This place served us some amazing freshly made pizza and the yummiest garlic bread with generous portions. This joint local to Munising is awesome for visiting tourists and they do a decent job delivering. Not a fancy place by the look of it but definitely a winner for quality food and a very pleasant break from the industrialized pizza chains. I am definitely going to work up an appetite for this pizza next time I go back to Lake Superior !

Their awesome delivery girl delivered 3 pipping hot pies to out camp site and they were delicious. I had the Supreme and I'm going to order olives on my pizzas from now on. YUMMY!

I am from New Mexico- we have a place called Dions there which is down right addictive- Main Street Pizza is not only comparable, it trumps them. The dough has love and the ingredients are proportioned perfectly! With each pizza you can tell a person made it like it was for their own family. Though the store front is small and most would say out of date- I say their pies and the awesome friendly staff make up for any fallacy you may encounter (which you won't) This joint is hands down The U.P.'s jem for pizza lovers

On a Sunday night, not much is open past 8p but a run into town for pizza proved to be a good move. The breadsticks were amazing! My husband ordered some pizza with green olives and they were very generous with the toppings, maybe too generous. The pizza was a bit on the greasy side but the fresh tasting dough made up for it. This will be a go to next time we are up this way again.

First when we walked in it was unclear if you seat yourself, if they have waitstaff or what. The girl at the counter seemed high on drugs when we asked her if we could just grab a table. Guess you do but then order at the counter. Bought a two liter of Pepsi, she seemed bothered when we asked for cups. Now for the pizza- big sloppy mess! Not very tasty and did I mention it was sloppy! We threw half of it away. Worst pizza ever. Really gross. Ingredients weren't even fresh- mushrooms were out of a can.

It's no wonder this place was busy. They have really good food! And the people were super nice!

Pizza was overly greasy and over cooked. The cheese sticks were absolutely awful. Not sure how you can call what we received cheese sticks as ours had no cheese whatsoever on them. The cheese sticks and pizza were not even cut properly.

After being disappointed by the lack of food at Shooters we headed here to grab some food. We ordered a large pizza with two toppings. The pineapple was delicious, the mushrooms were out of a can, and the pepperoni was average. The pizza was ready in the promised 20 minutes. We grabbed it to go, and they provided plates, napkins and Parmesan cheese. We would definitely eat here again!!!

Great service and food! Had their pizza last night, was so good we came back for subs today! AMAZING doesn't begin to describe how good all four subs we ordered were (they're gone now )! An added bonus... they told us about the park at the end of the street overlooking Lake Superior - what a view and atmosphere. Totally worth the experience in every way!

Pizza was barely edible and the cheese bread was covered in fake Parmesan. We ordered and sat down as instructed. Other people were waiting for pizzas as well. After 20 minutes we all walked to the counter to see our pizzas sitting out waiting for is to come get them. Although we were told they would bring them over they had no intention of doing that. Our pepperoni pizza was greasy and watery. My boys ate it only because we were starving, but could barely choke it down.

The service is terrible. The wait was forever. They burnt our food and several others that were waiting. If I had an option to give zero stars I would. The staff all seemed like they were on drugs. I wouldnt reccomend this place.

Good pizza. It kept 4 teenagers happy and satisfied after a 6 mile hike and run down and up the Log Slide. Would defiantly order this pizza again, next time we are in town.

Delicious. We are on a vacation and ordered a supreme and cheese pizza. Both were very good.

Do not stop for the atmosphere. Stop for the pizza. Huge pie with very generous amounts of toppings. The sauce is very nice, mild and just enough ( some places put on way too much) great Pizza with a nice fresh crust.

Terrible customer service. No help how to order, where to sit, etc. After they had no menus and told me to check the wall. Walked out. Looked like a version of Dominos pizza.

The pizza was good. Not great, but it's worth eating. The ingredients aren't exactly fresh (canned mushrooms, dry ground beef) but it's the off season in Munising so they may do better in the summer? Why did I give them 3 stars, because they were rude. Multiple times I requested something and I was treated as though I was bothering my host. Or, I would say thank you, the the person would just turn around and continue what they were doing. If it had occurred once, I would have brushed it off, but it was at every interaction, as well as with other customers. Let's get it together, you're in the UP -- you depend on tourists, at least be friendly.

Stopped here a couple of times while on vacation and wanted a quick bite to eat. Good pizza, nice that they have a few tables available if you want to eat there. Nothing earth shattering about it but better than the chain places.

Subs were delicious, but it took about 15 minutes for them to be toasted. Staff wasn't exactly friendly, but food was good and pictures that were up on the dining area were pretty cute of local sports teams and cute families.

