Best Coney Island EVER! In walking distance from my home. Nice wait staff. Their food is delicious! You've got to get their chili. Mmmm! Oh, and the chicken they have on top of their salads is phenomenal!

The Connie's are as you can get anywhere. I loved the chili on the dogs , but some may think it is too spicy. The dogs have a crunch like you get at downtown National --- excellent. Tonight we had the split pea with ham soup and it was delicious, a little thin but very tasty. The cole-slaw was scrumptious with a great dressing. The service was perfect and you can't beat the prices. We'll be back.

Joseph's is an unassuming little Coney Island in downtown Northville, towards the end of Main street near the Garage restaurant. Parking is easiest on the street, but a structure is nearby. The menu reminds me of every CI in Metro Detroit. Breakfast items, sandwiches, Greek fare, fish and chips and of course coney dogs and chili grace this one, along with a section highlighting their stir-fry's. Though I have never tried them, the stir fry mention is a little unsettling for me as it seems completely out of place in this little diner/coney. Breakfast is where it is at here! Fresh eggs, large omelets and fresh hashbrowns make me happy. The coffee is of above-average quality and enjoyable, and the rye toast is seriously good. I am warming up to rye, and I have to say theirs is my favorite I have come across so far. I was told that they make their own corned beef hash fresh, which sounds like something that needs to be ordered next time. Yum. What I really like is the service here. Waitresses are on top of their game, seem to genuinely have a good time and they care about their customers. I have seen them treat (what I can only assume to be) regulars like family, which is endearing. 3.5 stars, really! I always feel a 3 star review seems low or so-so, but for me reviewing a Coney Island with three stars is pretty good. It means I really like it here!

Had to wait for a hour to order food. Then another 30 minutes for the food to cook. The other people that were behind us in line had already gotten their food and eaten half of it. This will definitely be one of the last restaurants i go to.

Joe's is a fantastic establishment, this is usually the first place I return to when coming back in town. Clean, fast, cheap and nice waitstaff. Breakfast is good, but the 2 coneys and fries are superb. If anyone has anything negative to say about this place, I'd guess their favorite restaurant is McDonalds.

Since we live so close, we decided to take a walk from our home to this Coney Island. We figured it would be a nice alternative date night to make the walk and then eat cheap during a week night. The prices weren't bad, but they don't offer a combo like Leo's to make it a frugal trip. That is not the reason I gave this two stars. It was the terrible service that caused that. We sat down and ordered our drinks. When the drinks came, we said we needed one more minute. The waitress gave us 10 minutes, before we had to flag her down to take our order. Needing a refill on my beverage, I waited 10 more minutes as she walked by our table several times without any acknowledgement. After waiting for this period, I finally walked my glass up to the bar area to get my own refill. After our food came out, the bill came quickly, which spoke volumes to us. We had to flag down the waitress for service, but we get our bill before we even get a 1/3 through our meal. I do understand that is common at a coney island, but instead of an apology for our long wait periods, the women, who I think is the owner's wife, simply said that the dinner rush was finally over. This surprised me, since only about half the tables were filled. Although the food wasn't bad, it was comparable to Leo's, which is cheaper and has a waitstaff that doesn't need to be flagged down after 10 minutes of waiting. We might give this place another shot down the road during a breakfast walk, but if we want better service and lower prices for a coney, we will be going back to Leo's Coney Island.

This is by far the best coney island in metro Detroit. It's super clean, the staff is incredibly nice and the food is outstanding. I have nothing but great things to say about it and recommend everyone I know here! I have tried a lot on their menu and my favorites are the omelets and coneys! Give it a shot!!

Cold blueberry pancakes and a piece of ham that in a former life was somebody's soft ball. The acoustics are terrible in this place too. Boil some eggs and stay home.

I love Joseph's! I work in town and order from there almost daily. I've never actually sat down and dined here, I always order as a carry out, but my experience with them is always outstanding! The staff is beyond friendly and they are always quick and everything cooked to perfection!

This is our weekend breakfast haunt! First and foremost, sit in Ramona's section,...she's nice, funny, and knows what she's doing! Personally, I'm a fan of the corned beef hash ...my wife gets varied items, and is always happy. Food comes out fast, and hot. Also, their coffee is pretty tasty as well. Lunch items, ... Gyro, tuna salad, coneys, burgers ... you're covered! A super clean, friendly place. You won't be dissappointed.

