The Pick Two combo gets you SO much food for only $7 & change. I have always enjoyed the queso (w/chips on the side) but now with the addition of chorizo, it's even better! The shredded beef tacos make my pair perfect. The workers are always friendly and the manager makes his presence known, checking on guests and cleaning up tables the main floor. This location gets quite busy at lunch time but the line goes quickly as they work efficiently to get you thru. They have never not had an ingredient ready (unlike Chipotle down the street). 3 stars...simply because it's fast food, and the trash bins are regulary overflowing. It's also pretty loud so you better be prepared with your topping selection or else you'll be clueless as to what they workers are asking.

Not too bad, just the soup was still cold. Maybe because they just open 20minutes earlier. At least my curiosity about this restaurant chains is over.

Have been in Southfield for 2 weeks of training. 10 days ago a coworker and I stopped in for dinner. Business was steady but not crazy. Jennifer was behind counter and preparing our food, She was smiling and cracking jokes and making us laugh (which great after a really LONG day). She made our food exactly the way we wanted it and also made recommendations to us. I remember thinking I have never had anyone this personable and FRIENDLY at any Qdoba I had ever been to before. As we were eating she stopped by our table as she was leaving because her (12 hour!) shift was now over. We learned in a previous life she was a waitress and has many years of customer service experience. I also work in customer I and was blown away at how amazing she was before I even sat down to eat. But to then talk with her again on her way out the door (AND off the clock) when she was dog tired impressed me more than I can express here in a review. The food was excellent and exactly what we wanted, but Jennifer is the real jewel of this establishment. If I lived here in Southfield I would hire her immediately to work for me!!

As a VERY frequent Qdoba diner, I thought I would share some of my thoughts on my experiences at my neighborhood location. High Points: 1) the Craft 2 option: Since I'm one of those people who experiences extreme anxiety when it comes to making that final decision of what to order at restaurants, this option helps put me at ease! With a variety of items to choose from, including tacos, nachos, mexican gumbo, quesadillas, etc, you can create a wide variety of different combinations to sample without limiting yourself to just one option. Definitely a crafty way to keep you coming back for more (no pun intended). 2) the frequent buyer card: This FREE card gets swiped every time you purchase a meal (at least $5). After 10 $5 meal purchases, you get a free one! 3) outdoor dining space: This location is situated in a strip mall with several other food spots. There are several iron patio tables located outside, which serves as a great dining option in great weather! 4) great customer service: I'm always particularly impressed by the professionalism and attention to customer service during the hectic peak dining hours! There aren't really any major low points for me. The only slight grip I have (which is beyond their control) is that parking is sometimes pretty hectic during the lunch rush.

This Qdoba location is settled into a strip mall in downtown Southfield. It caters to the business lunch crowd. If you plan on visiting for lunch, be prepared to wait in line (although it moves quickly). Set-up like a Subway restaurant, the servers make the food as you travel down the line. Tacos, burritos, nachos, taco salads, and more are all offered. If you're a fan of Chipotle Mexican Grill, then this will seem very familiar to you. Just like Chipotle, there is a fascination with filling burritos with rice, and a lot of it. The workers here typically move quickly and are friendly enough. I've been going here for a while and cannot complain.

When someone tells me that they've never had Qdoba, my first thought is usually along the lines of, "This person cannot be trusted," and then, "I bet they like that other mexican grill. End all communication immediately!" (It's that real) I LOVE QDOBA!!!! Especially this location :) I went through a Qodba-craze not too long ago that lasted a good six months. For some reason I just had to have Qdoba at least 4 times a week, so while some would consider me a "regular," I'd like to think of myself as "that one familiar hungry face." But the staff here is sooooooooooooo ridiculously nice! They always put a smile on my face and my stomach... HOW DO THEY DO IT?! Well, for starters their food is refreshingly fresh! Someone can always be seen cutting, grilling, cleaning or changing something out as it gets low. My go to is the Craft 2, that lets you pick and choose two menu items, that are smaller portions but quite filing. I love this because its like I'm eating more (variety), without eating more (quantity). And the combination possibilities are endless (not really), I mean really! You can have tacos and mexican gumbo, or quesadillas and nachos, the list goes on and I'm sure there's a certain number of combos, me and math just don't get along how most of you do. They also have their regular menu items like taco salads, HUGE scary stuffed burritos (those things are serious), queso (yummy cheese sauce) that can go on pretty much anything, naked burritos (without the tortilla yum!), even a kids meal option. If you come here I promise you will not be disappointed! Staff: Would you like queso on that? Me: Is that a serious question?

Been here sooo many times... Service- normal, I have had no problems, they are usually friendly and get the job done. Prices- very reasonable for a good chain Mexican meal. Everything is always fresh and they make your food fast and the line moves pretty quick so if you are at lunch from work usually you get back in time. Seating is always available at lunch time since its mostly packed but I always take mine back to work so its never a problem! overall its good! no complaints here.

Food is great however, sometimes it tastes a bit off. I only say this based on the quasidilas I've had at this location. The burritos however, are great. The staff is good but sometimes you feel like you are bothering them. I love Qdoba and eat at other locations often.

Good location, but gets slammed at noon. They do have a couple clueless employees, but if you get a veteran it will be good.

So you go to a restaurant and you eat their food and the meal wasn't quite up to expectations... What do you do, well, you can complain but then you wonder about what will happen. OR... that is a big OR... you have a fantastic GM, that would be Jennifer, who comes over to your table, notices that you haven't finished your meal completely... and asks you about it. All the time with a smile and some genuine interest, as though this was her restaurant... She apologizes, she comes back with a card for a free meal because she knows that what I was eating was not the typical food this restaurant produces... She assures me this isn't normal and I can tell by the line of people it is a popular place. I WILL BE BACK.... AND THAT... for all your restaurant MANAGERS, THAT is how you keep people coming back. Show interest, smile, and know that sometimes things happen and even your cooks can have an off moment... I know this was Qdoba... but someone that gives a darn about my $8.00 meal... That is all us restaurant going people want... Is to know you care about your restaurant and the product you put out there. Just care about us, is that so wrong!!!!! Jennifer, GM, the 5-Stars is for you...

This chain does it right! They are reasonably priced, fresh, and fast. I love the three tacos combo, with yummy sour cream, salsa, and steak. There's never really a long wait, and if you come in the evening, you're in and out! Enjoy!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
