Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Ordered a salad, the spinach was wilted and chicken was OLD and dry! I've ordered the exact same thing before and it was very good. There is no excuse for dry, old chicken and spinach. I picked through it to see if maybe it was just a couple pieces that were like that but it was throughout. Full salad went in the trash..very disappointed and no lunch!

The best pizza ever. Highly recommend the deep dish sea food. Deep Dish pizzas take a long time because they are double baked but they are so worth the wait.

The best deep dish pizza in the world. So fulfilling that I can only eat one slice. If you've never tried Pizza Papalis deep dish pizza, you don't know what you're missing. Warning:You WILL need a fork!!! :)

i really do want to like this location, considering it's very close to my house. i've ordered from here twice and it's just not the same. i used to frequent the dearborn location before it closed and the greektown location but i moved. i thought it would be the same, but i was wrong. this has to be the most inconsistent pizza papalis location around. we always order a papalis gourmet, and sub the chicken breast for pepperoni. last time i called to place an order, i was told there are no substitutions, when we had already ordered the same exact thing at this location before! i hang up the phone and my boyfriend calls back, gets a different person who says that's absolutely fine and we were able to place our order with what we wanted. i was upset of course because one person says one thing and you can again and another person says the complete opposite, not good for a business. obviously the workers here are not on the same page. the pizza is always soggy, too! and the black olives are for some reason placed inside of the pizza with the other toppings vs placing them on top like every other location used to do for us :/ also, the toppings always seemed to all be jammed into one area of the pizza, which makes each bite as inconsistent as the workers are. skip this location and drive the distance to greektown!

This place is a wreck - its run by young blacks..... Save yourself the headache and just take time to drive to Greektown. The deep dish pizza tastes nothing like the Greektown location's and it was not even as thick as a regular Pizza Hut.

I have not been to this place in a while so I decided to give it a go today. The last time I went it took well over an hour for my food and when my pizza came out my cheese wasn't even melted throughout the pie, this time was a complete 360 I call my order in and it was ready in 30min and it was perfect the only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because they could have put more cheese since I asked for extra.

Meat Eaters deluxe bottom of the dough gummy, sausage not fresh and pie was half full no flavor. pie was better the first time I tried it. there is no consistency at this location won't be going back waste of money

I really shouldn't be leaving this review because I am on a diet, geez! But I always get the deep dish for my birthday and I love it! Flaky crust, lots of sauce, plenty of meat and veggies perfectly cooked. Best deep dish pizza in the Metro Detroit area! Oh, I think diet is over, lol

I came home for the summer, I just graduated from MSU and I missed my favorite pizza place called Pizza House. I am very picky with pizza and the Dominoes and Pizza Hut's are just not good enough. I prefer the more expensive places lol. Anyway I did delivery and ordered a cheese pan pizza and it was great! I will next try their deep dish which i am sure would not disappoint!

Yelp describes a "two-star" review as "Meh. I've experienced better." That sounds about right. While the deep dish pizza is pretty good (deep dish isn't my favorite type of pizza, but I'll give them credit where credit is due), we got their "new" thin crust pizza today and it is just terrible. I took two bits and am throwing it away - it just isn't worth eating. I don't think it's an anomaly - it seems like just a bad recipe. The crust is similar to the deep dish crust, but on a standard style pizza it is awful - dense, chewy, and flavorless. The rest of the pizza is reminiscent of elementary school cafeteria pizza. The cheese has no stretch to it at all, the sauce tastes like it comes out of a can, and the entire thing is pretty gross. At $12 for a small, plain cheese pizza, this is beyond disappointing. Add to that the fact that they cut it in a strange diamond pattern rather than traditional pie pieces, so if I wanted to eat this awful thing I wouldn't be able to do so with my hands. Any chain pizza would be better than this. What a waste. I'm content to never get Pizza Papalis again at this point.

This is close to work, so we stopped in for a coworkers birthday. It's a two-for type deal restaurant, fast foody - kinda-ish.. They are a Rio Wraps too.. No waitstaff, you just order, like at McDonalds, and they bring out your food. They have good lunch specials, personal pizza with a salad.. Not bad, just enough food, one of my coworkers had a rio-wrap lunch quesadillas, beans, and a drink for $5. It was quick, good, and on the days when you don't brown-bag it, it's not bad for a change of pace. I'd go back.

  • Nina M.

Short and sweet: The deep dish pizza is amazingly good! I love the sauce on top and the plentiful cheese and toppings inside. The crust is not soggy and it heats up really well. This location has attentive staff, but is really small so it is better to carry out. Recently they added a taco side. I don't know how those to mix, but I guess they are looking to get business from those who don't love pizza. Pizzapapalis is good pizza, but pricey at close to $30 for a large so I would suggest checking their website for coupons. They have at least 5 regularly.

Did you know it takes 40 minutes to bake a large deep dish pizza? I had no idea. It's best to call that thing in ahead of time. It's $30 for a large, but five grown ass men can eat off of it. My coworkers and I were all good with two pieces each. The box says "best pizza in Detroit", and it wouldn't surprise me if it is.
