Although I could not say this is great pizza, it is very very good pizza. In over 20 years I have been coming here I have never had a pizza here that was not completely satisfactory. A very nice family runs this and as someone else mentioned, they seem to geniunely appreciate your business. I have never tried their subs but probably will next time after seeing one of them being made. I could not believe how large they were. Everything here is very reasonably priced and you don't cringe when handing over your money. Highest recommendation.
The absolute best place to get pizza. My boyfriend and I both crave it constantly! Cheap. Tasty. And great customer service.
Well the pizza was good very cheesy but I ordered a cheese bread and it was mostly bare and it was burnt it was like eating burnt pizza crust.. seeing as the pizza was for the kids and the bread was for mom (me) I wont be ordering again ... and the bread was smashed into a tiny Styrofoam container any which way upside down sideways and just completely disgusting. ... it was my first time trying this place ... but because of the horrible bread I will NOT be back!!

This seriously is one of the best chinese restaurant's downriver. I've ordered various things off their menu and each and every one has been great. Their soups are amazing. My persinal favorite is the coconut chicken and the almond chicken. They deliver too!
I have no idea how this place is getting 5 stars. This is literally the first time ever my mom and I both put all our food in the trash. I hate to hate on a small business but the food was terrible. We ordered a combination of almond chicken with fried rice and egg roll. The batter is thick and off tasting, gravy is odd. Rice is bland. They do have good health department reviews, which is why I went here over my usual chopstick inn. The woman was friendly and they do have online ordering. The almond cookies were good, but other than that, it just wasn't edible.
Horrible! Trust me when I say this, but I am as fair as they come when it comes to mom & pop establishments trying to earn a living. With that said.....this place is the worst imitation oriental/Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten at. I can't even compare this place to anything or anyplace I have eaten at. I will say something nice about it before going any further, it was nicely decorated....the bad: you order your food like you would at Mcdonalds. I am good with that, I get it, it keeps the overhead from the waitstaff to a minimum. Your food is then brought to your table. The food is the worst part about it and naturally it's the most important part of a "restaraunt". The fried rice is far from being authentic and lacked any flavor. The sweet and sour chicken looked like something out of a dollar's store version of a cheap t.v. Dinner (if you are old enough to remember one, if not ask your parents), and the vegetables with noodles should not be hard to prepare well however it was. Avoid this place, it shouldn't be around much longer.

Out of all the coneys on fort street, this is surely the best one! And I have tried all of them multiple times. Leo's, is way over priced, wild coney is slow and not good service, and Parthenon may have a nice restaurant but their food does not measure up to zorbas!! Zorbas has great service and food. You get a lot for what you pay for. Small restaurant though; so it's often extremely busy but you can always order carry out!! But it is worth the wait.
One of my favorite little cheapy, 24/7 Metro-Detroit, post MJR breakfast dives. Let me walk you through it..you sit down order your food, and roughly 4 minutes later it is in front of you piping hot and delicious. I miss this place!
Their chili cheese fries and mozzarella cheese sticks are amazing! Destiny's one of the best servers there. A definite destination for late night munchies. .. You will probably see alot of people from the area since they all know that this is the place to go. They have drive thru take out which is so convenient. The manager is very kind and he has been there for years and years. I remember going here in middle school and the food has gotten even better since then. So I've been going here for probably around 10 years. I'm addicted to the ranch, delicious!

Best pizza I've had in a long time. If you ask you can get the old fashioned pepperoni that curls up when cooked ! YUM MANY MENU ITEMS TO CHOOSE FROM chicken Italian ect... It is a must try
The pizza is quite good, however their service sucks. If you are thinking of stone pizza for dinner, I recommend ordering before anyone is hungry. Like looooooong before anyone is hungry...
Let's clear it up right away. It is not called Stone Pizza because they are cooking it on a pizza stone. They are not. I imagine Stone is the family name. The pizza is bland and lacks substance. A little too light and airy. I have been in here 3 times now and the pizza stays pretty consistent. Last time I asked the girl to make it a "little well done". She agreed to but did not act on it. As far as pizza goes this will be a last resort place for me, however their Kalstones, their version of a calzone, was very good. I will go back for one of those.

