Diabetics at Whataburger

Diabetics need to be a bit cautious while dining at Whataburger. Almost every burger is rich in sodium content and it is highly recommended to keep your burger cravings in control while dining at Whataburger. However, you can always satisfy your cravings for a burger by choosing Whataburger Jr. or other non-burger items from the menu.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for Diabetics:

A diabetic should resist from ordering any extra meat-based burger such as Double Meat Whataburger or Triple Meat Whataburger to limit the sodium intake and calories. Most burgers except the Whataburger Jr. are high in sodium and hence should be avoided.

If you are a diabetic, you should also avoid Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich and Whataburger Patty Melt at Whataburger. Chicken Fajita Taco is also off-limits for diabetics. High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. You should also avoid Avocado Bacon Burger and Monterey Melt as both these burgers contain a high amount of fat. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

I love this place - my daughter cries when we go out to eat in downtown Plymouth and we don't go to the Burger Spot. Apparently, their grilled cheese sandwiches are to DIE FOR. I've heard a lot about Chicago hot dogs, and this place offers a vegetarian version (I'm vegetarian). I've tried it several times - I've tried really, really hard to like it, and I think the problem is the dog; it just doesn't taste good (1/2 the reason I only gave four stars). The condiments, bun and green-green relish are wonderful! I just wish they'd rethink which veggie dog they use. French fries: they look great on the menu and for the most part, they are good. However, they are a tad soggy (other 1/2 the reason I gave four stars). I wish they'd crisp them up a bit. If you order the vinegar fries, be prepared for floppy fries. They do taste good - and if you like floppy fries, you're in luck - but they're not my style. On to the best part - the veggie burger. It is SO good. It's a grilled portabella mushroom topped with cheddar cheese, sauteed zucchini, lettuce, tomato & onion, and the underside of the top bun is schmeared with cream cheese. It's fantastic and I promise you, even if you love a meat patty you'll enjoy this burger. Suggestion: don't order take-out. This food is best enjoyed on-premises. And the premises amounts to a very familiy friendly, pleasant place to enjoy delicious food. Grab a chocolate shake, too - they are divine!

Fries, Fries, Fries. I checked this place out after reading some favorable Yelpings, and I'm glad I did. The fries were awesome, the burgers looked great. I got a Chicago Dog, which was delicious -- but do yourself a favor and get the small one. Their regular hot dog is so big it's kind of disturbing and will split the bun. Fries were amazing, and cheese fries were good too. I can't comment on the Tofu Dogs becuase we didn't try them (seriously, either eat the real thing or just step away from the soy...), but vegetarians can also get the grilled cheese off the kid's menu, which was pretty good.

I want to like this place more becuase it is a local establishment, and I like local more than a chain any day, but it's just 'OK'. I've eaten here 3-4 times, and it's a fun spot to bring my 2 year old. However, they cook their burgers into a hockey puck. Every time they have been overcooked and hard as a rock. However, their french fries are fantastic, hand-cut, and delicious. They also serve hot dogs, and they are decent. Very large, so know that you will have a lot of food if you order 2 with fries. If they could just cook their burgers a little less, I'd like them more.

I can't believe I haven't mentioned Burger Spot here! They're one of my favorite hidden gems in Plymouth. Yes they sell hamburgers, but don't confuse them for a fast food joint. On my first visit one thing the jumped out at me was the stack of fresh potatoes by the fryer; they don't cut corners and use frozen french fries. That attention to quality comes through in every meal I've had there. Burger Spot's menu has pretty much every variation on the hamburgers, hot dogs and fries that you can think of including vegetarian-friendly options. I like that they aren't trying to be everything to everyone, they are just trying to do a few things really well. I'm a fan of their burgers, but their chili cheese fries also keep bringing me back. The next time you are in the mood for a burger, go there or get some carry-out. You won't regret it.

This places makes a great burger. I'm a burger fan and tried a few places in town and this one is right up there with the best. The menu has a variety of burgers but I haven't tried them. Have eaten the good 'ol Spot Burger a few times and the quality is consistent. The fries are good and the service always friendly.

Kiss the chef! Oh my god this place rocks. The bacon cheese burger is my favorite with a evil and diet busting chili cheese fries made with homemade fries! Need salt if you know what I mean... try the vinegar ones. There is even something for the vegitarians in our life a great portabella mushroom burger! Its delish!

I was a little suprised by this place. It looked like a typical small burger joint but everything is homemade and the staff was great. The cheeseburger was pretty good. It is nice to find a good burger joint right in my backyard. It is too bad it is a little hidden in downtown plymouth but definately worth checking out!

We were very saddened to discover a sign that said "Out of Business" on the door a few days ago. Not sure what happened, but we will sure miss this place. If anyone knows any details, please share.

