants. This place is trying to do something different and I think they are doing it well. You basically have 3 things to choose from here (with a few different sides). A Piada - which is basically like a italian style burrito, a salad or a pasta bowl. They have a few different things to choose from or you can always make your own. Everything is very fresh. I have tried the piada as well as a salad and both items I really enjoyed. They also have fountain italian sodas - so thats fun. The place is SUPER clean and the employees were very friendly. If you are in a hurry to eat and bored of all the other quick service places that you have eaten at over and over again - try this! Its something different and I think its fun. Oh - and If you go you MUST get the cannoli chips. They were dang good.

Piada... Man, I had really really big hopes for you baby girl! Big hopes! Sadly, you kinda fell short of my expectations. I'll still give you another shot though. First let's talk about what they did right. For being a fairly new joint, I think their staff is fairly knowledgable and super super sweet- which in my book- you can have mediocre food, but if the staff is friendly, you are golden in my book. The nice lady behind the counter let me try the different types of chicken they had- the crispy and the grilled. Also, despite other reviews I've seen, I thought the place Was pretty clean. Now- what went wrong: I ordered a grilled chicken pasta bowl, with all the fixins. The pasta that they put in it seems like it was sitting under the hot lamp for much too long, kinda had a funky crunch to it. Also, the grilled chicken mehhh... Kinda was clumpy and tasted like cartilage. Also the mushrooms they put in it were not like grilled mushrooms, more just like fresh and not cooked. Then, after reading reviews about how good their garlic dough was, I was sad when it came out burnt. But... I'm fair, and I really love the concept of Italian street food- so after a few months, I'll give this joint another shot.

Not exactly Italian, concept could be nice if they used a better quality ingredients and didn't keep food under heat lamps to dry out. To me it was like a lot of whatever thrown in a bowl that might not make sense if you don't know what you doing, because you pick what you want to your bowl, salad, or Piada. The bread is something you could have bought at the Speedy or Seven 11 under the heat lamp. Best thing was the Italian Sodas yum! I did check with my fellow Yelpers before I ate here and I some of you were right. Sorry Piada is a miss for me.

Confused. Concerned. And upset. First, when you enter this place there's some confusion as where to order. You have a packed kitchen area, literally 8 people busy doing nothing. The food: This is the farthest thing from Italian street food. Think mexican meets Italian. The wraps, which look like a burrito, are way too flaky and fall apart while you eat them. I order the calamari version and the calamari came from a microwaved bag. It was soggy and chewy. The drench it in sauce which is the only thing you taste. It also makes it a soggy mess. The fuzzed Italian soda downright sucks. They are trying to be like Chipotle but have missed the mark significantly.

  • Holly S.

Upon service I told the guy behind the grill that i had never been here before but that I knew that I wanted calamari as my grill option. He was SO FRIENDLY! And he told me that it was a great option and not chewy- which it really wasn't! He also instructed me that I should try the chef special calamari (just order it off the menu, all sauces and toppings are included) but you could get it as a pasta bowl or a salad. Anyways it was really good but it was a skimpy on the protein and could have been overall larger ( the pasta bowl that the person with me ordered was HUGE and I sat around while she finished eating) still a cool concept seeing as we don't have any Italian "fast food". Think qdoba/Baja Fresh/ chipotle. The peach and orange Italian soft drink were good and the cannoli chips and dip were pretty generous. Give it a try, it's different and good Side note- the manager there is super nice :)

This is my 2nd time at Piada, first time reviewing. My first time was for the yelp event for the Hall Road location. This location is somewhat hidden in Troy. When you first see it, if you were not told about Piada, you would swear it's a Spa or something when glancing on Big Beaver. First you park in the back. I already knew what I wanted but if you have never been here the large menu is off center from where you place your order. I don't like that in either location. You should be able to see what you are going to order while talking to the first chef you see, or as you are waiting in line (like Pei Wei). Regardless I went at 1pm. A few diners, not busy though. That was nice. What others have said about the music is annoying though. It's so loud and it's like you don't know where you are. Music is fine in places like this, but it doesn't have to be techno/trance at a loud volume. This place as said before is like a Chipolte but with Italian food. I placed my order and was helped by very friendly people. Everyone moved along super fast (there were at least 6 people in the line cooking/preparing) and all were talkative to me and genuinely happy to be there. It also was very clean. I saw other mentioned it was filthy when they went. I did not have that experience and it was just after what I imagined was a busy lunch rush. I got my food plus a side of the cannoli's with 2 dipping cream sauces for later tonight. You will get only 1 if you don't ask for 2!! Always ask, they WILL give it to you. It's like ketchup at McDonald's. They give you 3 but you really need 8. Ha. I had a check in offer for a free drink. If you have that offer, they will give you a large it you want it. I thought that was really great. I got an itialian soda. Same notes as my yelp tasting tip-HAVE PATIENCE THERE IS A LOT OF FOAM! You have to pour slowly and it takes forever to fill your cup. My food was awesome. It was better then the first time I dined in. Pasta was cooked just like I like it. Sauce was flavorful and fresh, not dry or thin. Sun dried tomatoes were really, really yummy. The chicken is the only blah thing. I think I would rather have it sans chicken. It was cubs of what may have been dark meat? Or maybe it's just how they cooked it. I Don't know, it just wasn't helping the dish. I got the small Chicken basil pesto pasta and I ate maybe 1/3 of it before being full. The price here is kind of high, but if you think about it you are probably going to take home 1/2 your lunch for later. That's not a bad deal. I didn't have soup this time but the tomato basil soup was so good last time I had it I would have bought again if I was hungrier. Overall, great location, good staff. I am deducting a star for the music and the chicken. I will be back though!