Very bland but SO MUCH FOOD! I have had way better chinese food. Even the sauces were tasteless. Will not go to this one again.
I got the almond boneless chicken and honestly it wasn't anything out of the ordinary chinese restaurant fare. If you are in the need for some chinese take out and you live in the area then go ahead but don't go out of your way to eat here. Also, the prices that came on the final bill were different from the prices that came on menu. The other two people who ate with me told me there meals were just ok, nothing spectacular. Service was a little below average and the knowledge of their menu was lacking. We also asked for a beef gravy for the vegetable lowmein and were told they didn't have anything like that except the table next too us who got beef lowmein ended up with a beef gravy. I think we'll find some other place to dine next time.
Probably one of my favorite places to eat. Great service, giant portions, hot food, reasonable pricing. My favorite thing here is the egg rolls! They make them freah to order and they are served sizzling with a generous portion of plum sauce/ hot mustard. The filling is bean sprouts with shrimp, not cheap cabbage fillers. Really a treat!

Ordered a Michigan salad. Simple enough right? Came out and the salad mix was wilted and rotten. When I told the waitress about it she stood looking at me like I was stupid. She took it back, the picked out a few pieces that were not rotten then stuffed the rest of the, did I metion, meager portion with spinach. Started eating and realized that the "dried cherrys that were to be in it were actualy dried cranberrys. Do they think American's can't tell the differance? When I brought this to tthe attention of one of the waitresses the only comment was "oh". Now my wifes Greek salad, duh! had to remind them we ordered chicken on it, agian that stare like we were stupid, and she ordered a medium and got what at any other place would be a small. Leo., did anyone tell you that you cant screw with Down River American Working people? We WONT BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stopped by for dinner on a weeknight. In addition to the owner?/mgr? and the kitchen staff, there were four servers on the floor. There were only between four and six tables occupied during our time there. One waitress was serving the booth next to us, and by their conversation, I could tell it was her family. She stood and talked to them about private matters for about 95% of the time. I didn't see here do anything else. Another waitress was hovering around a booth in the back, flirting and fawning over what was likely a prospective boyfriend, only leaving the booth to get his food. Our waitress and the remaining one were actually working- going around refilling coffee, and being real servers. If the gentleman that appeared to be in charge was in fact the owner, I do not understand how he allowed half of his wait staff to behave so unprofessionally. As for the food, it was sub-par and un-inspired, but priced accordingly. The salad bar looked clean, and I might try it if I go back, but the chance of getting poor service will likely keep me from dining there again.
Leo's is located in the old Big Boy Restaurant in the Riverview Commons strip mall. We went to Leo's the first week it opened. The menu is large with the usual things you would find at a Michigan coney restaurant. I ordered breakfast, the usual: eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and rye toast. I usually stick with 'safe' when going to a new coney. You just never really know what is going to come out of the kitchen and breakfast has the most hope of being consistent. The other side of the table ordered the standard: coney, onion rings. The joint was jumping, so after we were seated we had to wait a couple minutes before our server came over. That is to be expected in a busy place. We both ordered coffee and it came quickly. When the food came out, it was..not as expected. The bacon was so hard I actually thought I broke a tooth on it. The eggs were lukewarm and undercooked. The toast was burned on one side. The other side of the table reported that the coney was overly greasy (yes, I know it is hard to believe that a coney might be actually too greasy). The onion rings, however, were great. Refills on coffee were a bit slow in coming, but it was busy so it was expected. The general atmosphere was one of happy activity, and there were quite a few customers who seemed quite happy to be there. There is always comfort in being in a coney. I think for most of us, it is because it is familiar. You already know what you are going to get to eat there.

Sportsmen’s Den

If you are over 50 and want to get out and trip the light fantastic on a weekend, then head straight to Sportsmens Den. A family style restaurant that serves great prime rib and typical bar food like Loaded Nachos, and something interesting known as Devil's Pasta, which is not spicy. At around 8:30 on the weekend the house band takes the stage and plays a good variety of mostly oldies music from the past 40 years. Really good selection. Not a seniors pick-up joint, though romance has been known to happen. I really think this is the best place in the Detroit area for people over 50 to congregate on the weekends. Even has an enclosed outdoors deck for those who still smoke! Very comfortable atmosphere.
I have been here a number of times for parties, wakes, weekend dance parties and this last weekend we had a family dinner. There were 35 of us and I have to say the wait staff was amazing! Oh sure some of the food came out later than others but not everything can be cooked at the same time. We asked for individual bills, singles and family groups and they had no problem with that. The food is always good there and everyone had a good time. If you love oldies music the house band Tender Years is great on the weekends.
Food is overpriced. I ordered perch which I love. They didn't scale it correctly so I was getting lots of scales in my mouth when I ate it. Very unpleasant ! Also had lots of tiny bones. Never had that happen anywhere else. And especially when you pay so much for the meal. Wouldn't recommend it !!