Without hesitation this is a 5-star. I have been coming to Joseph's Coney Island ever since I can remember. The wait staff is super friendly and the food is to die for. You really do not appreciate coney island enough until you move out of the state and can no longer get it. For this reason, everytime I go home to visit my family I look forward to going to Joseph's for at least two meals. Breakfast and lunch. As for food items, I always get something with chili. Growing up with the Detroit style chili and then no longer having it is hard. The chili omelet is amazing. If your feeling adventurous add some sausage and a few veggies. As for lunch, I always go with two coneys. Again, I miss them dearly. The only time I deviate is if I am there on a Friday, then for sure it is either a fish sandwich or fish and chips. The fish is amazing. The owner has changed the type of fish a few times over the years and has always asked my family if we like it. No, we LOVE it. Each change has gotten better. The fish has gotten fresher and the breading lighter. This place might look small and crowded at times, but turns over extremely fast. The food comes to you no later than 20 minutes after ordering. That type of service is extraordinary. We have gotten to the point where the wait staff now knows we will want 4 ice teas when we sit down as a family and will automatically bring two to the table when my mom and I walk in. On top of the service, the prices are excellant. It is around the same price as fast food, but much better and has some healthier options than what I previously described. I have my go to menu items, but I have never had anything that is bad there. I think I can honestly say I have had everything on that menu as I have been there a few hundred times. This was the Saturday tradition for me growing up. Pay them a visit!

4 stars for BREAKFAST, man. The breakfast here is balls out excellent. Sourdough French Toast is awesome. Scrambled Eggs, bacon, ham... oh freaking my! Service remains excellent, and since the place was renovated, it's a very friendly and comfortable environment. One of the few restaurants smart enough to turn on Closed Captioning on the TV sets, and NOT blast the dang things so you might actually have a conversation with someone. Their coneys are excellent. They make a nice burger. It's diner fare, ya know? Fries usually hot from the oil. However, I'm not a fan of their "old diner" approach to salads...

Joseph's Coney Island, in downtown Northville, is a great little place to grab a fast & cheap breakfast or lunch. The guys who work the grill are fun to watch when the place is busy, so try and grab a counter seat. I've had omelets and I've had the corned beef on rye with fries. So I cannot speak from personal experience about much else. I have never been disappointed with anything, so I have little compulsion to change my order (though I may ask for my fries to be crispy next time...I got some underwhelming ones the last time I was here). Emily often gets the pancakes or french toast and seems to like them a lot. We have both commented on how we should get a salad some day. They look pretty darn appetizing. My only quibble with this place is the coffee. It is diner coffee. I don't expect too much. But I have had some that was sitting out way too long. I won't order it again. All in all, I prefer Rebecca's, a restaurant which is just around the corner. (See my review here on Yelp). Yet, this place usually has no wait, it is fast, and it is a bit cheaper than Rebecca's. So sometimes I come here. You should come check it out too.

We go out for breakfast with the extended family every weekend, and we like to try new places. This was our first visit to Joseph's and everyone agreed that the food was good and the prices were great. I had the sourdough French toast. It came dipped in cinnamon sugar and was delicious. I ordered the 1/2 order (2 pieces) and it was plenty to fill me up. The coffee was decent and the waitress was quick with the refills - always important on a Saturday morning. The ambiance is about what you'd expect for a coney - decent and clean, but nothing special. The location is great; it's right in downtown Northville and we enjoyed a refreshing post-breakfast stroll.

It's one of my favorite coney islands right here in the heart of Northville. Nick will treat you right. Great breakfast and lunch. Can get busy when school is out! Staff is friendy and service is great. Nice little place to get a quick bite.

Sorry but I didn't like it that much. I ordered the chicken gryo and didn't care for the way it was prepared. It tasted nothing like a chicken gyro I am used to. Our server was very friendly and nice and the decor was fresh. I will try it again but will order something else next time.

The service here is great- the food is fast, great service, and excellent pricing. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is because of the bizarre hours that they are open. It closes early in the afternoon, and I often forget and am disappointed when it is closed at dinner time!

This a great little coney. I've only been here once but am already a fan and will be a repeat customer. You can see the guys cooking your food and the diverse menu is sure to please everyone. They close early and don't have soups on Sundays but no big deal. The food is hot and even if it's a simple order it's good. Not to mention it's crazy cheap. It can get a little packed for breakfast but it's an inexpensive solid meal.

good service, nice location, the hours at night are way to early to close, but besides that its good!

I have been going to this place for what seems like forever and it is the same delicious coney island I've come to expect every time. The same couple guys have been working the griddle since it opened, and I'm pretty sure the one guy is the owner and he is really nice and really friendly. Since I moved I don't get to go here other than maybe a couple times a year but it always is a stop when I'm back in Michigan.
