Piggy dog I believe. Bacon, pulled pork, ranch, orange pop bbq, fries and cheese. So Good. GF got bacon bleu dog. blue cheese, sauteed onions and bacon on a dog. Note: They're closed on Sundays.
Absolutly fantastic spot for custom dogs. A little out off.the main strip, but definitely a place to seek out. The piggy fries are worth the trip alone. Pulled pork, orange bbq sauce, onions and ranch...worth the trip alone. Had the Widowmaker and was blessed with a taste sensation. Deep fried dog with all of rhe trimmings, you can't go wrong with anything here. To quote SNL "I can smell your weiner from here" High praise indeed.
Don't walk away because you don't like the outside. Food is very good. Plenty of choices. Our kids liked the food very much.

Pretty good stuff. Not sure who says they are the #1 since they don't attribute it. The pasty here is good. My wife had the beef and I had the chicken. Her beef was by far way better than the chicken, which was rather bland and blended in with the vegetables too well. Fortunately some Frank's solved that problem for me. The crust was perfectly flakey. The prices are a little on the high side, at around $5.50, but the place we were staying at ran out so I guess I can't complain too much about it. They have a really nice outdoor area you can sit on, either on the porch of the 'house' or on some shaded picnic tables near the parking lot.
That was my first pastie, but if this is a prime example of the breed, I'm out. I remain thankful that I asked the proprietor if he recommended the gravy, as without it they pastie may have been inedible. Mind you, this was my first meal of the day after sleeping on the ground in a rainstorm in 45 degree temps. You'd think any food would taste great... simply wasn't the case.
Pasties were good- crust was flaky, filing was good - a lot of potato, if you like that. We tried chicken, beef and veggie. Veggie was my favorite as the flavor was unique

Ranks as one of the nicer subways I've been to. Walked in, tables were clean. Workers were friendly. We knew we were going to spend the day on Grand Island so we wanted to take some sandwiches with us for lunch. This was perfect. I got myself a 6 inch and it was speedily made. They happily accommodated my request for extra bell peppers. Maybe I just haven't had subway in a while but my sandwich was delicious. Definitely a good option if you're looking for something quick and cheap to take away and eat for later. I saw a few people eating subway sandwiches while waiting in line for Pictured Rocks Cruises which is also not a bad idea. Hours are 7AM-10PM daily
Great sandwiches, Awesome Pizza, Nice location, good service. Wow - this came in as a nice surprise to us. Being in an unknown location, while on travel with 3 kids, we want to make sure that we eat clean known food rather than experiment. this subway is Open till 11:00 PM - so we could have our Dinner just after we come back from the sunset cruise of Pictured rocks and have a nice healthy dinner. How many of you know that some of the subways carry pizza ? this is one of them and the pizzas were certainly awesome, I mean they are equal/better than Pizza hut, very filling and healthier since you can have a lot more veggies on them.
Although my sandwich may have been 12 inches long, my review certainly won't be. I have a usual go-to selection when eating at Subway, which they prepared according to specifications that come down from corporate. However, the wrap-job was certainly not standard. When I went to get my sandwich out of its plastic bag, the first thing I touched was bare bread! While they have a large piece of coated paper to wrap a sandwich up in, none of my party's sandwiches were fully covered both the wrapping paper. I also thought at first that these sandwiches didn't even come with napkins, but I was mistaken. They did come with napkins, but these napkins were of no use, seeing as they had been wrapped in with the sandwiches and thus had all been coated in the sauces that we had put on our sandwiches. One of us even had his napkins embedded in his sandwich. Since the napkins wouldn't do anyone a lick of good, we just had to lick our fingers clean. Overall, a good sandwich had a bad turn done to it.

This place served us some amazing freshly made pizza and the yummiest garlic bread with generous portions. This joint local to Munising is awesome for visiting tourists and they do a decent job delivering. Not a fancy place by the look of it but definitely a winner for quality food and a very pleasant break from the industrialized pizza chains. I am definitely going to work up an appetite for this pizza next time I go back to Lake Superior !
Their awesome delivery girl delivered 3 pipping hot pies to out camp site and they were delicious. I had the Supreme and I'm going to order olives on my pizzas from now on. YUMMY!
I am from New Mexico- we have a place called Dions there which is down right addictive- Main Street Pizza is not only comparable, it trumps them. The dough has love and the ingredients are proportioned perfectly! With each pizza you can tell a person made it like it was for their own family. Though the store front is small and most would say out of date- I say their pies and the awesome friendly staff make up for any fallacy you may encounter (which you won't) This joint is hands down The U.P.'s jem for pizza lovers