Qdoba meets Italian food. This place is awesome, you can get pasta, a salad or an Italian street food burrito with chicken, steak or calimari. Listen, I don't know who invented the idea of a calimari burrito but it is delicious. You can pair yours with roasted our sauteed vegetables and more variety than the typical burrito place. The veggie bar at Piada looks has beats, cucumbers, lettuce, roasted peppers, garbonzo beans and more. They also have great bread and sides like Lobster Bisque soup. Check it out for a good fast-casual meal. Go with a chicken piada with spicy tuscan sauce or the pesto chicken.

Food is pretty good, the other commenter that called it the Chipotle of Italian food was spot on. My only complaint is the service, overall pretty good but there are a couple idiot teenagers working the counter that need to go. I'm all for having fun at work but dumbassery is unnecessary. Glad they weren't responsible for actually touching my food.

Their food is delicious and I'm definitely coming back for more. They have a great variety of toppings, sauces, meats, and salads and their Italian Sodas are amazing too. I recommend the Steak Piada with Calamari on the side and the Pomodoro dipping sauce. Deserve 10 out of 5 stars.

First time at piada. Really fast service and the food was tasty. I would advise against getting a regular size pasta bowl unless you want to split it with someone. I got the regular of the pasta carbonara and have a ton for leftovers. My only complaint would be just how fattening the regular pastas are, upwards of 1200 calories! But now I can play around with the menu and make some healthier options. Overall pretty yummy. And the garlic flatbread that comes with it is delicious!!!

Oh my... To me, Piada is to Italian, what Qdoba is to Mexican. Different, fresh, but my god is it delicious! I mean as if I already didn't eat enough pasta, whatever New Years Resolution I made about staying in shape is long, LOOOONG gone (it's sad when you can feel an addiction coming on...) With that being said, I can't wait for my next trip to Piada! They have piadas (of course) pasta, salad and soup bowls. You can add a variety of veggies and meats (fresh and grilled) and sauces (hot and cold) and a pretty cool selection of italian sodas that I have to remember to try. The staff was very friendly, helpful and more than willing to answer customers who had a more than few of questions (like me). I ended up getting a regular pasta bowl (this pasta bowl is no joke, it's huge) with spinach, mushrooms and their parmesan alfredo sauce that was divine. Yummy fresh pasta bowls that takes more than one sitting to eat... O hey thighs!

We got here at the perfect time between the lunch and dinner rush. We were greeted at the door and explained the concept, made our way to the grill and ordered. The outcome of every dish depends on the creator. I would highly recommend the calamari for the protein. Delicioso! The Piada was huge so we split it and ordered a pasta bowl and two stix, artichoke and pepperoni. We were treated to dessert and it was on spot perfection. Cannoli chips which translates to empty shells and marscarpone with sugar, vanilla and chocolate chips served in two 4?Oz cups. We will come back as the ingredients were made fresh on property. For us a very good lunch option.

Love the concept of this restaurant! I was afraid that the pasta wouldn't be al dente but it was pretty solid. Ordered the basil pesto pasta with grilled salmon which was put on the grill right when I ordered it but it did take a few minutes longer to get my food. Also got the fried calamari which was ok. If you're craving pasta this is the place to go!

This place is fantastic, like a create your own pasta bowl. They also have salads and wraps called piadas. You can get a huge portion of great quality food for a decent price

not bad! i had a week-long class in this area and had piada three out of the five days. i think they are on the pricey side for fast food, but it's also really good and fresh too. there are a lot of sit-down restaurants that wouldn't be able to compete, ingredients-wise. i'm all about their salads. i had the farmer's market salad, which had standard salad stuff but also corn and avocado. it came with a lemon basil dressing that was incredible. i also had a salad using their calamari as my grill item. it was okay. the calamari was not too crispy and tasted kind of too floury still. but it wasn't awful, just not like you'd expect fresh-fried calamari. i also had pasta one day, just for variety. the pasta is super meh. it just tasted like spaghetti you'd make at home or whatever. the diavolo sauce was pretty tasty though! i should have asked for more to drown the pasta a little more. anyway it seems weird to rate a place high just because they can put together a salad, but i get really picky about salads and i usually have to sub a ton of stuff when i order one (which is rare in the first place). so having the option to do it how i wanted was very liberating haha. the people who work here are really nice and don't act annoyed with your weird special requests. they also have cute napkins with a little vespa on them. salads rang in around ten dollars. i guess that's a lot but freedom of choice is priceless.

  • Christopher K.

Thought the portion size was skimpy for what you pay and the amount of additional items they mix in was nonexisitent. 3 small pieces of Sun dried tomotoes isn't going to add flavor to anything. Do like that they include bread and like the concept of quick and the variety you can add to the pastas.

  • Brad M.

Went there for an early dinner and saw no line. Ordered the pasta bowl carbonara which came with some of their in house bread, a bowl of lobster bisque, and cannoli chips. The pasta was cooked perfect and their sauce tasted pretty good. This place would remind you of an italian version of Chipotle. The lobster bisque was amazing. Very tasty and price was reasonable. The canoli chips are empty canoni shells and provide you with what is like canoli butter. Pretty good dessert. This is a very good alternative for lunch and a lighter dinner. You can order a salad, their wrap, or a pasta bowl. You can add things to each meal. Very chipotlesk.

VERY GOOD and fast for the quality. However, the menu is quite limited so it's not something you'll want to go get all the time.

I like this place! The Piada sandwich thingies are quite tasty and come with a large selection of stuffins' you can fill them with. I usually order online which cuts down on the wait a little bit. Overall the wait is worth it because the food is very good. I've never been to Italy so I can't take any stars away. i'll definitely be back.

