Don't waste your money or your time. I wish I read the reviews before I ordered food from here. I've been waiting 40 minutes for my order and I still haven't gotten it. I even called ahead before I got here. Why have 4 people that ordered after me already gone? Seriously!? Unfortunately, I paid when I arrived otherwise I would have just left. From a hygienic POV, the cashier grabbed the pickles with her bare hands and put them in plastic bags. After you handle money and the phone, do not touch my food. This place is too expensive for that type of service. How hard is it to take an order, make a sandwich and put it in a bag??? $4 for a small side of fries and she spilled 1/4 of them on the floor because she was careless. I have been here once before and the owner was handling the orders, the service was kind of slow but never like this.

I'm sitting in this restaurant currently, and not only is the girl who is taking orders ON HER CELL PHONE having a full blown conversation with her wireless headset, but I guess whom ever was on the phone distracted her from getting my order right. I only came to this location because the greenfield location was closed. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here. She apparently got several orders wrong, as I am sitting next to a guy who had to turn around after driving 20 miles because all 3 of his sandwiches were wrong. As if that wasn't already bad, the young lady taking the orders is currently arguing with the cook about it "not being her fault". If the other locations are not open, I simply won't be having breadbasket.

Attention to detail is not this place concern at all. There are tons of other restaurants in the area I would suggest trying one of them. The food quality wasn't bad, but don't try an order a custom sandwich they are just going to make it the way they way want. And to top it off they laughed at having made my sandwich wrong. Don't waste your time or money here.

CORNED BEEF and bread awesome - macaroni salad NASTY - noodles, mayo and pickle relish - not a thought given to it for $3.30 - same as Kroger or Meijer

Let me preface this by saying I haven't been to any of the other locations other reviewers have mentioned. I thought this place was great - got a lite Reuben with some onion rings and the food was terrific. The corned beef on the sandwich was awesome, but what I really appreciated was the bread it was on was toasted perfectly. And the onion rings were fried perfectly as well. The other thing I'll mention is that the lady who runs, and possibly owns, the place knocked my bill down a buck because the onion rings took an extra five minutes to prepare. A lot of people have complaints about her specifically in this space so wanted to mention that, as I thought she was actually very good with customers.

HORRIBLE staff. Absolutely the worst service I've had at any Bread Basket locations. Food was decent, but not worth the price and terrible service. The Livonia location is superior in every way.

DO NOT CONFUSE THIS with the Bread Basket Deli on Greenfield in Oak Park. This is a chain. It was good. Not great but very good. Did not have that authentic flare. The workers had no personality. Very uninterested in us. No hello. No thank you. Nothing. I asked for an extra dressing and they said sarcastically that they already put one in the bag. My mother likes it dripping so I had to ask for another one again. Not the nicest crew. The meat was lean and hardy. But again, typical. Go to the Bread Basket Deli on Greenfield. 100 times better.

Talk about Rude. The manager here, I believe her name is Cheryl is beyond rude. Poor management, dry tasteless food, spoiled pickles (seriously, my pickles were spoiled rotten). Horrible experience. I've done business here twice and gave them a chance, but I was diasppointed both times. Geez I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on this place.

This place has been around for quite some time. The sandwiches are OK, but the restaurant itself is not attractive and I always get a creepy feeling when I go there. Maybe a makeover or perhaps just a good scrub down would help. There are better delis around. Lots of them.

I thought the food was good. I went there to do some office work and tried to connect to their wifi, but no one that works there knows the password. Seating is a little tight, but the food is worth it.

This has to be their worst location ever!!! Goto Al's on woodward!!! Way better place and it's also owned by these people too!!

Let me start by saying our server was the sweetest older woman I have ever met and if it weren't for her we would have left after five minutes of sitting there. The owner was so rude to her staff the entire time we had lunch. It was extremely uncomfortable and I felt terrible for the man who made our sandwiches (which were awesome so he clearly was doing his job). She knocked him down for a half an hour straight and talked about other employees and how incompetent they were. A woman came in to get a carry out of dressing and the owner was cursing about how another employee didn't fill them enough. By the time we were paying, the owner and sandwich guy were in a full argument because he was sticking up for himself. As a general manager of a business, the way you treat your employees says a lot and because of her I will never come back to this location. If she was unhappy with her employee she needed to speak to him in the back and not in front of customers. Shame on her.

I was kinda disappointed considering Bread Basket Deli has a good name and brand recognition in this community. The staff seemed out of it and rude, the place was kinda dingy for being a new location. The quality of the ingredient from the corned beef, sour kraut and even the rye bread was nothing to brag about. There's so many delis in the area and this place really needs to strep up their game if they want to be around in the future.

After accidentally trying to go here the day before they opened- we managed to schedule a lunch trip when the doors were officially open. This location is a bit smaller than the Greenfield shop - seating is at high tops and you order at the counter. Our order was received as expected - huge sandwiches, served hot. Saddest part of dining at this location is that instead of getting a plate of pickles- you get two pickles in a baggie, one old one new- but the old one makes the new one taste like the old one... Does that make sense? All in all - sandwiches were good and service was quick. I'll be back.

This place is a disappointment and does not compare to the Oak Park location. The portions are smaller not to mention the place is dirty. I was sitting at a table waiting for my order when I began looking around and noticed how dirty the floor was and could tell that it had not been mop in some time which made me no longer desire the food.

my mom was sick and the only thing she wanted was soup from bread basket deli so i stopped in to the one i always stop at on sat at 830 and they don't close till 9 the girl at the counter seem confused, when i was ordering some soup, she finally said it was put away and was not willing to get me any so i left, i went over to woodward and 13 mile, where the service was much better and they had soup even though they where cleaning up for the night they made sure to get me my order for my mom. its sad that i have to leave Southfield. where i usually get my food just because some people are lazy and just don't feel like doing there JOB if thats the case they should quite. so they can stay at home so they dont have to wait on customers. this was poor service at its best. why should anyone put up with bad service when they are spending there hard earned money for poor service being lazy lost them a customer that has been going there for a long time. P.S.the Radio or Tv was blaring during the time i was in there. Poor Poor Poor Service to bad because i loved eating there.
