Great selection of healthy salads, full of flavor but not calories. Great place to eat right and not leave feeling hungry.

We had never been to this restaurant. The inside was well laid out with comfortable seating and plenty of parking outside. The service was very good. We were served a small dish of sliced pickles when the waitress first greeted us...interesting and delicious. :) My Gyro was excellent! The seasoning on the meat was perfect. The sauce was thick, plentiful and also seasoned perfectly. We ordered onion rings which while they tasted pretty good and were huge I was put off that they were so darn greasy...I know what did I expect, they are onion rings, LOL. Mom ordered an egg salad sandwich. She complained that it had no taste, I tried it and I'll be darned there was no taste to the egg salad, if it had any kind of taste it would be the taste of water; odd. I thought that the lack of taste meant they didn't use mayo or mustard. The toast/bread was good and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. We will be back

As with many of my food adventures, I stopped at this place on an impulse. I required food and they served food. Moreover, the parking lot was relatively busy for an early Saturday afternoon. Always a good sign. I was definately not disappointed. The place is your basic diner/coney, but with nicer decor and a better menu. The place is also remarkably clean, which is a plus. I had a bowl of chili and a sandwich. The chili was clearly homemade, and the sandwich was good, with a generous amount of sandwich filling. Hubby had a burger, and reported that it was good. The service was attentive. It's a great place, and I'll definately be back when I'm in the area.

I just discovered this wonderful treat and will be back for more very soon! Clean establishment, impeccable service, large portions at a generous price. Every bite was delicious. Try the onion rings!! Crispy and mouth watering flavor! Delicious!

This was my first visit, and I came for lunch from work. I don't know why this is my first time here, but it definitely won't be the last. The service was fast. The food was good. The place is clean. What more can you ask for in a small diner style restaurant? Oh yeah, reasonable prices... I'm good and full for $5.03!!!

We had gone in once nearly a year ago and were underwhelmed. We decided to give it another chance and we are so glad we did. They have outstanding service and really good food. Prices are reasonable and the family that owns it could not be nicer. We walk in always to be greeted with smiles and quick service. My family frequents this establishment twice a week now and it is absolutely our favorite family restaurant. Compared to Zorba's, Kol's, National Coney Island and any other family type establishments in the area, this one is absolutely in another league altogether. Great breakfasts and lunches. Dinner specials are always good. Highly recommended!

They seem to use very minimal to no salt and spices, this isnt inheritely bad, it's a personal preference thing. Portions are regular in size (as shown on the photo I posted), although my lunch companion thougt that for a 6'2'' man it was too little. We both ordered full lunch meals. Service was great, attentive and nice. They have a lot of waiters, approx. one per three tables which makes the experience so much better! I'm glad they care. Menus are rich in choices, they offer a huge selection of salads. Interior was clean, neat and well maintained in all aspects. Definitely a superior choice over any other coney island.

How to start, the owner/server is simply amazing. She knows how to treat her customers. She is cheerful and nice. Start a conversation on each table and ask you how everything was every few minutes and when you are checking out. The food is just perfect. The Swiss cheese mushroom omelette had a huge amount of melted Swiss cheese of the good quality and as big of mushroom. I just love this place and I really respect the business owners who treat their customers the way they deserve. Thank you.

The first time experience a few weeks ago was great, so I visited again with my friend. Food was good, but unfortunately, we had terrible service. The waitless did not serve pita bread with Greek salad, and the next time I could get hold of her was 15 min. later and by then I finished my salad. When we asked why not pita bread today, she said baby Greek does not come with pita bread. We thought it is unusual. Then 3 minutes later she brought full load on a plate of pita bread. We had to say it was too late. She still charged full $5.75 for a small portion of salad, without bread. Okay, this might be a minor thing but we do not feel like going back again. Maybe we had a bad luck.

Gyros on the menu but no saganaki... Waitresses in the restaurant but no service... Questions about the food with no answers... I feel like this is one of those restaurants where the family keeps bringing foreign family members in to work for them and it really sucks because ordering food was difficult because of the language barrier and the staff is just overall not very pleasant... They're lucky I have them two stars...

