The correct entry for this place is Cocina, not Cucina. But this entry seems to come up first. The food is good local fast food. Great place to go when you're sick of the chains. It's also good for when you have kids with various tastes. They have the "Mexican" stuff but also other items such as pizza & burgers. Prices are reasonable. More than a "dollar menu" of course.

Bland, poor customer service... food was cold, what little of it there was. Looks great but looks can be deceiving. We will never go back.

I'm not sure what this place is trying to do very clean nice renovation but the menu was all over the map and the two scruffy looking employees seemed just as confused as we were so me and my friend decided to go with tacos I got mine with the works including a large dollop of sour cream when my friend saw this and asked for her sour cream on the side she was informed that they charge extra to not get it on the taco??? anyway got a combo with chips and cheese chips took 10 min in a warmer before they brought them out to me. The food was sub par at best dry barely seasoned ground beef taco shells that hardly compared to store bought and weak salsa. The whole thing left me wondering why people who have no idea how to operate a restaurant invest so much money into something they have no business doing.

This food was nasty and expensive!!!! The place was very clean, but that was it. If you want great, authentic Mexican food go to Burrito King! It's literally the next driveway. And you get a lot of food!

What a disappointment this place was. The good: The place is clean and new. The food isn't horrible, but that isn't saying much. The bad: Everything else. What a disappointment! I thought I was going to have a Mexican Grill dinner and was sorely disappointed First of all, whether you eat in or take it out you get your food on Styrofoam with the super cheap plastic utensils. When you go to their website it sounds like you have options, but don't think you are going to have a salad unless that means shredded iceberg. The guacamole was like Wholly guacamole with some tomatoes added to it - I am guessing this is their attempt at tricking the customer into thinking it was fresh. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. The menu wasn't Mexican food focused - they had an equal amount of burgers & Indian food on the menu. It seems like they are trying to do it all. They might do better if the name indicated global cuisine, because then you wouldn't expect them to have good Mexican. In addition, the service was difficult and frustrating because of the very real language barrier. This place is closed on Sundays, doesn't have their hours on their website, and apparently does not respond to e-mail. (I found out the hard way when I made a special trip there on a Sunday.) I wanted to love this place, because I am always excited about a non-chain restaurant, but instead the whole experience just made me mad.

Recently I ate here for the first time with my boyfriend and his young son and we all liked it very much. True it might not be the most authentic mexican restaraunt in the world, but I thought it was very good, and the service was great for a semi-fast food restaurant. The employee who was there gave us samples of the food with out us asking, let us take extra containers of salsa so we could try all the flavors, and coupons for our next visit. I really think the other reviewer on here is being very hard on this newly opened restaurant and I hope it does well because I would like to be able to go back eventually. Oh, and the chips were really good! try them out.

This is Mexican food ala Qdoba translated by the owners of the Subway next door. Pricing is determined by the filling you choose, for instance a chicken burrito, 2 tacos, nachos or salad are all the same price. There is a little confusion at the front of the line because picking meat first then dish is opposite of what most people are used to. (Also the workers are very friendly but there is a bit of a language barrier.) They have brown rice, salsa verde and even a grilled chopped veggie burger! The only lettuce available for the salad is shredded iceberg unfortunately. They have a full grill but I am not really seeing them use it for much. The meats are all precooked and sitting in the prep station. The decor is a nice mixture of modern colors, benches and seats with Mexican inspired art and adobe roof tiles. They have Fresh 100 radio playing top 40. The interior is probably too big, there is seating for over 50 and most customers are taking carry out. Good luck with the new endeavor!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