The juice pouches served to my daughters were at room temperature. I ordered a Chicago dog and a kid's hot dog and the hot dogs had a tough casing that I had to peel off, which was unpleasant. My hot dog bun was dry/stiff and the hot dog and toppings fell through the bottom. I've had better parm fries, here they were greasy and the parm was powdered. Also I overheard another customer trying to purchase a gift certificate and the staff told them to come back on Monday because they were all out. Seems like a more helpful option could have been offered such as mailing it to the customer.

Friendly staff, delicious fresh handmade burgers, tasty garlic parm fries! I'm in heaven! This is a great place to stop when in the Plymouth area. My bf and I both enjoyed our meal and got full on $20. I only docked a star because the bun was very bland. Maybe it should be toasted with butter, I'm not sure. But something was definitely lacking in that department. Other than that, amazing food! I definitely will be coming back.

Ambiance: In a word, quaint. There is a hodge-podge of seating options, miscellaneous decorations on the wall, a pacman arcade machine in the corner and 2 small TVs on weird channels. There is really no cohesive style but almost in a charming way. The counter is kind of hipster with a chalk board of specials with good vegetarian options. The staff are super friendly and walk around checking on people which was not expected given the up-front ordering. Food: I've been here twice and both burgers were excellent, the 7 oz patties are hefty, perfectly-browned, tender, and actually medium-rare like ordered. The lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños (free add-ons) were consistently fresh, crispy, and tasty. I tried both the wheat bun and pretzel bun, both of which stood up to the moisture of the burgers and weren't tough or dry. The ring of fire burger was amazing with a healthy amount of heat coming from the jalapeños while the sriracha-mayo was relatively mild. I really enjoyed the textural variety of the burger between the crispy veges, fried onion ring, and savory patty. The bbq bacon burger had wonderful thick cut bacon that was still fresh and crispy. The bbq sauce was pretty standard (e.g. KC masterpiece-y) but I liked that it was only used moderately and didn't drown out the patty. The poutine fries which were on special were tasty as were the garlic parmesan variety. We did get a few milkshake and we had a few quibbles here. The mint chocolate chip had chips which were far too large for the straw and we had a pile of whip cream that was like 70% as tall as the cup. We got a cookies and cream the next time with no whip cream and it was pretty darn good. Overall this is a great place to get your burger fix and I would gladly come back again. Considering service, price, freshness and options, this place has a leg up on a lot of their competition although their ambiance could use a little work.

Not bad at all - hitting a place that's new to me is always good and especially when a deal is offered through amazon local. I had two meals for FREE but don't think it will curve my scoring. (Ok I laid it did - Lol!) Also if u work in Plymouth then u can get a 10% off your bill. Everything made fresh and free drink refills when u fine in; would I travel here if a deal wasn't offered then probably no but I'm glad I experienced this place. Happy eating!

Friend and I were in the area and since heard about place decided to go. Menu is simple consisting of burgers, hot dogs, salad and chicken. Decided on kale salad and burgers. Ordered food at the counter and then they brought food to table. Food arrived and the salad wasextremely fresh and the burgers were cooked to perfection with fresh toppings. All in all what a great decision. When in the mood for a burger give this place a try for taste is amazing and under $10 a person.

Went randomly yelping away to find a late lunch/early dinner spot to correlate with an appointment in the Plymouth area, and I am glad I stumbled upon this place. Tucked inside a cozy indoor hip shopping plaza is Burger Spot. Immediately I noticed that it was clean and visually appealing, loved the flooring and the décor, which doesn't go as far as to overdo it like some similar places might. I messaged the business about vegan options being available, and within an hour got an answer from the business owner, and boy are there options! in fact I could have just looked at the photos section, but probably would have missed the Sweet Potato Burger that is on special, which would have sucked (although the falafel burger I was set to get beforehand probably would've been tasty as well. The employees were all polite and energetic, and although it was difficult for both me and my girlfriend to narrow down based on the many options available, I settled upon the Sweet Potato Burger, and a cup of the Quinoa Chili. She got a sandwich and a side of garlic parm fries. They were so nice as to split the fry order so that I can have some unparmed fries, which was awesome of them. The wait for food to come to the table wasn't very long at all, as it was delivered hot and tasty looking. I first tried the chilli, and it was very good. It had lots of different veggies mixed in. It had a good base salt level, which is awesome because I hate when its too salty to start with. I added just a few shakes of salt and it was perfected to my taste buds. My burger was the star. The sweet potato burger topped with salsa and guac was messy, but in a good way. You can not really avoid getting a little sloppy with salsa and guac on it! but it was so delicious. I think the pretzel bun was what really made it complete, and I am really glad they notified me that the pretzel bun was in fact vegan! it had perfect texture. The only other topping I got on the burger was pickles and lettuce. I think next time, I would go for more crispy toppings and nix the salsa, but that's my personal tastes. I had too many soft components that it wasnt texturally rich, although the flavors were great.I could also see this burger with some bbq sauce, or as I found out, the chili and their sweet potato burger pair beautifully, so maybe a little of that as a topping. The fries were good, nothing too crazy, just solid well cooked fries. I didn't look to see if they had tots, but had I not gotten the sweet potato burger I probably would've gotten sweet potato fries. We were checked on often, and the place got busier as our dining went on. The only real drawback to this trip is that I only had one stomach for it, as there are now 6 more things I want to try on their menu (falafel burger, portabella, vegan coney dog, kale salad, lentil soup[if its vegan and always on the menu, was on the specials sign], and the previously mentioned sweet potato fries. Its always good to have options, especially when its paired with execution, and a good ordering experience. Oh and pretzel buns.

