National Coney Island Menu

We had a soccer tournament nearby. So the extra traffic had this place hopping. We had to grab lunch between games. Our group of 18 was handled pretty well. They did forget my family's order so the kids got in an uproar for the extra three minutes. This is one of the newer locations so the space is brighter and more open.

Very disappointed. Uninterested server, small (and I mean small) portions and pricey for what you get. Sure is not what it used to be and we will not be back.

Wow! This is a sharp looking National! Very bright and open! A far cry from most of their outdated, dirty looking locations! Food is coney food. Not 5 star but killer when you have a hankering for a hani or a coney dog! Took a star off due to service. Seemed very unorganized and service was slow.

I like the look of this new location, but the service was horrible! The greeter were rude to us as soon as we walked in. The servers needs to be re-trained on customer services! Never been to a national Coney Island that was so rude! They make you feel so unwelcome. I been here multiple times and every time end the same! Mine And my boyfriend hani where the saddest looking hani I ever had from coney. we couldn't even finish our food. We Will never go back and tell everyone I come in contact with to not go there, it's not worth my time and money.

Always quick and friendly service. Not to sound like an old crab, but the music was really loud. Unable to hold a conversation. Some one must of complained, it was slightly turned down.

This is my second time ordering the original Hani Special and the seasoned waffle fries. My Goodness!! I LOVE IT! First time was carry out, second time we dined in and the service was great! And fast! I am completely satisfied with this place. I love it.

Ok it's a coney joint right, it's a issues of price because it's cheap but it's not good. well at least not the new location at 13 mile and Gratiot in Roseville. I think they add mayo in the yogurt sauce for their gyro's, who does that.? Poor Sevice , bad food.

Two stars because the food was good, not great, but good. However if I was ONLY rating service, they would receive a one. Been there three times since they open and every time the staff was extremely rude; (except the blonde hair bus boy, he's nice) the waitresses barely check on you, forget food and make you feel like you're a inconvenience from the time you sit down to the time you leave. If you're going to Coney Island, save yourself the trouble and go to the one on Gratiot and 11 mile.

This was my first Detroit-area Coney, and now having had several at other locations, I'd say this is a fairly low average Coney. The service was slow but friendly, the price was a little high, and the food all felt like it was reheated rather than prepared. There are plenty of places in the area to get a better, cheaper Coney, so I wouldn't honestly recommend this one.

I have to split my review into two areas. First, sure the coneys are good. I have been eating them for years. Ok, to part 2. Last week I decided to try something different. I chose the gyro. ***Barf***Barf***. This place should be ashamed. I should have taken a picture but I had this sandwich in the garbage after the first bite so I forgot. How in the world can they serve this garbage? It is some processed molded mystery paste formed in the shape of a geometrically perfect oval. Meat is not supposed to look this way much less taste this bad. Oozing with grease or some substance, it looked sick from the start. I took a bite and almost fell to the floor. There should be a law against serving that junk. I felt awful for an hour and I only took one bite. Please do not order this sandwich unless you are told they switched to a new meat source. If it looks processed (like a mcnugget) and is oval and disgusting looking with grease and strange colors, it is not new and send it back. Get coneys...they are good. So is breakfast.

A return to the location where it all started for National Coney Island ... (well, sort of ... Masonic & Gratiot ... actually in the Macomb Mall). It's new, it's spacious, the décor has local, nostalgic appeal without losing sight this is the new millennium. Plenty of staff on hand (service is fine) & they're decked out in a new t-shirt style uniform that reveals the origin of the Hani on the back. The menu is standard National Coney Island fare and the only discrepancy of note is that they don't keep them at counter level as with other National Coney Island's. This causes a rather awkward moment from time-to-time when the new waitress approaches you at the counter and asks if you're ready to order when you haven't yet been afforded an opportunity to adequately peruse the menu ... just sayin', ;)

I picked up a carryout from this location. It's a little bit closer than the one on goesbeck. I ordered and picked it up through the drove thru then looked at my order and left. My mistake for not opening each individual package. I work in the industry sometimes mistakes happen but when the M.O.D. I believe his name is Chris comes on the phone and never once apologizes for the mistake and instead gets an attitude persisting I ordered something that I didn't and then proceeds to put me on hold once again and gets back on the phone stating, "you can pick it up here or I can give you a credit" I was angry still so I hung up without even an almost sorry. My advice is drive the extra mile or so for good customer service and maybe this location will teach their managers how to speak to a customer.