Not impressed. Great concept, like an Italian Chipotle, but poorly executed. The guy taking orders was loud and very rude to the two men ahead of me. Maybe he's the chef but he needs to learn some customer service if he's the first person customers contact. I ordered the Carbonara pasta. Meh. Alfredo sauce looked and tasted like a low fat bechamel, not creamy at all. Pancetta was beyond over cooked, and spinach was raw, barely wilted. If I had known it wasn't going to be cooked into the dish I would've asked for it to be omitted. A simple solution would be to pre-wilt the spinach that's going into a hot pasta dish. I really like the atmosphere and decor, just wish the food tasted better.

The menu is incredible, I love the salads they have. The balsamic chicken salad is excellent and in every meal they throw in a cheese filled wrap that is delicious And worth coming back for on it's own! Can't go wrong with this place for a quick delicious lunch.

I'm a Columbus, OH transplant, so I was excited to know that Piada has invaded Michigan. It was one of my favorite Sunday weekend recovery meals. Although a limited menu, you can create enough different combinations to keep interested for a while. Of course it is not going to measure up to a good Italian Restaurant, and neither would Chipotle vs a good Mexican one. It is simply good street food taken off the street. Put it in a food truck at "Arts Beats & Eats" and you will wake up hung over the next day saying it is the greatest food you ever ate. The only issue with this one in particular, is that they always seem to be out of the grilled vegetables when we go and you have to ask for extra sauce, or what they give you will be non existent. So far I am not blown away by the food here. The piada (wrap sandwich) was decent but something was off for me. The crispy breaded chicken was a bit heavy and the sauce had a metallic taste. I won't revisit that combo. Yesterday, I stopped in again and decided to try a pasta bowl. I choose the carbonara from the chef's menu, which is angel hair pasta (a little oily) with bacon, bruschetta tomatoes, grilled chicken (white & dark meat), fresh spinach, alfredo sauce and cheese. I wish that the ingredients had all been tossed together, but everything was layered in the bowl. Again, this was too heavy for me. I ate about a 1/3 and the rest will make nice leftovers. The gal put 3 ladles of alfredo which was too much. This wasn't a true carbonara, but more of a bacon & chicken alfredo dish. The menu here is vegetarian friendly, but not very vegan friendly. The piada and the pasta both have egg. Another major negative for me ... pepsi products. Yuck. But, this place is cute. And convenient. So, I will be back, but I need to choose something a little bit healthier next time.

For a "street-food" joint, they have really, really good calamari. I expected something tough and chewy, and instead bit into very delicious, tender, perfectly seasoned seafood. Go figure. I usually get these on a salad or wrapped in a "piada"--can't go wrong either way. They also have lovely, oh-so-frothy, mildly sweet Italian sodas. Yum!

Congrats Piada, you are officially the 100th Review for my 2013 Yelp 100 Challenge! Take a bow son, you deserve it. To say I was as giddy as a schoolgirl when I heard about this place would be the understatement of the year. It's sad what gets you excited when you get older and I am sure my 15 year old self would be giving me the stink eye of disapproval right about now. As the place is new I was expecting some minor hiccups or growing pains, but everything was smooth sailing. If I had to compare the place to something more familiar to everyone I'd say it is the Italian version of Qdoba. I ordered a Piada with Steak and while the flavors were very good, I think next time I may choose my toppings differently. As I was the one that picked them I cannot fault them for that. Don't get me wrong, individually I love everything that was on it, but when combined the flavors can change. I also ordered a Pepperoni Piada Stick and the best way to describe it is that it is a fancy upscale Bosco Stick. It was very good as was the dipping sauce they provided with it. Service wise, everything was fine, but my only "complaint" was that the one guy making my food seemed so overly enthusiastic that it came off cheesy. He'd recommend a sauce for my Piada and when I went with something different he was all like "Ahh yeah! Even better choice! Why didn't I think of that?!" Come on now dude, really? However to be honest, I'd take cheesy over asshole any day of the week. All in all I enjoyed it. I may have hyped it up in my mind a bit too much, but we shall see after a few more visits. Next time though I will definitely go with a Pasta Bowl.

Had dinner here last night and was not impressed. I actually threw most of my food away. If you're going to offer such a limited menu you've got to make sure the food is killer. You've got to bring some major flavors to the party. Let's just say there aint no party happenin here. I had the steak piada with a cup of tomato basil soup. The piada bread had a funny flavor - it almost tasted like soap or plastic. I had someone else at my table break off a piece of the piada bread and he agreed it had a weird background taste. The filling of the sandwich was okay but I could not get past the off-putting taste of that bread. The spicy diavolo(sp?) sauce was horrible. It was really salty and bitter spicy. I prefer my heat to be savory spicy or even sweet spicy but not bitter. The tomato basil soup needed help. It would benefit from some garlic, sugar, and a splash of cream. They need to look at Panera's tomato soup and Nordstrom Café's tomato soup. Both of these have really developed flavors and they are velvety smooth. I won't be back here anytime soon.

Less than impressed with Piada. The staff here are VERY rude, one of the employees literally screamed at an older gentleman behind me in line because he asked too many questions. The food was ok, nothing special. I had the chicken Piada, the sauce was far too spicy and killed the taste of everything else...and I enjoy spicy. I was just not in love with this place at all.

