I stopped in at New York International Russian grocery store after visiting the adjoining Gold International Bakery. Both feature Russian products. Oddly though, the entrance to New York is in the rear of the strip mall while Gold International Bakery is in the front. One can find a little bit of everything in this store from prepackaged goods like teas, spices, soups, cookies, pickles, preserves, and snacks, to frozen foods like dumplings, meats, and meal entrees. They also offer bakery bread, including farm bread. I saw dishes, fancy-looking tea pots, and other kitchenware as well. I wound up buying some tea with Russian writing on it, some cookies to go with it, and some farm bread. The bread and tea were ok, but the cookies were stale and inedible! Who knows how long they were sitting there... New York International offers some unique products worth checking out, but I would recommend checking the expiration date on whatever you buy.