I have to bump it down a notch, although it REALLY pains me to do so. We go here often and 9/10 it's perfect but I had an annoying experience here last night. New sign on the door ordered me to try the new nachos - so I did. We had our least favorite server last night - she's a middle-eastern or Greek woman, and she's just not that friendly. Here's the rundown: - Husband and I get sat, we order drinks and he immediately leaves to wash his hands in the restroom. - She brings drinks back and hubby is still gone - she asks me for my order right away, which I replied that hubby wasn't back yet - give us a few minutes. - The MOMENT he returns to the table she comes back to take orders...okay, he hasn't even looked at the menu yet, so I have to tell her we need more time again. - Meanwhile, she brought me the wrong drink and I ask her for another one. - She comes back to take orders and I asked her, verbatim, "can you tell me about the nachos?" She replies, "yes, they're very good, the man over there ordered them and he liked them." I replied, "that's great, can you tell me what's ON the nachos?" She then tells me it's got taco meat, onions, cheese and tomatoes. I say I'll take them. - I had to ask again, after about 10 minutes, for my correct drink because she never brought it. - Then the 10 year-old in me hears some farting noises coming from a big squeeze bottle behind the kitchen counter. My husband and I giggle and then I'm horrified to discover that the noise was from a bottle of squeeze cheese straight from the refrigerator. I wasn't horrified at the squeeze cheese - but that the cheese came ice cold from the fridge onto my nachos and then straight to my table! COLD NACHOS!? - I call the waitress back and politely ask her to warm up the nachos as they're ice cold. She unhappily agrees and I can hear the cook moan & groan loudly in utter annoyance in the kitchen when she asks him to warm them up. Really? The other major malfunction here is that the nachos came not only with taco meat, cheese, onions and tomatoes as earlier described, but they came with olives, lettuce and jalapenos as well. I don't have a problem with these toppings, per se, but I would've liked to have had them listed when I asked earlier. Worst part was TWO kinds of onions (red & white), both cut way too big (like salad size 3" strings of onions). So it was a nightmare to eat and the grease pool at the bottom of the plate was just nasty. Bottom line is that I still love The Maple Leaf, and will return there all the time - but DON'T EAT THE NACHOS!

Above average for a diner. Good size portions, fast, and clean. Was crowded for Tuesday at 1pm so it's a popular spot. Will definately return.

I love a "Parisian" omelet just as much as anyone else. I have enjoyed foods made with artisan ingredients or romantic sounding names like huevos rancheros. Ranchers' eggs wouldn't sound as flashy on a menu I guess. Lately I've been annoyed by many of these places. I want to go somewhere and relax and eat. I want to be able to talk to the person or persons at my table without having to yell. I'm surrounded by hipsters wearing wool caps in 70 degree temps or women in platform heels and full makeup at 8 in the morning. I really just want to eat good food in comfortable calm surroundings. I don't need to be surrounded by local art or audibly bombarded by some indie band employing a citar and techno beat and signing about freeing Tibet at 8 in the morning. So, I'm always looking for a neighborhood diner with good food and relaxed atmosphere. The Maple Leaf family restaurant in Troy fills this spot. The owners and staff are friendly and responsive. The food is your typical diner food but very good. The restaurant is clean with an attractive design. It's not loud so I can carry on a conversation when with people. They have free Wi-Fi to sit and read or write when eating alone. I love this place. You are not going to get me to say that very often.

I ordered a chicken dish although I don't recall the name it had a wondeful cream sauce on it and the scalloped potatoes were awesome. The dish of pickles they bring every table taste homemade and are a nice touch. The staff was friendly and treated us like old friends. I was a nice family atmosphere with good seating and good food for the money. A great deal in these hard times.

Terrible food made with the lowest quality ingredients. I shouldn't even complain about a free lunch (office buys lunch once a week) but it really is that bad. Last spinach pie I got was burnt on the bottom and undercooked on the top. Plus it tasted like stale grease. The Greek salad is the worst I have ever tasted. The fries are always soggy. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Never dined in so I can't speak to the level of service they offer. But with food this bad does that even matter?

Great family restaurant. It is family owned, the type of place where the whole family works. The owners were very nice and went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied. Food is like a nicer version of Coney Island, but a more diverse and well rounded menu. Clean restaurant. Service and food were good and quick. We were there at the end of the night and they gave us free ice cream as dessert. Great place, will be back

Friendly, clean, reasonably priced, lots of good menu options. What more could you want? Service is usually pretty good, and there's are $2.99 breakfast specials on weekdays.

Really good food! Service is great and quick. My favorite is the chicken melt sandwich with fries. Simply delicious and hot. The fries are the best though, once you have their fries you will be hooked. Clean and comfortable too.

A great new restaurant that opened by my house. Whenever I am in the mood for a healthy meal and don't have time to cook it myself, I go here. They use fresh vegetables and fresh food. I have a sensitive stomach, and never have issues when I go here. The prices are reasonable and the waitstaff is friendly. It definitely would appear to be a Mom and Pop shop. Another reviewer said their food is like a coney island but better, and I'm going to agree with that, but add that the food is WAY better than a coney island. So happy to have a nice restaurant nearby. I hope they stay!