This place is just okay. Other yelpers are correct - it's the Chipotle of Italian food! Here's how it works: 1. Enter through the doors and pick up a menu. They're located on the wall right when you enter, at the end of the hallway before you get to the counter, and above the counter. 2. Place orders for pasta, piadas, and sides (except soup and Cannoli chips) with the first person you see. For custom salads, not sure if you order w/the first person you see or the person standing in front of all the salad stuff (I'm assuming it's the latter). 3. Order drinks, soup, and Cannoli chips at the cashier, then pay. 4. Carry your food to a table and get your own drinks. I always try to do a comprehensive yelp review, so I order as much as I can so that hopefully other yelpers can get a feel for the food... luckily the bf is on board with that plan. Here's what we tried: - chicken fritte piada: fried chicken strips in a huuuuuge burrito. I thought the dough that wrapped everything was too thick, so I didn't really enjoy it. - pasta carbonara pasta street bowl: I really enjoyed this but it's not as creamy as most other carbonaras I've tried. A small will easily feed you. btw, the chicken isn't as gross and cartilage-y as everyone describes. It's your basic dark meat chicken..very juicy and tender, and I liked it bc I happen to love dark meat! - chicken diavolo pasta: fried chicken strips in a tomato-y pasta. I think this was more white meat than dark..I liked it, as well. - piada garlic dough: it's a tortilla-like thing slathered with garlic-y butter (more butter than garlic), folded in half, and grilled. I liked it, but I wouldn't order it separately if it didn't come w/the pasta bowls. - lobster bisque soup: this was really good but kinda salty. I would get this again - calamari fritto misto: I really enjoyed this side, as well! Crispy calamari strips, but I noticed the batter fell off most of the calamari..not a big deal to me. - cannoli chips: I really liked this idea!!! I hate how cannolis sometimes come w/too much icing, so I love the idea of dipping as you go. For $2.95/bag, it's a steal! It lasted me through 2 desserts :) Things to keep in mind/I wish I knew: - for the pasta street bowls, we had to pay for our sides separately, even though the menu says "add a street side and beverage to complete your meal". Apparently, the Piada garlic dough counts as a side. It's good, but I'd rather have other sides. - pepsi products only - they have Italian sodas, but they're waaaaaay too fizzy, like others have mentioned. I didn't like the peach at ALL (actually, it wasn't fizzy..it was a gross, flat, syrup-y mess). I liked berry and orange. Except they don't taste Italian soda-y, but more like regular berry and orange sodas. - service was nice, but I feel as though there has to be a more effective and efficient way. The wait was long, and I felt like the first guy who took all our orders was doing 80% of the work, while the others didn't have to do as much. Maybe if they had more people working the grill area, it'd be more efficient? Not sure. Again, I thought Piada was just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to return, but since I shop at Somerset all the time, I do see myself coming back for some more pasta bowls!

This place literally is like an Italian Chipotle. However, in my honest opinion, I don't think it's as healthy nor quite as good. I was satisfied after eating my food, but I also felt really greasy. Everything was just a little too oily for my taste. I loved the little bread thing they give you when you order a pasta. That was good as it tasted a little like a Chinese pancake. Unfortunately, I don't get the cravings for this place like I would for Chipotle. I would probably only come back to show my friends how Italian food can be made quickly. It was fun watching them cook and their assembly line was very efficient.

This has become one of my favorite spots to eat around Troy. I tried the pasta with veggies an no sauce, not great. However, I love their calamari piada per chef's recommendation, and their balsamic chicken salad. I have also tried the farmer's market salad, and it's also good (although it only comes in a regular size). Overall, service has been great, most of the staff is energetic and excited. My only complaint would be on one cashier who is usually cold and just not great at customer service. Finally, the reason why I don't give this place 5 stars is because there is no wine and espresso.

Hit this up a second time, still fresh and fast! Good service and good fresh, flavorful food! Last month I met my sis here for a lunch date. Thing was we were freezing like ice pops in the freezer box! Sadly the high ceilings I am sure cost a fortune to keep that place warm in winter. However, layered up is hard to eat sometimes. I really enjoy building a vegetable salad and adding steak. They let me add all kinds of great items to it! I think for a quick counter run to build a bowl they got a good thing happening. Being gluten sensitive I don't get to try much else here but what I can eat is good.

Had lunch here today. What a fun & clever concept. The build your own pastas, salads '& sandwiches are fun & delist! Definitely will go back. Try it!

First time was last night about 7:45pm.. Not crowded but not empty. Didn't know how to order and appreciated the staff's patience in explaining. Picked a diavolo pasta that was divine -- crispy chicken with angel hair pasta, spicy tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese and the delicious piada garlic bread with cheese. Hubby had the chicken pesto pasta and was thrilled.. All I heard from him was ooh aha and yummm. Love the design of the place. Bathroom was clean and modern. No alcohol but we eased on over to another restaurant after eating for drinks. Great place!

I really like it here. It's very close to my work and I usually go here on my lunch hour. I like the quickness of it, makes me feel like I'm making a better choice than eating at Wendy's! My only issue is the lack of pasta choices. They only have angle hair pasta and I don't like many types of sauces on that type of pasta, however, a very neat place that's great for lunch and dinner!

I think that with a few minor tweaks this place could be pretty decent. My wife and I went to the Troy location this evening. We walked into an empty restaurant at 6:20 pm. There was one customer in front of us and one couple in the dining room. There were at least 6 employees behind the counter, one on the register, one poor girl doing all the line cooking and 4 others standing around talking. Wife and I ordered build it yourself pasta, she with the steak, ( which was flavorful and delicious) and the meatball for me. I added sausage, we both got sauce diavolo. Side of garlic dough to split. The sausage was good, but the meatball tasted like a breadcrumb bomb with a few sprinkles of meat. Very nasty mouthfeel. Like meatloaf from a greasy spoon. I would much rather have a smaller, tasty meatball than this giant blah monstrosity. The pasta was gummy, slightly undercooked and had been sitting there for some time before we arrived, as was the garlic dough. It was tough as a roof shingle. The food in general was not hot. The only heat came from the sauce which was quite decent. As we dined , we discussed why a place in the heart of the big beaver business corridor was nearly deserted in the middle of dinner. Here's why; the gummy cold pasta, rock hard garlic dough and to top it off, the increasingly loud conversation of the staff! I'm not kidding, the 6 employees were speaking so loudly we could barely concentrate on our meal! At one point 2 employees came in the front door and began shouting over our heads to the staff behind the counter! Mr or ms manager/owner, if you're wondering why you can't make the rent in this location, it's because you aren't paying attention. A place this deserted should not have trash bins at the drink station and at the exit that are literally overflowing with trash while the staff stands around. Cook pasta and flatbreads to order, trust me, people will wait 3 minutes for hot tasty food. I want to try this place again, it has potential to be good and is a clever concept, but not until the staff is trained and the food is fresh and hot! As a final note, the pasta and heaps of bread that had been sitting there until we walked in were still sitting under the heatlamps when we left half an hour later.