Great bar, serves pictured rocks brewing company micro brews which are great. Typical UP bar with live music some nights. We came on brick oven pizza night so didn't get to try the full menu. Go here if you're visiting and want good craft brews and food.
Nice surprise with great live music on a Friday in June. They have popcorn (help yourself), a full bar (feat. Pictured Rocks Brewing Co. Beers -- which I recommend) & all that you're hoping for in a U.P. bar :) We came for the beer, enjoyed brick-oven pizza, & we're incredibly glad that we stopped by!
I like Shooters, and since we live in Munising, it could become our regular place. They serve Pictured Rocks Brewing Company beers--just seem to have trouble having more than one or two on tap at a time. The food's good--excellent burger. We're going back soon to try the Friday night wood fired pizza. (Good pizza's hard to find in the UP.) Friendly bar staff.

We dined there on May 5, 2011. The food was edible. The chicken sandwich was okay. It was nothing special. Waitstaff seemed attentive and helpful. The decor was tacky and kitsch, dinning area could use a makeover. Bathrooms were disgusting, but then again we don't eat in the there! Truth be told, the building and the menu probably need a serious makeover. I would eat there again, only because of a lack of other choices in the area.
First of all the sign and name is very misleading. They really could use a make over of the building which is old and not Australian at all, as it claims on the sign. But it still offers decent food. Their fish is quite tasty and I have had it twice now. Was there once for a buffett and they had trouble keeping the fish on thebuffett and it took them a long time to bring more out so you found yourself waiting to get more. The second time I ate there they didnt have the buffett but instead all you care to eat perch and whitefish and both were excellent. I have not ate anything else there, however, it was very busy both Saturdays I drove by so perhaps they have a good Saturday special. the Fridays were not that busy but the food was good.
Don't do it. We stayed in Munising at the Holiday Inn Express overnight on our way to the Keweenaw and we were doing the Pictured Rocks Cruise the next morning. Desk clerk at the hotel suggested Sidney's. We arrived, were able to pick a table and sit where we wanted. First off? the chair were like little Bistro chairs (not comfortable)..not that we needed bigger chairs but they just felt awkward. Waitress was nice enough...brought us menus and asked us if we wanted a drink. My husband was happy that they had Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald beer....I ordered a diet pepsi that that was flat and all syrup.....she tried to find me a new tap to get a soda from but well, it was bad. Waitress came along to take our order. I politely asked if they fried their non seafood food (apps, fries, onion rings) in the same oil that fish/shell fish is fried and was told that they do. As someone with a seafood/shellfish allergy I am continually amazed at the amount of restaurants who use this practice and do not disclose it.....it might save them money but it is a GREAT health risk to customers with food allergies. My husband ordered the whitefish and fries.... I ordered the Chef Salad with only turkey no ham...and what I received was a Garden salad on a side salad plate...with NO meat...and a microwaveable dinner roll (sorry...but when you microwave a dinner roll...and as it cools? it becomes like rubber)...I tried getting her attention to tell her I had received no meat on my salad but she was everywhere but where we needed to see her....I was charged $8.99 for a crappy side salad and microwaved roll... My husband said his fish was fresh but had an odd taste. I suggest a pizza joint or Hardees.....seriously.

I have to part ways with the other reviewers here - we came after hiking and decided to check out the local brewpub. Beer was absolutely excellent - I've rated over 500 beers online on ratebeer and probably have tasted twice that in my lifetime, so trying local beers is something of a vocation for me. Had a tremendous IPA dry hopped with Simcoe hops - big, fruity, fresh and delicious. The pale ale was quite good too. Nice little patio to check out with bean bags as well. Didn't get a chance to check out the food and the locals didn't seem to interested in the microbrew stuff, although they were friendly and very supportive of the local beer. I would highly recommend this place for beer lovers searching for a unique spot. I got word that they had a new brewer and this may be making all the difference. Come with an open mind, meet the locals, have a pint.
Worst beer we have ever had. We were excited for a craft brew but took two sips and did not even try to finish it. We tried the Shooters stout, wheat, and brown. All had a terrible aftertaste like their lines were dirty. The food was tolerable. Server was gruff and unaccomodating.
Waitress was rude, very unwelcoming. She yelled and acted loud and obnoxious. This place could be really nice if they had a nicer bartender. We drank one beer and left.