Small spot in Downtown Plymouth. The girl who took my order was very friendly and familiar with the menu and vegan options. They have many vegan options such as falafel, portobello and the special was a sweet potato burger. I went with the falafel and it was fantastic. It had great flavor land wasn't overly greasy. I paired it with sweet potato fries which were also excellent. This place will definitely be in my rotation.

Super easy to find if you park in the lot behind the building. Their outer door faces the parking lot; otherwise, you'll need to walk through a little mall area and the address is clear on the building. My husband and I came in with a Groupon on a Friday night. It was busy, but we were able to find a booth as someone else was leaving. They were hustling behind the counter, at the grill and in the dining area to keep things neat as well as to welcome newbies to the restaurant. A group of five came in after 7 and hadn't been there before. The waitress explained all of the favorites, and without rushing them, let them know after sitting there about 15 mins without ordering, that they were only open until 8 (winter hours) so they would be happy to get the orders going whenever they were ready. Much like Culver's, you order at the counter, they give you a number and then they deliver the food to your table. You also dump your garbage yourself and please remember to save the plastic bins and bowls to help them keep the costs down. We ordered burgers, of course. I had the DTP and it was delicious! I asked for medium rare and that's exactly how the 7oz angus burger was cooked. It came with slaw, thousand island and natural cut fries ON IT and I requested the sesame seed bun. It was messy, but unique and delicious. They hand pack the patties and you can tell by the texture. My husband had the 7oz bacon and cheddar angus burger cooked medium well and said it was cooked perfectly. He also said the barbecue sauce was delicious. We also split a kale and quinoa salad. (See my prior picture.) It was fresh and the dressing was light, lemony and freshly made. Again, a unique taste sensation. Overall, we would come back. It costs a bit more than traditional fast food burgers, but the quality of the ingredients make the comparison apples vs. dogs, let alone oranges. The place is clean and orderly and they care about your experience by asking how things are going along the way. The only thing that would have made this experience better would have been an ice cold beer...mmm. But that just gave us an excuse to stop at Liberty Street on our way home. Woe is us.

So we have been on a tear through Northville and Plymouth trying burgers everywhere we go. This place's burger itself is probably a solid 4 stars, but the parmesan fries were not great IMO. The whole crew working there really treated everyone well and for that I would give them 5 stars (and yes, we tipped them!).

Went there with my son and daughter and had a nice dinner. The lady working there was friendly and helpful. I had an Angus burger and it was pretty good, my only complaint is that it was more like a meatball than a burger. My son had the falafel burger and he Loved it. My Daughter had the black bean burger and onion rings. It's a nice little place in Downtown Plymouth. I would definitely try it again.

First, this place is expensive... Don't let the 1 "$" sign fool you. My friend and I ordered 2 burgers and a chili... Grand total was about $25. YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR EACH TOPPING FOR YOUR BURGER!!!! HORRIBLE... Secondly, the owner's sister is VERY RUDE. Giving me dirty looks because she knew me from a dating website a bit ago. She would even send Facebook messages with insults, etc. If the brother, the owner, wants to make it, he has to choose: his family or his future.... because she needs to go... and he needs to lower the prices. There is nothing special about the place. They have a sriracha burger, but other than that, this place is basic. This will be "Burger Spot" owner number 3 (I believe?) that will not make it. If you want better burgers, go to Moo Cluck Moo. (It's healthier too.) The owner had Yelp take down my review because I described his sister...but also to delete my truthful, bad review of his burger joint. Shows a lack of professionalism... He only wants the "good" reviews posted hahaha GO TO "MOO CLUCK MOO" ON FORD ROAD, EAST OF LILLEY !!!!!

