I believe the management has changed in recent years, as the name changed from the bland "Country House Kitchen" to a more personalized and updated "Danley's Country House Kitchen". A number of factors decreased my likelihood of stopping by to check out the old place--however; I've been able to check it out recently. I was not disappointed. I've been there 2-3 times in the last 2 weeks or so. I'm surprised by the pleasantly flavorful seasonings and sauces this "country house" uses. Even the dishes were more "exotic" than I would've expected in a conservative area on the outskirts of Adrian. The ambiance and decor is a much more modern look than most places near the Adrian area--so it's nice to have a restaurant attempting to keep up with some modern trends. It's not so much "urban/industrial chic", but rather more "homestyle chic". There are 4 different seating options: booth, table, bar top, or High-top tables, so depending on your guests with you, you have a good variety of choices. Ultimately, I think "Danley's" is a great stop whether for Wednesday night dinner, Friday night drinks, or a Sunday morning brunch.

Good food and beer selection. Bad service. It's disappointing that the place has such poor service. But the schizophrenic split between bar and dining room and the massive menu probably does not help matters here.

We love the newer Country House... Nice menu, great beer selection and comfortable atmosphere. Had ribs tonight (we split the full rack). They were fall off the bone -my style (yeah)! And very good. Baked potatoes came out hot and had plenty of sour cream. Did you guys just start doing the bread baskets?? Nice touch -whole grain and white in the basket. Thanks for the great meal! With the 8.2% beer-Mountain Town Train Wreck Amber, I'm feeling pretty good!!

Decided to stop as it is only 1 of 2 places to eat between Chelsea and the north edge of Adrian, and the Hungry Wolf in Manchester, we have already tried. My hubs said he hadn't been to this restaurant since he was a kid. The outside looks like an other non-descript Michigan small town eatery - which is NOT what we found when walking in. Nicely decorated, family-style sports pub and restaurant. You are greeted by a large chalkboard listing a fabulous selection of micro brews/imports and specialties on draft. I order the a Scoth Pale Ale and hubs had a Bells. The waitstaff was nice and attentive. Nice pours for the price and couldn't believe the price points on the menu too. Alcoholic beverages were CHEAP (ok, compared to Ann Arbor) and the food was nice selection. I am told they are famous for their broasted chicken. I don't know what that is, because once I saw that they had a catfish dinner on the menu for $11.95, my choice was made. It was a good size portion and I couldn't believe I ate the whole thing. Perfectly cooked, breaded and served piping hot. It was heaven! I looooovvveeee good catfish. mmmm! I opted for a cup of the soup of the day - which was clam chowder. It was excellent. Not from GFS or a can. It was real, cream-based, chunky and well seasoned. It was very thin for a chowder, but I am not complaining after tasting it. They have a small but interesting selection of appetizers. I ordered the garlic fries as they sounded good and maybe a little dangerous - the way that my husband wasn't going to kiss me the rest of the night-loaded with garlic - kind of dangerous. I see the potential in the fries, but this order wasn't cooked enough. The fries needed to be crispier to hold up to the wet diced garlic pieces, but I see how they are popular. Hubs ordered a Loaded Taco potato. The menu listed about 4 or 5 loaded potatoes and if you thing that's not enough to fill you for dinner, it's a mistake. Plate-sized pile of toppings with a large baker potato underneth. I hope to make this a regular spot to meet friends for dinner and drinks for the evening. Definitely a must try if you find yourself at M52 and 50 and want some good food.

Just love this place. The vegetable fried rice is delicious! The wait staff needs some training though. They are way to high strung and need to slow it down...be attentive to the customers and relax.

Stopped by today for coffee and dessert at the counter. Some of the worst service possible. Coffee was dropped off with no spoon or napkin so I had to grab some from another table. ordered Ala mode and given a pitiful small scoop of ice cream. Waitress just dumped off the food (am not exaggerating) and ran off without asking if anything else was needed. Had to catch waitress for napkin. No refill of coffee was ever offered. Waitresses did not seem to care at all about service and never came back to check. Never received a check. I don't see myself ever returning.

5 of us decided to hit up this little place after a day of work and I LOVED it! I'm disappointed I didn't know the restaurant was even there sooner, but thankfully the 3 people we went with have all been there before and recommended we join them. I ordered the Bourbon Glazed Grilled Ham dinner and my bf ordered the Sizzling Steak. Neither of us had a single complaint. The beer options are great, as well. We each ordered our own flight, which is about 4 4oz beers, your choice. We didn't save enough room for dessert, so I can't comment on that. However, I can say the servers were great, very attentive and helpful!

RUDE STAFF. Waiting way to long to be seated just to be seated in the old part. Many tables still in the bar area. Ask to be seated in the bar area and was told no. Left this time. Last two time we went had BAD service also. Will never be back. Third strike YOUR OUT!!!

My sister and I come across this on our way home from Saline, Mi. On the outside it looks like your typical, family restaurant or truckstop. But, besides the booths and tables it also has an amazing bar area. My sister had a fish dinner, and I had the breaded chicken strips. Everything was delicious and our waitress was superb.

Wow friends of mine from out of town met me here I was amazed. It looks so different inside. It is no longer diner style, renovated with a new bar area and an expanded drink menu. Hope to get in to try out the wine list.

The service was friendly and good. Had an average crowd for lunch. The décor was pleasant enough. However, the food was....tasteless. I had meat loaf and mashed potatoes. Generous portions, but it was so bland and average. The other members of my party had the broasted chicken which they thought was greasy. One had potato wedges which he said had no seasoning. The other got green beans which she said were unseasoned and canned. Our salads consisted of wilted lettuce with black spots on it, a piece of green pepper, a strip of red onion and two cherry tomatoes. A tiny paper cup of salad dressing came with it. The worst part of the meal was fighting off the flies. I'd suggest bringing your own pest strip. We spent half our time shooing flies off our plates and discussing ways to politely exterminate them in a public place.

This place has changed alot over the years. They are best known for the Broasted Chicken that you can get served family style and it is very very good. If you are in the mood for some semi fried, broasted chicken and are around here, don't go to KFC or any of that crap, go here. They also have a liquor license now and actually have decent brew on tap and various scotches and others. I was very suprised for a place in this location to have a decent little scotch selection. Do not go here if you are vegetarian however because this place is for meat eaters only!