In the style of a fast casual joint where you order and customize to your tastes, Piada is specializing in pasta, salads and wrap-style sandwiches. The food is good, lots of sauce and topping options. My suggestion is this: do NOT over-do it. You'll want to add a little bit of everything you like, but it will be too much and the flavors will clash and you won't come away satisfied with your experience. Instead, pick a sauce (or two) and a few well-chosen toppings, and get yourself a happy bowl of tummy-love. Try one of the piada sticks on the side for a real treat (my favorite is the cheese-only, and i ask for pomodoro sauce instead of the parmesan dressing it comes with). The location feels odd, but there's plenty of parking in the back, and lots of seating for dining in. Piada is a great choice for a quick pasta fix while you're out running around, or winding down after a busy day.

Went here today with coworkers, it was convenient since we work almost across the street. I was impressed with how fast it was! We don't have a lunch break time limit but we were back in the office about 45-50 minutes later. I got a pasta bowl with chicken, pesto, pomodoro sauce, mushrooms, bruschetta, etc. It's almost TOO much food, I'd guesstimate 1-2 pounds of pasta. I ate about 1/2 of it and will bring the rest home. I also tried one of their parmiggiano (sp?) Piada sticks which was great, kind of like a Bosco stick but more fried. I would go here again but I think I want a sandwich next time, they're a bit more manageable portion-size. They're doing a winter gift card special right now (holidays) where if you buy a $20 gift card you get a $10 one, which is a pretty good deal. I did find a piece of steak or something in my bowl, and part of it was hard (bone or something?) which knocks it down to a 4 in my opinion. The music there was also really loud, if we're being nitpicky - gives it kind of a Hollister vibe as one coworker put it.

**NOte: this review is based on the salad item only** I finally went to try this place for lunch since it's down the street from where I work. I got a custom salad with the seasonal grilled veggies on spinach and the Tuscan dressing. Ingredients looked fresh and the staff on the line were friendly and efficient; however I was disapointed with the Tuscan dressing. It was spicy as it states however it was seriously lacking flavor. I kept eating, waiting for a burst of flavor. It needed salt or lemon zest or something to give it a kick. It was bland and maybe I'm a harsher critic because I make my own dressings at home and have a higher standard, I don't know. Next time I will try the balsamic dressing and I will try a piada. The atmoshpere was cute. Very chic decorating and inviting.

After seeing and hearing an ample amount of hype, we decided to stop in... The hype was not met. The custom pasta bowl I got was layered and not mixed..as in ingredient on top of ingredient on too of sauce and subsequently more ingredients. By the time I dug in, it was lukewarm at best. The sauces didn't have the flavor I expected, and the pasta was a bit greasy. The "pancetta" tastes like regular ol' bacon. We also got the calamari piada, which was good for about 2 bites. The "sticks" were disgusting. On top of everything, the restaurant was disgustingly dirty, food all over every table, trash on the floor and in the parking lot even. Our one visit was undoubtedly our last. If I want good, quick Italian "street food", I'll stick to my kitchen and cook something I know tastes good and will be hot.

Place was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the food was awesome! Italian with a twist, had the calamari piada and the lobster bisque soup. Kids had spaghetti and meatballs and the other couple we were with had the steak piadas. The Italian berry soda is a must try it's excellent! All 6 of us were full and satisfied and we all ate and had beverages for about $40 so great food for the price!!! A must try!!

Update: I am officially dialing out of Piada. I have now had the displeasure of ordering here several times due to the location and my office. Each time - something is messed up. When you go in - the line is a disorganized hell. I get he whole street food assembly line shouting thing - but if you're going to have this type of a business model, make sure it works. Half of the time even the preps can't hear what you are asking for, which often leads to messed up food. Multiple times I have stood there and said "NO ONIONS" only to watch them scoop them on. In the myriad of times I have eaten here my food has only been correct ONCE and that is when I ordered online. Do yourself a favor and skip it. Not worth the price and hassle. (Original Post) I ordered carry-out - the Basalmic Chicken Salad. Note: ALWAYS GET THE DRESSING ON THE SIDE. My poor salad is literally drowning in a sea of dressing. So much so, that the grease from the dressing has permeated the take away container. It's like my salad is an artistic representation of the teenage face during puberty - an oil slick of problems, preventing me from enjoying all else around. The salad looked like it was tasty, chicken, pecans, tomato & feta. However the dressing was simply to heavy and made the salad inedible. The chicken was also a little sketchy to me. It does not seem to be a good quality of meat, chewy and rubbery in the wrong places (not that chewy chicken is ever the right place...) The pasta cabonera just looked sad. On top were two bacon "wafer". Really these were two microwaved strips of bacon pulled into a circle. The spinach sat under the bacon, absorbing all of the grease. The poor spinach was also resting atop the pasta cream sauce, thus marinating itself in a pool of mixed grease. By the time I opened the container the spinach resembled nothing more than wilted sadness. The dried out angel hair pasta laid flat on the bottom had started to harden and form into a rock. All in all - I don't get the hype. Am I missing something? This was awful.

When it first opened was great. Gone down hill since then and it's only been s few month. Possibly because the night staff is not as good or friendly as the lunch staff when I am used to going in.