We yelped the restaurant category while driving through Plymouth and decided on the Burger Spot, for a Burger of course. It was a little tricky to find as it was located in a little mini mall off Forest and south of Ann Arbor Trail. It is a counter order style with table delivery for eat in service and a self serve soda fountain. I orderd a spicy Burger with Sriracha Mayo and Jalapenos and Swiss cheese and my wife ordered a patty melt with grilled onions and cheese. We shared an order of fresh cut fries and a cup of Quinoa Chili. Everything was fresh and tasty. The Burgers were cooked perfectly as requested and the fries were crisp and delicious. The Quinoa Chill had a lot more black beans than I am used to, but it was still very good. The service was very helpful and friendly and the facility was eat off the floor spick and span clean. 4 stars and I'll be back...

We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was a good crowd there. We ordered BYO burgers and both were awesome as were the fries. Even if they are GFS fries, they're cooked well and taste good. Hubby got a shake and loved it. I loved the whipped topping that I got because he doesn't like it. What really made the visit was the two girls working the counter. They were sweet, patient, informative and came by several times to ask us how things were. If I was rating the staff alone it would definitely be 5 stars. Loved the look of the place.

Great "spot" to eat! Me and the hubby go here whenever we get a chance. The falafel burgers are delicious and I'm eager to try the new sweet potato burger! The hubs gets the sliders, he sticks to what he knows best. The fries are always great and they season them perfect! Service is always great too! We are greeted instantly when we walk in and they always walk around and talk to their diners! Talk about great customer service. A+ in my book! You guys have customer for life with us!

Mediocre burger spot. $$$ I finally got to try this place out burger was cook to temperature I requested. Lacking some seasoning and the fries are gfs fries. Took a while to receive my burger but the ingredients need some help. Avocado hard, lettuce not fresh, overall lacks taste. Employees need help with there customer service skills. I will be going back to my fa route burger joint Jay 's Stuffed Burgers on Ann Arbor Trail. Oh by the way don't waste your money unless you have a coupon.

My wife and got a chance to go back to Burger Spot today for a early dinner. Only three other patrons when there we arrived and they were waiting for carryout. I got the 7oz. spot burger and my wife had the 4oz. west coast burger. Both cooked medium as we asked for and we both had fries. The fries are not the hand cut version that this place had when they first opened but they were seasoned nicely and very good. The burgers are also not the same as the original, lacking the nice seasoning and the hand made touch, but they are still a very good burger. Nice flavor and texture. They were out of the garlic Parmesan fries. We will be back to try a couple of other menu items. A go to place in my book if you are in the area.

Pros: The menu pulls you in, a lot of great toppings to choose from. Con: The meat on the Angus burger is really bland, no seasonings at all. I was just eating meat with no flavor.

Reviews on here basically made me feel obligated to visit. I wound up coming here because I was visiting my sister (who lives in Plymouth), and I was kind of really hungry. You can tell by my rating that it satisfied my manly needs, but I just have to mention... This place was confusing as hell to find. I parked on the street and walked with my friends up and down it looking for it for ten minutes before we realized it wasn't facing the street -- it was facing a parking lot behind one of the buildings...? Well, what the hell! No wonder why my sister (who's been living in Plymouth for about two years now) hadn't known this place existed. Once inside, I liked the look... kind of grungy (?), yet it seemed to be perfectly clean. I guess the word would be rustic? I don't know. It's not really rustic either... oh, Jesus, what a worthless start to this paragraph. Alright, I just liked the look of this place. Did I mention there's a Pacman/Galaga machine, too? No? Did now. Little touches like that are pretty cool to me. What I DIDN'T like was that there was only one other table of people at 6:30 on a Saturday night. It was so dead that the grill was off with nobody standing near it. Still, I know what the reviews said, and that's what I paid attention to. I got the single patty burger (cooked medium) with grilled onions, bacon, and bleu cheese. Really, I tend to get those toppings on all of my "Make-A" burgers if they are available. I also got large fries. My total was $10.12, which kind of surprised me. Uhm. I guess those "premium" toppings really jacked up the price, eh? My friends also got burgers, but they decided to get onion rings. I enjoyed it. I mean... it's hard for me to be disappointed in a burger, but this was still above average. The patty is a decent size (6oz? Maybe 8?), and ours all got cooked how we ordered them. The large fries were the same price as the onion rings (one size only... $4), and I think there needs to probably be a pricing adjustment for the onion rings, considering there were about 12 pretty small rings in each of their baskets. They were good (not *great*), but there's not much value in that. Uhm. Yes. If you're in Plymouth, this is definitely worth trying out. I probably wouldn't drive out of my way to go to this place (I think Achatz Burgers in St. Clair Shores is a *touch* better), but I liked it. Good service, nice looking, solid food... it may be slightly pricey, and there's a bit of a wait for the food, but everything's cooked to order. The reviews here are accurate. Thanks again, Yelp.