Came to Munising to visit the ice caves on Grand Island & was looking for a decent place to get dinner. Have been to the Dogpatch in the past & knew we did NOT want to go there again. A clerk at a convenience store recommended Main Street; our hotel had menus, which was convenient. We ordered pizza, cheesy breadsticks, and a grilled chicken sub for pickup. It was ready in only 20 minutes, price was reasonable, service was friendly, and the food was good. My only complaint would be, as other posters have mentioned, that the mushrooms were the rubbery canned kind rather than fresh. Would definitely order from here again.

Open late and after a day of hiking Pictured Rock, we were hungry and this place came to the rescue. We ordered a medium veggie pizza and it was humongous! The toppings on this pizza made it almost an inch thick and they bring the pizza out to your table in a to go box so it keeps super hot during your entire dining experience...very smart idea. I almost never have left over but both times we have eaten here, we have gotten leftovers. It's really good pizza for the price and it fills you up. Love this place!

A nice find after our sunset cruise. We walked in, ordered two small pizzas and breadsticks. Drove off to buy some drinks from the local party store, came back and food was ready. You can order the pizza at whatever thickness you want which is unique. We both ordered ours deep dish, and they did exactly as requested. Pizza was delicious. I ate the whole damn thing. Wife liked hers too. The breadsticks were yummy too, especially with the dipping sauce. They're not winning any awards for pizza of the year or anything, but it's good stuff. I'd have no problem coming here again. I did LOL though, because one prior review on here stated they say the kids making the pizza eating the ingredients as they made them. I saw one of the guys making pizza eating pepperoni's, so I guess this is a common trend here.

Loved it!! Nice people out here... We ordered a veggie pizza and although we could not substitute toppings without paying extra, the taste was really good

Being the local, long standing pizza place in town, it is definitely better than Pizza Hut could ever be. I've had better pizza (it can get really soggy from all the grease), but the breadsticks are always going to be my favorite.

This place is no where near a 4 star rating. First off the place was DIRTY. We were there at 8:30 on a Thursday night with only two other patrons. Tables hadn't been cleaned the kitchen area was a mess with toppings strewn about everywhere and the garbage was overflowing. There were at least 4 employees behind the counter not doing much at all. The staff seemed inconvenienced by having to help us. The pizza was on par with fast food pizza. I wouldn't go back. I recommend you look at other choices in town.

Pizza was very good. We had the small and it was plenty with 2 slices left over for the two of us. And it actually tasted better cold. We probably would have been fine with the individual to share between the two of us. We travel thru Munising once every year or so and Main Street Pizza is always a favorite stop. We've never been disappointed with the pizza. We do avoid mushrooms as they are canned and I only like fresh. The service on the other hand...was not so great this time. Staff member who took our order was clearly not a fan of non-residents (aka tourists). But the pizza was so good...we could put up with it. Disappointing though as most places in town are very friendly.

If I had to sum up Main Street Pizza with one word it would be "meh". It was edible but it was nothing special. Just your regular mom and pop type pizza place. Just your basic pizza toppings and subs. Along with that just comes your basic flavor. You could take the Pepsi challenge with this and any other run of the mill pizza store and not know the difference. I had the Italian sub and it was what I expected. If you want pizza and are in Munising....I'm not sure what other choice you have, but it wouldn't be a horrible choice to eat here. One side note. They have a dining room, but don't have dining room type dishes. If you want to eat a pizza there they give you a paper plate and a regular pizza box. Seems like a colossal waste cardboard. There was a GIANT stack used pizza boxes on the garbage can. They could have just used a simple pizza pan.

Best pizza we had in a LONG time. Our options were some overpriced 2 star restaurants, a few fast food chains or this. We were pleasantly surprised. We got a large 2-topping pizza for $13.80. It had 12 pieces so plenty of food for 2-3 people. Only complaint is that the mushrooms are canned but no biggie. Would recommend this place to anyone spending a day or two in Munising.

Good quick pizza after pictured rocks cruise. Pizza was ready in15 minutes. Mushrooms were canned but still good. Better than expected.

Much better than "meh". This(apparently UP area chain) was our "fall back" because the chinese restaurant in town closed before their listed time. The pizza was very good. The sauce was sweet and tasty. The crust had a great texture and a tad bit of sweetness to it as well. Not sure if the toppings were "fresh", but the jalapeños had a sneaky kick to them. A 12" with an order of their PERFECT cheesy garlic bread was just right for 2. Definitely a great choice in an area with apparently limited options.

Great fresh made deli pizza! Perfect to fill an after hike appetite. Just don't expect the teenage crew working the store to be too quick when filling orders. You may want to call ahead and order your pizza, this place can get jammed packed with long lines of locals.