Piada is an interesting concept. After going a couple if times, i can say that the food is decent. I wish the selections were a bit more creative but it is what it is. The employees seemed insecure on the flow and needed a bit more knowledge about their menu even if its up on the board. Keeping in mind that they are fairly new, I will check in again and hope to bump up my rating.

Fun concept! I've had the balsamic chicken salad a few times already and I think it is a great salad with lots of flavors and textures. The ambiance is friendly and uncluttered. I like the communal tables! Keep up the good work Piada!

We stopped in here for a brief bite before breastfeeding class last Wednesday. I was really hungry because I've been trying to put the clamps on the size of my portions. I loved the menu concept. Italian style burritos, fresh pasta's, salads and boundless customizability. Because of this health kick I've been on I went for the balsamic chicken salad. Unbeknownst to me this salad came with some of the Piada garlic dough. Probably doesn't jibe with my new found calorie consciousness but a little nibble never hurt anybody. At first I thought it was just Italian tortilla bread, then I started nibbling toward the center and discovered the garlicky, cheesy sweet spot of heaven. My nibbles became dribbles down my shirt as I shoveled this delicious circle of life into my receptacle. The salad had these candied pecans on it that tilted up the sweet meter right where I like it. Even though I thought I was ordering healthy I know this tasted way too good to be true. I need to understand that just because it is a salad doesn't mean it's healthy. When something is doused in dressing, cheese and candied nuts it means I'm getting the "who are you trying to kid" salad. I'm not sure if I liked this place so much because I'd been focusing so much on healthy food before going that I'd forgotten how good being fat tastes. Whatever the case, I want to buy stock, open franchises and return as soon as possible!

After hearing about this place for quite some time, I decided to check it out for myself. Upon first walking in the place is really modern and trendy. More importantly, the food is also really great. I normally get pasta with chicken, pomodoro sauce, and a ton of various veggies. You really can't beat the price of this place as you get a TON of food. Plus, they seem to offer coupons a lot which is fantastic! If you've been thinking about stopping into Piada, I highly suggest that you do. I haven't ordered anything I didn't like.

I really want to like this place, but it's just mediocre in my opinion. My first time there I tried the chicken pesto pasta bowl, which was pretty good aside from the weird, tiny pieces of dark and chewy chicken. Most recently, I ordered online and created my own pasta bowl. To my surprise, when you add mushrooms...they are not cooked. Who wants raw mushrooms in their pasta?? Not me! Very disappointing. I did, however, choose the crispy chicken which was way better than the chicken that came in the chicken pesto bowl. Like another reviewer pointed out, I think it's weird that bread comes with the chef's items but must be ordered separately when you create your own. Lastly, I wish there were more noodle choices! As much as I enjoy angel hair pasta, sometimes I'm cravin' rigatoni.

This place is decent. The bread is okay, but the pasta is typically very good. I always go for the chicken with either the pesto or diavolo sauce. Delicious. The prices seem a bit high to me, though. If you build your own pasta bowl, they don't give you bread. But if you order a separate, chef menu item they do. The price is the same, but they punish me for wanting a customized dish? This seems backwards to me; you force me to order your way or get less food - lame. Not the best, not the worst. Get the Italian soda, though. It's great!

I came in after my friends talked about their experience. Overall, I like the place, but I'm walking away with only a mediocre feeling. The reasons for this could be that I just came at a bad time, maybe. The chef was not on the line, the staff was waiting for food to be made fresh. All of that by itself is excusable, as long as there is good quality control. Looking at it, I guess I'm taking a Ramsey approach - order and observe and taste. Well, pasta was out of the hot bowl and sitting on the counter waiting for the missing ingredients. So was my Piada bread after it was heated up. Then there was a wait, and while I got the last garlic dough of the last batch, I saw the people behind me get fresh ones. Why is that important? Well the fresh ones were not as heavily grilled. When the chef returned, the kitchen picked up the pace again. However, there was no quality control that got the half cold items replaced with fresh ones. Maybe if the chef wasn't catching the kitchen up things might have been different. As for my order, they didn't get me my piada stick, but at this point the waiting had me not order it again at the register. My pasta had been sitting on the counter while the meat was being cooked and cooled. Once ingredients were on hand, service was fast and good. But this wait, coupled with the now cooled food just doesn't make one happy. Good parts... Well, the meat the guy behind me got looked better than my pieces. Some of my pieces were really tasty, but I had more tough pieces than I think I should have had. Quality control when I was served seemed a bit off. Watching while I'm eating showed my experience may not be typical, but it did happen. The difference being the energetic and professional chef at the helm and the grill. On the cleanliness side - since I read about it in other reviews - there was no issue with cleanliness. The staff cleans when there is break in customers and the usage and swapping of utensils is being done to perfect cleanliness standards. Staff is friendly and energetic, so Piada will get a second chance, but I'll have to have a better experience then to want to come back a third time.

I, for one, am a big fan of the Chipotlization of ethnic cuisines. Kouzina does this in Royal Oak, and now we have this. Pasta lends itself well to this (as long as you are not a purist). You ask for pasta, select a meat, a sauce, and other toppings. Nothing flashy or authentic, but they use good ingredients and you can eat reasonably healthy. You could also get a piada, which substitutes a tortilla for the pasta, or a salad. For something light, you can go with one of the above with a side of soup or salad. I really loved the tomato basil soup. For the time being though, I like Chipotle more.

  • Ashley Z.