I hadn't eaten here since the ownership change which happened a few years ago. I was happy to have stopped in as my meal was quite tasty. Both the burgers we ordered were very good, as was the Kale Quinoa salad thingy. We'll definitely be back!

Strolled over to downtown Plymouth to find this hidden gem based on reviews from my fellow Yelper's. Three of us entered, and none of us ever wanted to leave. I ordered the OMG with egg, cheddar & bacon - medium rare (as a good burger should be), with a side of chili cheese fries (small). I've included photo's of the works of art that were delivered to my table. The burger was awe inspiring, and the scent of the perfectly crisped bacon had my stomach doing back-flips of joy. The taste was good, and I mean GOOD. Had I known the volume, I would have gone with a single patty, as it would have been more than enough! The chili cheese fries were in no way small, neither in stature nor in taste! There were enough to feed 4 easily,. The fires were the perfect crisp level for combining with chili and cheese, which will easily swamp less sturdy spuds. Hand cut fried goodness covered in cheese whiz and topped with a DELICIOUS real coney-style chili...that's the stuff doctor's warn you about! But I say it's worth it!!!! Great food...good price...cool location...nice people...what's not to love! Note - If they ask if you work in Plymouth, just say "yes". You'll get 10% off your bill. I opted for the "no" and left them with some extra $$.

Cute place. Solid burger. I did a BYO, so nothing fancy. Meat was cooked just as I asked and was tasty. I like the fries, too. They seem to have their own blend of seasoning which was very good. I also like the fact that you can get vegetarian options - veggie burger or vegetarian hotdog. That's important for my daughter as she is vegetarian. It's better than the typical grilled cheese she has to get from most burger joints.

My husband and I came here last night to get dinner to go. I got a 4oz west coast burger, he got a 7oz build your own with egg and bacon and we shared a lg. order of garlic parm fries. The Good: They cook your burger at your requested temperature. The girl who helped us was very friendly. The atmosphere is casual and cozy. The Bad: Granted it was a Monday night, however they only had one cook, who was moving pretty slowly. Our order took a solid half hour with about four other people in the restaurant who already had their food. My burger patty and bun were good but the avocado slices were hard, dry and rubbery. I took them off the burger. The fries seemed like GFS and a little soggy with no flavor! I was shocked because we got the garlic parm which are two strong flavors and the fries were just tasteless. My husband and I both ate the burgers but only had a few fries. I'm disappointed...I miss blimpy burger...

Definitely would try again I had the ring of fire burger and it was very good! The garlic parm fries were meh but I think plain would be fine next time, they just weren't for me. They offer a ton of options to build your own burger which is great. Well worth the $ and nice that it does not appear to be a large chain.

Tried this place after reading reviews and wanting a quick close place for a bite to eat on a Friday night. I am thinking the guy who reviewed about the sister and family was choking on sour grapes because this place was great !!! The staff was friendly and attentive, even the ones that were related. The food was delish!! I had a bacon cheddar mushroom burger medium. Was perfect. Had the Garlic Parm fries which were very tasty and a chocolate shake that was heaven. Thicker than a frosty and tastier than an old soda fountain!! Parking was easy and plentiful. I will definitely be going here again and again now that I know it is here.

The burgers are very delicious. The meat is juicy, not dried out like other places (5 Guys). There are lots of topping options and types of cheese. They give you quite a few choices of sauces to put on your burgers. My only complaint is they are a bit pricey.

Unassuming but awesome spot for a quick-ish lunch. Food is cooked FRESH to order, so no, its not "fast" food, but its worth the 5-10 minute wait. Everything I've tried here has been delicious! Grilled cheese is gooey and buttery, fries also good and burgers are juicy and satisfying. I've also gotten a salad with bbq chicken on top - also good, considering they specialize in burgers and hot dogs.

I go to Detroit about once a month for work and I kept hearing about this place I had to try called the Burger Spot. My last trip, I finally made it and wow I have been missing out. Not only was the food amazing, but everyone that worked there was super friendly. I will definitely be back next month!! Try the sunrise burger and garlic parm fries with ranch!!

