Go here for drinks only. Food was basic bar food but tasted like it was straight out of the microwave.

Quick and simple food in a very simple setting. HUGE portions on some of the dishes, like the chopped beef steak, and they serve 16 oz/1lb steaks as well. The only knock is the parking, which is pretty cramped, and the decor, which is very sparse. It looks like just a floor with some tables. It just needs maybe a little character inside, but there's plenty of character in the good simple food they serve.

I went there with my family, and the waitresses knows my aunt and uncle because they go there so often. The food was really good especially the nachos. The only negative thing was it was a little bit of a wait for the food, but other than than that...

Great service and great food/drinks all for a great price! Only knock on the place would be the location. middle of nowhere which to me is a plus cause its within walking distance of me!

Hey, this place is what it is - a neighborhood bar. I've lived nearby for almost two years and came in to have a steak, a beer (okay two), and to catch the UM/ND game. My neighbors have given the place a good review and I agree with their assessment. The waitresses were friendly and fast, the beer was cold and cheap, the steak was the perfect kind of "medium", and the whole bill was great. It's a little bit of "everybody knows everybody" kinda place, but they treated me right. As long as you come in with no pretensions and just looking to have a cold drink and a good meal, you'll be happy.

Great bar where you can enjoy great friends and good food. Walk in and meet some nice peeps. Good waitresses, reasonable prices and a nice view of Walled Lake. There's always something going on there, whether it be live music or a dish to pass football game. A very fun place!

I love this lil place. We were surprised to find it not packed to the walls, the day after Thanksgiving, at 6:30 p.m. Great service and great food. It's pub/down home cooking. Hubs and I had the fish and chips and our son had the fried shrimp dinner. It was all served hot and great portions, at a fair price. The clam chowder was delish. A great place to hand and enjoy after a day at the mall.

Boy, this restaurant teeters between two and three stars. The view pushes it to three, but it could easily go to two. The food is OK overall, but the salad I got had slimy cucumbers - yuck! On the plus side, the sweet potato fries are tasty. Everything else Hubby and I ordered was OK, but nothing memorable.

I love this bar! It has that small town feel... but is so close to the mall and other great shopping areas. The food and drinks are priced just right! The staff is SO nice!! It's one if the best kept secrets on Walled Lake!

Great food, affordable, and the people are friendly. The trout came with almonds and redskin potatoes. All for just a little over $10.00! The live bands are awesome!

Consider this. Imagine a total dive, ghetto ass bar with a drop ceiling that at one point in time was white, but which is now so disgustingly discolored from smoke and covered in spiderwebs that you can't stop looking up at it the whole time you are in the place. That's the Lakeview Bar. Gross. But hey, the beer that the old, overweight, cranky waitress brings is cold. I went in there again last night to play keno and have a beer and guess what? Someone decided they were really gonna class the place up. Yup! They had SPRAY PAINTED THE NASTY ASS CEILING BLACK. No new tiles needed here! Good thing I had on a suit jacket or I would have felt underdressed. If only they took reservations!

They serve a decent trout here and the steak specials are usually pretty good. Service is decent ,and the view is great especially in summer.

Ok- stumbled unto this place after mt. biking at Lakeshore Park on a Friday at lunch hour. Service is great, beer is cold and the grilled chicken breast was excellent. However, while licking my wounds (really just bleeding out on the deck) from a serious tumble in the woods, a young lady approached from the rear. It took a moment for me to realize that she was in very, very skimpy lingerie. Apparently we had stumble into an hour long stripper wannabe show during lunch, which consisted of hot young girls modeling intimate apparel for the patrons and selling "raffle tickets." There I was on the deck, over looking the lake with cars whizzing by trying to avoid a half naked girl scamming money off me by selling raffle tickets to win porn cds or a tee-shirt. About five minutes before the young lady appeared, I was saying "my wife would love this place" because of the nice view of the lake and good food. Well, needless to say, I will not be taking her there on a Friday. This afternoon was right out of a Hunter S. Thompson novel.... Fear and Loathing in Novi.

Ignore the old reviews about a dingy, smoke-stained bar with cobwebs in the corners. That may have been the old Lakeview but the current version is a lot brighter and cleaner. The Lakeview is a neighborhood bar and restaurant with a small bar, a handful of tables and a nice view of Walled Lake. The atmosphere is very casual and most of the customers were greeted as if they were regulars. The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. On our visit, we had the grilled chicken and potatoes, a cheeseburger and fries and chicken tenders and baked potatoes with all the fixings. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. You won't find any fancy dishes here but it's a step above the usual bar food. If you're in the northern Novi/Walled Lake area and are looking for a casual and friendly place to eat, the Lakeview is worth a stop.

This place is a lot of fun, but that is relative based on what you are looking for. They had a band and usually do on Saturday nights, and even though this place is not huge, always have a bunch of people (all ages) dancing and having a blast. Everyone has always been friendly to us, and we usually have no problem making friends with the others when there. Now what is really funny is, another reviewer commented on the place being like a "bar"...its interesting to me because after all it is called Lakeview "Bar" & Grill...not Ruth's Chris or Spago ! They don't try to pretend they are something they are not. That being said, this place has a pretty decent view of the lake, which is cool for a "bar". They serve good food that is prepared well. Their prices on food and beverage are very inexpensive, considering most places really tend to jack their prices up when a band is playing...not the case here. The service is good and friendly, and for what they are and do, they do it right. I have been and will certainly go back.

I so agree with Mic M's review. I live just down the road (on the Walled Lake end), and my husband and I come quite often for the superb steak dinners. The trout is also very good. It's a neighborhood joint with local color/patrons who are fun loving and friendly. Rock On Lakeiew!

After a long week, a few of my friends and I decided to stop for 'bar food' and beers, and the Lakeview Bar and Grill was only a stones throw away. I've been here numerous times over the years and have seen it evolve to it's present state. Finding a seat on a warm summer Friday evening, proved no problem. Our food selections were narrowed down to either one of their burgers or fish and chips for our group. I opted for the fish and chips, adding the upgrade of the sweet potato fries with my order. The meal was enjoyable, having the view of Walled Lake in front of us and familiar faces surrounding us. The fish was prepared (battered cod, deep fried) properly and the three fillets were more than enough. The upgrade (additional dollar) of sweet potato fries made this meal for me. Otherwise the fish and tablespoon of Cole slaw were just average, but enjoyable. The Friday night crowd began filing in right after we had our orders brought to us and the place filled up quickly, in anticipation of the entertainment that was setting up in the corner. The service staff were obviously over matched for the amount of people. Trying to get refills on our drinks resulted in having to tackle our waitress, and even then she did not return with our drinks in a timely manner. I thought the food was priced with a premium tag for what it was. They do serve a 16 oz Angus rib eye steak for a very reasonable price here. I will give them that. I attribute the nudged up pricing to, having a view of the lake. Not a 'destination' for me, you can make up your own mind. Meh. I've experienced better.