Piada, like so many others have noted, is like an Italian Chipotle (and in my opinion, even better because I prefer Italian over Mexican). I have to admit, since it first joined "Downtown Troy," it's been a family favorite. Our family loves picking up a Piada to go on the way home, or eating in -- it makes a nice lunch before hitting Somerset. My favorite memory of Piada has to be when my sister picked me up after my Calculus BC AP exam at Walsh College (I skipped the rest of school hehe ^^ I know, I'm kind of a BA), and we had lunch there before going shopping at Target. Piada really hit the spot after that taxing exam; it was a great touch to a fun afternoon. Alright, done with the sentimalities, onto the review! You'll notice I haven't detailed what food I previously ordered at Piada. Well, you see, that's because I usually get the same thing (and I may or may not be obsessed with my order). My "norm" is a pasta bowl with calamari, diavolo sauce, a healthy squirt of pesto (don't forget the pesto! It really adds a special touch), some of their stir-fry mushroom & zucchini, bruschetta tomatoes, and a little bit of cheese. I don't want to brag, but my order is seriously TO DIE FOR. Mmm I'm salivating just thinking about it, especially since I know there's leftovers in the fridge that I'll be having for lunch tomorrow. I'm also obsessed with the garlic Piada dough (the one that's folded in half, not the stick). Delicious, although it's really just butter and garlic brushed on a Piada. Still, mmmmmm. The cannoli chips are also pretty tasty (albeit messy), and the lobster bisque is a bit salty, but still good. Italian soda isn't anything impressive. I have to admit, the taste can get kind of repetitive, and if I eat it too often within a certain period of time, I will get sick of it. I wish they had more pastas besides just angel hair and more sauces to choose from. That would surely mix things up a bit. There was one incident, though, when my dad brought home carry out for me, and it tasted awful. He ordered one of the pasta bowls off of the chef's menu (the one with rosemary chicken) and quite frankly, it was disgusting. It tasted bland and boring. I couldn't even tell if there was sauce in it, although there was supposedly pesto and Alfredo. There was nothing in it but rosemary chicken and sundried tomatoes, both of which I hate (I think rosemary tastes like trees - ick!). It was barely edible even after I shook salt in it. That horrible meal is what docked the fifth star. If that was any indication of the rest of the menu items, then don't trust the menu; trust your own intuition and make your own pasta. The free garlic Piada was hardly consultation for the horrid pasta. Although I've been to Piada numerous times, I realize my experience is not great because I've only ever gotten my signature pasta bowl. I kind of want to try a Piada, but I don't know how I'd feel about the raw veggies (another note - I wish they had cooked spinach for the pasta). It doesn't sound too appetizing, and pasta is my weakness. This place gets pretty busy during lunchtime, which is when all the businessmen and women that work on Big Beaver come for lunch. When I came with my sister after the AP, it coincided during that time and we couldn't even find a seat. We had to sit at the communal table across from another lady, which I found quite awkward. I think they'd fare better by ditching the communal and having more separate tables. Obviously, though, Piada is very popular among the office workers! The workers there are very friendly and kind and will sometimes rope you into conversations while you're trying to refill your drink. Sometimes they seem almost too enthusiastic, almost cheesy. I guess they love working there? Random note, but the bathrooms are nicely furnished with chrome and red accents. Very posh. I love the black and white photography. Well, I'm closing this review on a positive note. I will probably continue to go and support Piada for many months and years to come. Hopefully I will branch out and try new things. And finally, remember not to get the rosemary chicken pasta bowl item on the chef's menu!

Ingredients were great and the staff was super. The Yelp deal made it a fantastic value, though I would still definitely go again with using it. My husband loved the steak piada, and I thought the calamari was great! The pasta noodles seemed a touch bland under all the toppings, so I'll probably opt for a calamari piada next time. That's just me though, I'm sure 99% of people would like the pasta. Cute interior, too. Can't wait to go back!!

I'm happy to say I had a fantastic first visit here. They just opened up today and I'd never tried their food. Let's just say it's the Chipotle of Italian food. Very clean with a great atmosphere inside. There is plenty of staff too so I'm confident that they would fill your order quickly. I ordered two Piadas online and a dip for the side. Having just got out of work I was pretty hungry and drove home. I was bummed out to discover the dip wasn't in there. I then drove about 15mins back to the restaurant. When I arrived they told me that item was actually not available. But they more than made up for it with great customer service and plenty of free extras! Definitely try the Piadas! They are huge and worth the price. The three flavors of free Piada Sticks are going to be a new addiction for sure! They also have a delicious parmesan dipping sauce for your sticks that was an absolute delight! Keep rockin' guys and welcome to Troy!

My boyfriend (girlfriend writing this) and I went to Piada after seeing it on Yelp. He wanted Italian, but I was in sweatpants so we wanted something casual. The restaurant was casual, but the decor was still very modern and it was very clean. The food was unreal. Amazing!!! My boyfriend loved the pasta. I'm gluten free, so I usually leave Italian restaurants unsatisfied. That wasn't the case at Piada. I had the farmers market salad. One of my all time favorite salads. I would recommend this place to everyone!

What a gem! I decided to stop in and try this new joint and I will say I am very impressed. I was worried this would be one of those chain places that's scattered across the country & served subpar food. Wrong! This place is concentrated mostly in Ohio and parts of Indiana/michigan! Love the Midwest ties! I had an Italian sausage piada. It was so delicious, fresh, and flavorful! Great seasoning and the perfect amount of spice. Can't wait to come back & try their other dishes

I was really starting to like this place. on memorial day I went in a 2. I ordered sausage and was told that I was the first person to order sausage that day. It didn't dawn on me that they wouldn't toss and replace the meat on a regular interval according to health regulations. I can't say that they hadn't swapped out the meat once but I can tel you that it had been a very long time since they had. There was an outer hard shell to the sausage nugget I bit into I figured it was a little over cooked but that wasn't it. it had dried out quite a bit forming an outer layer of crust. it wasn't charred I stopped eating immediately. Like I said, I was starting to like this place. maybe I'll go back in the morning or on a busier day, but a problem like this really makes you wonder what else they're doing wrong. This is probably the end of Piada for me.