If you've seen the movie "Elf" and how excited Will Farrell's character gets at the mere mention of Santa Clause, well, that's my reaction to this place. My friend and I stopped in based on all the positive reviews on here. DELICIOUSNESS I SAY!!! I ordered the double 4oz patties with mushrooms and cheddar, and an order of the chili cheese fries. The meat was stand alone delicious. I could've just eaten the patties by themselves. But place those burgers between two fresh buns with fresh mushrooms and melted cheddar, and Oh. My. God. Perfect. And then there were the chili fries!!! Even the fries are stand alone. I'm not a fan of fresh cut fries. No one seems to get them right. Except here. And when they're combined with their absolutely delicious chili, and shredded cheddar, well it made me tear up a little they were so damn good. I love this place, and I will be returning soon, and frequently. It's rare to find a quality burger joint that isn't just frozen patties and a schtick to get you in the door. The Burger Spot nails it. The only thing I can say wasn't perfect is the pricing. They charge a bit more than I would like, but when you want quality, you sometimes have to pay a little more. Stop in. You won't be disappointed.

Four stars for the great service and personable staff. The cheese fries were fun and different. The burger was made to order with many choices of toppings and cheeses. I appreciate giving my order to the cook :) I had a Chicago style hotdog as I order them at every opportunity. You just never know who make a good one. This place had a nice snappy dog but the bun was more toasted than steamed and the relish was off. 3 stars for the hotdog. I'll head back again to check out more of the menu but right now I really just enjoyed having good service.

Burgers and fries are great. Chicken sandwiches too. The wait was a bit long to get the food- but they were packed. I know my husband would like to see beer served. No liquor license. Booo.

This is the real deal right here. After reading various of yelp articles on this place, i decided to finally give this place a try. For the burger, i had the omg spot burger (double patty), which was pretty good, not great but good. The burger was the only negative and it was was still good. Now to me the #1 thing here was the fries. The fries are so god here that i think that they should change there name to fry spot. My finance had the chili cheese fries, which were pretty dog on good, but for me it was all about the garlic Parmesan fries. Just imagine crazy bread on top of the fries, that's the best way i can describe it. These are probably one of the 10 best fries i done ever had (and trust me, i really do like fries and eat them on the regular), everything about them is great. The only thing i would recommend is the fries is big enough for two, so just share one (i learned my lesson). Another plus to me is the decor and the fact that it is in a nice snug location. Will i eat here again: you better believe it and this time i will try the sliders and if they are really good, then this review will become a 5 star.

Im a big fan of burgers and wanted to gives this place a try before. I walked in and there was only one person working the register and cooking. How can you only have one employee doing everything?? Of course it took awhile because the guy was doing register and cooking duty. Didn't appear he was washing his hands after handling money and cooking!!! Anyways the burger was good, but nothing as good a 5guys burger or bagger daves. The French fries were terrible. They were frozen over seasoned fries like you get at Ruby TUesday. I was really disappointed in this place, I had High expectations.

The quinoa chili is back, baby! This most unusual item on the menu convinced us to head over to Plymouth and try out Burger Spot. It was very good, with a nice burn and complex flavors. When Burger Spot changed hands, the new management initially discontinued the quinoa chili, but it was brought back by popular demand. The burgers were good, but didn't blow me away, mainly because I thought that the beef (Angus, I believe) was too lean to have the complex fattiness I love. The toppings were plentiful and fresh. The onion rings were tasty and crisp, but I don't generally care for the battered fries they use. Service is not fast, but then, this isn't intended to be fast food.

If you like your burgers cooked to order and not from frozen patties, this is the place for you. Not at all crowded as not in a prominent spot on Forest. More expensive than other burger places in the Plymouth-Northville-Canton area, i.e. local chains. Make sure you order onion rings.

We were really excited to try a place we'd never been before that was near us based on the reviews. Maybe they're just having an off night or something, but nothing we got was very good. It wasn't bad, but everything I ate was bland, and this included items like garlic parmesan fries, chili, and pepper-jack slider. My husband had a burger with cheese and the garlic/parm fries, and said it didn't taste very fresh. Also, as a note, yelp says they deliver, but they don't actually deliver. They say they'll deliver to nearby stores that they can walk to, if that helps anyone.

My Greek Veggie Burger was fine. The prices are reasonable. I took my eight-year-old cousin with me, and she ordered a cheeseburger meal. Despite their sign right in front of the cash register stating that the children's meal comes with a drink (milk or soda), the guy working the register insisted on charging me for a little milk carton. We were sitting outside, and this guy had also delayed in bringing out my cousin's meal - I had to go in and get it from them. Since it was 2 pm on a Tuesday, and they weren't busy, I unfortunately can't excuse the guy for his poor customer service skills.

I really like this place, particularly for their fresh cut fries. When they first opened I was annoyed because they had bought out my fave dive Franks. Luckily for them they kept some of the food but Frank's chicago dogs were better, sorry. They have good fresh burgers with a variety of toppings. I am a fan of the chili cheese burger because I clearly have no respect for my arteries. I skip the cheese sauce concoction and get it with melted real cheddar though. The onions and coney sauce with a squirt of mustard are heavenly. Evil stuff indeed. This and some plain fries dipped in tasty ketchup and I am in a happy little food coma. The west coast chicken sandwich I had on a more rational food day was tasty enough. I made up for it by pairing it with garlic parm fries. Gah. If it did not clash with the chili burger these jewels would be my regular thing. All in all friendly, comfy and clean. For the health fanatics, relax they have salads and tofu dogs.

Went here with a group of friends and I was surprised of how 'hip' downtown Plymouth had become. The Burger Spot was a little tricky to find since it's inside of an office type bldg. I ordered the the California burger with two patties and the fixin's included green/red peppers, grilled onions and instead of the cucumber I substituted it with avocado. I could barely manage to take a bite of the entire burger to get all the flavors at once but it was good!! The meat is seasoned really well so if you're a purist who likes to taste only the meat flavors this is not the spot for you. I also split an order of the chili cheese fries which was ok nothing really 'wowed' me about it. My friend ordered the chicken sandwich which you want to stay away from. It's called the Burger Spot for a reason so only order the burgers!!

Thank God for yelp, else I would have never found this gem! I consider myself somewhat of a burger connoisseur and this place is now definitely in my top 3. Not to mention the fries and onion rings were equally as impressive. The atmosphere was fun (retro arcade game!) and there's a lot to keep your eyes busy. I know where I will be going next time I'm craving a burger!

This is our first visit so I can't compare to "the old Burger Spot" I like the build-a-burger menu style. The beef was fantastic and they cooked it the way we asked for it. If there was a choice of bun The real treat was the vegetarian Quinoa chili. I highly recommend it. We also tried the garlic cheese fries - these are an entire meal. Very tasty. Any place that carries Faygo in the bottle gets an automatic extra star under the "Detroit cheerleader" category

The Burger Spot is different. It is different in it's design, different in how you order, different it it's quality. Sometimes different is good. I like the place. You notice it when you enter...The Burger Spot is what you would get if a burger joint bred with a cafe. The menu is up on the wall, written out cafe-style. And you order at the counter. The food is then brought to you. And the seating here has a bistro meets cafe feel. As far as the food itself: it is excellent. My burger was outstanding. Even more so were the fries. Nigh perfect. Maybe in the top five fry orders I have ever received. So, if you are in Plymouth, come check out The Burger Spot. It is worth a try.

This is a weird review to write. The Burger Spot just reopened under new management and this is my first visit to the new Burger Spot. In the past the Burger Spot was hit or miss for me. I always thought their burgers were awful, but the fries were great. The new Burger Spot is a mirror image of the old. Gone are the awesome hand cut french fries. The new Burger Spot has fries from a giant bag... But the burger? The burger was perfect. I was really surprised. With my prior prejudices in place I ordered a slider with cheese and the garlic parmesian fries. The slider was a bit larger than what I expect for a slider but was smaller than a traditional cheese burger. It was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. Everything a good burger should be. The onions were burnt (this is a good thing) and the pickles fresh. It was one of the better burgers I've ever had. The Garlic Parmesian fries on the other hand were a pale imitation of their former self, but the burger was so incredible that I'll look past that. On my next visit I'll probably double-down on the burgers and just skip the fries. I hope this is the new standard for burgers at the Burger Spot and not just a fluke. If so I will be back much more frequently than I had in the past.

went to the Plymouth Ice Festival today (yep, wrong weekend...nothing there...a few weeks early) so we were hungry and used our Yelp app on my phone to see if there was anywhere new in Plymouth we haven't been yet. found it....Burger Spot. cute little diner kind of place, one lady taking the orders and cooking up the food....i think she was the owner. so u order ur food at the counter and after she cooks it up she'll bring it to ya, very nice lady btw. between the 4 of us we got some chili, chili cheese fries (all fries are fresh cut), a hot dog and a few hamburgers. everything was great and we would come back.

Went there with a friend for lunch today. I haven't eaten at McDonalds or White Castle in over 20 years but I'd gladly have one of those burgers before I'll ever have another one at the Burger Spot. I regularly eat at Wendy's and Burger King, so I am far from a burger snob. Both of us thought our burgers had a funny taste. Not quite spoiled, but really bad. I didn't finish my burger it was so bad. I don't ever remember doing that before. My healthy teenage friend, who has a voracious appetite, was barely able to finish his burger. The cookies were flavorful but extremely stale. The fries are great.