Great addition to "downtown Troy"! This place is basically an Italian version of Chipotle. I got a large piada bowl with calamari, diavolo sauce (I've heard diavolo and pesto together is even better), and an assortment of grilled veggies. It was very tasty, although the pasta was pretty plain- it'd be nice if they offered different types. The staff is extremely friendly and they all seem to really love working there. Keep in mind that this place gets really packed during lunch time!

I love this place. Please open one up in West Bloomfield! I've only tried the pastas and the salads... yummy yum! I will not give less than four stars because this is just plain delicious. I do wish they mixed the pastas with all your ingredients like they do to the salads, but it's totally not a deal-breaker at all. But oddly enough I am going to agree with another commenter here. WHAT IS UP WITH THE CHICKEN AT PIADA??! ...It tastes like cartilage or fat or something seriously gross. I've been to Piada in another state and it wasn't like that at all. Something is wrong with that chicken. Please buy fresh, grass-fed chicken like Chipotle and you will have lines and lines and lines of customers... :)

This is a really interesting place. Intimidating at first when you walk in, but you're immediately greeted at the door and told how the menu works. Once you get up to the counter, you see all these fresh ingredients (and let me tell you, the steak looked fantastic). The prices are unbelievably reasonable. $7.25 for a pasta bowl with calamari and all the toppings you could ask for. But yeah, great food, great atmosphere, delicious Italian soda, and way cheaper than it looks. Can't go wrong.

I know that most people keep repeating the same thing but... yes... This is a higher end Italian version of Chipotle (awh mah gawd! Ay luuuvv Chipawtlay!) . I first visited here two nights ago. My future husband was taking me to different places to pick up every craving I had that day. I wanted Italian and this gem showed up. We walked in just before they were going to close. Normally, we aren't "those folks" but since I couldn't break my fast until much later it was the only way. As we walked up to the counter an incredibly friendly gentleman by the name of John smiled at us then inquired if we had ever eaten there. We replied that we had not so he proceeded to explain how everything worked. After that we asked for a pasta bowl (creamy chicken pesto I believe?) And he even added just a little bit extra pasta as well as artichokes to the dish because he remembered my saying I liked them earlier. He then recommended we try the Italian Soda's which we did. They tasted like drinkable sherbert with sprite mixed in. So delicious! We finally got home and tried the pasta along with garlic bread & cannoli bites. My reaction? Let's just say I went there the next night for dinner again!! Haha. My guy even claimed the garlic bread was the best he has ever had. Amazing food plus the great service? I would say this place is a total win! For those of you going to Maggianos for some quick Italian... don't get me wrong, it's great but if you're looking for a place you can get home style Italian dishes without dressing up or for a cheaper price I totally suggest coming here.

So glad Piada opened in Troy - - this is a concept I've been waiting for. They have a great selection of toppings, may be too fancy/frou-frou for some, but good enough variety for most people. For only $7 or so I received a huge bowl of pasta with toppings such as sun dried tomatoes and calamari, enough for 2 meals. My husband was indecisive between pasta and a wrap, so they made him pasta in a wrap! Only complaint is that the sausage is a little too spicy.

Great atmosphere, friendly service, FAST and the food is EXCELLENT. I've tired all 3 options numerous times with all different combinations. The Piada, pasta and salad. Haven't had a bad meal yet! My go-to lunch place. :)

This place is like a Chipotle for Italian food. I'm not exactly sure if Italy has street food... but anyway, I think the salads here are amazing. YUM! It must be all the grilled veggies and meats that are available to be mixed in. Try the skinny vin dressing... it's great.

Great place! Very friendly staff that are willing to help you out with any questions. Italian soda was great! My only complaint is the chicken in my pasta. It was in very large unappetizing chunks. I just pushed them all to the side because they looked too weird to eat.

Oh Piada. Your grand opening has been a blessing and a nightmare. I absolutely love your establishment. I was really out of my comfort zone walking in about a month ago. OMG! Fantastic service and even better food. I eat there once a week and if my waist line allowed, I would be their every day. The pasta bowl is amazing. I get it with chicken, triple helping of mushrooms with the diavolo sauce and fresh cheeses. OMG that along with a cheese stick and the cannoli chips and dip is to die for. I seriously think about your store everyday and have to talk myself OUT of going. If I could afford to eat out every day, I would pick you every day of the week. Told a ton of my co workers and they flipped out when I got them on board. The chef even gave my coworker that does the picking up for us a very nice piada carrying bag. I want mine!!! LOL Hope this is around for a long, long time!! Thank you for coming to MI and especially Troy Piada!!! You are my FAVORITE!

The Piada was delicious with the chicken every bit as good as was reviewed by Rachel V. The Diet Pepsi even had a great taste to it. The bathroom was very clean. What brought my rating down was the bad view out the window and the pushy and jerky manager who tried to tell me what to order, rudely told the person making the Piada that he had the bread the wrong way in front of me, and said see you tomorrow. With all the vast eateries available in Troy, this may be enough to keep me from going there again.

I was excited to try this place because I love street food of all types. However, I was really disappointed. The concept is good but the execution is lacking. The "piada" meat lacks proper seasoning and us flavorless. It also was not "savory" which is the key to any street food. The piada shell (for lack of a better word) was neither flaky or chewy but instead tasted kinda stale despite the fact that they are made fresh to order. It must be the dough recipe that needs tweaking. I've been twice and won't go back.

loved this place. i got the pasta bowl that came with the garlic dough and my husband got the piada. the piada wasnt that good; i think id prefer a chipotle burrito over that. but my pasta bowl was delicious, and the portions were very generous (i never finished it). the garlic dough is awesome! it reminded me of the pan fritte i had in italy, which had chewy hot cheese oozing out of dough :D

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