I had both the burgers and more recently, a hot dog. The burger didn't really impress me, even though it was very fresh. What I did love were the french fries and the chili. I don't want homemade, full of beans and tomato chunk chili when it's on my dog or my fries. I want smooth, brown, Detroit area coney chili! And that's exactly what I got on my dog. I ordered light chili and there was plenty to dip my fries in, too. The fries are thin and crispy and just good. I also tried the Parm/Garlic fries, and they are great. This place is clean, well-run, and unique.

Holy Toledo, This place is a surprise. In Plymouth for work and starving. I leave my clients parking lot and I notice this place across the street. It is a tiny little place but looks like a hit, so I head over. I order the South Western Burger and it was fresh and tasty. I also decided to try the Garlic Parm Fries which were out of this world. Granted I was not able to speak with clients for the rest of the day to do my terrible garlic breath ahaha. but it was for sure worth it. I noticed this place has now expanded the menu and also are rumored to have an amazing variety of tasty dogs. If you are near Plymouth and craving a great burger or dog. Be sure to seek this place out! EDIT: After a very saddening rumor, i found out today that the Burger Spot is no longer in business. Rest in Peace you delicious garlic parm fries.

I love the food here. Burgers here taste amazing, fries are equally good. It is a burger joint that has a unique and wonderful selection. It includes tofu dogs, grilled chicken, regular dogs, and the before mentioned burgers (so good I will mention them again). The staff is quick and friendly. The place is comfortable.

The bulk of the rave reviews were made well before the place closed and reopened and when they reopened they chose not to make hand cut delicious french fries....I went there for the grand reopening and the fries were of the frozen variety and the lady said they would not go back to making them they way they were made before. and that's their big downfall...............if they can make the announcement that the fries are now handcut and delicious I would go back to try them.

I tend to agree with Yelp reviewer Jordan. Burger Spot has a great concept, but misses the mark. The ordering process is great, the interior is average, and the customer service is what you'd expect. The burgers aren't good. They're hard disks. Regardless of mini or regular, the meat isn't tender or juicy, which is what you want from a burger joint. Give me a sloppy, juicy, tender burger any day.

Burger Spot is an awesome spot! A great, small burger place - and owned and operated by local people in Plymouth. Each burger comes as two small patties on the sandwich - and the sides are also really quite good. Their fries are excellent! If you're looking for a great lunch for a decent price in downtown Plymouth, be sure to check this place out.

Had a chance to dine here a few weeks ago... What a hidden gem!! It is located in a building along with other stores, in Downtown Plymouth. Got a regular burger... it came with 2 mini patties. Tasty.... Fries were fantastic too. Reasonably priced lunch menu. 6 bucks should get it done for you. Inside decor is cool. Laid back, "college feel". No wait too. Great for lunchtime. And according to the menu, kids eat free on Mondays. A Must try for lunch time in Plymouth.

This was seriously the best burger I have had in this area. I do not have experience with the "old Burger Spot" so I cannot compare the two. What I enjoyed most about my visit is the amount of choices which makes it easy to please the whole family. There are non-burger options if needed including soups and chicken tenders. I split the onion rings with a friend and they were quite tasty as well. I will definitely be bringing the rest of the family back with me. One note for parents with younger children: they do not have child size cup with lids. They put my friend's daughter's milk in the small fountain drink cup today because of it though. They also do provide coloring books and crayons to help keep the young ones entertained since it is all prepared fresh.

Burgers are very good but the service is very slow. I went there for lunch and it took over 45 minutes from the time I walked in the door until the time I had my food - leaving me about 5 minutes to scarf it down before I had to leave. I wouldn't go again.

Well I had my first experience with Burger spot last night and damn, I may have finally found a replacement for Greenes/Bates burgers for the best burger in Detroit! Every burger comes as a double (two patties) made with fresh ground meat. I ordered two because I was thinking they would be undersized however I would have been fine with just one. Fries were awesome as well. Must have anytime your in Plymouth!

Love this place because it is a local eatery owned by people that grew up in the area. Yea for that! The fries are really good, as is the chicken sandwich. I've had the burgers (before they served the chicken sandwiches) and they were OK (see my other reviews - I only eat burgers at Malarcky's). I believe the meat here is purchased at Eastern Market of Canton (another local favorite - see review). Again, cool that the owners have chosen to stay local in their food and offerings.

First things first Burger Spot is owned and operated by 2 of the nicest people I have come across in any customer service (Charlie and Adam). It is very common to be at the counter and have them know the customer by name and (in my case) by order. The best chicago dogs that I have come across out side of the 312. If you feel all veganny and left out- no worries- great tofu dogs too.. fixed up chicago style or wisconsin is the way to go- bean curd or meat. As mentioned before by Jenny - they homemake their fries- amazing. This was a no brainer for 5 stars.
